I originally took my Volvo to this dealership because the check engine light kept coming on. They said they repaired the issue but the light would come on again a few weeks later. This went on for a few months. In fact the last time it came on they said it was the gas cap. I paid for a replacement gas cap and it came on again. A few weeks after that my engine started to make a noise and I took it back. This time they told me my engine needed to be replaced and first tried to charge me 10,000 to replace the engine that they hadnt even taken a look at and then tried to talk me into buying a car from them. I am so disappointed in this shop. The representatives at first were real nice. I was not expecting this. I would not recommend anyone to get repairs done here. They are nice but the mechanical skills are very limited.

The staff was respectful and courteous. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation, it took FIVE hours. I understand being busy however, if I scheduled an appointment and told them why I am bringing it in for service, it stands to reason they would provide quick and through service. It was not quick or through, when I picked up my vehicle and proceeded to drive away the TPMS light came on indicating low tire pressure. When I called to see if I could bring it back to have them look at it, they were closed. I called the manager and left a message, we shall see if he gets back to me in a reasonable amount of time.
Mechanic Allen is fantastic! What a great guy! We appreciate him! There were three others in service that were nice too. End of the day and still courteous!
I can’t say enough good things about the process of buying my XC90 here. Raul was very professional and easy to work with, and at no point did I feel like I was in a stressful “car buying experience”. They gave me options along the way, and I picked up the car the next day so I didn’t have to sit around for hours. The paperwork took all of maybe 20 minutes max, and I was on my way. Easy Breezy.

The car buying experience was quick and smooth until we got to the finance part. We decided to not purchase the extended warranty at that time and the mood completely shifted after that. It was a very negative vibe. I love the car and the general experience was not bad but it was disappointing to end the buying experience on such a negative vibe.

Many of those purchases involved a trade in . Our experience at Wynne Volvo was one of, if not the best weve had. Our sales consultant, Roy Brunner was helpful and knowledgeable. The price for the used vehicle we purchased, as well as the offer they made for our trade in were fair- my husband wasnt even compelled to haggle. The process was quick and painless. We didnt feel pressure. Roy took the time to explain the many features of our new car. Overall, were extremely pleased with this experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Very disappointed. Trying to spend almost $3000 to add running broad to my XC90 as a anniversary gift to my husband. We are in store on Feb 23 and orde it and pay for it. They told us take couple days to get the running board cause they do not have in stock which is understand . We expected to get installed At the beginning of the March as latest. But it been push over again and again until my husband get very upset and disappointed. Even when I call trying to cancel it the manager said will be there next day but he call me the day after said still need two more days ! Really bad experience.

After looking at what must have been 15 XC90s we found the perfect vehicle for our family. 10/10 would definitely recommend!
This is the worst dealership I have ever been to. They are money hungry and they have a thief working as a mechanic. I put my car in the shop. They kept my car for a week, when I got it back various parts had been stolen from the engine compartment. If you value your car dont take it here. I would leave my car at the hardees next door before I left it here again.Unless youre buying new they dont care about you. And thats the truth.

Service team is top notch! Easy and up front. I went in for my S60 60k service. I told them what I needed beyond that and they handled it with ease. Along the way they communicated very well so there were no surprises. This is why I only buy Volvo’s.
I went in to get an oil change and inspection sticker. At 7:3o am I was the only person waiting. They were quick and efficient. Everyone had on a mask as I did. After about 30 min I was joined by three other people. Two had on masks and one did not. That lady without a mask sat at the counter talking in the phone very loudly. Wished someone from Volvo would have asked her to step outside or put on a mask. But no one did. I left the room and waited for my car by the service bay. . I’m guessing through these trying times we can’t expect all to be considerate

Was looking at purchasing a vehicle from this establishment. Called on a Friday to make an appointment on Saturday. Speak with a salesman Dwight Carter and he confirmed that the vehicle was there and that I could see it Sat. morning at 9am... When I arrived he stated that the car had been transferred to another dealership and it was no longer available. He didnt call ahead of time to let me know the changes that had occurred. He also stated that his manager didnt see the appointment and thats why the car wasnt available!!!! Major errors on their behalf!!! I wasted my gas and time! And to top it off I really had my heart fixed on this car... He was unapologetic and I felt like I was just a number. Not a pleasant experience!
Best Customer Service! Ed Balingit is the only person I want to deal with when I come to Wynne Volvo! It was our first time getting our T5 S90 serviced, and Ed took the time to explain our warranty and what may or may not be covered. Eds communication and customer service skills are what you don’t see anymore. He ensured our car was properly serviced and explained what to expect as far as cost when we come back again. Ed is a true professional and very friendly. Definitely the maintenance representative you want to represent your car dealership!
My emergency ABS light came on, and when I reported this, the service department was able to provide me a loaner car almost immediately. At first it looked like it might be covered by warranty, but it turned out to be caused by rodents chewing on wires. The high expense of repair is why I only give 4 stars. I know, its a Volvo, but I’m living on a tight budget at the moment. The service is always friendly!

The service rep was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Great service but the prices are too rich for my blood. Took sons car in because it had a weak start cycle. $159 for diagnostics and the a bill for over $500 to put a new battery in. I declined service and just got a battery from OReillys and spent 200 less than I would if I let Volvo VB put a new one in. And I got a 3 year warranty on battery. But the service provider was great!

Extremely overpriced!!! $200 just to say whats wrong with the vehicle and the repairs are literally double the cost of a more reputable shop that we chose to go with instead. Great people that work there and great customer service. I dont have anything bad to say about the people working there but the costs are ridiculous when you can get the same quality elsewhere at a much more affordable cost. We will not be returning or purchasing another Volvo after this one dies.

From the moment I arrived, the greeting and service was top-notch. My service advisor, Mike, was ready for me, took the keys, and showed me to the customer lounge. While I waited, he checked with me to keep me appraised of the status of my car. The lounge had good coffee, bottled water, and some snacks. Also, they had WiFi and charging stations.The car was returned and problem certainly seems to have been resolved.Great visit!

Of all the car purchasing experiences we have had over the years, our recent purchase at Volvo Cars of Virginia was by far the most enjoyable. The Parts Department is beyond outstanding. My V60 Polestar had roadside debris damage on one of the wheel here in NC, and at the time i was told by my dealer in Raleigh NC the 19 Polestar winter wheel was back ordered from manufacture. Felicity @ Parts was able to locate one for me and had it shipped to my door with in 2 business days. To my luck, the replacement wheel came damaged out of the box, it was towards the end of the working day at this point, however, Felicity took on the extra mile to not only filed the claim right the way (@445pm) and was able to have the wheel replaced via another drop ship directly from Volvo. You will be in good hands if you take your Volvo here and even if you dont live in VA. I will not shop anywhere else from here on out. Customer service, communication and reliability are top notch here in my book.

I am a firm believer that a car dealership without the backing of excellent service center is a sinking ship. I drove from New York to Chesapeake when my left engine hood latch malfunctioned. It doesnt matter how many times I opened and shut it to reset the latch, it will not latch. I taped the hood for safety and made an appointment at Volvo of Virginia Beach. Advisor Mike Villaluz was extremely helpful and professional. To make a long story short, my latch is fixed and because it was just an adjustment, they didnt charge me anything. They also fix my wifes dead Fob (needed new battery). Mike is an asset to this dealership and the service center is highly recommended.
Ask for James Lee. He was always available and able to answer my questions. He found me the exact car I wanted and it was one that was hard to find. He continued to help me after I bought the car and answer all my questions. I went to other car dealerships and I didn’t find anyone else as knowledgeable about the cars they had.

Because 9 years has gone by since my last experience buying a car at this dealership a lot has changed.First, is this Volvo dealership has changed owners twice and Volvo itself and its travel conciergehas changed so this purchase experience was not the same as the first.I was disappointed at how the changes have not benefited the customer. New people and new changes created much confusion to our dismay.Even now, you are asking for a review and we do not have our car as of now.The first experience was so pleasant that I let some of it flow into this one and continued with our purchase.There are too many changes to mention here.

Had a pleasant experience with Roy my sales agent. I live almost 3 hours from the dealership so most of all was done over the phone and email. I purchased a 2015 Jeep and since it was previously owned I had concerns just as anyone. The purchase from a Volvo dealer did increase my level of confidence. Plus I had a past business relationship from the sales manager Manny who treated me fairly before. All this added to my confidence. Very important to me was the verbal description of the vehicle. Had I drove 6 hour round trip and discovered the vehicle was not described accurately I would have been upset. But this was not the case Roy was 100% honest in describing the vehicle. When I traveled to VA Beach it was to buy, not look. The Jeep was maybe better than expected. Me and Manny are already are planning my next purchase.Oh btw, the dealer prep was amazing, I felt as if I was leaving with a new Jeep.I see no reason they would treat anyone different than me so maybe this positive review will assist you making you decision with Wynne. I took my 2018 Volvo in for 10K mile service., The consultant, Edwin, was very friendly and efficient. The paper working processing was quick, and the reserved loaner vehicle was ready. I was called promptly upon completion, and the car exterior was washed and very clean.
Recent Repair ServiceI was experiencing an unusual mechanical issue with my new XC 40. Because of the Covid-19 restrictions. The service Manager drove from VA Bch to the Western Branch area of Chesapeake to meet with me, discuss my issue and drop off a loaner car. He then spent the next two days diagnosing and adjusting the car to my satisfaction. He communicated several times with me during the process. This is an outstanding dealership. I would strongly recommend Volvo of Virginia Beach to anyone considering a Volvo purchase or needing a solid shop to repair or maintain their vehicle.

I took my Volvo in for a pre- trip maintenance . When they called and said my car was ready I hurried back to pick it up. I was told there was a small problem. Oil had been spilled and they were cleaning it up. I waited over an hour. Finally I got my car and hit the rush hour traffic for a 2 hour trip home. Within half an hour I looked down and the check engine light was in. It was not on when I left it that morning. I called and they said bring it b as back in . No way! I drive home and took it to my local mechanic. . Long story short volvo had Broken a cover on a part of my car. It cost me over. $ 800 to repair. Volvo would only reimburse me $400. Never again!
If you need your Volvo serviced, call and ask for Ed. He is very honest, professional, friendly and will make sure you get the best customer service there is. We will definitely be back the next time our Volvo needs maintenance. Ed will make sure you leave with a proper diag and a smile.

Their website allowed me to choose which vehicles I wanted to test drive before I came in and once I decided to purchase a car the process didn’t take long and I didn’t get any undue pressure to buy a ton of extras. Scheduled an appointment for 9 am with the service department. Vehicle ended up being held over night. This was after informing them that I had to travel from over 2hours away with an 8 week old baby! Not sure what the point of making an appointment is if they are gonna take some many cars that cant keep things moving in an orderly fashion. To top it off, the member helping me was not at all very apologetic. Unfortunately they are on of the only certified dealers near me. Thinking of making the extra miles to new location next time.

I was given a couple vehicles to test drive without pressure and felt that they wanted to earn my business. I have not yet decided on the car I want but I would certainly not hesitate to visit Wynne again and work specifically with Ken.

Went to have my keyless entry fixed on my 2011 s60. Back doors would work if keys were held 6in or less from the handle. Front would not work. There is a tech journal as Volvo has had problems with this for years..Asked if they could fix the front doors without fixing the rear. Service advisor told me that would not be a problem. They fixed the front connectors and it still didnt work. Then they called and told me they needed to charge me a 200 diagnostic fee for a problem outlined in a technical bulletin. End result it cost 700 to get the doors fixed over 2x what I was quoted and the problem was exactly what was described in the tech. Bulletin. Doors are working fine 2 months after repair. I was not happy and posted a poor review. The service manager read my review and refunded my diagnostic fee. On reflection if I was dissatisfied, I should have discussed it with the manager; they care about their customer satisfaction and do good work.

Scheduling service was easy and effective. The Service Advisor, Ed Balingit was helpful and a delight to work with.They even washed the my car!!
Staff is courteous and professional. Prices are a tad too expensive. I wanted to get an oil change and was told up to $130. I normally pay up to $90. #robbery. I cancelled the oil change and just had the tires rotated for $40 (really, 40?). I will take it to Volvo when I have no other choice only because of the pricing. Again, the staff was wonderful. As usual, the service up until i had to deal with the what i believe is the manager was outstanding. I can not remember his name, butbit starts with an E greeted me when i arrived, immediately let me know he would get me rolling as soon as he was done withbperson in front of me. Hebtold me i was already in system and he was gonna get me rolling with my inspection. I told him no hurry, we were dropping off. I got a call that everything was good to go, come get my truck. I go in and this guy sitting on the right, acting like he was the owner of the facility looked at me and kept talking on the phone...didnt seem to be customer related... I then waited about 10 kins for him to NOT schedule the work order needed for a rattle in my truck that was written at bottom of my receipt. I got my receipt and my keys...he turned and walked away without a thank you or have a good day. He is always this way and if it wasnt for Marvin Smith, who is not there anymore, i would take my business elsewhere....btw, i purchased a truck, my wife an suv, my son a car, my best friend a tryck and suv, and my wifes friend a truck in last 2 years. This was my 3rd, 4th, and 5th purchase from him in 4 years. Guess they do not care about people the way he did. If it wasnt for the gentleman whose name started with the E (this guy cares about your business), i would say i would have to try somewhere new. I honestly hope these comments are read by the powers to be there because this guy should not be in customer service, not even at the gas station........i manage a $65m a year retail store and own a retail storw and a place that entertains the public and if my associates acted like that, they would not be working for me, not a good look for business in these trying times.
I was able to get an appointment quickly and the service manager was very polite and made that I knew what the mechanic found before moving forward with the work.Overall a good experience.
LOVE my Volvo! Wont drive any other vehicle. Period. Will drive an old Volvo over a new something else. Was in an accident last month and my XC90 took it like a champ! Always an excellent product and customer service!! A++
