Last year, I had an eye exam and encountered a staff that was too quick during my visit and I felt like a number not a person. This year, it was a bit of a mess at first, until I met John. My initial consult during eye measurements and air was a bit uncomfortable. However, I expressed my feedback to this helpful individual, who than provided outstanding guest service. He allowed me the opportunity to revisit and be reexamined for my own account that everything was accurate. I really felt as if he went above and beyond to assist me and address all of my concerns. When we spoke, I was not talked over. I even asked very specific questions about PD, astigmatism, and powers. I wasnt rushed and I deeply appreciate it in a fast moving world. The rest of the staff also continued to offer a warm needs assessment and knowledgeable solutions so I may order frames online. The atmosphere is very professional and I respect that they still take the virus seriously too, as many other businesses in the same field have lifted some safety protocols recently. I feel in good hands now knowing Waco Vision Center has a captain who will take care of its crew and our community. This business has high standards and morals showing they walk the talk. Thank you so incredibly much for turning a frown into a smile. A forever customer.

My appointment was at 4:15, but I didn’t see the doctor until after 5:30. I didn’t mind waiting, but really did not appreciate being in a small waiting area with three other people.My doctor, Kathy McCain, was late for a personal appointment, but did not rush me through my exam. She was extremely thorough. She showed me the pictures of my eyes and explained the results. She was patient while asking is 1 better or 2? 3 or 4? She allowed me time to look through the different lenses and even flipped back a couple of different times to let me determine which one was clearer.I highly recommend Dr. McCain at Waco Vision Center to anyone needing an eye exam. She gave me options on different types of contacts and when I told her I order my glasses online she instantly measured my pupillary distance.Dr. McCain was one of the best eye doctors I’ve ever been to. She was friendly, patient, kind, and worth the wait.The reason for 4 stars is the small packed waiting room. Waco Vision Center is not in-network for my plan, but they made me aware of that beforehand. Im glad I went through with my appointment. Make your appointment with Dr. McCain today!!

Everybody there is very sweet and helpful. Dr Martinez has a very sweet, patient, snd calming personality. Ive had a lot of frustration eith my vision following a severe eye infection two years ago that left me with really dry eyes, amd also with the development of close up vision blurriness combined with the astigmatism Ive had foe many years, and Dr. Martinez was very patient and understanding and worked with me till we got my prescription right, as well as made some recommendations for my dry eyes thst are very helpful. The rest of the staff has been super sweet too as far as getting appointments scheduled for me. I came in one day in tears, just walked jn, bc I was still so frustrated, and a lady there was very sweet and took me back and checked some things with my close up vision and got me scheduled to come back in. Basically everybody has just been very kind there, I have an accurate prescription thst works for my close up and distance vision, and my dry eyes are being addressed. I definitely recommend this team to anybody looking for an optometrist snd I plan to be back next year as long as my insurance allows.

I was refused service. I am disabled and prohibited from wearing a mask. I have my doctors letter of confirmation that I cannot wear a mask for any period of time. There are safe ways to accommodate persons such as myself. I have filed a complaint with Disability Rights of Texas. FYI. Dr Putney gives persons their choice about wearing a mask and will be doing my long overdue eye exam.

The Dr explained everything and the staff did all of the testing efficiently. I was in and out in no time.

Dr. Do was excellent. I wont go anywhere else. I got the answers I needed at a very affordable price. All the staff were friendly and attentive.

I failed to mention the Dr. Dr. Do was so nice and friendly. He explained everything where I could understand. This is by far the best Dr. and office I have ever been to. The eyeglass place next door should take lessons. I guess adding this deleted my previous raving review of the whole staff. Oh well if you need an exam or contacts this is definitely the place to go. They are by far the nicest, friendliest and professional staff. It is hard to find great customer service anymore, and this place absolutely has it.

Dr. McCain improved my vision substantially over that of the low vision specialist I saw. Her staff provided an extremely thorough examination and truly cared about improving my sight and my well being. I highly recommend Waco Vison Center

Dr. Clark was very pleasant, very knowledgeable and concerned about me getting my eyesight good again. They got me in quickly and out quickly. I was very pleased.

I love Waco Vision Center and this is the only place I would go for an eye exam in Waco. They are really thorough and helpful to make sure my prescription was 100% right, and actually explained things to me so I could understand what was going on with my eyes. The people working at the front desk were all very friendly and everyone in the office did a very good job of cleaning and making sure everything was sanitized. They used to do walk ins but now you have to make an appointment, so call them or go by to make an appointment first so you din’t accidentally waste your time. Kathy McCain is the one who did my exam and she was really great. There was one guy working at the front desk who was especially funny and helpful so shoutout to that guy even though I don’t know his name. He found my insurance that was in the system weird since my name has an apostrophe in it and figured out how to pull it up.

Went here this morning, they have the best customer service. I have not received this kind of service in a long time. Every person in the office was so nice and professional. THEY SCAMMED ME! It was my first time here and I usually go to Salganik Vision Group & Optique but I wanted try a new place. I went in for an eye exam which is $20 and I order some contacts which is covered by my insurance. I get to the counter and they tell me it’s $80. How did an eye exam go from $20 to $80?! There this little extra bit they love to forget telling you about which is contact fitting fee. When I go to Salganik Vision Group & Optique its part of the eye exam. I will never go back!

I always go to Waco Vision Center for my optometry needs and recommend all my friends, family, and all associates. Dr Do did an excellent exam on me. The Staff are very nice, polite, and professional. I have also been frequenting Eye Mart Express ever since I have started wearing glasses

This place is great! the best customer service around even behind the mask. I had both of my boys seen in less than an hour. They are great with children. If I could give this a 100 stars I could!

They saw us pretty quickly and we loved how Dr. Prince explained everything to my 10 yr old so she could understand. Was fun and light the entire time. Will definitely be going back.

Since they are doing appointments only you would think it would run smooth. Not!! I was 15 minutes early to my apartment because there would be paperwork to fill out. Got that done way before my appointment time. Make yourself comfy because you will be sitting in the lobby for awhile. Would not recommend this place unless you have nothing to do and time to kill.

I had heard good things about this office and I love the Eyemart people. So I try it out and absolutely hated my experience. The front desk women were unprofessional. They walked me into a room that already had a patient and doctor and had to stop and turn back around. Then the doctor couldnt even find the contacts I needed because of how unorganized they are.

DR.McCain was very nice and she even gave me more help for some allergies I was having trouble with I couldnt ask for a better experience!

Dr. McCain is an excellent Optometrist and her support staff are very helpful. On top of that her prices are very reasonable.

Arrived early since it was walk-in appointments only. Waiting area packed all but the three seats left available. Greeted so kindly. Total wait wait 25 minutes. AMAZING doctor. Mrs. Kathy! She made me feel so comfortable and understood the severity whether minimally or maximum of my eye care. She told me that she was going to change my eye sight and let me say when I received my glasses (bifocals) I cried because it felt so good to see clearly again. She is a warm, kind hearted, caring lady. The staff were so professional and great customer service.Once given my script went right next door and was greeted by Marizol. Another sweet kind caring lady. She helped me find the best frames to fit my facial structure as well as looked good on me. She walked me through what my insurance covered and made it a great experience. Overall for not even living in that particular area I would have to say...patience is a virtue and these ladies are worth waiting to see. Best places I’ve been to in awhile. Thank you again for helping me to see more clearly and feel more confident.♥️🤓

I visited Waco Vision Center recently due to a concern regarding my eye health following multiple trips to my primary doctor, multiple medications, and two weeks with no change. The front desk staff assisted me very quickly and appeared to genuinely care about my issue. Dr. McCain was absolutely amazing! She was so kind, patient, concerned, and attentive during my entire visit with her. I dont have enough words to express how thankful I am for her care and compassion. I will recommend this facility and Dr. McCain to anyone in need of eye care!

Difficult to find but everyone is very nice and eager to help. Wait time for my walk-in was not too long. Exam was super quick and Dr. Johnson was so sweet! Got a much-needed updated prescription and was able to get new glasses right next door. Will be back!

I was beyond impressed with the patience, kindness, and professionalism the entire staff at Waco Vision Center displayed on my recent visit. They were quite busy but it didn’t phase them in the least and they worked hard to treat each customer as if they were the most important person that walked in to their office that day. Dr Lho had several patients to see but he took the time to discuss procedures and concerns I had as well as plans for my next visit. I would recommend this office to anyone.

I visited this place on a Saturday morning and I was so happy to be pleasantly greeted with a smiling staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Dr. McCain was knowledgeable and I could tell she cared. I’m used to a mediocre eye exam visit and this place was the total opposite. I’ll be back for sure! Since they only take walk-ins, I would definitely recommend getting there as early as possible if you go on a Saturday.

I visited Dr McCain for the first time ever this week with my son because he was due for his yearly eye exam. Hes been in glasses for 15 years and has been getting yearly eye exams for that long. I can say with all honesty that Dr McCain was the absolute best, most patient and thorough optometrist weve EVER seen! In all of those years we were never told my son had a depth perception issue! NEVER...IN 15 YEARS! There was quite a wait when we went BUT it was completely worth it! The staff was so very friendly as well! I highly recommend this office, staff and Dr McCain!

After having a bad experience at another Dr.’s office I called here and they were able to see me the same day. Everyone is very courteous and nice! Hey got me in quickly. Dr. Melinda Johnson is the best! I’ve had other doctors rush through the exam, but she took her time and made sure my prescription was correct.

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. McCain on October 14, 2019. The office was extremely busy due to school being out, and I was the last patient of the day (and a new patient). The doctor, as well as ALL of the staff, were very gracious and pleasant, making me feel welcome. I can not say enough good about Dr. McCain. I know I am hard to fit with glasses, but she was very thorough and patient. Her compassion was evident as she worked to help me see the best I possibly can. I am so happy to have found Dr. McCain and Waco Vision Center!!!

I went yesterday (Monday). My wait was rather long...about an hour and a half before being examined. But the young lady who did the pre-exam procedure was super professional and pleasant and a burst of personality and sunshine! She was amazing, and so positive and seemed to really enjoy working with people! She is a great addition to Waco Vision Center! Dr. Do was great and friendly and took the time to answer my questions. Ive been using the Waco Vision Center for over 10 years.

The staff here is extremely friendly. I brought my mom to get her eyes checked out, and everyone took great care of us starting at the very front desk, all they through to the Doctor who took her time and looked at everything that needed checking. I wound up getting my diabetes eye exam as well, and they used technology to check my eyes that did not require dialation. For all the two of us got done, the cost was very reasonable.

I had very little wait time during the lunch hour. All the staff is kind, professional, and informative. Dr. McCain was such a pleasure and she took extra time to educate me on my eye health.

Dr. Do and Dr. McCain are great doctors. I had a great experience throughout my eye exam and was informed of a diagnosis Dr. Do believed I showed signs of. He helped calculate which contacts would give me the best rebate and helped figure out how many quantities of contacts I should buy in order to maximize the amount insurance would pay. 10/10 recommend.
