Ive always enjoyed the helpfulness and patience of tops employees. I rarely go there because their prices are insane, even the deals are not quite really,,deals,, .four stars for the employees if they were like people at Walmart however I would give them a one star.

Best store for certain brands and products. They carry Black River eggs while Price Chopper (or what the hell ever they call themselves this week) carries mostly brown eggs in a few brand names or a poor quality store brand with thin porous shells, defects, huge membranes, etc.Always seems to be a problem with getting Pepperidge Farms breads at most times. Plenty of the dry heavy Arnold breads in stock, but the Pepperidge Farms Butter Bread, Farmhouse, Sour Dough and other varieties are always sold out.It has been this way for 4 years plus that I know of. But like retailers they do not seem to be able to regulate the quantities of brand and varieties to keep faster moving items in stock. If they did there would be less of the Arnold and more Pepperidge Farm.And with the merger with Price Chopper it may get worse. Price Chopper cant even keep the Arnold butter bread on the shelves. They stock 4 loaves of that (if any) and rows of the dry heavy breads.

This is closest grocery store to my new house and I will drive 30 mins to avoid from going here again. I gave this place a few tries and every time I end up with spoiled food. Today the majority of their fruit in the section has mold on it. There is hardly ever anyone working to report this today. Try going here after 7 pm and you will find self checkout only and no one manning it or they are in their cellphone. I’ve taken numerous pictures to send a complaint to their corporate HQ.Today I ended up with two items that were completely freezer burned upon opening and when I search for the date they are selling nearly expired freezer burned food! When you go in the bottle and canned drink section you will find old versions of drinks and when I mean old as in the company hasn’t made them like that for more than a year! It’s disgusting and appalling, I will gladly drive to Hannaford’s and give them my business.

Nice staff and good selection. Unfortunately this place is just crazy expensive. We really only use this place for random stuff we don’t feel like driving across town for. I do not recommend doing your weekly shopping here.

They are expensive and then they said only self-service was open and I was tired and really did not want to do what they get paid for being my own casher. And bought bread there that was moldy not recommendable

I ordered cupcakes for a special event. The order was lost, but the sore manager and two of his team bent over backwards to make sure I received the cupcakes on time for the event. Thank you for the friendly service and making it right!

Friendly people great Donuts and good prices

My wife keeps telling me to stop going to the one in Seaway Plaza. Shes purchased cheese and once she got it home, realized it was moldy. Just today I bought a pack of red potatoes and they were all rotten. Unless you buy their brand, good luck keeping a gallon of milk in your fridge for more than a few days.

Always fun to go to TOPS. Just be ready to buy alot of stuff to fully utilize their deals. Pricing besides that is a bit high, but this one does have some nice people working there atleast.

So friendly and helpful. Prices are excellent and then they add sales on top of that so it’s REALLY the best deal in town for groceries! Their produce is fresh. Their store brand of frozen vegetables are excellent quality. Sometimes you get lucky and find delicious bakery bread on clearance for a dollar! Every store should be like Tops.

Good Place to shop for grocery but customer service manager Jessie and assistant manager from deli are rude and treat other employees horrible. Thats why people dont want to work there anymore. Very unprofessional.

The TOPS on Washington St. goes out of their way to help every customer. The TOPS on Rte 11 North is the opposite of the Washington St. store. My rating is for Washington St.

Its a small store to begin with, but it pretty outdated and needs to be fixed up a little. I love Tops, however this store NEVER has their sales in stock, unless you go the day it hits sale. If you cant go first thing in the morning, I wouldnt bother going. Your better off driving to another Tops.

Very clean and has the most Hispanic frozen goya foods which are hard to find in upstate NY

Sales are good, employees are nice, they could be more organized to be faster and more efficient. Deli probably should freshen their salads a little more often. I absolutely love the bakery area where they allow you to pick out your own amount of candies and such.

I only go there for convenience since they are close to me. Their prices are high and the quality of their meat is horrible. I do, however, use their app to check for weekly specials because you can get some great deals, for instance I recently got Smithfield center cut bacon for BUY 2 GET 3 FREE! Just need their bonus card

Asset to the Northside. Only full service grocery store on this side of the river. Prices are a little high, but they have good specials and continue to honor P&C cards. The staff is helpful and many of them have worked in the store for years.

It was the worst experience I have ever had! With the self check out the machine kept glitching and the attendant that was there wasnt very friendly or knowledgeable! If you have a cart full of groceries a REAL person should check the people out thats what they get paid for!

Tops had decent deals and everything is easy to find but those self checkouts are garbage. I will never go back. Shopping took me 15 mins and the self checkout took 22 at which i gave up and left all the food at the checkout. Rediculous

Friendly and helpful staff at this store. Convenient and comparable prices when using their discount card.One thing I really like is there 3 or 5 for a price. They portion out the meats or vegetables, etc so you can buy a group of items for a base price. For example an end display of zucini, yellow squash, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, 3 kinds of onions, onions and peppers, carrots, lemons, limes, and pomegranite. Pick 5 portioned packages for 10$ or any individual one for 3. Portions are about right for 2-3 adults or young family of 4. Brilliant!

Fairly close by with good prices with my discount card and coupons. Staff friendly. Clean produce. Bottle return and a rest room if needed. Near a Kinney Drugs if multitasking.

I personally dont like it and I think their prices are out of control and I can do better at any other grocery store.

I have always enjoyed the quality of the food though not always the prices. Today however the prices were glorious and quality still great.

It was my first time there. I try to shop at as many local grocery stores as I can, rather than making Walmart my default, since it is closest to my home. Maybe it was because it was Sunday, but there were plenty of empty shelves and I couldnt find several things on my list. I searched for low carb tortillas, pork rinds, Dukes brand jerky, or other brands of bacon jerky, Purina Pro Plan dog food, and I found none. At the end of my shopping, I had 4 bags of groceries at a cost of $97. A Walmart trip would have been half that. One good point was the local produce which looked terrific.

Their selections were okay. Could be better. Prices were a little high.

The staff is so rude. You ask a question about a sale item, not on the shelf, and you get a curt response. And no offer to see if they even have it. You get absolutely no greeting from the cashiers, and there’s no one around to help you find anything. I only go there for one or two items, for major grocery shopping I go elsewhere. No wonder they’re sinking 😡😡😡😡😡

The signs make it seem like youre going to get a good deal but they arent, its false advertisement! The 5 for $20 deal isnt what they make it out to be! If you mix the items wrong you dont get the deal! Make sure you ask which items to get otherwise theyre clean and the people are friendly.

Tops is close and convenient for grocery shopping but if you dont have a discount card it can be a little pricey.

Husband and I loved going to tops the prices were cheap. Although there is a cashier with curly red hair that asked my husband for his phone number, if hes military and if he wants to hang out with her. We were very uncomfortable after that and decided not shop there anymore. My husband felt very uncomfortable and after stating he was married she disregarded what he said and asked him out anyways. Very unprofessional, she should look for a mate on her own time.

Well,I dont shop there often and prolly never will again. I watched a girl stand on the food prep counter putting up a sign leaving visible dirt on the counter. When she got down and walked away,the other woman began putting open an pack of meat in the same place the dirt was. I dont recommend any one go the deli at tops store in Watertown NY.

The lines are usually long with not enough cashiers. So a lot of waiting. The workers in the deli are rude and ignore you. Price Chopper and even Wal Mart is a lot better. After enough bad experiences I refuse to shop here anymore.
