Had a hair appointment scheduled. 30 minutes before my appointment I get a call from the stylist that her other client is coming in late and she couldn’t fit me in. No apologies, just straight canceled on me. If it were a customer doing this the stylists would want some sort of nonrefundable prepayment.

Tonight my friend and I needed to pick up a specific lash for an event she was doing makeup at tomorrow, and they were so accommodating to make sure we got our products when we call ahead. We also witness Andree (spelling?) handle a mildly uncomfortable customer situation with grace and patience, and Ezekiel and the other workers were so patient and funny and helpful. Loved our experience!

Poor customer service. I came in to buy two specific shampoo/conditioners because there was an error/glitch in the app that did not allow me to place the order online for pick-up using a 20% coupon that is apparently online only (thats fine). The person at the register saw me try to place the order in the app for pick-up when I was told the coupon could not be applied in store - She saw for herself it was not not working, so she called over the another associate to help. I explained that my products were right here, in front of her, and that since the 20% off coupon wouldnt work in-store, if she could help me place a pickup order so that I could use the 20% off coupon. She first chose the wrong size for both. Then, she tried to ship the products which were literally right in front of her, to my home....why would I want to have an item thats literally right in front of you while I am right in front of you shipped to my house?? She told me I could use the $3.50 coupon off 15 instead the 20% that could save me more than double the amount...Literally they were zero help. I walked out in frustration that something that should be so simple to handle on the associate side could not be done.

Great store with awesome salon & staff! Always sales & great deals!Awesome location. Ulta is always great regarding products they carry and having an amazing selection as far as regular/mass produced brands as well as the high end stuff.I’m a licensed cosmetologist and sometimes the deals are better than my pro discount.The salon is awesome. I work there and love it. The team is great and everyone is pretty much family and really energizing and encouraging to be around.Super fun part time job for retail or cashiers as well, although you have to be 18 or older. You get A 25% discount working there so it’s totally worth it for any and everyone. Oh and stylists get services for free and any employees get 50% off which is a steal.Redken certified salon carrying a wide variety of styling products which are all professional brands that way our clients get to try lots of different things before they buy them even.

Both the He/Shes were extremely rude, and disrespectful, they chose who they were going to be nice to and help in the store, they appeared prejudice and said they would help then would just walk away and ignore what I needed to help someone else! I asked someone for help on purchasing a few things,, her answers were very minimal, she didnt even try to make a sell.. I mean being over bearing isnt good,, but come on atleast act like you like your job and show some kind of interest in what your customers wants and needs. Offer suggestion or any kind of input. Dont just make your customer feel as they are a total inconvenience. I guess I thought when staff is walking around doing much of nothing they would be willing to help and be more helpful,, boy was I wrong.. The staff made me feel out of place. They watched me like I was gonna steal something. I felt very uncomfortable. As I will probably return to ulta but most definitely not this location.

The workers are always helpful (even if you’re looking in areas they normally don’t work in!) and so kind.This time I went in, there wasn’t any music playing and it was the most calm outing ever and I loved it! This is the first time I have felt Ulta lacked in customer service. I left the store and noticed I forgot to hand her my coupon so I head back. I noticed Bryndi saw me walking back to the door and as it had just turned 8pm locked it so I had to knock. I know she saw me as I was at the bottom of the steps outside when she locked the door. I asked if I could please quickly return one item to apply my coupon and she said no that they were closed and I needed to reach out to customer service. There were still at least 4 or 5 customers inside still shopping but she refused. I contacted customer service who told me nothing could be done on there end as it was an in store purchase. I have never left a bad review but this just irritated me so bad. Bryndi I want you to know that I did not appreciate how you handled the situation and really hope your manager coaches you in better customer service. Maybe you were having a bad day but remember you are the face of Ulta while you wear your name badge and should put a little more effort in to insure you Give wow experiences.

Recently, I have been going to Ulta for my curly hair. I am male, and I do care about how I look as it does make me feel better about myself. I think everyone can agree on that. Each time I have been to Ulta, not a single employee has checked on me to see if I have any questions or I need any help. Nor, has there been one around for me to ask and not feel awkward about it. Ive tried multiple brands of hair care, and finally found one that worked based on my own research. This time, I went into Ulta on a Saturday and it was kind of busy. I was here now for skin care, and based on recommendations by friends, I had an idea of what I wanted to get but didnt know where in the store. As I searched around forever, a lady who was working there, I did not see her name, had been asking people if everything was going okay and if they needed help. As she walked down she would ask people next to me, and around me, but once she got close to me she made zero eye contact, and acted as if I wasnt even there. As I tried to get her attention she went to the back talking to another employee by the saloon or whatever it is. She knew I was there, and Im confused as to why I was ignored when I did need help and recommendations. Ill still shop at Ulta, but Ill do it online for now on instead of going to this location.

I love ulta beauty overall. They have everything Im looking for and Ive traveled around to a few locations and everyone is helpful and welcoming. I got my hair permed at this location. It wasnt a bad experience but Ive had better when it comes to perms. The girl had me leave without blow drying my hair. In the past theyve always blow dried my hair with perms. She said she didnt like to do them with perms and it felt like she was just trying to get me out faster. She wanted me to leave with my hair soaked, but I sat there with a towel and tried to get as much of the water out as i could. I cant wash my hair for three days but i think Ill get a better idea of how my hair turned out when i do. Id give 5 stars if it werent for the stylist.

My previous rating of this store was quite positive. After my last visit I am no longer shopping at Ulta. I was followed around the store by an employee. I felt so uncomfortable that I put my items down and walked to the front asking to speak to a manager. Of course the person following me was the manager. I asked to speak to someone else and expressed my discomfort. He explained that they have to walk the perimeter that it was their job. He asked what he could do, and I was too shaken up to say that he should make his store one where people of all ethnicities felt welcome. I went to my car and sobbed. After shopping at Ulta across multiple states Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, California, Utah I have never experienced this. Ive been sensitive ever since to being of color everywhere I go and how that means some people will treat me like a theif. Im just going to avoid shopping in West Jordan all together.

The cashier, Laura was super nice- I ended up asking her all of my questions and telling her my concerns. However, the first girl I went up to for help was rude and made me sound like I was an inconvenience for asking her for help with finding some products. It’s part of the job to go up to the customer and help them out- the customer shouldn’t have to beg you to help them. Tone of voice and rude questions such as “well what do you want?” and coming off as annoyed aren’t customer service appropriate. With that attitude a lot of customers leave the store with a very bad impression. I shouldn’t have to beg you to show me what products you would recommend because you don’t feel like walking around the store with me- that’s just rude. It’s workers like Laura that aren’t recognized for their hard work because of bad workers like this girl.

But I think it was the manager who was just wondering around the store she was a heavier set lady, she was literally breathing down me and my boyfriends neck watching us the entire time we were walking towards the front just looking and the gift sets and I’m more then 99% sure she thought we were going to try to steal 😂. They’re lying when they say they close at 7, as I’m carrying my infant in his car seat and have my toddler with me walking up the steps and they people in front of me go right on, and I’m stopped 2 seconds later being denied because they’re closed. I look at my phone it’s 6:57 and two people literally walked in right before me yeah ok makes sense. Won’t be going there again.

I am very upset at this place!! My friend referred me here because she has very long hair and gets her hair colored and cut for $80 and I was quoted over the phone $75 for my hair which is not even shoulder length to get it colored and cut and when I went in for my appointment today they wanted to charge me $225 for what I wanted done which should have been the $75 and while I am overhearing the lady talk to the salon manager in the back saying I am wrong and whoever quoted me was wrong and that they were going to charge me $225 with how short my hair is and what I wanted done and saying they misunderstood when I told the lady on the phone the exact same thing I told them I wanted in person!! Im sorry but if an employee of the salon quoted me that price it should have been honored !! I will NEVER recommend this place or store even to anyone !!

I had a very negative experience here recently. I had bought hundreds of dollars worth of stuff online and had to return about $250 of it. I was within the timeline, had my receipts and original packaging. The girl helping me with my returns kept reminding me I was doing a lot of returns in a passive aggressive way. When I would apologize or say something similar she would quietly tell me it was fine but then kept reminding me it was a lot and the most returns she’d ever done. Strange. Then her Manager had to come over and authorize it and I tried to talk to the Manager in a friendly way and she ignored me and was obviously and oh so clearly bugged. I. Felt. Very. Uncomfortable. If you don’t want people to do returns, DON’T OFFER A RETURN POLICY. If you offer a return policy don’t make your customer feel incredibly uncomfortable and be rude to them.

I love Ulta, I spend a lot of time and money here. However, whenever I go to this location, and this location only I always have a bad experience. It first starts with their free gifts. I buy an Urban Decay pallet that comes with a bag, they don’t give me the bag. I buy another product that comes with a free gift, they run out. I usually don’t complain since I understand that things run out, but when they have a consistency of not having it, it gets ridiculous. The next thing is the lines. They never have enough people working, and their system is slow. I wait in line, and not a lot of people are in front of me, but I still wait longer then anticipated. It is because they usually only have one or two people working the line, and not only is it unfair to their customers, but also their employees. The last thing, and one of their biggest is the deals. I live for deals, who doesn’t. When I see a deal, it pushes me off the fence to buy a product. I go in, and I see a deal, I buy the product. I check my receipt, and the deal was not applied. I immediately called I had spent $80 on the product instead of 48! I call to see why my deal was not applied, and they say the deal has expired. There is nothing that bugs me more, then when a company isn’t honoring what they put up. If a deal expires then take down the sign. There is nothing more tedious, then a company that doesn’t honor what they say. I had put up with this location because it does get busy, but after everything I had to write a complaint. I will never shop at this location again.

Every time we go in the store is extremely helpful and everyone is so nice to help me find what I need. Hair guy helped me fix my hair and gave me a good price since my last lady dyed my hair yellow and orange! Everyone is so so welcoming and smiley and it makes me feel so good every time I go in there. I cant remember her name but girl with short blonde hair helped me find some contour and she was SO nice! Love this store and all the staff!!

I have a good experience whenever I come here. It’s a clean store and I can find everything easily. However, I always know what I’m looking for and generally where to find it so I have not interacted with the staff other than the nice cashiers. Also, whenever I’ve come to this store it isn’t busy so I’m in and out pretty quickly. There’s never been a line when I’ve gone in so I’m not sure how quick the lines move with other customers waiting. I would take my review with a grain of salt because my trips here are pretty fast and easy. I don’t know how the service is when it’s busy or you need help from the staff. My experience here has been good, however I’m sure it’s different for everyone.

Went in for a free shampoo and wash and walked out paying $200 for a Brocato treatment. When I washed it out, I found it didnt work, so I went back and we left in the treatment longer. I also left with the curl interrupted kit that goes along with the treatment. Long story short, unfortunately for my stylist, Brittney, it worked well so I didnt have to go back. Now, about 11 months later, I finally have to make my next appointment. Brittney walked me through Curl Interrupted and because I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS, I wasnt disappointed. It was the first time my hair wasnt burnt and I will only trust Ulta as long as Brittneys there.

I’ve always tried to love this location. My friend and I wanted to have a lip wax and called to make an appointment. I had received an email saying the benefit bar was open. I called to make sure all features/services were available, I was told by the employee that they are in fact holding all services, and that I can make an appointment. I was surprised but glad she had told me yes. I had her confirm to me two times. A couple days later, we go to this location, and the lady at the bar has us sign some papers. My friend takes off her mask and the lady just stares at her and demands her to put the mask back on. At that moment we find out that the only service available is brows. I understand and can see why this is the only service available now. However, it’s disappointing when you call, ask, and even confirm with an employee that they are offering a certain service only to drive an hour for nothing. We wasted our time, and gas. The manager should have told and assured that all employees know which services were available. This is lack of communication, and does not help the image of this store at all. I made these appointments days ago, they should have checked and called me at least and I would have cancelled without a problem. Another thing that upsets me every time is when I make a return. We have been customers for years and only at this location do we get such sad treatment. The people there act a bit passive aggressive when I return an item. It could be one item or some items that add up to $8 or $90. I’m aware I can try out products and if I do not like how they turn out for me, I can return. It’s draining and hurting to see how employees get bothered when you make a return. I understand how much time it can take and am willing and understanding to wait as long it takes. I don’t mind when they bring or ask someone for help. I’m fine with waiting as much time necessary as long as I get treated as a valued customer. Another reason my friends and I will probably not shop at this ulta location is we are always being followed, and when we need help some people have ignored us until we call for help at least 4 times. The times we have been ignored the employees are not helping others. We’ve also been kicked out along with other customers one day when there were 10 minutes left before closing. There was an employee at the front to make sure no other customer was entering, telling them to leave even though there was time left before the store closing for the day. It really is upsetting how this stores treatment on its customers has become. We will have to choose a different location or brand to shop at. I definitely wouldn’t recommend buying from ulta at Jordan landing. Save the trip for another location even if it takes more time.

I have been inside this Ulta 4 times this summer. Before that, I had only heard of Ulta online in YouTubers videos. I heard that a lot of Ulta employees either on the floor or at the counters were rude, unhelpful, and had a severe lack of knowledge on company policies. But all Ive ever seen and heard from THIS Ulta in Jordan Landing is a whole crew of super sweet people. The men who work there and the women also, are so kind and helpful. I am always not only greeted by 1 person, but often 2 or 3, even if those at the checkout are helping others. They always take the time and the opportunity to greet me.They seem fairly well stocked. But I dont know much about the inventory because I have only been there 4 times. Returning a product if used less than 20% has been simple and straightforward. The music played in the store is never loud or obnoxious. The atmosphere is nice. I feel bad when I see the customers havent been as nice or careful with the demo products. It creates a little mess in the area of the demo, leaving more for the crew to clean up.

Ulta has pretty much everything you could imagine when it comes to cosmetics. From cheap to expensive, there really is a great selection of brands. You can also sample almost everything in the store which is so helpful so you can make sure you live it before you buy!.The thing I dislike about Ulta is the lighting method it hard to match shade. Everytime I am employee matched me for a shade of concealer or foundation, I had to bring it back because it just doesnt match once I get outside.

I try to avoid this specific store as all of my interactions here have been negative but I needed to grab a birthday gift and didnt have the time to drive to a farther location. I went in immediately saw what I needed and got in line. There was only one cashier working and she was with a customer. I waited in line for over twenty minutes while the cashier tried to figure out how to return something. There were two sales associates on the floor next to the cash registers just standing around and talking. She asked for assistance several times and one associate would come help her for a few seconds and then walk back to her conversation. The cashier would immediately get stuck and have to wait for the associate to come over and help again. I watched the cycle repeat itself until she finally finished the transaction. I went to the counter and had her ring up my one item. One of the reasons I went into the store was because this item came with a free gift. I asked the cashier about it and she had no idea what I was talking about. She finally gave me a free lip sample but I was frustrated as the free gift was a nice travel sized mascara I wanted to try. She told me there was nothing she could do. At this point there was quite a line and I didnt want to waste anyones time after we had all waited patiently for the previous transaction to end so i dropped it. I tried to pay with my credit card but it asked for a pin. I told her there was no pin as it was a credit card and she had me hit the red x to cancel it. She had me run the card again and once again it asked for a pin. She then informed me I would need to use a debit card for this transaction. I wasnt aware that specific transactions were debit card only? The whole experience was frustrating. I have run into similar problems every time I have come here. Would NOT recommend this location.

Love this place.Unlike other beauty stores where Ive been treated like I have the plague if Im not in full makeup, I Have stopped in here both when Im Done Up & have also come in with no make-up, looking like a zombie that just rolled out of bed and have always received excellent customer service.

I come here often and was very disappointed in the customer service aspect. I was patiently waiting in line and the girl at the register asks to help me. Two girls walk up and she helps them instead. Then she offers everyone in front of me free samples and doesn’t say anything to me. I was waiting for awhile while both customers were explained everything about the free samples including the girls that cut me off. I was trying not to say anything because it wasn’t a big deal but there is no need to be rude to a random customer and have her watch you being nice to others.

Im mad at myself for not remembering the name of the general manager the other day, but SHE WAS AMAZING. She was so helpful; I was looking for very specific skincare products and she had soooooo much insight about everything. She dropped whatever she was working on and didnt make me feel like a burden. So great! And I love the products ;)

Worst customer service, came here last weekend and today. Both times I recieved rude customer service. I reported both incidents to ultas customer service. Today is my last visit to this location due to the lack of quality customer service. Please avoid this location and shop at a different location.

The employees are always checking to see if you need help. The salon workers always amaze me. I never have left hating how I look. I just got a balayage from Chole and she did amazing with my color and cut. I highly recommend going to her

I had a great experience there with Rachel helping me pick a foundation!! Everybody was very friendly! I like Ulta because they have better deals than other beauty stores (especially Sephora) and they have name brand items, as well as standard brands.

I cant leave this place. Love it! The employees are soo helpful unlike other makeup stores (cough cough sephora) and they always have deals. More deals when you sign up for there membership.
