In the past 5 yrs I’ve visited the West Sac store 1-2 times per yr and yesterday my 13 month old battery wasn’t working correctly. I first called and explained to Cory what was going on and he looked at my history and didn’t hesitate to tell me to come in and he would test the battery. As I’ve come to expect there customer service is outstanding. Cory held true to great customer service. He was fast, effective, knowledgeable and friendly. Cory represents this company well. I’ll continue to buy batteries from them and also recommend them to friends and family. Whatever they’re paying Cory isn’t enough. He deserves a raise.

Over the past two years I have purchased several batteries from the West Sacramento B+B, most of which were specialized house batteries for motorhomes. Today, I purchased a replacement battery for my car, and Maceo - as always - provided excellent customer service and sent me on my way with a great battery, skillfully installed. I really appreciate the knowledge and helpfulness of the guys in this shop, and look forward to doing business with them in the future.

Update on 6/20/20:The other day I went to the store to pick up the dead battery. Surprisingly, they changed mind and gave me a brand-new battery. I am now satisfied with the fact that they finally honored the battery warranty. I am giving a 3-star due to two things: 1) it took me quite some effort to get the warranty honored; and 2) they need to call customers when necessary or as promised.Original on 6/13/20:Do not buy car batteries from this store! Two reasons: 1) Their warranty has a big catch! Batteries lower than 10 volts become ineligible for warranty. Other stores and manufacturers do not have this exclusion. 2) Horrible customer service. They promised to call me the next day 3 times and you know what, no phone calls at all. Their store manager, Corey, hung up my phone call after I asked him why they dont call me.I bought a car battery about three years ago. Last month I parked my car outside for about 2 weeks and the battery died. I took the battery to this store on Wednesday and was told that they would test and charge the battery and call me the next day. Nobody called me in the next few days. On Saturday, I called the store and one employee told me that she did not know the details of my battery and somebody would call me the next day. This time again, nobody called me. On Monday, I called the store again and was told that the battery was below 10 volts and as a result the manufacturer denied the warranty. I requested to talk to the store manager and was told that he wasnt there at that time and would call me back on Wednesday. This time again, nobody called me. I called the store again and was able to talk to the store manager. The store manager repeated that the battery was below 10 volts and not qualified for the warranty. I told the store manager that this battery is defective because a couple of weeks parking on the outside should not drain the battery to some point that it is not rechargeable. The store manager said that it could be because the battery is 3 years old. I made it clear that the warranty is 4 years and a prematurely dead battery is one of the very reasons for customers to have a warranty. He just repeated that its below 10 volts and not good for the warranty. Then I started to ask him why nobody called me as promised. He simply hung up.

My car clicker was not working for about 6 months. I took it here, they changed the battery in about 5 seconds and it was 10 bucks. For an additional 10 bucks there is a lifetime warranty available for as long as you own the vehicle. Pretty cool. Service was fast and awesome. Recommended.

The good: they had the battery I needed, and their pay online-pick up in store process worked great... until I got to the store.The bad: I eventually got out of the store with the battery, but with minimal help, no smiles and no service from the employees other than processing a prepaid battery through their checkout system. This seemed an unfamiliar/slow process for them, although there were a lot of prepaid batteries on the shelf. The original price showed that I hadnt purchased the battery, even though I had a printed confirmation and order number! Had to mention that, he didnt see any problem with a number other than zero. Huh?They did not volunteer information, even when it would have made everything a lot smoother (questions bothered him, too). I hate to think what would have happened if Id had a real technical issue or question.

I ordered a deep cycle battery online the night before and came in early (before 9am) to pick it up and it was waiting behind the counter. I told the young man working the counter that I had a core in my truck. He told me he would carry it in for me which was much appreciated. He asked if I needed anything else. I told him I was looking for a 12 volt LED screw-in bulb. He replied that they did not have them but they do have 12 volt screw-in compact fluorescent bulbs. That was news to me and I bought one. Since I ordered my battery online, I received a 10% discount which was also applied to my bulb. Nice! This is my second trip to Batteries Plus. I am very impressed with their people, prices and selection. I am setting up a solar supplement in my home, so I intend to be a repeat customer here.

Awesome place! Had a key fob I needed to be cut, which they did. However, it had the incorrect transponder for my vehicle and would not start it due to the immobilizer system. The guy helped me for about an hour trying to figure it out! Didnt get the key to work there, so they didnt charge me for it, and I learned that I just need the correct transponder for the key fob.

The real purpose of a business is simply to get and keep customers. If you do that, profits will flow. John Vertrees at your Ikea Court store knows how to treat customers. I ordered online specifically to pick up in the store. The order process was successful but when I called to make sure the product was ready, they could not find it. Luckily, it was available at another store (across town) and I was able to go there and purchase it. However, while I was picking up the product, I made a comment about a different problem I had with their web site and the counter help argued with me that it is working correctly. I had to just shake my head and leave. Overall, not a good experience.

I took in a battery I bought a week and a half before and tried to replace it since I knew the battery was already dead. The guy at the west sac store ran some tests and said the battery was fine and it was my phone and refused a refund or to exchange it.My girl took it to the one on howe and they did testing and told us what we already knew the battery was not good and gave us a refund. I will not be going back to that location and wouldnt recommend it. $40 for a battery thats almost 4 years old is absolutely ridiculous, I found it on Amazon for less than $10, check online before you get Ripped off and horrible customer service

My partner and I just moved into an apartment with awful lighting, and Id highly recommend this store. Christopher helped us figure out what size bulbs we needed, and then entertained us in a lengthy discussion on the merits of soft white light versus cool white light while I went back and forth about color options. One might say he led us to the light. And in fact I did make that joke in the store and he was even cool enough to laugh at it. Basically hes the best and made lightbulb shopping fun and easy. Who knew?!

The dudes here were very helpful. I tried replacing my screen myself, that didnt work out well.. I ended up messing up my phone. I signed a liability / phone was not under warranty form. They told me they might not be able to fix it, but they did!

I ordered a battery for my truck on the website, then drove over to the West Sacramento store and they installed it for me. They used a tool that let me keep my presets while they installed the battery. The Salesman was friendly and helpful.

They offered to install the car battery for free, upon installation they discovered I ordered the wrong battery so they swapped it right out for the correct one and had me on the road, I wasnt there maybe 10 minutes.

We ordered a new battery on line and came into the store to have it installed. Everything went smoothly. We had called all around, to dealerships, garage, car places trying to find what we needed including installation. This was the only place that had it and could do it that day.

I was blown away by my fantastic experience at Batteries Plus Bulbs. A few weeks ago I was told by a salesman at a phone store at the Arden Fair Mall that the battery in my I phone 4S could not be replaced and that I would have to buy a new phone. I said are you telling me that Apple was selling disposable phones?. The salesman looked me directly in my eyes and said yes. I did not believe him. I like my phone and did not want to buy a new one. I called Batteries Plus Bulbs and was told that they had the battery that I needed in stock. I went to the store and they replaced the battery while I waited in just a few minutes free of charge, without losing any of my data. I also took two cordless land-line phones with me and they had the batteries for both of them and they installed the new batteries for me free of charge. One of the cordless phones needed a new battery pad The Salesman cut some double sided self-adhesive foam to replace the old battery acid spoiled foam, also free of charge. I also needed a shorter cord to recharge my cell phone. At first the Salesman said that he could order one for me that was about 1/2 the length of the one that I already had (3ft.). Then he said the he thought he might have a shorter one in the back of the store but that it might not be packaged. He checked and found one that was about six inches long. The exact length that I needed. Everything that I needed that day Batteries Plus Bulbs had. I could not be happier. Also the store was big, bright and very clean! I will never go anywhere else for batteries again!

Awesome service. Ordered a not in stock car battery online and received a ready for pick-up e-mail sixty minutes later. Two hours from the time of placing the order the battery was being installed in my vehicle, oh and installation is FREE ! They had a driver go pick-up the battery I ordered from the warehouse when I ordered it. P.S. - Their Duracell car batteries are manufactured in the USA by East Penn Manufacturing.

I have to tip my hat to Vitaly...This manager went out of his way to make us a happy customer. I simply brought my wifes iPad in for a new screen. This is when bad things happen to good people and good companies like this one..when I picked up the iPad and brought it home the battery was dead. We charged it and it discharged really quickly. This never happened before so I charged it up and drove it back to the store. It was nearly dead on arrival after a couple hours driving. These guys tried everything (not at my expense either) they replaced circuitry, they replaced the battery with a new one, the replaced the port and when non of that worked they replaced the power switch. It turns out that when the glass was replaced something inadvertently was damaged. I essentially walked out with a newer version of the iPad I brought in when all was said and done. I WILL do business with these guys as they proved they are trustworthy and that the customer experience comes first. My new Android ahs a cracked screen and Im going to see if they can replace it as well. Thank you Vitaly and team!!!!

Im only giving this store because the google review requires at least one star. Otherwise, I would give it 0 stars. I wont recount a big story here about the the poor, uninformed, and argumentative service I repeatedly had from employees at this store. The bottom line is that if you have a devise that needs a battery that needs continuous voltage, purchase the battery type and BRAND from a source other than Batteries and Bulbs. Employees here will try to convince you that there is no difference than the brand(s) BB carries, but this most definitely not necessarily true and you may find yourself needing a new battery within several weeks if you take the advice of BB employees, as opposed to needing a battery many months later if you stick with the manufacturers recommendations. I will never return to this store again.

Pass on the Li Battery rebuilds. I had a 9.6v Dewalt drill that has been fantastic for easily 13+yrs. The batteries final couldnt hold a charge so I elected to give BPB a try. Theyve always had great customer service, and why go to Home Depot/Lowes to purchase a replacement made across the pacific when I can get one made right here. Well, about 1.5yrs later one of the batteries had a short while charging and basically fried itself. Since this is only a 9.6v I dont use this for heavy duty jobs, perhaps since the rebuild I used it maybe 5x. Knowing the warranty has expired I took it back to see if it was workmen error. Their response was it was a short due to water/moisture damage and they would rebuild it for a base price of $34.99. Working in a garage on a warm dry day I dont think so. Mind you the Dewalt batteries lasted 4yrs in the hot humid summers of Louisiana plus another 9+ here in NorCal. Overall, not impressed with the batteries. They dont hold the charge like the original Dewalt did, and obviously lack the durability. Explaining this to BPB they stuck to their cheesy warranty, at least they will dispose of the battery for you. Save yourself the trouble just hit up Home Depot/Lowes or order online as you will probably save you $ in the long run. Good luck.
