Im not normally a frappe drinker but the frappes at Java dog are TO DIE FOR!! Their iced lattes are really good too. Love coming here and sitting upstairs to get some work done.

An iconic coffee shop right in the heart of Wilmington. I love grabbing a cup of joe before walking around downtown. They have iced and hot coffee and just about every variation you can think of. I love they have different flavors of the day for you to enjoy. The prices are great and the service is always super friendly and welcoming. There is space inside, in the cotton exchange and outside to sit at.

Truly the best coffee in town. Superb taste, I drink decaf, so this is sometimes hard to find. I like a nice, strong, rich coffee and this is it. Nice service too and a friendly environment as well. Cool spot to go and sit and people watch. All good. I drive 7 miles to go there, past probably 8-10 other coffee spots. Worth it! I like an iced Americano, and its the best. They even made me a pumpkin cream to put in it, (this winter )when I asked if they could, and it was excellent!

Always a wonderful place to have a wonderful cup of coffee & a yummy treat. I still recall years ago when we were invited in by the owners & their beautiful Lab, I believe her name was Mable. Actually she is the one that barked at us from across the street as to call us over, well from that day we have felt at home! Our beloved Cannon has passed on but will always treasure fond memories with him at our favorite place when we visit Wilmington. Thank you!

This place was our only daily stop during our first trip to Wilmington. It’s in a historic building and has an upstairs which looks great for studying. Most of the seats downstairs are by the window and the prices are very affordable. The baristas are helpful and friendly. Also, I think it’s just this town but dogs are allowed everywhere.

Great place to grab a coffee and relax. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Coffee is great and they have many original options for flavors. They also have great smoothies and shakes. Best of all they are dog friendly!!!

I live the iced frappuccino mocha at the Java Dog Coffee House. Its amazing. I drove all the way to Wilmington to get it!

These guys are great! I had just adopted Savannah, a rescue doggie, and they gave her treats. They let her sit inside with me while I worked. Super friendly staff and Savannah gives them two very enthusiastic paws up.

I enjoy a job a dog quite a bit. The people in the ambience is really nice and playful. There are toys everywhere. Not for kids to play with but mostly from the past. Like being in a toy museum. The upstairs and downstairs is a nice touch. The outdoor seating is really cool.

The fireside frappe was super good! It tastes just like a smore! I love the toasted marshmallow flavor. I also tried an apple fritter which was also delicious.Java Dog is located in the front of the cotton exchange and a nice spot to grab some coffee and hangout if you are downtown Wilmington.

This is as its name implies a dog lover coffee house, feline beware. I tried the mocha latte, real!

Sweet, cute and downhome feeling. Got a refill tumbler for $1.50, a almond milk ice coffee and everything bagel. Bagel was perfection. Coffee tasted fresshly ground and atmosphere was welcoming. Enjoyed it. Thanks again.

Great hours for us early birds, has a nice selection of coffee and you can get an extra large big dog size coffee if you are serious about your caffeine like I am. Nicely decorated, lots of comfy seating, you can grab your coffee and sit out at the benches that line the sidewalk or sit inside with your brew and a muffin or bagel. Quick walk from the hotels and a great cuppa Joe

My wife and I just recently moved to Wilmington and were out walking our two pups in downtown today and stopped in at Java Dog to have coffee. We were greeted outside by the owner, he welcomed all of us in and asked us how we were doing and our pups names. We found inside a nostalgic, relaxing coffee shop. The staff were amazing and made us feel very welcomed. The chi latte and chocolate mocha we had was the best we had tasted in town. We also tried the pound cake and it was delicious. We had a great time relaxing inside and talking with everyone .Do yourself a favor and give this great place a try, you will be very satisfied.

A great place to take a break when sightseeing or taking a walk in downtown Wilmington. They have great coffee and snack foods. We make point to go there whenever we are in Wilmington. It is also pet friendly and a favorite with the locals. I would recommend this place.

Excellent location, great atmosphere, tasty coffee. I appreciated that they had simple syrup and agave sweeteners out, makes for a better selection and easier to sweeten cold drinks. Lots of nice coffees for sale by the bag.

Parking is not abundant in this area, but it was a lazy Sunday morning so I found a place right away. Given that, it was a very easy in and out at Java Dog this morning. I am told by my coffee partner that they have the best iced mocha lattes in town. I prefer coffee myself, and theirs is not bad. Not perfect, but very hearty and without the acidity that plagues some coffee brands. I also got the best apple fritter Ive had in a long while.The setting is nice, with lots of places to sit and second level area. Its dog friendly, people friendly, and the location is quaint. If youre a visitor to town youll like that it opens on to the Cotton Exchange, an indoors cobblestone village of shops and other interesting things. Grab a coffee and walk around! Its fun!

Had the BEST Mocha frap here this morning! Plenty of dairy alternatives and my dogs were greeted and loved on like they were family! Super excited to make this a regular stop on our walks.

I love coming to Java Dog because I can bring the dogs in to stop and enjoy a cup of coffee. The staff are always incredibly friendly and nice. By far one of my favorite dog friendly places in downtown Wilmington.

A local tradition. Really good hot dogs of varied styles/meats (even a hamburger hot dog - yes made of ground beef) and toppings galore.Friendly, fast, helpful staff -- they dont stare harshly while you decide between all the choices, but instead wait patiently. And - Reasonably priced.

One of my favorite places to come after or in-between classes! I started coming here fairly regularly since the beginning of last semester for coffees and a quiet place to do homework, and the environment is great. The staff members are all very kind, its a cozy an fun place with its knick-knacks and brick painting. I love getting to eat and work on the second level balcony-like space, and its of course animal friendly. All my coffees, hot cocoas, and seasonal drinks have been amazing, and the muffins are delicious. All around great place and great service.

Extremely soft and creamy mocha frappe that was smooth and did not melt quickly. Ordered it skim then added THE most amazing whipped cream EVER! Highly recommend. Bari Stas were friendly and helpful!

Fast and friendly, but most importantly, dog friendly. Dogs encouraged as a matter of fact. They have treats readily available for them. The human treats are very good too, bagels, muffins, tarts, etc.

The biggest perk is I can bring my dog in when I am downtown. Their coffee is awesome. I love the overall atmosphere of the place. Also the staff is very courteous.

Very quick service. Nothing in terms of view cannot see water. Good priced selection friendly staff. Has okay snacks. Not a good place to sit and read more just a quick pit stop. Never a line. Also not many chairs.

I loved coming here when I was at school at CFCC. The owner and staff are amazing and super sweet. Everything from a plan cup of coffee to lattes to other specialty drinks are great. My dogs also love it. Whenever they would see Paul, they would get so excited! Its a very nice mix of people and dogs! I only wish we had one in Texas now that I am living there!

Coffee and drinks are pretty good. Smoothies I wouldn’t recommend. Weird hours too! But overall a good space to hang out in, and there’s always puppies walking in and out of the place, so it lived up to its name.

This place is always great. There is plenty of seating, they even have lofted seating. Seeing all the puppies is great. They have exciting specials. For Valentines Day they had a list of specials and I got a lavender and coconut latte. It was delicious and they had special carboard hand protectors and even a sticker that was Valentines Day themed. The staff is always sweet and efficient. Prcies are good. Non-dairy options are available.

Love this place. Staff loves dogs that drop in. Therefore you see a selection of dogs whenever you are there. Like the stickers they put on the coffee cup sipping hole. I do have a loyalty card that I get stamped.

This coffee house has a really neat location. It has both street access and is nestled in the corner of the Cotton Exchange. The decor is eye catching and I loved the upstairs seating area.

Stood at the counter for several minutes today while the employee talked on the phone to what sounded like the owner or manager, ran a register total for sales, took inventory of baked goods, etc., she never acknowledged us or let person on phone know she had a customer. We finally walked out. Cant totally blame counter help, owner/mgr had no business calling in the middle of the day worrying about how much shes making...she lost at least a $10 sale on us. No, we are not clueless, we ran a restaurant for many years and we know customer service

Worst coffee I have had in quite a while. I visit local coffee shops whenever I can. I always order a cafe latte. This is the only one that I have actually thrown away. My daughter can drink almost any coffee and she didnt like it either. Wasted $3.
