Yesterday was my 1st app and they are amazing! Im surprised at the bad reviews. Staff was super nice and friendly and explained everything correctly! Every info about what insurance covered was correct and I paid the right amount according to my insurance. The receptionists are also very nice, helpful and welcoming and explain every detail about glasses, insurance, payments etc. Will continue coming here.
Doctors and staff are the very tops and everyone tries their best to make your appointment a pleasant one. Dr. Alana Kretschmaier was very professional and patient with me. They have a nice selection of glasses with educated people showing you what they have. Reception is, well, very receptive. They want to help you. My only Con in this entire office is that they make you wait in the hallway first appts in the morning. They give you 8:00AM appts and dont open their door until 8:00AM.
I was scheduled a annual eye exam with Simon Eye. It was my first time going there and everyone that played a part in my treatment was very nice and courteous. Thats exceptional to me when you see multiple staff with pleasant faces and continuing to be professional at the end of the work day. Thanks Simon Eye! I would definitely refer anyone to them.
Great service, friendly too! Thorough and professional !
If I could truly give 0 stars I would. I submitted a request online (that does NOT include my DOB) to set up a new appt. I got a call from someone and had to call back. The rep who answered the phone asked for my info multiple times after I stated AND informed multiple times that I am a new patient trying to set up an apt. Be it as it may she never found me in the system and wasted more of my time trying to do so instead of just making the appt. Another lady came on the phone-VERY RUDE and attempted to do the same and then asked if I wanted to set up an appt as a new patient.....Her tone was nasty and it was not necc. I only thought about going here because my husband and step daughter go here but after today we will ALL be taking our business elsewhere. Customer service is clearly lacking in this establishment and thats quite unfortunate!
Great staff, easy ordering contacts.
Everyone I have dealt with has always been both courteous, friendly and very professional. The exams are thorough and they do a great job of making sure you are comfortable with the end diagnosis. The office is clean, neat and has a great flow to it. Exam prices are normal to what you would find at most places. The only negative is, unless you have great insurance, the frames they stock can get pricey really quick. But they are up front of the costs, so its not like they are sneaky about it.
I would not recommend anyone to this practice. Their wait times on the phone are often in excess of 30min or more, and they are highly disorganized inside their practice, ordering wrong lenses, ect. Its not worth your time.
Im in my 30s and Ive never had an eye exam before. So, of course, I was a little apprehensive about making an appointment somewhere. Luckily for me, I chose the right place. My experience was top notch from the moment i walked into the office until my appointment was over. I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff members as I entered and I was quickly checked in for my appointment. I sat down in the waiting area assuming it was going to be a little while before I was called. I didnt even have a chance to glance at my phone, I was called back almost instantly. The whole process was so fast and easy. It was all very professional and what amazing customer service. The doctor thoroughly answered all my questions to my great satisfaction (and Im a fairly picky person). After finding out that I needed glasses, Im so glad Judy was there to help me pick a great looking pair of frames. She made it fun, easy, and fast. I think I spent a total time of 30 min in the office from start to finish of my whole appointment. What a great staff and a wonderful atmosphere. I couldnt have asked for anything better. This is definitely my go to place for vision care.
I ordered three pairs of glasses. Two of which came in with micro scratches that can be seen when light hits (almost looks as if the lenses are smudged). Not worth the price even with insurance.
I would leave zero stars if I could but I can’t. Simone eye confirmed my appointment YESTERDAY and I went this morning and the front lady for one needs to learn how to do eyeshadow, besides the point. She said they’re not taking any patients. You could have called me because I drove 35 minutes. And she said “were calling patients to tell them they are on the waiting list” wouldn’t it make sense to call me first since my appointment was today. I suffer from an EYE DISEASE and need to be seen by this specialist. I will no longer be returning. And when I got there all the front seat ladies were just talking among themselves, no one was making phone calls. Very unprofessional.
They lied to me about insurance covering my glasses and charged me full price while telling me insurance covered some of it. Come to find out Simon Eye doesnt even take my insurance.
Honestly my first impressions were not that bad. It’s a nice office, but I continually run into issues with ordering contacts with them. The latest issue was contacts taking over a month to receive. The doctors are great, but man the contacts have been a huge pain.
I had the good fortune to be seen by Dr. Jasmeeta Patel, a visiting physician, for an evaluation/consult for the problem of Narrow Angle. During the consult Dr. Patel was very professional, friendly, and informative. She confirmed that I did have the condition and then explained in detail what the corrective procedure would be. While she offered to do the procedure that day, due to my schedule I was unable to do so. I was then scheduled to have the first eye procedure performed and then the second a few weeks after that. During each procedure Dr. Patels professional and caring demeanor helped to relieve my concerns. The procedures were performed as explained and the results were as desired. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Patel to anyone needing an Ophthalmologist.
Terrible. I had a contact fitting for special contacts for my eye disease and my doctor was not even there today. Who ever took my appointment is at fault. I drove a long way for nothing. The desk ladies do not care about their job and definitely do not care about their patients. There waiting time is also un acceptable.
Exceeded all expectations. Staff is friendly and efficient and not pushy at all to purchase directly from them. I was in and out quickly and felt very supported and comfortable the entire time.
Ive been going to Simon Eye Associates for the past 7 years. I love wearing my large selection of designer glasses. Judy Powell is wonderful and has always helped me in selecting the right pair of glasses for my personal and business career. Judy, thanks for always be so professional and providing me with such phenomenal service. Thanks for making me feel Beautiful!!!! I also enjoying going to Dr. Payne for my yearly check ups. Thanks,Cher
Sells Assoc. Jill in Wilmington Lancaster Rd office was amazing with taking care of my eye needs, I stopped in just to view frames and she assisted me no only choosing a pair of frames but was able to get me in for my eye exam all in the same day. All the staff were pleasant, patient and i had a very professional experience.
Did not provide me necessary information to submit a rebate for the contact lens that I ordered. Called and got a code, which turns out to be invalid.
They are constantly messing up my prescription, saying they have contacts ready for me when they don’t, and so much more. Every time I go here there’s some issue with my contacts that should have been taken care of. I just can’t believe one place can make so many mistakes. I also see a worker there often who always has her mask over her mouth and not her nose.
Only giving 2 stars because the doctor who did our exams was lovely. I ordered 3 pairs of glasses on our most recent visit in the first week of February. Two for my son. One for myself. The sales lady who did our sale rushed us out of the place, was visibly irritated that I took 20 minutes to pick out a pair of frames, and was very upset that I asked her to look up my secondary insurance to see if they would cover a portion of the 3rd frames. She immediately turned down my secondary and insurance without even confirming that it wouldnt work. I spent over $550 at this place (out of pocket, after insurance coverages) the least they could do is get my order right. I stressed to the sales lady that the doctor said I needed anti glare on my glasses due to the vision issues that I have. When I called today to check on the 3rd pair I told them about the glare issues I was having with my new glasses and had them look up my order. Surprise! The anti glare was not put on my glasses. So now, when I go to pick up the 3rd pair of glasses tomorrow, (my 3rd promise that they will be in tomorrow) I will have to send my glasses off for 7 to 10 days to have the anti-glare added. Ive been told 3 times this 3rd pair would be in the next day and they would call me to confirm pickup. On 2/25 I received a text that they would be in on 2/26 and they would call to pick up. On 3/2 they called me to ask if I picked them up at which point I told them they didnt call me to pick them up. They placed me on hold and the glasses werent there, they didnt know what the status was and said they would call me back. Again, noone called me back. Its now 3/11 and Im told they will be here tomorrow and they will definitely call me this time to confirm. Unacceptable! Do better for your customers !!!!
Ive been a patient of Simon Eye for about 10 years now and there is no equal! I have never experienced a more competent or caring team in any health care organization. They are the best!dd
The staff here has always been really friendly and helpful. Its a great place to get your eye exams.
They are good until you lose your insurance and have to use Medicaid, then you are dropped and sent to another place. The surgeon who is so concerned about your eyesight, is blinded by the all mighty dollar.
I had a great experience at this office! I just had an appointment last week. The technician was very friendly and helpful. The Dr had a very nice presence and was efficient. Ive been going to Simon Eye now for 25 years and have always had exceptional service. I would recommend them to everyone.
Was an hour early for my appointment and was not made to wait. Courteous and friendly staff. Large selection of frames. Judy found the perfect frames for my face!
I always enjoy my appointments at Simon Eye. Beginning with the pleasant receptionists to the thorough (what i call texrbook with Dr Fernandez) eye examination to the professional help in selecting new frames or contacts. I have (and always will) highly recommended Dr Fernandez at Simon Eye to my friends and coworkers!
My appointment was on time and everything went well. This is the second time seeing Dr. Patel and I have no complaints. Dr. Patel is very nice and knowledgeable.
I am new to the area and needed a place to get new glasses that accepted my insurance. Dr. Payne was courteous and friendly as I had my eye exam done. Everything was fantastic for me..However, my girlfriend as looking around at frames while I was getting my eye exam done, and she made a comment about the price of some designer frames. An associate made a condescending remark, saying that Not everybody can afford luxury, pointing toward the cheaper ones. While the clientele at this office may be affluent, my girlfriend and I are college students, and customers should never be talked down to in such a manner.Aside from this, the office is amazing, and I intend to be a life-long customer.
It was easy for me to get an appointment close to me and the staff was very friendly. They have several locations and are very accommodating with working around your schedule.
I normally love Simon Eye, and particularly the Limestone location, but this last visit has nothing to do with my glasses quality or price, and everything to do with being mom-shamed by an employee while there. My latest visit I brought my 20 month old daughter with me, because the appointment was short notice. When we got there I had her strapped into a folding stroller and was trying to keep her seated by distracting her with books, and toys. An assistant approached me and said Just let her run around, its not bothering anyone. To anyone with a toddler, they know thats a definite no. Then she offered to show me the kids area in back of the display room. We gladly went, and had lots of fun while I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time to be seen.Once the doctor did call me, the baby did fine waiting in her stroller through my examination. When we were directed back to the waiting room so I could be fitted for contacts and wait for the doctor to check them out on me is where things went south. Baby wiggled out of the stroller, and a nice, young assistant had her help to sort contacts, which was SUPER CUTE and appreciated. When baby started walking around pointing to every single pair of glasses and saying Look! Glasses! I was following behind her very closely. The same assistant that showed me the kids area came back and said Just let her run around, shes just having fun. And I said no, because I was worried she could reach the display glasses on the lowest rack. I barely got the words out before she took it upon herself to swat my daughters hands off the counter and go No! Dont touch! Dont touch the glasses!Personally, if I was a 2 year old, the only words I would recognize would be Touch. Glasses. Which my baby tried to do right after that command. I took her hand in mine and said No thank you. And she sat on the floor to engage her typical 2 year old tantrum which typically lasts 30 seconds.Except...this employee than proceeds to go Fine! Sit there and cry, it doesnt bother me! And then, directs to me I see why you didnt want her out of the stroller now! Shes so spoiled! Its definitely too late for her!My one regret is not putting her in her place then. But it wouldnt have made my baby NOT cause a scene, and would have only added to the chaos. But I think its completely inappropriate for an employee to give unsolicited parenting advice of any sort, but also to then decide to label my child as spoiled, for acting the way a toddler behaves. The doctor plus all the other assistants were amazing, lots of patience and welcoming interaction with my child. Plus understanding! Apparently every other person there who had kids remembered that children are sometimes unreasonable, and sometimes it happens when youre in public!
I was given an inaccurate diagnosis and it was suggested that I may need surgery. I was skeptical and sought 2 other opinions neither of which said anything about the possibility of surgery. Employees were very professional and nice but I have chosen to go elsewhere.
My experience at SE is the best. The staff is very friendly and professional. They seem to care about what I want and to make it happen
Everyone is very patient and willing to explain everything. I appreciate the calm atmosphere and positive accepting attitudes of the Doctors and staff.
Service was incredibly fast and very friendly. Honestly the best eye-care place Ive been so far
I went in for a eye exam was told I may have glaucoma and further testing needs to be done. I got in a few weeks later. Was told we still dont know come back to do testing in 6 months. When I was there on June 2 had to take a visual fied test. At first the women had a hard time getting it right because she had the machine over the eye she was testting. She was like its just to early for this. Mind you its 9:45 am. Then I my eye keep moving during the test she was rude keep yelling at me. I told her I am doing the best I can. She said then you mind as well just leave. Which I did and canceled all future appointments.
I love Dr Fernandez and the staff is friendly! Love the women who help with new glasses!
Dr is friendly enough but wont refer children to opthalmologist. The optical staff is horrible. Downgraded my review because they are so incompetent. Do not waste your time and money.
They were really nice. Found me a good match for my face. Pretty glasses!!
This was my first visit with Simon Eye and it was a very pleasant experience. Everyone was very nice and as hesitant as I was on having to pick out glasses the staff helped me pick a pair that I am very pleased with.
I would give 5 except for the pre-eye exam they give you. Im sure its not a courtesy exam and I am being charged for it. Its also pretty inaccurate. If you are going to have me get an exam with the Doctor, why are you adding expense?
Always satisfied with Simon eye. There is almost no wait and they’re always helpful.
Simon Eye Assoc. has a professional staff. I recommend them highly
I have been with Simon Eye Associates at the Pike Creek location for the last year now. I have gone there four times in the last 3 weeks to this exact location for contact lenses. During my first visit I went in for a routine eye exam and requested to have contacts. I did not get a contact lens consultation during that visit because they were understaffed and had to come in for a second visit. I came in for a second visit for a consultation and to my displeasure felt rushed by the doctor attending me and not answering my questions appropriately. I had several questions because this was my first time trying on contacts and wanted to know the risks, appropriate care, and symptoms associated. To make matters worse they did not have enough daily contact lenses for my trial and only had enough for 2 days. I was told I had to come in the following Wednesday to pick the rest of my trials because a shipment would come in that morning. I come that Wednesday morning (during work hours) only to find out that the shipment would arrive after lunch. The person attending me said that shipments come in on Wednesdays after lunch and I was not told that by the person who performed the contact lens consultation. I was very displeased and frustrated being told one thing and come to expect it wasnt true so I was offered a weekly lens that would suffice until my week trial was over. I come a third time and wasnt attended until a half hour later. I arrived at the office at 3:10pm for a 3:15pm appt and was attended at 3:45pm. The same doctor who performed the contact lens consultation didnt even acknowledge that she was late and didnt bother to apologize for her tardiness. After my approval to order daily contact lenses I gave the portfolio with the detailed prescription to the assistant. She seemed to be confused and took a while to process a simple request I waited approximately 20 minutes for my contact lenses to be ordered. At this point I was so frustrated, and discontent with this firms incompetent staff that I simply just wanted my order processed and leave the site as soon as possible. The woman processing my order didnt even give me my itemized receipt for the 9 month supply of contact lenses and simply told me to just pay at the front desk. She didnt even tell me I was finished I had to ask if there was anything else that needed to be done because I didnt get any forms for proper care, an itemized list for the cost the lens, when to pick up my contact lenses, etc. I go up to the front desk and ask to ship my contact lenses to my home (after paying for my contact lenses) because I live 40 min away from the site and they said they would charge an additional $9.99 and that it was only free had I ordered a years supply (I wasnt told this information at no point prior when the woman was ordering my contact lenses). At that point I had a enough and was forced to pay to have my contact lenses ship to my home. I had to call the next day to ask for an itemized receipt and to the confusion of the receptionist stated that I should have been given one when the order was processed. I asked if they could email the receipt to the email address I had provided and they said they couldnt because their system didnt have the functionality to do it. They could have used the snip tool or screen shot the receipt and emailed it to me. They asked me to verify my address and I informed them that the address was incorrect. I asked to have them check and update the address for the shipping provider and they said they would contact the contact lenses department and they would call me back if the address was indeed incorrect. I didnt get a definite answer and they didnt admit that the address was being shipped to the wrong location. Overall, I am very unsatisfied with this firms staff, and how they operate their business. I will not recommend Simon Eye Associates to anyone else.
Friendly staff, lots of options for glasses and contacts, not always easy to see same optometrist each visit. Excellent pediatric optometrist.
They great at service and also they have less wait time .
Just go to a real eye doctor.. I have extreme sensitivities to light and trouble focusing my eyes and these people wanted to turn me away because I need a tint waiver to be signed, I miss the place I went to as a kid, now that they robed everybody of their money and upgrade the office I guess they just dont care what happens to their customers..
They have a pretty wide selection of frames. I would suggest making an appointment for an exam.
I took my daughter there and the doctor gave her a cream that made her eye twice as big and red and I am NOT going back there. I dont trust the doctors and the receptionist is so rude .
We are very pleased with the entire staff at Simon Eye.
Great, fast, efficient, excellent place, Dr Korsan is wonderful
Very,friendly staff! Excellent service
Friendly, efficient and professional eye care.
Omg this place is so amazing !!!!!
Overpriced eye glasses.
