The mechanic cross-threaded my oil plug and did not accept responsibility. I found out it was cross-threaded when I tried to take my oil change to another mechanic and they wouldnt even touch it and told me to contact the last mechanic who did the oil change. I called discount tire and the mechanic was very rude to me, did not want to accept responsibility and still wanted to charge me. They did not believe me since it had been 8 months since my last oil change. I am a remote worker and do not drive often. I keep records of all my oil changes and repair work. I would stay clear, very shady and poor mechanic work.

Consistent excellent and professional service. Well staffed, but very busy. Busy is a good thing, but can prolong a walk-in visit, so its best to make an appointment, easily done on line.

Im a customer for years, Have a nail in tire. They told me I have to wait over 2 hours just to get it fixed. Im disappointed. For a simple fix. I went to C&M tire and it was fixed with in 10 minutes. The employees and manager were nice, I should not have to wait 2 hours for a nail in the tire. Im probably going to look for a different tire store.

They charge ridiculous price, for single tire installation I purchased online store because they were out of stock they charge $35, what is bad is that they do not have this fee listed anywhere in their website nor in the price board. Bad trickery - bad practice of ripping people. Be aware and give your business to someone who is fair.

Discount Tire Wylie needs help! Business is booming. They have appointments & drop in service. Never ever go there without making an appointment! If you drop in & an appointment shows you the drop in customers get pushed to the back of the line. Then, the next appointment shows up & the drop ins are skipped again! This is a bad system it needs to be fixed. Either appointments or drop ins would be fine but, having both doesn’t work! I was there an hour an 42 minutes to have a tire patched. Alex guaranteed me an hour and a half which is way too long but he was getting ready for lunch break so why should he care. The need is fix this system is urgent. I have learned nay lesson I will make an appointment or go somewhere else. Avoid Discount Tire, Wylie!

I went two weeks ago for new tires for my Ford Explorer. The actual price was about $200 more than they quoted me. Also my wait was an hour long than quoted. I wouldnt have cared but I noticed earlier this week they scratched two of my rims when they installed the tires. This place used to be good with customer service but something is changing.

They have poor customer service and will charge you the highest price for car parts. Definitely won’t be coming here again.

I rarely have taken the time to share a negative experience but I feel it’s only right to let the public know. I was ripped off by $181 at this tire shop. I explained to them I came from autozone with a piece that needed to be installed. They said I didn’t need the O2 sensor but needed the catalytic converter. They knew I was going back to autozone to return the piece and said the catalytic converter was $500 plus $250 for labor. I found out later, they order the part from autozone who sold it for $319. Now I know they don’t HAVE to tell me who they bought the part from or that they upcharged me $181. But when I called to understand why they charged me $500 instead of $319 at the same place they knew I was going back to to, (fyi, they accept outside parts to install) the manager/the boss, cut me off multiple times and said I came to them for help and the charge is what it is and hung up while I was trying to reiterate the situation. My daddy went to them for years before he died and always said that I could trust them and that they were honest and good men. This may seem small or insignificant and maybe I should’ve known better to not go to a mechanic by myself but I just feel cheated and lied to. Especially to know my daddy trusted these men and held them in such high regard. My family and friends will not be coming here in the future.

Went there to get my son a set of new tires and the guys were very nice. They didnt have the size that was on the car already so we went up a size. We were happy with the service and will go back when we need tires. Thanks guys!!

I called an advance gave them the tire size dimensions, the man on the phone confirmed that they had the right size for a new tire that would cost me $50. Upon arrival I take my tire that is blown on the rims still to the door the gentleman working ask me what I needed and looked up the size and said he did not have the size I needed in the recordsI was going to be late for work and this gentleman beat around the bush and made me even laterI notified him that I did call in advance and that is the only reason why I showed up just because I was confirmed and notified that there was the right size for a specific amountand then they tell me that they cant sell me just the tire for just the tire price they would have to include the labor and extra taxes

They lied and cheated my wife out of $181. They have poor customer service and when they said they would call us back to explain the extra charge of $181, they did not. We had to call them again the next day and they were immediately defensive and said we chose them to fix our car so the charge is what it is and hung up on us. My family and friends will not be coming here in the future.

Called them asking for hub centric rings for my new wheels and when i called they kept telling me they would need to see the car and wheels to know what rings. and when i gave them the exact mm ring that i needed they kept saying they needed to see them. after about 5 minutes of that. they said they had them in stock. i showed up and Adam asked me 3 different times what size after he went looking and brought back the wrong size them said they didn’t have them.

Phenomenal service! Arrived at 8:11am to get a tire leak fixed on a Saturday morning and was out by 8:55am despite a crazy morning rush of customers. I did not feel comfortable going inside due to the long line leading to the entrance, so I called the store to get checked in. The person who answered the phone happily obliged and got me checked in. Just 15-20 minutes later, they had me pulling my truck into one of the service bays and only took another 15-20 minutes to pull the screw/nail, repair the tire and have me back on the road.My entire family gets all their tires from Discount Tire and I have personally been to multiple locations all throughout the midwest over the last 20 years or so, hand down, this is the number 2 best Discount Tire location I have ever visited. The store manager and senior have done an incredible job in hiring and training the right crew. While many of the employees are quite young at this location, they are all hustling and bustling like a well oiled machine to get each vehicle serviced as quickly, efficiently and safely as possible. One of their younger employees who I presume is a supervisor of sorts, even stopped by to double check the tires were not being over inflated as I advised the guys working on my truck to do 70psi on the rear and 60psi on the front tires (3/4 ton truck). Im guessing they dont service too many trucks beyond half ton trucks at this location as all 3/4 ton trucks and bigger are required by law to have 10 ply tires or better and 10 ply tires hold more air; mostly due to the truck being heavier, along with the higher towing capacities. Not something to ding the guys on, nor is it something I expect younger tire shop employees to be well experienced on regarding 3/4 ton and larger pickup trucks. All in all, GREAT first time experience at this location. Yall keep being the awesome rockstars you are!

I was headed to QT to put air in my mom tires after hours but the air was out of service :(. I noticed Discount Tire next door so I asked if they could assist me with this. Phenomenal place to get new tires. The place has many locations so easy for the warranty. Bill is the manager. All interactions with him over the years have always went fabulous. Bill is more than qualified along with his team of technicians to work and just about every vehicle. This is a certified shop that looks good all the time. Bathrooms are clean, shop is clean all the time, and the parking lot area it’s always clean. Plenty of parking in front of the store.

I have a nail in one of my tire, I booked an appointment to go in to get it patch. The online tool to booked appointment is easy and convenience. When I am in the store the staff are friendly and professional. They got my tire patched and balance within 20 min. And the great part is they do it for free for me with no charge. Great place to get services for anything with tire and wheels. I will definitely come back when I needs services for my tires and wheels. Very helpful as usual. Few days after a rotate/balance vehicle started to shimmy at Hwy speed. Took it in and a balance weight had come off. They looked at the vehicle and resolved issue no wait. In and out in 15 minutes.

Poor customer service for a long time customer. Christian chatted with a customer for 15 mins before proceeding to tell me to wait while he finished up. Another 5 mins later his colleague showed up to tell me that a walk-in would be a 2-hr wait. 20 mins wait to hear that it would take 2 hrs. An awful waste of time...

I have been going to Discount Tire for 30 years. Maybe not always the cheapest but their road hazard warranty is awesome. I cant tell you how many times I get a free tire just about the time Im ready to buy 4 new ones.

Overall, service was decent. Wasn’t bad, but had room for improvement. Everything seemed slow and like they were overwhelmed (could have just been that day).Acknowledge the customer, even if there will be a wait, and I think the guys in the shop need to be more informed about lifting different vehicles... especially vehicles with a pinch weld.Using a jack without a pinch weld adapter will fold/damage the seam. I spoke with one of the techs about it and he said it must’ve been a new guy that didn’t know.As I said, not a bad experience, but there’s room for improvement.

Every location i have been to has friendly helpful and polite employees. I use the discount tire card which allows you to buy tires and payoff within 6 months with no interest. You can also buy gas. Great way to build your credit.

I purchased my Nitto Grappler G2 truck tires from the Rowlett Discount Tire store and am very satisfied with them. I live closer to the Garland Discount Tire on Eastgate so I went there for a rotation and balance as well as to repair two slow leaks. They rotated the tires but lied to me about fixing the leaks. After one day the check tire light came back on so I tested the air pressure. They did a front to back rotation because I could tell by what two tires were leaking. Because they lied about the repair, I am not sure about the balance because the weights are on the inside due the the mag wheels and you cannot see them. Because it was the same two leaking tires, it could not be a coincidence. I am very discussed because of them waisting my time and I hate dishonesty so I went back to the Rowlett store for the leak repair. I could never recommend the Garland store on Eastgate after this.

The Wylie location was very helpful. Bill was great. I needed a plug in my wife’s tire and asked him how much and he said “no charge and it’s my pleasure.” That is awesome, any other tire place would charge about $10 to put a plug in.Thank you Discount tire team! Excellent service

We have taken our cards here several times and have always been treated well. This week, I had a flat on my Mini Cooper which doesnt have a spare so I needed the repair quickly. They dont carry my tires but they were able to get one in for me within about 4 hours. They did the repair in under 30 minutes. Everything was done perfectly with no issues. The store was really busy but they worked quickly to get cars done and no one was waiting long. I really appreciate how professional they are.

Just returned home from Discount Tire in Wylie. Went in for a simple tire rotation.....first person who looked told me that front tires are showing some wear and would need to keep an eye on them....OK; then another gentleman (who Ive had problems with before named Adam) calls me up to tell me the front tires are showing steel belts (they are not), then proceeds to tell me that they cant change/rotate the tires as the lug nuts are swollen and hell have to hammer them off????? Has anyone ever heard of this????? He was very willing to sell me new lug nuts as well! Obviously I left the store. Ive been driving/working on cars for 45 years and Ive NEVER heard of swollen lug nuts????? I did call the manager and apparently they are tin covers over steel and the tin gets out of shape??? He inspected tires to see if they needed rotated and was very transparent about why he believed they didnt need to be rotated now. They earned a new customer, Ill be going here when I need new ones.

I received unprecedented service today at Discount Tire of Wylie. From my past dreaded experiences while buying tires I was really delaying this until I absolutely had to get new tires. I have a large pickup truck (Toyota Tundra 4x4) and my tire tread was now unsafe.From the time I pulled into the parking lot, the level of professional service and courtesy was unexpected. I used to own an Audi and the service I received was better than what I received at the Audi dealerships. I was in and out with more than fair pricing for 4 tires in 1 hour, I was shocked. I will never go anywhere else for my tire needs.

Beware, my sales person lied to me about whats wrong with my tire and tried to get me to purchase a new rim and tire for a small, patchable hole. Details below...I have use Discount Tire for many years but typically I use the one off of 75 between Plano Parkway and 15th. Those guys are great!Now to the one in Wylie... I came in with a slow leak and asked them to repair it. I understand times are rough for many right now during the pandemic but lying about the issue is not the way to increase profits, while keeping customers. After having my car for 15 - 20 minutes, they came to find me telling me they have bad news... I followed them to the garage as they pointed out a dent in my rim. They told me it looks like you hit a pot hole and now we can see the bead, and we need to get a new one. I ask (after noticing the area had not been wet down with soapy water to look for a sign of a leak) if there was another place a leak could be and that the dent didnt look bad. He said no and said let see if we have the rim in stock, as he turned on his heels and walked to his computer... Wanting to look over the tire myself, I begin rotating the tire looking for signs of a leak. To my surprise I find that they had located a leak due to a small nail in the center of the tire that was facing down when they called me in. It was wet with soapy water showing bubbles of a slow leak and EVEN BOXED WITH WHITE CHALK!I then left in facing up and followed the sales rep onto the lobby to his computer where he had the rim for my car pulled up. I wanted to see how far he wanted to take his performance so I played along. He said luckily the rim is one Discount keeps in stock and that they didnt have one but the one on Forest has one and it will be here tomorrow morning. I ask if he was sure it was the rim and if there is something we could do. He said a new rim would fix it.So now is when I called him on his bullsh*t. I politely asked if he could just fix the tire, he stuck to his guns and said the rim would need replaced and so I ask then why is there a nail in the tire? He said he wasnt aware or a nail and so I offered to show him. After going back out and now with the tire rotated so the nail with the white box around it was facing up he explained he didnt know that was there.I am not one to make a scene in the moment to the point where I waited a week to write this... So I simply asked them to repair the tire, I do not want the rim and let me know when its done and walked away.I dont know how many people they have run this con on but beware! I am lucky and have grown up around cars, working on them and turning a wrench since I was a kid. But I understand not everyone cares to know about cars and trust the people who help service there investment. I DO NOT trust this discount tire and will be going somewhere else. Take the drive to the one in Plano I listed above, great guys and honest service in my opinion.Oh, the person I had the pleasure of dealing with was Darren.

I came in knowing I was likely needing a new tire. I had a side wall puncture and wanted a performance tire at a decent price. knowledgeable and fast team here! My appointment was on time and my car was ready in 45 minutes. Ill be back to order rims soon.

Went in to get four new tires and was out of there in about 30 minutes. It was a very pleasant experience all around.

Except for an occasional long wait, I am generally impressed by their work. I love the free flat repair and get in line tire airing service. Some locations are busier than others and may require an appointment. I have been using them for about 10 years including other locations. I just wish the prices were really a discount. They seem the exact same price as other brand stores, at least thats the case for Michelin tires.

Tims guys will take care of you. This is a place you can trust. The lines out the door are a testament to that fact.
