83 diner is a rare treat for a truck driver or traveler. They have good food great service and ample parking all at a great price. All the desserts are exceptional. The only thing they ever seem to lack is fresh (non frozen) vegetables. They do offer salads but rarely something else. I usually get the crab cake dinner which is certainly a great meal. I will ALWAYS reccomend the desserts here. The pizzeria is currently closed but when it is open they have great pizza with all the great sides to go with your pizza. Breakfasts here run the gamete of typical breakfast fare and are all great value and everything Ive ever gotten has been great.To my fellow drivers whom complain about the lack of free parking, go get some food and the parking is free, the meal is certainly worth eating here
Modern clean feel inside. Wide variety of menu. Not your basic instant mashed potatoes those in typical diner food. A lot of homemade stuff and good prices. We just moved here and are a few minutes away, well be coming a lot. My 1st meal was chicken and waffles Guinea waffles with mashed potatoes and cottage cheese. The mashed potatoes were definitely homemade and so good. The cottage cheese had little fruit wedges on top and a fan. The chicken and waffles were excellent. The portions were huge!! The hostess made me laugh and seemed to really like her job. The waitress was attentive But didnt hover when we were done eating and just wanted to sit and talk.
Had lunch here with my boss. Very good service with friendly staff members. Our waitress was very friendly and professional and answered all of our questions. Wait time for our meal was short. The food was excellent! I had the baked salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans with the chicken gravy. My boss had the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. Totally worth the price and the wait! Awesome! I enjoyed the meal so much I went back the next day alone and ordered the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes that my boss had the previous day. Great food with reasonable prices. They also have a desert case filled with a variety of cakes and pies. Very family oriented restaurant. Lots of business people eat at this restaurant. The food and service is very good!
I ordered two gyros because I was told I had to spend at least $15 to be able to park my rig for 12 hours, that seems fair if everyone else has to abide by the same rules but I quickly found out that once they close anybody who comes there afterwards or even before doesnt have to pay and on top of all that my gyros were made incorrectly and they were filled with onions and worst of it all Im Greek and I heard the owner is Greek so I expected a lot better gyro as well as transparency about the parking I dont think its fair that you force me to eat at your restaurant so I can get some sleep in a parking lot that is more than plentiful in its availability of parking! It would seem to me that people would eat at your restaurant anyway most truck drivers dont have the ability to cook and we favor parking at places that have restaurants!
Good food, reasonable prices, large portion. Large parking lot, charge for parking. Free for a specific amount of time depending on how much you spend in the restaurant. Prices on sign not accurate, check inside.
As a lady truck driver it’s sometimes hard to find good food and truck parking, this place has BOTH! I personally feel that the lunch/dinner menu is better than the breakfast. The pizza on the other side is honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had! Unfortunately the pizza side was closed do to a “lack of staff.” I hope they’re able to get the help they need because the pizza is amazing. But I will add that the diner staff is alway helpful and nice.
The food was Great but the vibe was not there. I dont know was it because of my race or what but it was like no one really wanted to take my order. If I visit back up there I will definitely find time to sit down and eat and see whats it like dining in.
Been in to eat southbound on several long-hauls through the I-83 corridor. Good food, good service, attractive prices, and always found parking, but sometimes the background music is better suited to garage work bays. Consider something other than heavy metal music for relaxation and digestion.
I love this place. Always a great place to park for the night. Go in and eat and get parking ticket for the money you already spent. The people that work here are amazing and the cooks are very fast. I am from Texas and he not ate ribs with sauce on them and their ribs were the first time I tried them and they were pretty dang good, not texas but pretty good. Thank you 83 dinner. Over 100 truck parking spaces and seems to always have a spot for me when I get there regardless of time of day or night.
First time there. Was pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious, Service was great, bathroom was very clean. Nice atmosphere. I dont live anywhere near there, but if I did, that would be a regular spot for me to go eat.
We hadnt been to the diner in quite some time... we were surprised at the renovations. Very nice... and comfortable. All our food was delicious as always... that didnt change. And of course we couldnt resist their desserts. We had excellent service... that didnt change either. We sisters meet at the diner on occasion to catch up... and they are always welcoming to stay as long as we like. Our only complaint is that the music was too loud... we had trouble hearing each other. We look forward to our next visit at the diner.

Remodeled & looks great. Food & service always great!! Servers are always on point here & that is one thing I care most about going out to eat besides my food being yummy. Very friendly place. Good homemade food!
Dont get the chicken fried steak because its really not what its cracked up to be.

We stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning. There was no wait and we had a booth. The usual breakfast items were available. My Son had the blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes and said they were good. Hubby and I had omelettes. Everything was good. Home fries were a little bland. I added pepper to mine. The coffee was very good. Its a newer building, very clean, decent bathrooms. There is a gas station directly across the street. So, this makes a great pit stop while traveling along route 83.
I really like this place. The decor is pleasant and seems new. Excellent service. Kept our coffee topped up and the food came out really fast. Coffee was tasty and hot, and the western omelet was just the right size. My mom loved the french toast. I highly recommend.
Good clean place to eat. Great service and decent prices. Only downside is that the menu is rather limited. But if you want a basic breakfast it’s great!
The chicken tortilla soup was amazing. Overall a nice place to park with a semi truck and great food. Ill be returning here again
Awesome crab cake sandwich. And the chocolate peanut butter cake was out of this world and a HUGE slice. Waitress was attentive, friendly and I am personally grateful for her service today.
Had there steak salad. It was good. The food was made fast. Parking for semi trucks is free if u buy food here so that’s a plus.

The visit was both my wife and Is first visit to the restaurant. We both were very satisfied with the restaurant, the staff, and the food. This is a restaurant that we will definitely be returning to again. I would recommend stopping and giving them a try if you havent already.

Ample parking (truck stop) restaurant clean and wait staff friendly. Limited menu and waitress did not know the special ( meat loaf) for the day that I asked for??? At checkout was asked how was everything, my answer was The Meatloaf Was great!!!! I had a hamburger. Will not return any time soon!!!!! Help needs training.
Prices are pretty reasonable (2 people with extras added was $30), food was great. They took the time to make the bacon crispy before putting it in the omlette which made it one of the better ones Ive had.
I had the Chopped Steak dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy. A side of cottage cheese. It was really good ! I must say better than anywhere else Ive had a Chopped Steak.The restaurant and restrooms were very clean and nice.The waitress was very attentive and nice.I will surely be back to try different menu items.
Im thinking I should take this to the next level. These places absolutely need to be held accountable for their beyond poor service. So to start.. the waitress came back to my table once after my food was served. I asked for jelly for my toast even though I was already done with my meal... she never returned. I sat there for another 20 minutes waiting for some sort of acknowledgment but none came. I decided to walk to the front where I was greeted with a grin from one of the young men who worked there but his smile never stopped and started to grow uncomfortable to me. I stood on one side of the counter to pay for my order and he tried to force me to move to another side of the counter which was 3 feet (within arms length) from the original. He tried to hold my change and wouldnt give it to me. I payed with a one hundred dollar bill. I literally had to take my change out of his hands. Im not jumping through your hoops! Enjoy that penny tip! Id give less if I could. Food was mediocre at best. I wont come back.

People was very friendly and my philly stake sandwich was very good but the coffee was to cheap and watery. So it’s more 4 and a half stars than 5. But thank you anyway. Hope you will have better coffee next time.

Delicious hot meals! Has a large Truck parking, charges by hourly stay/parking. If you spend at the dinner or store, they give you parking credit.

Im in and out of a million different truck stops and diners throughout the United States, but if you ever get up to Pennsylvania you definitely got to stop at the 83 Diner! 😋 I had 19 minutes on my DOT clock and was looking for anything, but I stumbled into the one of the best homemade breakfasts Ive ever had...except for moms of course! ❤️

Good food & great service, as always. They have remodeled & installed many more booths & eliminated a number of tables since our last visit. This made it a little more difficult to comfortably seat our party of 7 together this evening. It used to be easier just to put tables together to accommodate larger parties.
It was pretty nice to be able to get a home cooked meal and have a place to park a truck too

Service was excellent. Spaghetti sauce was bland with the chicken Parm. Chicken and gravy over waffles was delicious. Restaurant made mashed potatoes needed butter, milk and salt.
Went after church for a late lunch/early dinner meal, the young girl that took our order was new so was the manager (we were informed). Service was wonderful though. Large printed (and picture) menu with great options. I chose the crab cakes with two sides. Never having tried a corn pudding before it was my first. It was really good. A bit on the sweeter side. My daughter ordered it as her desert to go. The crab cake tasted fresh however the breading type of crust was over salted even after sprinkling it with lemon, so I opened it up to the crab filling inside which tasted pretty fresh. The mash potatoes are definitely homemade none of that powder stuff and was absolutely delicious! I also had the Baklava cheese (to go) which was amazing! Overall my family and I enjoyed their food. 4 stars due to overpriced, salted crusted crab cake.
The food was disgusting. I ordered chicken and waffles, which is usually a piece of fried chicken on fresh waffles. What I got was canned chicken dumped on to a waffle that tasted like it was reheated, smothered in fluorescent gravy. The showers were also closed. At least the waitress was nice and the place was clean. If you prefer food that is fresh, not canned, avoid this place.
Always good food at a decent price. Had the Belgium Waffle with 2 eggs over easy. Plenty of coffee and good service by Julie. I really like the remodeling work theyve done. Much brighter and up to date!
Fantastic food. This place caters to truck drivers and has plenty of parking. Went in and ordered a bacon and cheese omelette, it was at my table in less than 10 minutes. Also if you go in the service plaza, definitely try the pizza. Top notch

What kind of diner doesnt have eggs Benedict? Got the sausage gravy over biscuits, and I could taste the freezer burn. Service was good though!

The restaurant itself is clean, neat & appointed nicely. Decor very much exceeds the typical diners available in the central PA area. The French onion soup is homemade & absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the meatball sandwich was quite bland & uninspiring. With all the beef ranches in this area I was expecting better flavored balls, but the bread was quite flavorful, so all in all my experience was much better than most visits to a diner, but not exceptional.

Its been awhile since the last time I ate there and it has really changed. I was a little disappointed with the menu. The one menu item that I always thought was really good was the broasted chicken, and its no longer available. The food I did order was mediocre at best for the price, and the service was sub-par. While they upgraded the restaurant, the service seems to have suffered. I would be hard pressed to go back again.
Ive been coming here for 8yrs of my Trucking career. Its a FAVORITE, HAVE TO STOP HERE PLACE for me...Food is always fresh and delicious and the staff is super nice and attentive. Always been a good FULFILLING visit. Good menu selections and large portions, worth the money.Plus it has over 100 parking spots for trucks, showers available, paved lot, well lit, safe, and now a lil travel store next to restaurant...All the soups, are excellent, corn pudding and desserts are delicious...right off the exit too...ext 28 on I-83.Thank you 😊❤️Im so stuffed!!!

I stopped by just to get something to eat, I got the 83 burger… OMG it was super tasty, and the iced tea soooo good. I hope to come by again and eat in, enjoy the food.
Register line right up against diners. Remodel makes no sense. Waitresses have to push thru check out line with full trays . Very poor layout and anyone can come in contact with those trays or food on tables. Not the same. All New staff. Big disappointment.
