We were able to come right in and sit down at 10:30am on a Saturday morning. Our server was very friendly and professional and service was pretty quick. I had the egg casserole which had hashbrowns, chipped beef gravy, eggs and cheese. I really enjoyed this dish and would definitely get it again. My husband had the eggs Benedict and said it was very good also exec though his eggs were a little over cooked for being poached. If visiting York, PA I would disintegrate recommend this place.
I came from out of town and went to eat and we were seated and for 7-10 minutes nobody came to my table or said anything and we just waited and when I realized that I don’t even have a cup of water I asked to speak to a manager and it was at least 5-6 waitresses sitting and talking on the other side of me talking … The manager came out and I simply explained to her that I’ve been sitting for a good minute and no one came and gave me service and the manager looked around and said she was sorry and I explained to her that I wasn’t staying to eat beachside of the service that I didn’t receive… No words just sorry… Sitting in the parking lot writing my review and I see people of different color walk in and being serve right away… Literally We as one have to see everybody equally!
We visited the York location several times during the week we were in the area. We were very happy with the quality and deliciousness of most of what we tried! Particularly, the Chicken & Waffle Benedict, the Fried Chicken dinner and the fried Crab Cake dinner were all just stellar! The wait staff really did a great job too. Highly recommend the Lyndon Diner!

This was an excellent find! The food is consistently great. Large Portions, not overpriced and excellent service. The waffles are Amazing. My picky teen loves the Chunky Monkey. I have had a variety of dishes and always cooked well and tastes amazing. It is a favorite breakfast stop!!
Stopped in for breakfast while my car was being serviced. Saw a parking lot full of cars so I expected the food to be amazing. I was poorly disappointed. I ordered a meat lovers omelette with extra crispy hash browns. The only portion of my omelette that tasted freshly cooked was the eggs and the cheese that was melted inside the omelette. The ham, bacon and sausage were very tough & chewy, and tasted like they had been overly cooked two hours before my omelette was prepared, and then left sitting under a heat lamp most of the morning waiting for me to come in for breakfast. The hash brown potatoes were not any different, and the portion size was very small. Extremely uninspiring food. The only shining star upon my meal was the waiter/server. He was spot on with his service without being over bearing, and was well worth the 75% tip that I left him. If not for this waiter/server this restaurant would only have been given one star. A person really has to go out of their way to screw up breakfast, but this place has figured out how to do that. Not recommended.
What a lucky find, thanks Google. This place is a blast from the past, from the polished stainless steel & single seats at the counter I loved the atmosphere. Wonderful having breakfast at 1 in the afternoon, the food and friendly staff and me back for dinner. Great burger and yummy homemade dessert.
Went on a Sunday and it was super busy, like always. But we didnt have to wait for a table and total we were there about 30 minutes. The food came out fast and was very filling and tasty. Would definitely recommend. Even if the parking lot is full, dont be discouraged.
My wife got the French dip and I got the Philly cheese steak. We absolutely could have shared one. This is the largest sandwich I think Ive ever gotten at a restaurant, and you could not beat the price. They were a little short-staffed because nobody seems to want to work right now, but our waitress was absolutely awesome! Plus, to make things even better, they serve cold beer. Get the sweet potato fries with your sandwich!

Our first time going since our son just started college there. Quick service, great waitress but my sore issue was the place wasn’t clean. Food all over the floor including under our table, we could see handprints left around our table from prior customers and the bathroom was kind of gross. It just makes you wonder what it’s like in the kitchen. Sorry…
Broiled crab cake dinner had me from hello! To me they are scrumptious and not spicy. They will fry as well as broil. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes is a favorite of many, as well Sweet potato fries with a side of maple syrup. Specials and homemade soups change. Baked goods taste as good as they look. A Mimosa goes so well with a weekend Breakfast. Other drinks available.Reasonable pricing and clean and great attentive service with good food. Great diner experience
The food is so delicious, without a doubt the best diner in the area!! I cannot stress enough how perfect the hashbrowns are! Buttery, fluffy, crisp! Ill admit, the inside is kinda gross.. The walls need a really good scrub.. But the food is worth it!

The quality of the food is mediocre, especially compared to other diners in the area. The staff are very friendly, although forgetful. We ended up not getting something we ordered because our waitress forgot to put it in, and we also had to wave her down to get refills for our beverages. The wait time to get seated was extremely short, but the wait time from when we ordered to get our food was fairly long, especially since they were not very busy when we came to dine.
The server had the personality of a wet rag. He really wasnt personable or anything. The fryer grease needed to be changed. The fried chicken both the boys got was dried out and the coating was so hard. My fish was over cooked. Dont think we will go back anytime soon. The one thing that was good was the pumpkin bread they served.
A nice place to eat! Generous portions, and very good service! Our party had breakfast, since it was 8am. My omelette was very tasty! Others in our party had pancakes. They were huge! They aimed to please, and did not skimp on anything! I will come again! They also serve calamari there, which is very good there! This isnt something that alot of other places carry!
We were there Saturday afternoon. We were seated quickly and served promptly. The food was delicious and the portions very generous. Our waitress was very nice also. The only downside was the floors were atrociously dirty. Never saw a floor this dirty in a restaurant. I don’t think they’ve been mopped all week.

My wife and I both had soup and salads. We both had the vegetable beef soup which was very good and I had a Greek salad and my wife had a Caesar salad. The salads were good. The service was good.

My husband and I had the worst experience ever at a Lyndon diner. It took forever to be greeted, get our drinks and finally order. The server argued with me that a side salad wasnt a side, although it was clearly listed under sides. Then, my husband ordered the meatloaf special, which after 10 minutes, our server told us they were out of. We paid for our drinks and left.

Covid has not been kind to this Diner. Two years ago it was a great place to eat, now it is a totally different story. The ONLY thing on their seafood menu is a Crabcake. I asked why you could get grilled Salmon on a salad, but Salmon was not on the Menu. Answer? I dont know. Speaking of the Menu, it was sticky & nasty, so much for Sanitizing. Our waitress had a severe personality problem, she didnt have one. I ordered a Salad, limp iceberg lettuce, two cherry tomatoes, & one ring of onion, I was not impressed. Well never go back.....
Waitress was very nice. It was her 1st day on the floor. The manager I am assuming that was his title. Didnt even ask was everything alright. Threw my moms money on the counter. Didnt say thank you or have a good night.
Food was good. However our waitress was rude. We asked for an appetizer and she said they were out, instantly collected our menus and left. She should have said something alone the lines of “I’m sorry were all out of those today but we do have these appetizers to chose from.” She also had her mask down under her chin, which I heard another guest ask her to pull it up. But once that guest left she pulled the mask back down. The food was good, it was the waitress that made me rate this low
Fantastic food, prices are just right staff are friendly. Interior is nice bright and clean loved everything inside and out. Amazing display of cakes, pies and baked goods. We will absolutely be back!!! Loved everything!!!!

First time coming to this restaurant last night had a party of 15. my family and I were there and when we first got there we had to wait about 15 minutes before they seated us the first waitress that came to our table looked like she was strung out on drugs and was highly disrespectful rolling her eyes and not paying attention to any of our orders then she walked away brought our drinks back another 15 minutes later all of our drinks were incorrect so then we had requested a new waitress 30 minutes after that a new waitress came we started ordering our appetizers and in the middle of us ordering our appetizer she stopped turn around because there was another large party coming behind us walked over to them and started getting their drink orders inthe middle of our appetizer order then she proceeded to get all of their orders in and disregarded our table then another 20 minutes had gone by she came back and asked all of us for our orders we then proceeded to wait three and a half hours for our food to arrive and when it arrived it was not what we had ordered we then told the waitress that everything needed to go back she then rolled her eyes and copped us a very nasty attitude them as we proceeded to wait for our food for the second time to come out we were still waiting for our appetizers to come out only received half of our appetizer orders then the second go around our food came out we all had gotten our food except for three people in my party had to wait an additional hour and a half so by the time we were all done some of my family members hadnt even started on their meals then when we all got done we asked for their dessert menu proceeded to tell us they didnt have one that we could go up to the display case we all picked out what we wanted and then please start order how did it wait another additional 35-40 minutes for desserts to come out only to realize that wasnt even what we ordered so by this time we were all aggravated then when it came time for our bill that was a joke we waited an hour and a half to receive our bill to pay then when we all had received our bills there were five separate bills and we were all overcharged for things went to go ask for a manager was told by our current waitress that there was none on duty we then all proceeded to pay was very aggravated and then on top of that even though all of our stuff was screwed up we left our waitress an $120 tip. I have today went and called in to speak to a manager about what had happened got hung up on three times then when I called back in for a fourth time I finally spoke to a manager who had explained to me that there was nothing that they could do because there was no current receipts from the night prior I had explained to her that I was there last night with a party of 15 and shes like well Im sorry honey I dont have the receipts I will never come here again the food was disgusting we ordered some mixed drinks was watered down overall the worst place I had ever been to Im from out of town was told that this was a very great place to come to heard great reviews about it worst experience ever will not be coming back again if I could give zero Stars I would
I never really had a problem in till recently. First problem the hostess sat my family and myself in a part of the diner that was so crowded. Second problem we sat there for roughly ten minutes waiting for a waiter to take our order no one came then we noticed other people coming in and they were getting waited on before us. All honesty I feel like the treatment my family and myself received by your employees was not professional. Your employees need to be retrain on customer service. Hopefully management can fix this so it doesnt happen to someone else.
I went to Lyndon yesterday for breakfast and ordered crab cakes for lunch at home. When I heated them up later, I found that the broiled crab cakes were burnt. I guess the cook got distracted.

I managed to snag a table for my little family on mothers day morning and we were so pleased with our experience. Our server was quite pleasant and attentive despite having to deal with a demanding crowd. I ordered a waffle I got one of the biggest and fluffiest one Ive ever seen. I paired it with scrambled eggs that I must say was well cooked, along with hame and bacon that I believe complimented it well. In short Lydons the place for a simple satisfying breakfast that wont break the bank. The only problem I had was with the slice of cake I ordered. For some reason, my red velvet cake tasted very strange like it came in contact with some weird substance. I didnt trust it so I decided not to eat it

Apparently it’s ok to serve minors alcohol. The waitress served a group of young kids alcoholic beverages without asking for a single ID. Some of them looked obviously under age but that didn’t stop her.
Food was great... waitress was great but had way too many tables for one person to serve.I guess everyone is understaffed right now.

Use to be the best but now the menu is not the same and they dont make the same food and soup anymore. And the waitress that I have had the past 2 times was rude and a horrible server. I think Im going to find somewhere new till things go back to normal.... If it does(I hope it does)!
Nice decor, limited menu but the food was very good, service was on par but my wife never got a place mat or napkin and silverware. Our booth was set for 2 we were 3. Luckily my son got a sandwich so his mom used his silverware. Think they were just under staffed, waitresses were bussing their own tables which isnt easy when theyre busy, my grandmother, mother, and my wife were waitresses at 1 time and my first real job was being a busboy so I get it. They serve cocktails also I know we will be going back.

Very busy restaurant and all the tables are filled to the max. The food is good and served with more than generous portions. Due to the diner being very busy you have to be patient with getting your food, but the food comes out hot. Prices are regular diner prices.

1st time to visit. Great service and great food.. I got toast, gravy and hashbrowns it came to the table and my jaw hit the floor.. it was the largest portions! And Im from the south and this is the closest tasting gravy Ive tried anywhere. No place except here even comes close to southern gravy. Very pleased. Will be back definitely!!😁😁😁

Had one of the special items. A meatball parm sub (huge) with one side (french fries) and a bowl of chili. Everything delicious and I was stuffed.

TERRIBLE dining experience. My wife and I stopped here for lunch, since she remembered eating here in the past and having a good experience. However, even she was disappointed today:- We werent able to get refills on our drinks because the waitress wasnt around- My breakfast didnt come with toast like it was supposed to, and was dry and chalky.- The mens bathroom is this restaurant is hands-down the WORST one I have ever seen, trash piled up, dimly lit, and the doors on the stalls dont shut or latch.If I could rate it a 0/5 I would. Wont be returning any time soon.

Then I see they have discounts and they have discounted my military service, telling me my service isnt worth as much as someone who is active duty. I will plan my trip to a different ice cream shop. Good service in a nice clean and safe environment.Had the chicken n waffle Benedict on a lark, and was surprised how great it was. A nicer hollendais sauce than most places served. And really tasty with the egg, chhicjken and maple waffle with a touch of hot sauce. Really tasty. Our server was cool and good at her job, handling a busy section very well.
Some managers are trained well with servicing customers and some arent. I purchased the same meal last Sunday and today. Last Sunday it was 5 bucks cheaper than today. I know its only 5 bucks but its the principal. I brought this up and was accused of making it up and she refused to make it correct. I have worked in the restuarant industry for years. This manager needs proper training or a position better suited for her. Cause this isnt it. Thank you to the girl working last Sunday who knows how to take care of customers. Your manager today lost my business permanently.
2 PM on a Sunday and this place was sorta packed, altho seated as we walked in. Sat there for 15 min and no one came over. No welcome can I take a drink order, no explanation as classic well be right with you. NOTHING!!! 5 waitresses standing near the counter and one helping another table but NO one moved. Shameful!! We didnt complain we just up and walked out. I love the one in Lancaster, this location leaves a lot to be desired. We wont be back
