It was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL my grand mother hood veryyyyy sick with diarrhea, extreme nausea, and belly pain. All she got was eggs,home fries, and bacon. My aunt got chicken pot-pie and it looked like slop it was green… the waitress are very rude and not good at all, it’s ran by a bunch of teenagers…. There was food ALL OVER the floor and dirty tables just sitting. Never eating there agin!!!!

Great food! You definitely get your monies worth. Staff is friendly but VERY DISORGANIZED!!!! Breakfast is their busiest time. Went in one morning and stood in line to be seated. Others were coming in behind us. The waitresses had walked by us SEVERAL TIMES and never bothered to tell us they were putting names on a wait list (theyve never done that before) and so everyone coming in AFTER US was being acknowledged and added to the wait list. We were completely ignored and overlooked so for the first time ever I walked out and went elsewhere. It would break my heart to see this place go downhill because it is definitely one of the best breakfasts in town.

I was a little thrown off when I saw they had a low rating on Yelp, but then I remembered people use Yelp to complain. I had a great experience this weekend at DFR. Even though there was a short wait (it was prime time on a Saturday for a table of 4), the food came out super quick and the serving sizes were great. Our waitress was also very friendly and fast, unfortunately I dont remember her name. The sign on the front door says that they are short staffed, but honestly I wouldnt have been able to tell. A great PA diner :)

Three times I visited this restaurant for breakfast meals. Each time I ordered it was Mexican Omelet as a take-out. On my third visit I ordered a Mexican Omelet to go. When I got home and started to eat it to my surprise I had a Western Omelet with ham in the cheese. I was to far away to drive back to the restaurant.The following day I went back to complain that I received the wrong food on my order. The same cashier that taken my order was on duty. She stated that I ordered a Western Omelet. I told her No way I dont eat meat.Making a long story short. She offered me 10 percent off on another order because I didnt return the food and said we dont give away free food.What make her thank that I wanted a hand out.Go figure... The food was excellent, the service was great. However, I will never return to this restaurant.

Go here very often and Breakfast is good, sometimes slower but it’s to be expected these days with being short staffed. Went there last night and was absolutely disgusted. Waitress was so overwhelmed she couldn’t get our order correct or remember to bring our drinks or other things we asked for. My mom Got a ham and cheese omelette and it looked and tasted like vomit. Mashed potatoes were burnt and chunky and tasted horrible. Side orders were forgotten with meals and never brought. Asked for only tomato on a cheeseburger sub and got everything after it was already a remake. The fries were great that was about all! The floor under the table looked so nasty that I hated to even put my feet under the table! Maybe just a bad night idk. Wondering if they are under new management??

First time Ive went was tonight for the car show. Had some of their homemade ice cream which was A+. Also had some of their sweet tea which was the best Ive tasted in a long time. (Not sure of her name but the female that took care of my staff, individuals, and myself hooked us up) Will definitely be returning here!

Ive been here quite a few times and have purposely ordered different things every time. Breakfast seafood omelet is delicious and I highly recommend. As far as dinner goes, I would recommend the stuffed Haddock (when available). I would go on to further recommend the steak. The cook does a great job giving you the rarity you order and it shows. Wait staff feels like a family that you joke around with and wouldnt mind stopping by for breakfast or dinner every weekend with the family. The atmosphere is a bit dated but it give you feeling of a country home in essence. Prices are reasonable, even for the fish and steak. Wait staff is very patient and will help you figure out what is their personal favorite to get you on the right track. Last but certainly not least, Macks Ice cream served there is never freezer burnt and the options on ordering would be likely compared to stopping by Macks out in Hellam. My wife and mother ordered a small Hot fudge sundae to split and couldnt even finish it! Regarding serving sizes, portions are very generous to compliment the already decent pricing.

This place has great breakfast and its super affordable with big portions.The downside:..During the weekday in the morning they have a very loud, aggressive waitress that gives a quiet meal with your friends and family a bitter taste and creates a toxic environment for everyone under the roof. The rest of the staff seems to be afraid of her and seems to avoid and ignore her almost psychotic behaviorThis place needs a strong, solid manager...the staff seems to have no real organization or accountability,kinda reminds me of one of those restaurants reality shows where as someone needs to come in and confront the staff and weed out the people that cause the problem.Ive never eaten in such a toxic environment and couldnt wait to finish my food and get the hell out of there...

We came here for a quick but to eat. It was busy and this place is on the smaller side. The food was only ok.. I have to say I wasnt expecting too much but it is similar to all of the diners in the area. Nothing new or unique and the same choices available.

I went here with a couple of buddies of mine right before everything shut down (03/13/2020). It was a great experience and friendly environment. It has what you’d expect from a family dinner. I would go back any day. The food is tasty and so are the desserts.

Breakfast is ok. Numerous times visited for dinner could be better. Most recently food was served cold. Order was not correct, waited so long for the meal, did not want to bring to attention of the over worked waitress to correct our order. Waitresses per table ratio was far from sufficient. Floor had a lot of food, debris and paper scraps scattered.

Wanted to support a small local business, and fried chicken was on my taste buds.I was not disappointed. Made fresh, not under a heat lamp. Took 25 mins and it was so worth the wait. Hot, crispy and fresh. Every tray of food that went by me looked great tooThe girls working there were so nice, friendly and professional.Was my first time there, but surely not my last time.Keep up the great work.

My meal for the first time was horrible. I told the waitress and all she could say was sorry. Honestly not her fault, but do something to make it right, not say the morning cook makes better omelettes. She tells me to tell the cashier about so he can discount my meal. Well that would have been easier talking to a plant. I explained it but he ignored it. My wife tried explaining it to him. Nope responce was have a nice day.Ill go back one more time and if its the same then Ill never go back. I am very disappointed this time.

Never had issue before. Felt waitress ignored me when I stated they deep fried my scrapple and not grilled as requested. Potatoes not well done and burned as requested. Just not good service. Noted table beside me having same issue. Would have rather emailed but no option for this

The food is good, but don’t order food to be delivered. I’ve ordered twice through Door Dash and an item was missing from my order both times. Getting a refund from Door Dash is an easy process, but it doesn’t help feed the person whose food wasn’t delivered.

Excellent restaurant! The food is great and very good prices. The staff is always excellent and always on top of things! Our waitress was great tonight, not sure of her name but she just had twins and she was wonderful. She and the manager on duty made sure they fixed a small problem and we really appreciated the gesture and hopefully we made our waitresss night too!

A nice Diner with a good selection of food that is reasonably priced. The service has always been friendly and with a smile. There are a lot of return customers (my father being one of them).

Diner style food, but it is always good and very well priced. We are regulars here and the staff know us at this point. Never really had a bad experience here. Portion sizes are really good.

Fantastic service and waitress even asked me something I didnt think about. That was how I like my 🥓 bacon to be done,as well as my potatoes and toast,eggs!!! Who does that? Took my wife and two small kids for Sunday breakfast at approx. 10:30 AM. The place was absolutely packed but they were able to push together 2 tables for us. Food quality and prices were exceptional. Service wasnt the best but we can give them a pass with how busy they were. Will definitely try there again! A little less crowded, I would assume the service would be better and I would think this is a 5 star diner!!

We wandered into this restaurant on a Sunday night. It was a half hour before they closed. We had thought that they were open until 8 Instead 7...we apologized profusely, but we were assured that there was no problem to feed us. Both the Hostess and the the Waitress were very, very nice to us!!! The food that we ordered came in a timely manner. The meals were excellent!! I had Salmon with Dilled butter and the salmon was perfect. My friend had the roasted turkey which he raved about and the turkey slices were real turkey and not pressed turkey. The portion sizes were very generous and the prices were extremely reasonable. It was a very pleasurable experience. We definitely will be back!!

Staff was friendly and helpful, place is very old school in appearance and menu choices. Crowd can be senior age heavy especially around early bird hours for dinners. Place hosts awesome local car club car shows throughout summer time. Really enjoy the food staff and layout inside and out, I also like supporting local establishments instead of chains.

My best friend and I stopped here on our way to the lake to get food to go. She ordered an omelette and a lemonade. I ordered chicken tenders, a chicken quesadilla with lettuce, a chocolate chip cookie dough astro shake and a water. We got our food within twenty minutes, but they forget our drinks and my shake. Once I reminded them about it, it took them another 25 minutes to make the astro shake. They were not very busy either. I asked to speak to their manager since it took them 45 minutes to make an order that should have taken about 15 to 20 minutes and they gave me an attitude in return. I was also told that their manager is in Mexico. Once I got to the lake, I also discovered that they did not give me lettuce for my quesadilla. Due to the slow service, lack of attention to detail, and their poor attitudes I will not be dining here again.Edit: They have contacted me to make things right which I sincerely appreciate.

We went here for the first time last weekend. My father recommend this place to us. The restaurant is an old converted Burger King. Unfortunately,the interior hadnt been converted. The staff is young and energetic and eager to help. Our dinner was cooked perfect. I was surprised. I get my steak, medium and my husband likes his well done. They were cooked perfectly to our liking. The dining area and bathroom could use a good cleaning and an update. Its a shame that the surroundings didnt match our good food experience. The staff and food were good,but the restaurant needs a good cleaning and an interior redo.

We eat there a lot food great,service wonderful by great people. Prices are good and a senior citizen discount on some things. Could stay open a little later in the . evenings . They have to clean up while people are coming in and still eating. Not the best. But well worth stopping in.

I didnt have high expectations. Family restaurants tend to be bland and blah. But I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was superb! Strong iced tea, soup was yummy, timing was perfect. Server was personable and attentive, and great prices. I want to go back for breakfast! The ice cream was tempting, but we were full. Next time...

Sunday, after church lunch with friends, very busy and food was a good value.

Good menu choices, excellent service, reasonable prices. Their spinach salad with hot dressing was excellent. I used to live on Kent Island in Maryland; the cream of crab soup I had in Dallastown rivals any I had on the Bay!

Staff is friendly and food is good for the price. Decor is a little dated (some has not been updated since it was an old burger king). They host a local monthly car show over the summer which is always fun as well.

Nice family restaurant. Good old-fashioned food. Seems like an older crowd comes in. Everybody knows each other. Nice place to come together for a bite to eat. Waitresses are very nice. Always clean . A nice place to go and sit and have an Icee come to a quiet meal. Go check it out see if yourself.

The food is great! Especially for the price. The cons are it is not the best service they take a long time to take your order. Happened everytime I have been there. They are friendly though. Another con is sometimes the floor and tables could be cleaned better. Last time we were there the highchair and floor were sticky. With better service and cleaner facility I would have rated a 5.

This place is great. They have a good waitstaff and the kitchen crew is on-point for Americana Cuisine. I like the grumpy old man type HUGE coffee cups that can be requested.
