I was going to purchase glasses with cash money. I picked out a pair and all I asked was for some help and in return this older lady working there had a condescending demeanor towards me from the start. Kindness is free and that condescending attitude cost this store a sale. I wonder what upper management thinks about that? I went from excited to buy to never coming back. ✌
Everyone here is extremely friendly and attentive. They adjusted and cleaned my glasses like new without any charge. I came here to get my contacts as well and the eye exam was a smooth and easy process. Thanks so much Visionworks!

I dont like my glasses because they squeak i like to get a change from dragon to Nike frames if i can let me know if I can give me a text or email thank you Kevin eberhardt. I got them at South Park meadows store in March I got a different pair in May but they still squeak I had glasses before and never squeak
I received above and beyond customer service from Kevin and the.visionworks team in the Southpark Meadows location. I was seeking a second opinion on my eye glasses. I have also used This visionworks location in the past for my contact lenses and I have always had a great experience.
I purchased 2 pairs of glasses with progressive lenses in December 2019. I told them at the time that I wanted scratch resistant lenses. Now, five months later, I took one of the pairs back in as the lenses were totally scratched. I was told that I missed out on the 100 day happiness guarantee and that the best they could do would be to give me 25% on new lenses, which came out to$300, with the discount! Up until now I have always received great customer service from Vision Works and am very disappointed with my visit today. Obviously, I shouldnt have purchased the scratch resistant coating as its not worth the paper its written on, or you better hope that your glasses get scratched within the 100 day happiness guarantee. 😕

A tanuki angel provided me with double VIP, ultra premium, mega first class care and service. I ended up getting 2 sets of glasses, the best lenses they got. I brought my own frames. I stopped in to have my glasses adjusted, and was greeted by a pleasant gentleman who was eager to help; despite the fact that I had not purchased the frames there.The frames in question had several complex adjustments needed and Promise went out of his way and took the time to adjust them perfectly, despite the challenge.Highly recommend this location based on customer service alone!

Rose was exceptional yesterday in my service! I can in with a red eye told her about my difficulties in my vision for the day. At the end of purchase I told her I would come back for my glasses. She insisted in going back to see if she could work something out ASAP same day service (she didn’t want me to drive home with no contacts or glasses) for me to get my glasses same day!! She did!!!! I left to run an errand within 10mins. I got a phone call they were ready! Amazing!!!!!!I’m in customer service and this is a 10! I brought some shades in to see if they could be fixed after trying a few other places with no luck Visionworks was my last attempt before i was going to have to buy another pair. Tory hooked me up and fixed them in less than 5 minutes and it didnt cost me a dime. Im glad i came here i would definitely recommend Visionworks awsome and friendly staff.

Everyone who works here is very helpful and friendly. The minute you walk in you feel their vibrant energy and already feel so welcome. We had lots of questions and they helped us out the whole way. I definitely recommend everyone to come to this location. When we had a problem they instantly gave great customer service and helped resolve any issues we had.

This is the best Visionworks in town. Torry has perfected the talent not only of caring for my rimless framed glasses but also in his delightful customer service. I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else or letting anybody else handle my frames. Torry and this store are the bomb.

Im not sure what kind of sorcery they know here, but the woman who helped me took my glasses into the back, worked her magic, and I walked out less than 5 minutes later with my glasses feeling great! I went in to Visionworks on Friday to pick out some new glasses, and Jeanne and Torrey were awesome helping me pick out a new frame, and also helping me decide that I could benefit from having an office lens made since I wanted the glasses to wear at home for TV and computer use. Great experience! My mom went by there to purchase some lenses for her existing frames... Instead she was offered a great deal on new frames plus an extra pair for half off. The opticians are very professional and helpful, they greet you as soon as you enter VisonWorks, given that they are not with a customer. Hence the 5 star on first impression.

Susan is, in a word, a freaking rock star. My son’s only pair of super unique rimless frame glasses broke, and Susan somehow, some way figured out a way to repair them. They were tough but she wouldn’t quit until she figured it out. I was quite impressed! I tried to pay her for this service, but she refused. Today, she was my favorite person!While we were there my son looked at other fames, and we think he found his next (not quite so delicate) look that is also completely covered on my vision insurance. Need brought me in to Visionworks, but employees like Susan will bring us back (just as soon as my son gets his next prescription).
I got my first sunglasses a years ago. Sunglasses broke recently and I went to the store and they were able to replace them. Cindy and Johnathan were awesome for attending to my needs.

Just had a very odd experience. Ive had my eye prescription change several times over the last year. Ive bought glasses at several different places including visionworks. I dont remember where I bought each pair and dont remember the prescription on each pair. I wanted to pay visionworks to put the glasses in their machine and tell me what the lens prescription was on each. I figured this would be simple till I met a short, slate gray-haired woman who started interrogating me on why I wanted that and did I buy the glasses there and I should bring them back to who I got them from and do I think the prescription is wrong and do I think they were made incorrectly...I stated simply that I wanted to know what the prescription was on each of them, could she help me? I got a lot of evasive doubletalk from her, not saying she couldnt help but being stubborn and coming up with yet more reasons so she could get rid of me. I hope its just that she got up on the wrong side of the bed that day and that shes not always like this. This is completely different from when I bought glasses from this place about six to eight months ago when everybody was extremely helpful.

Went to this store to take my daughter to get glasses today. We were assisted by a lady named Rose W. This lady was rude and not very helpful with our needs. We’ve been dealing with vision works for the last 8 years and today’s visit was not good customer service. At first she was frustrated with a call she took prior to us getting help. When she got off the phone she rolled her eyes. Then she assisted us and couldn’t find me in the system. Then she tried to verify with VSP, but called and then hung up. I had to ask her if she verified.? She said no, i didn’t want to be on hold. Then she re-keyed in my information again since I am the primary holder, ironically my info pulled up. During our interaction of getting glasses she corrected me on anything said. Also, after leaving the store we realized we were not measured for the pupils to measure with the lenses. I called and spoke with the manager ( Real nice lady) but, she was supposed to call me back after she checked my daughters prescription and she never did. I will not be going back to this location to get my eyewear again.
Cindy did me a solid and tuned up my non-prescription sunglasses. Free of charge, too! Didnt have the replacement parts on hand but gave me the info in detail on how to get them.
I was originally hijacked by some site asking about handicap accessible issues when I was just trying to give my opinion about the service I received at vision works at South Park Meadows.I would like to say that I received excellent service and Rose was a joy. I will be coming back here for all of my eyeglass needs in the future.
Had one of the worst experiences in this store today. Ive been a pretty loyal Visionworks customer the last 3+ years (albiet in the San Marcos location) and have never witnessed the rude attitude an employee gave not only to me and another customer but to a fellow employee. I went in to see if my prescription sunglasses I purchased at a Visionworks could be fixed because I broke an arm of the glasses. Its been over a year but figured I might be able to just pay out of pocket to get it fixed. Well, while waiting in line, I watched and heard as an older female employee rudely responded to the Hispanic woman asking questions about a special offer to get her kids a pair of glasses each. Apparently she couldnt get this offer for some reason but then the other employee (an African American young man) interjected and explained what codes to enter and the procedures to follow that would allow the Hispanic woman to get a different special offer. The older woman employee cut him off and told the african american employee that she would help me and he could help the Hispanic woman. It was clear she didnt want to hear out her fellow employee or deal with the other customer. She asked me what I needed and I showed her my broken glasses and explained that the arm snapped off. She rudely said well we cant fix that (even though it looks like you could replace the arm by unscrewing the broken arm piece out and replace it). She looked at me and said something about gluing it. I explained that these were prescription sunglasses I purchased at a Visionworks. I asked if there was anyway to fix them. She sighed and it was clear she didnt want to help me. She began to ask if I had purchased a protection plan. I said nevermind and just walked out. Funny thing is that when the older female employee was helping the Anglo customer she seemed fine. But the minute she had to help the other (Mexican-American) woman her attitude changed. Im not saying it was a racism thing but it really felt that way to me. To be clear, I cant even remember the last time I wrote a review (even for the best or worst experiences) but here I am nearly 9 hours later still trying to wrap my head around that 4 to 5 minute scene that left me thinking that I would never want to go back to this location ever again.Update: So I responded to the e-mail with a bit more detailed description of the events of that day. I was contacted by a manager from the store and was informed that they would look for a replacement frame for my sunglasses. The manager even said she would contact other stores to find my same frames. That type of service is awesome, well beyond what I was hoping for initially. I mean, all I was kind of expecting to begin with was some sort of effort in helping me with my broken prescription sunglasses. I have updated my rating from 1 star to 4 stars because of this stores Asst. Manager Cindys effort and professionalism. Thank you for taking a bad experience and turning it around for me. I appreciate it.

This store doesn’t even deserve one star. It took over 4 weeks to get my son’s glasses and no one could tell me why or when. Manager was never there to help, never called to figure out why. It was absolutely ridiculous. Never in my life have I ever had the worst customer service.
