Not a great experience here.I was waiting in line to have someone look at my phone for a warranty issue when the person in front of me was trying to turn in equipment to be recycled. The equipment had obviously been sitting around the persons house for a while and was pretty dusty. The representative blurted out in his outside voice these are DISGUSTING!!!. The woman was obviously humiliated. All in front of the 4 - 5 other people standing there. Whether or not the the old computers and phones were disgusting, it was absolutely not necessary to publicly humiliate her. Put on some rubber gloves, put the offensive (dusty) items in a bag, thank the customer and tell them to have a nice day.When it was finally my turn to talk to Mr. Customer Service, I put my phone on the counter and he instantly, without me saying a word, said the repair was not covered and would be $550 or something like that. I asked if I could please explain the situation and my discussion the manufacturer. He blurted again, its not covered, I again asked if he would let me explain the situation. Refreshingly, this time,, he did not blurt. He merely rolled his eyes and muttered.... not...covered...under warranty...(sigh). I paused a moment, took a breath to avoid chewing off a big chunk of my bottom lip and wished him good day.Horrible place. I will not be going back.Avoid at all costs.

I was able to set an appointment for a screen repair. When he looked at it, it turns out it was a cover that was cracked. He let us know how to get our deposit back from our phone insurance provider. Very professional. Will definitely go back if I have any future repair needs.

I had problems for months with the USB-C port on my phone not charging or connecting. It got worse and worse over time, and I tried to clean it myself (which helped a LITTLE, but not enough.)I brought it to uBreakiFix thinking theyd need to replace the port because cleaning had been insufficient. They took it to the back, cleaned it with better tools than I have, and fixed it in minutes. And didnt even charge me a cent.Thanks for the great service!

Ohh man, worst experience ever. Went in to get my cracked phone screen fixed, I was made to wait 1 hour on hottest of days and when I checked after an hour, I was told give me few more minutes I am almost done. Few minutes later comes out and tells me your phone is irreparable. Like seriously? It took you one hour to tell me that you couldn’t even open my phone, how unprofessional and incompetent can you be?? He claimed he was working on it for last hour - Seriously? Never going back!!!

Samsung set up my appointment to get my cellphone screen replaced. When I got there, at opening time, the store was out of stock for my phone. Not their fault as Samsung couldnt see their inventory. He checked his Dedham store, and they had it in stock. I drove there and in 2 hours, my screen was replaced, free of charge.

Helping out a friend that was told by many her chances of getting her data back from a crushed iPhone were hopeless. These folks were not pessimistic, and told me the facts and chances of getting the job done. Well in 3 hrs they had rigged a replacement keyboard and retrieved the data on her phone. Brought my phone in for a broken screen. No issue with the check in. Was quoted three hours. Little after 2-1/2 hours they text me the phone was done. Went to pick it up with no issue. Phone looked factory new. Works flawlessly. Staff was professional and pleasant. I will recommend to others.

Have used them in the past and remember the employee being pretty rude. Took it as a one off thing, but just called to inquire about another service and again, employee was super rude. Dont be at their mercy. There are lots of professional places to go for repairs that charge much less. They just lost $250+ from me. Im sure Im not the only customer who has been deterred by poor customer service here. Guess this business does not like making money.

I tried to get an old iPad mini 3 screen fixed so my kid could have a tablet for learning games. I was told that It would cost 250-260$ to fix. Online I found the cost of buying a refurbished Ipad mini 3 was around 150$. It seems like this company needs to reevaluate its pricing. Needless to say I wont be using this company again.

This place was great. Had an iPad Air with a cracked screen, when I dropped it off the technician told me a couple of things that could happen during repair (it was all perfect though) but it was a fair warning, IMO.And replacing the screen of a perfectly functioning tablet was less than ONE THIRD of the price of a new one!Strongly recommend and will go back myself if I need to!

Super quick and great service. My outer screen needed to be replaced on my Galaxy Z Fold 2 and theyre the only place in New England authorized to work on the phone by Samsung. It took under 2 hours and was very reasonably priced. Ive got my new screen and the warranty is still intact because theyre authorized by Samsung. Not a terrible ending to a narrative that started with me breaking a screen on my phone.

Bought a brand new Pixel 5 and was having issues SIM card issues with the phone not connecting to network. Apparently Google has partnered with these guys so Google asked me to go and get it checked.1. I booked an appointment on their website for 4pm. I arrived at 4:05pm and said I have an appointment for 4pm. The guy at the front desk said Well we close at 5 so we wont be able to do much. Why do you have appointment slots on your website for 4pm then?2. He tried a few things and then told me he cant do much because the phone is not reading the SIM card. I said I know. I already spoke to Google about it and they sent me here. So if you think this is a hardware issue, can you give me warranty options since the device is 2 weeks old?. He said We dont do that here. Call Google support. He then handed me the device as if that was it.3. He then tried a few things and said Phone works with a 4G SIM but not 5G. So just use 4G. I said My phone is 5G and Im paying for 5G so Id like to use 5G. He went completely off topic and said 5G is an experimental technology so just use 4G LOL.I didnt get any help here. Eventually I called Google and made an official complaint of this store and asked them to do a mail in replacement of my device. Absolutely terrible!

I have years of experience working with the public in retail and customer service. This guy was really bad. Go to any other of their locations but not this one.

Took my Pixel here as part of Googles partnership with them for repairs. The whole process was simple. They were able to verify the warranty status and turn the repair around before the end of the day. Repair was thoroughly tested and they closed the loop with Google too. Overall, a great experience, much easier than sending your phone in for repairs via the mail. Staff member was great too.

I have insurance through Verizon and I put in a claim for a broken screen. I paid the deductible when I filed the claim. I called the store to see if I needed an appointment and was told to just show up. Later that day I went to ubreabifix and Im told it will be an hour. Then Im told they wont fix it if it has water damage. I asked if they could check for water damage because I suspected it probably would indicate water exposure and was told to come back in an hour. I arrived an hour later to wait another 20 minutes and was told they couldnt fix it due to water damage. A month later Im writing this review on the same phone with a new screen that I got at a local shop.

Called ahead on Wednesday for a screen protector for my zflip 5g. Was told they didnt have any until Fri or Saturday. Called Saturday and asked again, he said the fold or the flip ? I said the flip. Several reasons for the 2.1. Setup an appointment online, then was told when I got there they dont do appointments.2. They were not able to answer questions about backup.3. They dont have data backup and restore tools (or did not offer me them if they did).4. They were not very friendly. They were not rude or disrespectful, just not friendly.I ended up going home and researched everything I needed to fix the issue and solved it myself. I didnt want to waste my time doing that or chance making things worse, which is why I went to an expert.Suggest they buy the backup and restore tools given the type of business they have. Also, if people are coming to them when they are potentially stressed due to their broken tech, a little customer service and friendly attitude would go a long way.

The screen on my investiment (Note9 512GB), had a stress cracked from leaving it in my back pocket. However only after taking alot of abuse in the recent months.I looked into replacing it and put it off, thinking I might replace it altogether - but its a solid phone with great amount of storage.These guys did in about 3 hours for a competitive price and I was super satisfied with the operation itself, and the results.I definitely reccommend them.

If you like dealing with employees who give you attitude for asking questions, look no further. I asked the employee if they would check the headphone jack as well because it seemed like it wasnt working right and the employee snapped, slammed his hand on the counter, and said We do a full functionality test, yes! Is that the way you wish to be treated after paying for a service? If so, uBreakiFix might just be the place for you! BTW, the headphone jack is still loose...To be fair, I dealt with three employees. Two of them were absolutely wonderful. They were patient, insightful, and had a great demeanor when speaking to them. If it hadnt been for the first employee, I wouldnt be writing a review at all. Instead, because one employee took it upon himself to act like a child, this review now gets one star.Full Story:Horrible customer service experience when I walked in the door. I came in at 4:15 yesterday (Tuesday 10/28), the shop closes at 5. The first thing he told me was that the shop closes at 5, as to make sure that I didnt expect much... great start.I then told him I submitted a claim for my phone, and he started to look at it. He asked some questions and it seemed like everything was back on track. I asked him regarding my cracked screen and to see if everything was operating correctly. He said that its part of their routine check to do a full functionality check. I said ok.I then remembered that my phone charging port hasnt worked properly in some time do to lint, dust, or whatever that needed to be cleaned out. I asked if he could look into that. He then repeated yes that is part of the functionality test. I said great.He started looking at the port, and a few minutes went by when I then remembered that the headphone jack hadnt worked properly in a while. So I asked if he wouldnt mind taking a look at the headphone jack as well. Thats when he slammed his hand on the counter and shouted We do a full functionality test, YES!.Now, from his perspective, it seems that I had just repeated the same question three times. However, as a customer, Im simply pointing out the parts of the phone that arent working to the technician who is fixing my phone. I also dont really know what is included in the full functionality test. Does that mean the phone turns on and off? Does that mean it charges? Launches apps? I dont know... because Im not a technician nor do I work there. Even if they did a full scan of the phone with me there, I still want to state all of the problems that I know about with the phone to make sure that they are properly addressed.As I stated above, the headphone jack is still loose, so the problem wasnt even dealt with. Its the least of my worries, but still very annoying the issue I got yelled at by an employee over didnt even get solved. Maybe the store cant fix it... I wouldnt know, because instead of having a conversation about it, the employee decided to treat me like garbage.One star.

My less than one year old galaxy note needed to be fixed and was still under warranty. They would not touch it because there was a small crack (that did not hinder the function of the phone at all) even though they are an official Samsung dealer. Waited in line was then told they cant touch it and left hanging high and dry. Waste of gas and time. So if you have problems with your Samsung phone it better look like it is in pristine condition before they will help you.

First, when I arrived to have my phone fixed, I was greeted by a guy that looked like he would rather be anywhere else but serving customers. Not friendly and didnt know how to carry out a conversation beyond saying 1 word answers. I asked him how long the phone would take to fix. He said 2 days because they had to order a screen. I was fine with that. Called back 2 days later and said it would take another 4 days because the part was on back order. Called back 4 days later and they told me another day to fix it. This is a total of over a week not having a phone just to fix a screen. If you are going to give a time frame please give an accurate one. Also, an Email explaining the delay wouldve been nice.

If I could give a lower review, I would... Save for Jacob; who has impeccable customer service skills and deserves a promotion (and perhaps ownership of this misdirected business). The company is rude, unresponsive, does not follow through on promises to call, nor on deadlines, and hung up on me when I called a week after having left a device at the location for diagnostics and service (a crashed MacBook Pro).I left the device (laptop and external hard drive) on Saturday May 9. They promised a call on Monday May 11. Nothing.I called on Tuesday May 12. They promised a call back on Thursday May 14. Nothing.I called on Saturday May 16, the man told me he is inundated with all the “kids getting out of school.” What does that mean? Students have been out of school for nearly two months in this state and my company provides homeschool programming. Are you saying that my business — which is educational in nature— is not as important to your business. Parents are struggling to keep up with homeschooling; they need services like ours.Or, are you simply saying you don’t service Apple products?Let’s be honest. If you don’t want business; don’t accept a customer’s devices.I offered to pay more to expedite service. He said he can’t expedite.I said give me some timeline on when to expect service. He said “No.”I said, “Then I’ll take my device somewhere else where they actually care.” He hung up on me.Shameful. Do not frequent this business.

DEDHAM - First they opened doors at about 10:15 (late). I was 3rd in line. Go inside by 10:30 and associate says “hey”. I said “I’m here for my appointment thru Verizon”. He says “oh, well, just so you know we don’t literally take appointments”. The email I have is from them with my appointment number, but whatever. I had called them 2 days prior about my order and they confirmed all was good. Long story short is that I was misinformed on the phone and they couldn’t help me on the spot. I was cordial but made my point that, while not upset with the associate, whomever I’d spoken with gave me misinformation. He refused to even acknowledge that fact and then said I should have checked first. I reminded him that I HAD checked 2 days ago and then he said “oh, well not with us - with Verizon”. I asked why they told me I was all good if I had to speak to Verizon. I realized it wasn’t going anywhere, and left. During this ~5min exchange the associate looked me in the eyes for under 10 total seconds. He seemed sleepy and bored to be alive. I rebooked for another location over an hour away to avoid that character again. No accountability, open late with no acknowledgment - very sad experience.

I went to replace the battery of my galaxy s8+. It cost 75 dollars and about 3 hours. However, my screen is cracked and according to Samsung they have to fix all problems. New screen cost about 200 dollars. So, didnt fix anything because s8 worth 200s.

My Samsung Galaxy S2 stopped work and I thought maybe it could be the battery so I looked up this outfit to see what help they can provide me in fixing my device. I got one of the techs on the phone who asked me to bring the device by for a free diagnosis to figure out the issue. When I came by and dropped off my device the tech quickly saw that the issue was the the battery on the device was drained down to 0 and had to be on the charger for a bit before the screen lit up. For the diagnosis it cost me nothing. So thanks to the helpfully attitude of this tech I will be sure to bring my business back to this store. Good service provided.

I scheduled an appointment, mostly because I have children and no free time. The kid at the counter was semi rude at first- eventually becoming unacceptably rude. He asked me no questions about what I wanted done. He asked if this was an ins claim. I said no and mentioned that it wasn’t covered. He said “right because it’s the back”. This led me to believe he understood that I wanted the back glass replaced. He asked if I was going to wait, I said I was taking the kids across the street to eat, he said “GOOD THANK YOU”. Then gave a look of disgust to my children. When I came back the shorter kid said my phone would be ready in 10 mins. The original employee came out to take a new phone from a customer and told the guy to wait he wanted to get my phone so I would get “THAT” (my 1 year old daughter) out of there. At this point I just want to get out of there, he brings my phone out, the back STILL smashed, he replaced the front that had a minor chip in it. I told him I’m not paying for that I wanted the back repaired. He argued that I didn’t tell him that. He then took 45 mins to put the old screen back on.This guy shouldn’t be working with the public, his communication skills are lacking at best and the way he made mention of my kids was completely inappropriate. I will buy a new phone before I EVER go back to that place.

A bit mysterious when you walk into the space as it is a simple and sterile cash/wrap and they do all of the work in the back. I would have liked to be able to see what the lab space looks like, but alas, i could not see in.They stock Android and Pixel parts so it was a no brainer to get my Google Phone fixed here compared to the many iPhone repair stores that will not fix the phone.The employees customer service was very good. I brought my Pixel in to have the screen replaced. They thoroughly tested the phone in front of me before i left to ensure that they could not be blamed for a feature not working after the repair. My screen was replaced flawlessly, and I am very happy.

Needed my Google pixel battery reaplaced due to age. Nothing else on the device was not working. It was dropped in a pool a year prior and had since had no issues. After dropping off the phone, I got a call there was a little corrosive damage so they wont warranty the whole device just the battery, no problem. An hour later, got another call saying there was too much corrosive damage to continue without performing a free cleaning, but it would take all day. Annoying, but at least it was free. I got another call many hours later saying that the charging port was replaced. Not asking, telling me it was replaced and that it would cost an extra $40 on top of the $80. I was told that it would be too much of a risk without replacing that part. After the $130 repair (that was supposed to be $80) they didnt even leave the screen protector on so I have to buy a new one.Terrible experience. Id rather take the risk and fix it myself.

2019 update: Amazing service for a second broken phone. Cant recommend this shop enough.2018 original review: I accidentally broke my wifes Note 8 front screen, and this was the closest Samsung approved repair place to where I live. They estimated a 3hr fix time, but finished ahead of schedule, and my wifes phone is just like new. Very impressed by the quality of the repair.My wife was also impressed by the crisp cleanliness of the store front office.The only hesitation that my wife had was that they asked for her pin to get into her phone, and informed her that they would install Android updates. Since all repairs are done in the back room by unknown people, that felt very sketchy that she didnt know who was going through private stuff on her phone, or possibly installing unknown software. We were relieved that the repair was completed fast, so we dont think that anyone had any time to look through stuff on the phone, but it still made us both uncomfortable. I think if they had offered to do the final make sure everything is working, lets unlock your phone steps in presence of the phone owner, it would have made us much more comfortable.Price was reasonable for official Samsung parts by an officially approved repair shop. Probably could have had it done cheaper somewhere else, but I wanted to ensure a perfect repair, and happily thats what we got.

We scheduled an appointment yesterday for 12pm noon today. We drove 45 minutes to their location in Dedham, only to be told that their Samsung software was down to repair a cracked phone screen. They told us to come back tomorrow. No thanks!

I came in to repair my Pixel 3 Xls camera. When I arrived they told me they had to order the parts. No big deal, I expected that. He took my name and phone number and told me they will text me when they get the parts in. I called a week and a half later to check if they got the part in. I was told to check some time after Monday. Called again and was told they never got my parts. At least the person I spoke to on the phone was kind and apologetic.Moving on to a different repair place. Not too happy my parts were never ordered.

Took my cracked iPhone 6 in there today. They gave me an estimate and how long it will take (only an hour). So we went to grab lunch and before the hour was even up, my husband received a text stating my phone was done! It was a very easy process and I could not be happier to have my phone without a cracked screen. Thanks guys!!
