My 6yr. old daughter wanted rainbow hair, and there was no way I was going to attempt to color it on my own. One day I stumbled upon a Facebook post where someone was asking for recommendations on stylists who are great with kids & bright hair colorings. We had never met Jess before, but she made my daughter feel comfortable in that new environment right away. She worked with my daughter to understand exactly what she wanted & showed her pictures & shared her ideas with my daughter.The appointment itself was a bit long, but thats totally expected when you have to bleach & then rainbow color a full head of hair! Throughout the entire appointment, Jessica was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was incredibly kind to my daughter and did a fabulous job making my daughters dream of rainbow hair become a reality!! The end result was perfect, and the aftercare tips were beyond helpful!I *highly* recommend Hairstyles by Jess!!

Its such a one-to-one experience with Jess. I first met her when she did my wedding hair, and I keep coming back for more. I feel like my voice is heard when I come and ask for a cut. I a bit of talking and just essential human conversation, and I trust her to cut my hair - even if its for 12-15 inches, I come out looking amazing! Highly recommended.

Her studio has overhead twinkling lights and when she washes your hair it’s like the ultimate jacuzzi scalp massage.

Jess did miracle work on my hair! I completely ruined my dark brown hair by trying to do a DIY experiment of lightening my hair at home using cheap products, which resulted in me having bright yellow roots and burnt orange hair. She was able to color correct my hair to a beautiful blonde color with dimension and trimmed up my hair to give me an awesome, blunt, long bob cut. Her studio is very bright and clean and she is so personable, easy going, and makes you feel comfortable. I was so embarrassed to show a professional the mess that I made with my hair but she immediately eased my nerves. I can’t recommend her enough!

Love the Hairstyle I got. I showed her a picture of a very complicated Braid and she Nailed it. It Turned out so fantastic. She is also makes you feel so comfortable you leave feeling like you just gained a new friend.

I moved to Eden Prairie 5 years ago and every 6 months I was going back to White Bear Lake to get a perm because nobody around seem to have experience with perms. Then I found Jess and I’m so happy to say her perms are the best ones I’ve ever had. If you want a perm you should totally see Jess.Jess is clean and on time, kind, and so not pushy when it comes to products. I trust Jess blindly with my hair...I’ve been going to her for years and have never walked away with a bad cut or bad perm or bad color. She’s just awesome!!

Used 40 vol on my scalp, after I told her I had a sensitive scalp, my platinum turned into silver after she recommended a color depositing shampoo, that also had metallic salts in it. And the part of my hair she bleached turned red.

Jess was so great! She helped me create the look I was going for and was patient with my crazy long/thick hair.

I went for a sprial perm, she told me she had experience giving sprial perms, she wrapped it wrong, my hair was completely straight when she finished, yet she forced me to pay 175.00 threatening that if I did not pay it would be considered stealing, the next day I also notice she had cut was completely uneven. Two days later I went to another salon and paid 284.00 just so they could fix the mess she left my hair in. I sent her photos she even texted me that she agreed what she did to my hair was unacceptable yet she will not refund my money and instead expected me to go back to her to have my hair fixed which I would not do since she in completely incompetent at cutting and perming hair. I have many photos to prove what she did to my hair along with screen shots of her agreeing that what she did was unacceptable.

This is a very clean and well-maintained salon. It is on the second floor of a building so it is hard to know where to go from the parking lot for the first time. The salon shares a hallway with other businesses, so make sure to read the sign placards carefully.

This is the worst place, I asked for a curly perm and my hair was completely straight by the next day, also che cut my hair uneven. I had to go to another salon to get my hair cut even however since Jesss perm but my hair they could not re perm my hair. She is very unethical since she even agreed via text to me that what she did to my hair was unexceptable yet wont refund my money.

Had an amazing experience getting my hair dyed with Jess! It had been my first time coloring in a salon and she exceeded my expectations! Very professional and helpful. I felt very comfortable in her chair. As she talked with me, I could tell she genuinely cared about me and wasn’t just trying to make small talk. She even went over the top and insisted that she add a side braid as a final touch!

I went to Jess to get to my hair colored purple. Ive never done anything like this before so I was nervous. But Jess did a great job and showed me a lot of options and gave suggestions on what would look good on me. I loved the final result.
