They say they are open at 10am I arrived and they were not open there was a lady in the store but she would not come to the door not would she motion to me about what time they would open. I sat in the parking lot for ten minutes and they did not open smh I will never try this place again. This was on Illinois
So far I had a great experience today. Very good exam with a very nice and knowledgeable optometrist. It was very quick and the longest part was spent picking out my frames which I had the help of the eye doctor and the receptionist. If the final product is as good as my experience today, I will be very happy.
Glasses are good but service is honestly horrible, some staff were rude and they kept telling me that i would have them on a certain day and when i called they never had them ready. still don’t have them. if i could i’d give them 0 stars.

For a same day place Ive been waiting 5 days to get my glasses . For one their Illinois location doesnt accept my insurance but their North location does. Doesnt make since to me. Was told it would be a few days . Ive called 3 times and keep getting told they need a few more days. And today Im being told their machine is backed up and they would call me when their done. Maybe next week.When I have stopped by this location two times they havent been opened even though their sign says their open. So called north location and was told the Illinois location is open occasionally. Dont advertise open if your occasionally open poor business. I paid over 500 for two pair of glasses and theyve received my money but I havent received my glasses. I wouldnt reccomend this place to anyone. Very disappointed in the service. Being told current prescription wasnt correct but yet cant get the glasses I need. I wish I had went else where . Messing with people and their eyesight isnt right . Didnt even give me a copy of my prescription. Ive dealt with other same day places and Ive never had to wait this long.
Customer service was amazing! Ive been all over town just looking for frames I like as well as knowledgeable staff and have been very disappointed at many familiar locations such as Cunningham Optical and Costco. Right away the staff was able to find several frames fitting EXACTLY what I was looking for and couldnt find elsewhere. They worked with me very well to save me money and make my options more affordable as well as directing me to payment plan option no other store had suggested. Very knowledgeable, local option with a great staff all around! Thank you so much, Summer!
I am in my 40s now and I am getting my first glasses ever. I have know idea what to look for, or what to expect. Danni at this store has been a great help. She is helping me though the process of bi focal lens or transition lens. Polarized sunglasses, and the whole 9 yards. I would refer any one to this store.
Very affordable, great value. The Doctor was incredible and took the time to give a great exam! The 1 hour went to the next day to make sure they got my kind of difficult prescription done right. Well worth the wait. Got every thing with 2 pair for less than half what I used to pay for exam and 1 pair. The best!
I made an appointment a week in advance for an exam. The staff called me yesterday to confirm I would be there. Today I arrived early and was informed that the Doctor would be 30 minutes late. I canceled my appointment and left. Very unprofessional! If I can make it and the staff can be there at 10 AM, certainly the doctor can too!
My experience was awesome! As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and all the staff was very friendly. I came in as a walk in and the got me in very quickly. Miranda helped me with picking lenses and was very helpful. I will definitely be returning!
I am not sure why there are negative reviews for this place. My only guess is that only people who complain and cant be satisfied are the ones who ever post reviews so I decided to post one to give my really good experience of this place. I went in today and everyone was extremely pleasant. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and everyone was smiling and happy. My eye exam went well, and the staff was very friendly. I picked out my glasses and they were done after I went out to lunch. I picked them up and they were great! I paid under $200 for 2 pairs and I am very satisfied. Just remember, most happy people dont post reviews, just angry ones. Hopefully this helps!
Even though the wait was a little long for the eye doctor and for my contacts order the receptionist, Simone was incredibly nice and polite. She was very down to earth and has a great personality. The doctor was nice as well. The staff seemed very polite and helpful. Overall a nice experience!
The staff here (Store on Illinois Rd) is AMAZING they are all so friendly and welcoming. Their variety of frame options made it difficult to choose, but with the help of Merillyn, one of the employees, things seemed to go by easier. They are great with their patients and and make it known that they care!
This place does not even deserve 1star. Had to put at least 1 to send this review. A female Dr gave my sister a prescription 4x higher than what she should have had. They told her she would have to get used to them. She told them she could not drive home with blurred vision. Had to return 7x before getting her glasses. A different Dr gave her the right prescription. During her return visits, other customers were not happy either!!! Dont recommend this place at all.

I have ordered 6 pair of glasses from this store and each time I order them they tell me 4 to 7 days. The shortest I have waited was 4 and a 1/2 weeks And the longest I have waited has been 6 and a 1/2 weeks. They give me a story about how some of their equipment is broke down every single time. I do not recommend doing business here. Very poor performance
Went in because I stepped on my glasses and knocked one of the lenses out. Was in a hurry because I got there at 6:30 and they closed at 7. I was told by one of the associates that she could not fix it and they would have to close before she could finish the task. I thought that was kind of strange. It didnt really seem she wanted to satisfy her customers and all she was concerned about was getting me out of there so she could go home. Ive bought multiple things from their shop before and thought this was kind of rude. One of the other associates, not sure what her name was,(I feel bad for it), wearing a purple sweater, with dark brown hair was very generous and courteous enough to fix it before 7. You are amazing, and the only reason why I am giving this a 5 star rating. If you buy frames here, have her fix any possible mishaps. Thank you so much (:
Still waiting for our glasses, since March 8th. Will never return our phone calls. Spent $600.00, wont give us refund. Really need the prescription glasses! Was told originally it would just take 10 days. Dont know what to do!!!!

The older I get the more I realize businesses survive on word of mouth. So here is my evaluation of the most recent of my business transactions. Since most of you know, without traditional insurance it is best to find the most affordable eye, dental and health care one can find. So I received some ads for this business and went and got my eyes examined and purchased two pairs of glasses. The total cost $298.00. Now, let me tell you to never, ever go to this business. I just received the second pair after ordering them on October 4, yes a month and a half later. The first pair I got after a month. A month! Not in an hour, a month and a month and a half. They were made wrong not once, but twice. And they are still not right, they are blurry to see through and too strong of a prescription. Plus, they told me I should try to just get comfortable with them. I think NOT! I will have to find another eye place to remake them for me. The store does have a small crinkled sign behind their desk that says, in order to keep prices low, we dont offer refunds. So, I plead with all of you to share that this business stinks and never do business there ever. The end of my tirade.
If you love surprise fees, this is the place for you! I went in expecting around 150 and left paying over 200! He said I needed this more expensive contacts because they were better quality. I also had a coupon for free contacts and they wouldnt honor it. Horrible place, I would NEVER go back.

Best place in town!! The receptionist greeted me right away and she was so sweet!! She got me checked in and for the exam started in less than 5 minutes. The doctor was really noce and helped me find the best contacts for me. They let me have 2 trial pairs to see if i liked the astigmatism ones. Also they have the BEST prices. I joined the contact lens club and paid a total of $95 and that covered my ecam today and an exam next year and the following year. They also have rebates on certain contacts. Best place in town, i wont go anywhere else ever again.

When I went to pick up My glasses the perscription was not right. They refused to fix it. Had to go in to get Coating fixed. Bought insurance to get them fixed. It took a long time. Just went back in for the same thing and the insurance that they talked me into wouldnt cover them. Now I have a pair of glasses that are worthless. THEY ARE AWFUL

If I can give 0 stars I would, but I gotta give them something right? Well my first issue was when I called to set an appointment, I asked if they took my insurance, they said yes. So I went ahead & made the appointment. I get there & they do my eye exam & everything. But not at all did the ask for my insurance. So I mention & the lady said, we dont do insurance here. But Ill go ahead & check if your insurance can cover this. conveniently my insurance doesnt cover it. -_- in the end I get charged $200 for contacts. I paid half of it up front & I told them I would pay they rest once Ive decided on a brand of contacts I was comfortable with. The first trial pair were terrible, they werent even my prescription. The second pair was better, but I started to get an infection in my eye. So I go back asking to see the doctor & the manager is asking me to pay my remaining balance or I cant see the doctor. The contacts caused my eye to be irritated, & theyre worried abt the balance that I owe, instead of my health. Terrible place & Im never going back there

I had an awful experience with this location today. I called yesterday after seeing their $59 special; while on the phone with the receptionist, I explicitly asked two times if there were any other charges that were or could be involved, to which she replied, No. The only additional charge would be if you didnt like the frames in the $59 special, then you could do the buy one frame get one free special. She explicitly stated there was no other fee with the exam, it was in fact free and completely included in the price. I also asked her about dilation, so I would know if I would need to be driven there or not; she said I could choose dilation or not when I was there and I told her I would be having my eyes dilated. When I went in for my appointment today (Saturday), I was handed paperwork which stated that not only was dilation done only Mondays through Thursdays, but that there was a $25 fee for it. I approached the receptionist, and this is where things got bad. I told her (I dont remember her name; she was a young woman, Caucasian, obese, with long eyelashes) that I had specified yesterday when I made my appoint that I wanted dilation AND I was told TWICE there were no other fees involved. She told me that the doctor could squeeze me in before his/her lunch for dilation, but that there was a $25 fee. When I told her I didnt understand why I was told there wasnt any other fees, she became extreme short with me and had an obvious attitude. She never once apologized for the inconvenience, just repeated, Yea, theres a fee. I began to protest and she cut me off, then asked me who I talked to on the phone; when I told her I didnt know she made a face at me and again just repeated, Well, theres a fee. I was obviously disconcerted by this, but again, she refused to apologize or show an inkling of any acknowledgement that she works in customer service, got even more of an attitude with me, sighed audibly I guess to communicate she was annoyed and then proceeded to tell me that if I didnt have the money today, I could just come back when I did. Needless to say, after that line, I left the paperwork and told her Id never go back. I have the money, and Id rather take it elsewhere. If you cant even bring yourself to apologize for the inconvenience of me being wrongly informed, you dont deserve anyones business. Not for nothing, but telling people one price to get them in the door and then springing something on them once they get there screams SCAM all over the place. I understand that sometimes mistakes are made - maybe the girl I talked to was new or overwhelmed or something - but to then not even attempt to rectify the situation with mere kindness is BEYOND unacceptable. Please, Fort Wayne, take your business elsewhere.

This is the worst place ever, my daughter got glasses in November, they werent correct, made her dizzy, lenses were loose and there was gunk on the corners of her glasses so her step mom took her in to get them adjusted, cleaned and lenses fixed. They told her to come back when manager was there. So I called today and Ty, the manager refused because its been 4 months, ARE YOU KIDDING ME! He proceeded to say why didnt you come sooner, you declined the warranty, we DID come sooner, were turned away, the staff is rude and doesnt care about customers and I have 25yrs customer service experience and WOULD NEVER talk to a customer the way he spoke to me. 4 months isnt a long time and GLASSES SHOULDNT FALL APART IN 4 MONTHS EITHER. My daughter wears contacts 95% of the time and only wears her glasses at night so really its not even 4 months of use. Then he gave me a number for Natasha, whos number ONLY goes to voice mail and it tells you her message box us full, good bye. REAL GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.... NOT!!!!!

Even after he called me and had me bring in paperwork to verify price. Staff is very unfriendly. Took my underage nieces to get an exam and eyeglasses and not once did the staff take the minute or two necessary to help guide us through this process. The optometrist specially was very unfriendly. He noticed I was there and did not once say hi or at least try to tell me what the exams suggested. He barely and painstakingly rushed my nieces in the direction of the glasses and left them to decide on their own. The staff did not seem to want to disclose information about the sales and deals their banners greatly advertise outside their office. We had to work hard to get details out of them. They do not seem to want clients there as they do their very best to avoid greeting you, talking to you, worse yet explain things to you. Oh and if you so choose to get an eye exam there make sure to be ready to be mean mugged for asking for your prescription.

In a nutshell:I was told 3x I wouldnt have to come back for a fitting, being an hour away and due with twins this was why I chose this office.After a less than 5 minute appointment with a dr who complained about her coworkers she told me a script strength a half a point better than I have been in 7 years which I voiced to her. This is when I found out returning for a fitting was mandatory. Not happy.Over a month later I return after having premies and a nicu stay, altering the days of 3 working people to get there and have another 3 minute visit with a dr telling him I dont know if my contacts are in the right eyes-2x I say this, telling him my first exam was terribly lacking and he ignores all of what I say and instead just writes another script saying well see if this works- WHAT! I argued but was at a loss for what to do as I had 2 small kids wjth me and 2 newborns waiting an hour away for me to get home.Not surprisingly I have to visit a 3rd time as this script is so wrong that I have a headache and cant focus my eyes. Again I need to alter the days of working people to visit them an hour away. $40 in gas, and a total of 7 hrs of just my time- we will see if they can finally get it right. I will never be back.I did request a refund so I could get an accurate exam at a place closer to me and they refused. The office manager has been obliging but has not offered any sincere agreement that this should absolutely have never happened.
