We went to many different dealerships shopping for a new car, and this was the best experience. No pressure, even with visiting multiple times to be sure about which vehicle was the final choice, and they were completely up front and fair with pricing and the best offer available. This would definitely be the first stop next time were in the market for a Volvo.

Do not take your car to this Gilbert Volvo! Last week the start/stop button on my Volvo S80 got jammed, leaving me unable to start my car. I didn’t want to get it towed for a button so I ordered the part from Gilbert Volvo. When I dismantled the car to reconnect the new button I noticed they sent the wrong part even after saying they based it on my VIN number… Okay, so now I have to get it towed to the dealership over a button… I get there and the service department says it will be $330 to fix this, no problem. Later in the day I get a call back, telling me it will be over $900 dollars instead! How did they get those numbers mixed up? I started looking for other mechanics to take my car to when I’m told regardless of whether or not my car is fixed there, I will still have to pay for their diagnostic fee. So I decided to avoid towing it somewhere else and just have it fixed there. Soon after, I called the service department to talk about the price change and asked if they waived the diagnostic fee. They said they don’t normally waive fees but he would look into it for me and give me a call back. Which they never did… After 2 days of no response I called the general manager to address my concerns. He told me that typically diagnostic fees can be credited back to people who have their car worked on at the dealership. He then said he would talk to the service department and get back with me. Which he ALSO never did…A week goes by and not a response from anyone until finally this morning I get a call from the service manager, telling me they are willing to give me $100 in-store credit for my next appointment! Haha! I’ll never take another one of my Volvo’s to this dealership so their store credit couldn’t mean less to me. If I could rate 0 stars for this experience I would…Also, after a $900 dollar button repair and the dealers complimentary “car detail” they couldn’t even reattach the steering column panel and left dust throughout the interior.
It was a pleasure working with, and buying a car from our sales rep, Joseph Lopez. We stopped by in June, just because we had not looked at a Volvo while searching for a new car. Right off the bat, I told him we were just looking, and that we were not buying a car that day. He still spent a great deal of time with us, showed us several vehicles and even asked if we were Costco members, because of incentives that were being offered. A great experience.A month later we decided that our next car would be the XC90 Recharge and went back to see Joseph. We had an excellent visit and experience with him. He is NOT one of those old school, high pressure, What can I do to get you in a car today, look you in the eye and still lie salesmen. (Of which I cannot stand, nor do I business with). Not often do you hear the terms pleasant experience and Buying a car used in the same sentence. I can do that here. Both he and Marie Bowers in Finance were great to work with.In the past year, I purchased another brand of car from another dealership that I will NEVER set foot in again, for sales or service. The experience was that bad. However, I look forward to seeing, and working with Volvo Cars Gilbert for my service needs in the coming years.
My husband and I bought a used Volvo from this location a few months ago and the whole experience was great! The salesman helping us was Josiah and he answered all of our questions in detail. We signed the papers, and after the deal closed we all noticed that the windshield had a small crack, so the dealership had it replaced for us for no additional charge. We’d definitely go back to this location for service or trade ins
Buying a luxury car brand is not just about the car and its about the end to end experience. I walked in to this showroom after some very poor and interesting experiences in a few other places. I was really pleased and impressed with how Kim and Timothy represented Volvo and their dealership. Their approach felt very consultative than pushing to sell a car. The end to end call purchase process as well as followup post the purchase was awesome. Their service coordinator Mike was also very helpful. Where needed the showroom manager also reached out to us to give us insights and confidence on Volvo brand.
I cant say enough about the service I received here. Michael Ayache listened to all of needs and what was a priority to me in buying a new car. He gave me his honest opinion which is what I wanted in a big purchase like this. He also was like a big brother to my 5 yo son. Thank you so much for putting me in such a beautiful car! I did my Daughter a favor and brought her Volvo in for an oil change. Spoke with Rick Nowka in service. He told me my Daughter had scheduled the oil change for the following day.After driving 20 minutes, my head dropped in disappointment. Rick felt my pain and offered to squeeze me in today.Suddenly my day began to head in the right direction. I must say the service staff are very professional here in Gilbert. I also spoke with his Manager as well. They have my business. Looks like the owner breeds a culture where the customer is number one.
This was my first time looking at Volvos. I was greeted by Joseph Lopez, and the sales process was great. I am still working with Joseph to find the Volvo that I want. I highly recommend Joseph. Great job, Joseph!
Regarding the service department: I had to take a few days to compose myself after this experience. About a month ago out AC went out in our 2017 Volvo with only 59000 miles... we brought it in a were told our evaporator was the issue. We had it fixed... on my way home the AC wasnt all that cool, but I thought it was just my mind playing tricks on me. After a few weeks of cooler weather we didnt really notice. After the days turned to 100+ degrees it was clear that the AC was not working. We brought the car back in to have them tell us that somehow a freak accident occurred and a rock now broke my compressor... very convenient. It is clear that they made the wrong diagnosis in the first place and now are trying to have us take on another $2000 bill. Well, Volvo has lost us and our entire family as customers.
Volvo used to be a reasonable place and a dealership I could trust to give me a good price and work with me. However, my most recent encounter was just one of the horror stories people mention when they referenced dealerships. I took my car into service and called several times for Rick in service to call me back. I never received a call back following our initial call when he said they wouldnt be able to get to it for a couple days. He then called the next business day to tell me that it would cost over $7000 in repairs. I declined to get it worked on because it exceeded the cars value. I chose to lease a 2021 Volvo through the dealership and when I went to talk to service to get some belongings out of the car and tell them I was going to have it towed (they refused to trade in), Rick charged me $180. He never told me about this charge and never called me back prior to them looking at it. Even if he did, the fact that Volvo chose to spit in my face when I stuck with them just goes to show how much they clearly dont value relationships. Volvo recommendations will cease from my conversations. Absolutely pathetic and disappointing. I wouldve never signed a lease with them had I known who I was working with.
I’m highly disappointed. After leaving a five star review on the purchase of my car and the process thereof, the sales process of selling my car back to Volvo of Gilbert has been horrendous. Not only was I given under market value for the car, a portion of the money owed to me has not been received. Meanwhile, Volvo financial has closed my account so It is well documented that my car was paid off by the dealer. I’ve called numerous times and left numerous voicemails and can’t even get a call back. Absurd and immoral. I’ll be looking at getting help to recoup my funds.

We live in Utah but found Her car in AZ.From the moment she called to verify it was still for sale...until we drove it off the lot...She was treated with respect, honesty, fairness and everyone she dealt with was open and forthright about the car and the process!From Jack (the sales manager) to Michael (the salesperson) and Karen (the finance person), all the employees were welcoming, friendly and patient with us as we bombarded them with all sorts of questions and concerns about the car and going through the sales process.After leaving the dealership with the car, they have followed up by phone to make sure She was secure with her decision and happy with the car.I could not have scripted a better car buying experience for my wifes 1st On her own purchase.

After having a horrible experience at the Volvo dealership in Scottsdale, I decided to give Volvo Cars Gilbert a try. It was a night and day difference! I worked with Michael Ayache and had an amazing experience! He was so knowledgable and honest throughout the entire car purchase. If you are in the market for a Volvo, I would definitely recommend working with Michael, you wont regret it!

Called twice to get my new Volvo serviced, called twice no answer. Finally a rude gentlemen answered and said that someone would call me back to setup an appointment, a week later still no call. Now I have to drive over from Chandler to Scottsdale just to get my car serviced. Looks like I wont get the same service as Ford gave me all those years. Disappointed.

We test drove a couple vehicles and the salesperson was very courteous to us, me and my kids. We really liked working with them.
Wanted to purchase a car they have advertised, called daily for TWO weeks. Only one of 4 salesman actually returned the calls they promised, and everyone gave me a different story why there was a wait (paint scratches, cable missing, parts ordered, backup at the shop). But they all expounded on the extensive reconditioning they do. Never informed other buyers were interested in the car and not allowed to come check out the car. Finally told the car was available/was texted pictures and the soonest I could come see it was the next day at 12PM ( I would have driven out that evening), so I made the first appointment available to test drive it.Was told it was sold by another salesman that following morning as I was driving to my appointment. Was told there was a list of prospective buyers, but wouldnt share that list or told were I was on that list. Not very good customer service. Buyer beware, as this dealership says they are customer focused, but only really cares about money

Very slow. Went with mom who was buying an already picked out Volvo. Just needed to sign papers and pay the cash, since she was paying it all at once. Still took them 4 hours, and the spare key they gave her doesnt work.
The old bait and switch on prices (service department). I booked online and on the day of the appointment I was called and told that my appointment is too late. Mind you I booked it online using their tool. Fine I was able to come in 30 minutes earlier, and showed us sooner so I could work in the lobby. When I booked online I chose oil change for $59.99. They then changed the price on me to $69.99. I said it was $59.99 online when I booked. I was told that is a sale price. He then explained that it is not correct and that other things like the hours for booking are not correct. What was annoying was the attitude like it was my problem and that I should call. Literally on their website it says To make the lives of Volvo drivers from Gilbert to Mesa easier you can now schedule your next service appointment online right when you think of it! . I even said you guys are Volvo to imply that they are supposed to be sophisticated and all. But acted like a used car salesman with the old bait and switch in the ghetto. Maybe, I just dont fit in here. The appropriate response would be that Volvo fix their booking system and keep it up to date. And that they honor the price on the website and that I would have never heard about it. Nowadays you can book so much online and accurately, but Volvo cant? The Scottsdale Volvo never treated me this way.
Purchased a car from them 5 years ago when they were in tempe. I had a problem with the title when I was ready to get another car purely the banks fault. I was getting nowhere with the bank was it was awful. Volvo ended up helping me out.

I just brought my Volvo in for some scheduled maintenance and a few other things. Jud is fantastic and great to work with. Not only was all work done well, but also on time. He and his team took great care of me and my car. Too bad all of my past dealings with car dealerships werent this awesome. I will return!
Kevin in sales was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. But, Mike DeBartolo in Service was terrible. Rude, unfriendly, and not helpful.I dropped my car off for a minor fix and a detail. 2.5 hours later, my car was still not detailed, sat in the detail area, and the detailer was not present. I asked for an estimated time to completion, Mike responded, I dont know. I had to ask him to find out for me.I ended up leaving before the detail started because I had another appointment. I was not offered a loaner vehicle, either. When the vehicle was dropped off, the inside was a mess.Kevin picked up my car, took it back for detailing, but unfortunately the car came back with cleaning-solution puddled in the back seat. The beige leather was stained blue as a result.The dealership picked up my car again, finished detailing it, removed the blue stain, and delivered my car back.The detail looks OK and the all-weather mats came in as ordered. These were the right size this time, but when I went to the dealership to pick them up, I noticed that one of my rear carpet mats was missing.I think it was accidentally removed and not replaced, but nobody would take responsibility so now I have 3 of my 4 stock carpet mats.Sales in this place was fine. Kevin and Josh were both helpful and low-pressure, but the other Service was terrible. Im really disappointed because I hoped my experience in a luxury dealership would be better.
We were out looking for a new car and decided to check out Volvo of Gilbert and we are glad we did! We were greeted by Josh who ended up finding the us the perfect vehicle. There was no pressure to buy at all, (unlike other dealers) and the sales manager, Ryan Bradley, was able to get us to a great price. This is my first Volvo experience, and I stopped by late on a Friday after weeks of unsuccessful car shopping. The team listened to me and patiently walked me through their full line of vehicles.We quickly narrowed down the options and I test drove the new XC90 SUV. The test drive experience was much better than many dealerships I have been to in the last few years. They have a big circuit they test drive in, allowing a good representation of different street and traffic conditions.After the test drive I was sold on liking the vehicle, and wanted to look at purchasing options. They quickly ran several different scenarios to give me a full range of options for the purchase. Their pricing was very fair, they didn’t pressure me in any way or try to up sell me anything I didn’t want. We agreed on a purchase price without a bunch of back and forth, and the paperwork was quickly drawn up.I went from shopping to driving a new car in just a couple hours.

We visited the Volvo dealer of Gilbert today!First of all, Brandon came to our house for a test drive, which we thought was very accommodating.The next day we visited the dealership and Brandon was very professional. We also met Robert Banes, the finance person in charge. He was professional and very polite. He made the transaction simple and easy.We wanted to negotiate the price a little and what I mean by little is about $700, but Rachel was not willing to negotiate the price instead she gave us 72 mos. plan to a 84 mos. plan with an extended warranty that we pay for. I also brought this up to finance and he brushed it off as well.She also did not disclose the $100 deductible for the warranty so if you buy a car here, just make sure you ask about all the fees that come with the warranty. She was very nice though and professional.The dealership was good and Brandon provided such great customer service! He did not makes us feel pushy like other dealerships. The few comments that I’ve made have nothing to do with Brandon.If you visit this location, ask for Brandon!Thank you so much Brandon for everything! Great customer skills and professional.
While my first review was not favorable due to poor customer service I really appreciate the Service Director following up so promptly trying to address the problem. Still wish customer service was more consistent as this is not the first time this has happened here. They used to have consistent excellent service.

I dont live in the state of Arizona so the car had to be shipped to me. I felt very confident that it would get to me safely because these guys were watching out for it and it did. I couldnt be happier with my new car!
Some salesman named Joshua supposed to help us to buy a XC40 but he didnt care much about selling, he ignore us for 30 minutes.This is the closest Volvo dealer to my house, but is not the only one on the Phoenix area, so well take our business somewhere else.If I could I would give zero stars but that wasnt an option
From my phone call requesting a service appointment until the work has been completed, the employees of Volvo of Tempe exhibit professionalism, knowledge, and genuine concern for their customers. Jud White, my service advisor, listens to my concerns and takes time to answer all questions. I have been pleased with the work done on my car and feel that it is in excellent condition when I leave the shop. In addition to the excellent service on my car, the physical facility of the entire dealership is first rate! Kudos to an excellent team.
I took my Volvo s40 in to their service department to have a laundry list of repairs conducted, with hopes of them being covered under my extended warranty. To my surprise, all five repairs I sought to have taken care of were covered. A big thank you to Jeff (whom Ive noticed already has quite a few outstanding reviews about), in service, who corresponded with both myself as well as the warranty company I purchased from; keeping me up to date within minutes of any updated information on my claim. Jeff was able to diagnose and repair all of my concerns, in addition to some cosmetic work I was hoping to have done (headlight restoration, cabin components). I am expecting my car back on Tuesday, which is theoretically two business days after my initial drop off, and to go a step further has accomodated my time schedule for pick up. Fast service, extremely professional technicians/sales associates, and big smiles on every employee in sight. Proud Volvo owner; my only regret is that I didnt purchase my s40 from Volvo of Tempe! I will definitely look towards buying my next one from them! Keep up the great work. Its no wonder this Volvo dealership was awarded the Presidents Award. --edit-- After reading one other review, I thought I would give one of the same negative aspects--the hard water spots after the car wash (though it was complimentary, they should try to dry the car a little better). To follow up, I got my car back, a little later than expected, but everything was repaired with 100% satisfaction.
Not very friendly and they dont listen after you mention you didnt buy your car from them.. they fixed a trunk latch that came out of position and they fixed it for free but not until they let me know they did me a favor which I could of paid for gladly. They kept my car overnight without letting me know and I had to call them to find out it was ready the next day. The agent who helped me was rude over the phone and I will never go back!
Mike Uchida is awesome! He was quick for me and straight to the point. Customer service is phenomenal. They got me a Lyft to get me where I needed to go and gave me expectations for time on my cars diagnosis. Im really happy I went here for service. The lobby is beautiful and clean. Everyone greeted me and asked if I had been helped. Exactly the type of experience youd want and expect from a luxury dealer without all the hassle.

I can not say enough about the service there at Volvo Cars Gilbert customer service is a plus.. I was without my car for 1day picked it up today the quote he gave me was fair and did not try to over sell me on anything just what the problem was with the car and he took care of it.. The adviser worked with me on finding a solution to my problem which is: I have an S80 valued at $3000 in which I do not want to invest tons of money in repairs. So I chose parts which are not genuine Volvo for this repair at half cost. Thanks to this Tempe located Volvo shop I can drive my vehicle for some more years comfortably without big holes in my pockets.

My wife and I recently moved to Phoenix and purchased a vehicle from Scott Hay at Volvo of Tempe. Scott was great to work with. He is very responsive and made the process hassle and pain-free, which is sometimes tough to get when buying a car. He went above and beyond in ensuring that the entire process was stress-free, including helping get the rental car returned, getting training on all of the technology in my vehicle, and making sure that everything was taken care of. This was the most stress free car buying experience I’ve ever had.Charles and Jason were great to work with! The financing was really smooth. They helped to hunt down the best rate and provided sound advice on the best way to structure the financing for ME.My experience with Volvo of Tempe was fantastic, they made the car buying experience headache and hassle free. I’m excited to be working with a dealership who will continue to take care of me long after the sale is done. I’ll be continuing to support this dealership for many years to come.

I have had my Volvos serviced at Volvo of Tempe for many years and have always had great service. Josh Parkhouse is my service adviser and he is excellent to work with. He keeps me informed and explains any needed repairs for problems found during inspection. Josh is very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Josh.UPDATE: After a number of poor services for my cars, I can no longer recommend this dealership. It has changed since I started having my cars serviced there.
Im in Central Phoenix and will make the drive to this dealer because of the clean place and professional staff in addition to the better pricing for the exact same Volvo parts everyone else sells. These guys actually check the online comps for pricing and sell parts accordingly.

Got a new Service Advisor on staff, Josh. Very good service. I made an appointment a week ahead and they set me up with a courtesy S80 for the day at no extra charge! Came in for an oil change and check up. Not only did they hook me up with a complimentary car wash, but they actually scrubbed the grime off my rims. A great experience for me!
Jeff in the service department was outstanding. He and his staff went above and beyond for what was a covered warranty service for an air bag system issue.They have definitely earned my repeat business.
I have owned Volvos all my life.Its bad marketing to say that the Transmission fluid never needs changing. Sad that Chinese Volvo still markets there cars this way.

Jim made my experience the best I have ever had while buying a car. I dread buying cars, however, as a business owner, I must do that every other year or so. Jim was friendly and a straight talker and there was absolutely no pressure - it was a true pleasure to buy a car from him and I will return to this dealership next time around and hope to have a similar experience.
As always the experience that I had this week at Volvo of Tempe is beyond great. You get treated like family there, not local family but visiting favorite uncle kind of family. I am always grateful to Jud White for the care and the commitment that I receive from him and the rest of the service staff at Volvo of Tempe; they care for my car as if their own children are in it every day, not just mine. First time, every time, I could not ask for anything more or anything better.
Well where do I start. I also wished I could give a zero star. Had a very similar experience as Kathy Maxwell. Met two different salesman on different occasions. Kenneth and Kevin.Unfortunately, the car buying experience at this dealership turned out to be THE WORST among many car purchase transactions we have done over the last 20+ years. One of them treated us in very condescending manner, was temperamental, and was almost confrontational when it came time to negotiate for their best offer. The other salesman simply could care less and nonchalant. Checked the website few days later, the car is still sitting there and they dropped the price to a point where it was quite a bit lower than their last absolute ‘best’ price just a few days ago. It is kind of sad that they operate this way. No wonder this dealership is always quiet every time we drive by. I am grateful that we actually do have choices here in AZ and beyond. There are two more Volvo dealerships in PHX metro and both were night and day compared to Gilbert dealership. It was a blessing in disguise that we did not purchase the car from Gilbert because we ended up getting a MUCH better deal at a lower price for a higher trim level with more upgrades, at a different dealer. Will never return to this dealership, even for a routine maintenance/service for my new Volvo. Will happily drive the extra miles to see the salesman and the manager that sold us the car because they were genuinely kind and made us feel welcomed. People may not always remember what you say but they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel.P.S. It is interesting to note that they only post five star ‘testimonials’ on their website.

Had my S80 in for scheduled service (full synthetic oil change) this afternoon. I should mention that I called for an appointment this morning. The car was bug splattered and nasty when I drove it in; returned looking new (read: perfect) when I drove it out after service. Love the new location. Complimentary wifi, more than comfortable waiting area, and the car was returned within the time promised. The vehicle condition report was very accurate (no unnecessary service recommended). Familiar faces in the service department. In and out, no hassle, five stars.
Rick Kazanjian is an exceptional Service Advisor who is extremely attentive to my needs concerning my vehicle. He exudes great customer service orientation, and it is always a pleasure to work with him.
Miserable experience here in the sales center. The girl helping us was unable to articulate a complete answer to most of my questions, insisted on several things contradictory to Volvos website, and seemed to not understand he product overall. She shouldnt have been on the sales floor with that level of training, ineptitude, or both. We went to Scottsdale Volvo and spent an hour with a salesman who either knew or found the answer to every question we had.Ive bought a lot of cars at a lot of dealers and have never experienced such a level of incompetence as I did at Volvo Gilbert.
I bought my second Volvo from them and I was very happy. The Service team does what they say they are going to do and can get me a loaner if I really need it. Very clean waiting error with internet access. On par or better than our BMW experience.
This place might be great for rich 60k car buyers, but if you are a mortal looking at a used car there, be aware that they will have every single bank run your credit, (15 inquiries in my case), then they say they got you a great interest and send you home, only to call you two weeks later to sign a new contract at 16% or to return the vehicle, in my case they made me take it back on a Saturday afternoon. They are a modern expensive car dealer, but when it comes to used cars they use all the slimeball tricks in the book.
EXCELLENT ! That is the service that I receive at this Volvo Dealership!Robert the service representative that assisted me. He listened as to what I wanted done. He did a full inspection to see if there were any other issues that needed to be addressed. I also had a coupon for service that was sent to me in a email. They honored that and I paid my bill then walked our to see my car clean and waiting for me!As a single Lady over 60 it is good to know that I have a Dealership that is going totreat me as the Valued Customer that I am!
We went in to purchase or lease a vehicle and they just argued with us over terms for an hour. I put together the numbers in a spreadsheet and tried to replicate their numbers and we were never even close. All the finance person could say was I dont know what your program is doing but my program is coming up with different numbers. During this hour long argument they never offered another car, tried to alter any terms or do anything to make the sale work. The original sales person was fine, but you dont really work with him at all once you start talking numbers. It was by far the worst car buying experience I have ever had. We ended up purchasing basically the same car from Courtesy Volvo in Scottsdale at a very fair price.
