Initially I had taken my car to a mechanic down the road from my house for a head gasket replacement. The owner of that shop acted like I was inconveniencing him asking for a quote, I left that shop with very little info and unhappy. After leaving I started to google and found specialized truck and auto and saw how many great reviews the shop had, I gave it a shot and I’m glad I did. Kevin took the time to give me a quote on a day he was actually closed but just catching up on some other work. After receiving the quote it wasn’t too cheap to be skeptical of the work nor was it too high to make me look elsewhere. Kevin took the time to break down everything in the quote making it all understandable. Throughout the entire process Kevin regularly kept me updated on the progress of my car. There’s not many mechanics as good and honest as this guy out there anymore and I’m really glad I happened to find him. I highly suggest using this shop the next time you have a problem or need simple preventative maintenance.

These trustworthy folks have worked on my fleet of vehicles for years. From small items to complete engine change-out, they can handle it all. Once we decided on a good used engine. After it was installed these folks didnt like it and made the seller take it back! Then they found a much better one and that vehicle is still on the road today as if nothing every happened.Most of us are not mechanics, so we need someone trustworthy. Well. youve met them here.Weve likely been going here for 10+ years. If its not right, they will get it right. Specialized Truck & Auto is not in my neighborhood, but when I called to ask about installing a catalytic converter security shield, Kevin, the owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was installed perfectly and his price was very fair. The receptionist Keeley and I became quick friends! She was very professional and made me feel very welcome in their family owned business. We would not hesitate to drive the extra miles for our car maintenance the next time we need their services! Highly recommend!

A very professional and satisfying experience. My Ford F-250 developed an oil leak which they correctly diagnosed from the turbo. Only genuine Ford parts used, and quoted work rate and time was exactly what I was billed. A very transparent experience.To top it all off, I needed the vehicle Saturday morning for a trip and they worked late Friday night to ensure my needs were satisfied. I found this shop as I sat on the side of the road waiting on a tow truck. I called and the owner, Kevin was concerned that I was on the highway and was going to come help me get off. I told him I made it to a parking lot and would be there later. Got to his shop and only took about 30 minutes for him to find my problem. I asked since it was there to look at some other problems I was having. He ended up fixing a fuel system problem, cooling system problem, A/C problem and a wiring problem with lightning harness. He did all these things and even put a flasher module in after I was picking it up that he didn’t know was bad. He didn’t charge me because he told me he should have caught that before I got there. Kevin is very honest and knows what he is doing and that is hard to find in a mechanic shop. He does quality work but he is not a “cheap” mechanic. Kevin is a quality technician that is worth his price! For everything he did on my truck he was over a 1k less than other shops I have dealt with and he was honest about everything. I have a F250 with a 6.0 turbo diesel and that’s like telling shops you have a Corvette. Price seems to always go up but it didn’t here. Thanks Kevin for everything. I found my guy for my old truck from now on.

My dodge ram 1500 needed engine work that was going to cost $8900 at the dealer and Kevin and his team where outstanding with diagnostic of the problem. Full walked me step by step and gave me great price. Just cant say it enough he knows his trucks and engine. I was needing an oil change and since I recently moved I was looking for something in my area. Came across this place on Google that stood out to me for their good reviews. So I walked in and the they were more than happy to attend to me right away. They noticed my sticker was expired (my truck was broke down for 4 months) and asked if I would like to get that taken care of as well. Which I went ahead and took advantage of. They also checked my tire pressure and let me know that one tire was at the max level, also advised me as to why it shouldnt be at that level. That alone made me feel as if they are knowledgeable in what they are doing and are more than happy to spread that knowledge to the customer so that they know for future references. Mind you about 2 weeks ago i went to a tire shop to get a patch and had them check my tire pressure. Reason why it was at its max. They also noticed my spare tire was flat, which i had no idea of, and aired that up for me as well. It truly is the little things because one never knows when i wouldve needed that spare tire. I highly recommend this place!

I lucked into finding these guys while traveling for work.I was having a problem that I thought required routine maintenance, but turned out to be an expensive, complicated repair.Kevin explained the problem very well, and gave me a cheaper option that would fix my problem for now, but leave me open to it happening again. He also recommended a more extensive preventative repair. Because of the level of detail in his explanation (including a video!) and his willingness to leave it up to me, I had no problem letting him do the more extensive fix. Many mechanics would just BS or bully their way into the bigger job. (To be sure, I asked some mechanic friends, and they confirmed Kevin’s recommendation and pricing)Trust this shop.

After reading the good reviews about this shop i decided to give it a shot and check it out. This is a small local shop owned by Kevin with 2 employees currently. They are very knowledgeable and have great customer service.I own a 3000GT which most shops dont have much experience working on, so it was nice to see Kevin had experience with these vehicles. These guys went out of there way to check over the issues and concerns i had as well as explained things very well.I can be that PITA customer and these guys really went out of there way to answer any questions i had thoroughly explain things. These guys are honest and clearly have lots of experience and knowledge working on vehicles.They do not have an alignment machine nor a tire machine. However less then 100ft from the building is an alignment shop who Ive heard does fantastic work. There is also a tire shop less then half a mile down the road in case you encounter any of those needs. They are in the processes of moving to a new shop and Im sure will have more nice toys shortly.

I’ve never experienced such great genuine hospitality from an auto shop before. Kevin is an honest hard working man. Everyone at STAS work with such integrity you don’t have to worry about anything when your car is with them because you know they’ll do their best work and they genuinely want the best for you and your vehicle. I am currently sitting here waiting at the shop waiting for a gas cap for my car because Kevin noticed I was missing one so within minutes he found one online and is having it delivered before I head out. I moved to Tx in 2012. My daughter recommended Kevin to do work on my 1997 Ford Ranger. Being an older vehicle, I had several jobs done. Each time Kevin did a great job. He has always been dependable. Once he fixed my A/C and it stopped working again. He checked it out to find that the part he had put in was defective. I went in thinking I need new brakes for my 2017 super duty. He inspected my brakes and told me I still had 60% of my pads were still good and the squeaking was not an issue. I had a difficult to solve problem on my car, after replacing so many parts that where probably good, I decided to take it to the professionals. I was charged 85 dollars to diagnose my problem, I was told by one of the mechanics they will tell me what my problem was. The next day I received a call from them telling me about a sensor that might or might not fix my problem, at this point I was really mad and disappointed but still kept my calm. Really nice people, my only problem is, if they where gonna start guessing on my car they should of let me known before, I would of decided not to pay for any diagnostic test since I was already guessing my self in the first place...Good luck my people.
