Took my car in for a damage door. Tried to charge $5000 for a damage door. Through insurance claim. When i recieved my car back it was pouring out coolant. They never should have touched anything under the hood. Will not recommend and will never use again

Due to an unfortunate bit of luck, Ive taken my car to Baker Collision twice in the past few months and couldnt be more pleased with the quality of work or level of service. (First time for a front right fender repair/replacement. Second time for a front bumper repair/replacement. 2007 BMW 328xi.)Before the first visit, I shopped around at a few repair shops, but was impressed the most by Baker Collision. This is a family-owned company and you interact directly with the Baker family, which is a nice contrast to a lot of shops. Always friendly and professional, they clearly explained the repair and process and gave me real-time updates as the car moved through the various repair phases. The car literally looked brand new when I picked it up! And when I unfortunately was in need of another repair of a few months later, I went straight back to Baker without thinking twice. Had an even better experience the second time as there was some back-and-forth with the insurance company and Baker handled it all directly.Very professional. Very friendly. Exceptional work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

State Farm recommended Baker Collision to repair the bumper on my red Volvo and so I took it there. I was very pleased with the service I received. From the lady who gave me the estimate, to the gentleman who took the car in and sent me email updates, to the last gentleman who returned the car to me, without exception everyone was nice, professional and highly competent.The work is excellently done and with a lifetime warranty to boot. I had not had a reason to use Baker Collision before but I am more than happy to say I will use them again should the need arise and I am also very pleased to recommend them to anyone in the community who needs to have collision damage repaired.

Nice people. I actually did not get my vehicle repaired by them. I was driving down the road and noticed that after a brake job I did not tighten the lug nut to the rear drivers side wheel. I quickly stoped at Baker Collision and asked if they could let me borrow some tools. The guy at the front desk went and got me a socket and wrench no questions asked even though he was busy. After an auto accident, my 2007 Nissan Sentra had a busted right front headlight. It was quite awful looking. I took my poor car to Baker Collision Express. The employees were very very friendly and helpful. They got to work on my car the same day I took it in and communicated with the insurance agency for me. They kept me posted through email about the stages of repair my car was going through. When the repairs were finished, a Baker Collision employee picked me up and gave me a safe, comfortable ride to the body shop. I saw my car and was amazed! It looked perfect! I am still in awe that people are able to make my car go from the ragged, broken mess that it once was to look brand new again. They have some very talented people working there. I am so happy about my car, and it looks and drives fantastic! Great job!

I brought a Saab in with front end damage and was initially told that the car would be fixed, after I bought the parts to fix it. They took the damaged grill and bumper off and called me to tell me the car had frame damage and was not repairable. They did this with the car sitting on a back lot without checking it on a frame machine. I was told that they were afraid to fix the car, because I might come back and sue them if I was involved in another wreck. I was dumb founded at such a remark. I cant comment on how well Baker Collision fixes cars, but only how they dealt with me. In my opinion, they did not want to trouble themselves in helping me. At least they were nice enough not to charge me a storage fee for keeping the car.I later had the car repaired at Genesis Body Shop with little trouble and in a minimum of time. Whom by the way did a great job!

Allstate tried to get me to go to one of their preferred body shops when I wrecked my pristine 09 Tundra. I was somewhat new to the area and was hesitant since that shop only had one review on Google and it was 3 stars. Baker popped up right away with almost 20 reviews averaging over 4.5 stars....... cant be for any type of auto shop right? I had the tow truck take it to Bakers and my first question to them was whether all of those reviews were legit and the Baker employee chuckled and said yes........ As someone who is OCD researching the best place to spend my dollar, take this review as a testament that their service is unrivaled. I compare their service only to personal friends and family.Their initial service on my complete front rebuild was superb. My girl was returned to me and I couldnt tell the difference between before and after. I looked and everyone knows shell never be the same, but my Tundra was the same as when I wrecked it. The service was quick, the communication was outstanding and they made my poor experience with Allstate bearable. Fast forward 5 months and Ive moved out of state and my AC doesnt work on the first hot day. I call up Baker Collision expecting to be given the run around because thats what you expect from the stereotypical auto shop. They did their due diligence and didnt just give me the money, but honored their warranty on my AC system. It wasnt poor craftsmanship either, there was the slightest rub of two lines together which allowed the AC to leak and they handled my warranty just as quickly and professionally as my original service.Baker Collision sets a standard for service.

Three days ago I felt that I would never recommend Baker Collision to anyone that I knew, based on an unpredictable situation that seemed to go down hill rather quickly. When I took my car in for repair, I had done so based on an estimate that was provided to me. However, at some point the cost of repairs had changed and due to mishap in communication I was not informed of these changes before hand. At this point, Baker Collision and I had our differences but thanks to Steve, Chris, and the rest of the Baker Collision team we were able to come to a mutual resolution. As a result of their dedication to providing excellent customer service, Baker Collision was more than willing to honor their original estimate which made both my wife and I very happy. It is because of their willingness to make their customers happy, I would recommend Baker Collision to my friends.

Ive taken multiple vehicles to Baker Collison for estimates and repairs and I am always very pleased with the service.

I took my car to Baker because someone backed into my car. I was super excited to pick my car up. The bumper was replaced but it DOES NOT MATCH MY CAR! I was told that my paint was a hard match, then told that the matches it to the mirrors, then told that well it’s just hard to match. It’s so obvious! It was nerve racking enough for someone to hit my car that I hadn’t even had 30 days but then to pick it up from the repair shop and have a mismatch car! I’ve tried to overlook it, but’s it’s an eye sore! It’s a shame when people who are seeing my car for the first time say, nice car but why doesn’t the bumper match? The customer service was good and they kept me updated every step of the way except for calling me to tell me that they had a difficult time matching paint!

Baker Collision express gets the Job done. They scared me a little with their initial promise date, but got the work done well ahead of schedule. Also they required minimal paperwork and kept me informed on the process my vehicle was undergoing and about when I could expect its return. I will do business with them again if I should happen to be in need of their services.

I had quite a unique experience dealing with Baker Collision Express and I must say that I am tremendously pleased. I took my Honda in for dent repair from the recent hail storm. Things got interesting when a third-party delivery truck backed into my vehicle, while parked at Baker awaiting service, damaging the hood, fender, grill, and bumper. Despite the third-party driver objecting to responsibility and resisting compensating for damages the Baker family did not hesitate to repair all damages with factory OEM parts and release my car at no additional cost. They even covered the additional rental car charges that I incurred due to the lengthened repair time. Ultimately, Mr. Baker and his team kept me out of the middle of a messy situation and returned my car in perfect condition.

Stupendous service!! My car door was hit yesterday afternoon by another vehicle. The drivers door would not shut. The door hinge was bent. My insurance company referred me to J.C. at Baker Collision. I brought my vehicle in at noon. Larry in the body shop took my car to the back and within 10 minutes, he had repaired the door!! I was back home at 12:30. Excellent service!! Professional, courtesy staff! I would highly recommend Baker Collision Express in Irmo to anyone who needs prompt, efficient service!

I went through USAA. They recommended Bakers. I said sure that I would give them a try. They worked with me. Since I work 13 hr nights. They estimated 4 days tops. Not even 2 days and I was up there getting my car back. They did a great job. Thank yall, It looks brand new. I would recommend any one I know to go through them. :)

I’m really disappointed after I took my Tacoma 2011 to Gerber body shop I used to be Baker customer and I don’t know Gerber bought Baker, really bad customer service especially dealing with really ( Amanda L. ) they charger a lot of money I’m sure another body shop a lot cheaper and better customer service, maybe I’ll dealing with them if ( Amanda L. ) is not working there

As recommnded by USSA, I took my Honda Accord to Bakers Collision Express recently.I was so pleased to see my car after the bodywork is done on the Right fender and door.My car is shining like never before.I loved the way Bakers Collision express handled my case.They were professional,courteous and prompt.I highly recommend this place.

They were able to fix some door hinges and door alignment issues Dick Smith was not after taking the car back multiple times. The quality of the Baker Collison work was simply better in my particular instance though Dick Smith did actually put out a good-faith effort their tech was simply not as skilled. Additionally, Baker also was able to work with the third-party insurance adjuster GEICO AFTER I already offered to pay out of pocket for the mere $154 they charged to resolve the issue... Specifically, Chris took ownership of the problem. One of the other awesome things is they showed me the name of an uppostery cleaning product they used as a courtesy when I asked for input on how to remove a smudge on a new headliner (installed by another body shop). It worked flawlessly; I tracked it down via the Internet and bought a can for myself.Its been over a year and everything is still good. They earned this great review.

Perfection. This body shop is the definition. I work in the hospitality industry and was blown away by the service I received from the employees at Baker Collision. My 2013 Honda Accord was severly damaged by the hail storm last month and you would never know it after the Baker PDR team was finished with it. Never knew that the level of service exsisted at a body shop. If you want your car to look like it did before an accident, or a hail storm, take it to these guys you will not regret it, I promise.

First off id like to thank Larry Baker... what a guy... I wrecked my Genesis Coupe and was stressed beyond... didnt know who to go to till I heard about Bakers Collision Express. I did significant damage to my car thinking it would take 3 weeks to fix, I had it back within a week... noticed a few things wrong and brought it to their attention, I was immediately helped, no issues no hassles, pure and outstanding customer service, never seen customer service ANYWHERE else compared to Bakers Collison... they fixed my car like it was brand new its like the accident never happened.... if I ever need anything done to my car, I will go no where else.....NOWHERE...both irmo and lexington locations are fantastic 10 out of 10 hands down the best body shop out there Thank You!

Had great experience with Baker. Never had weekly updates before on work being done on a vehicle. Body work looks wonderful. They are deffinately my 1st choice.

What they do they do very well. I dropped my car off at the Lexington location with rear bumper damage prior to the new year and still do not have it back. During the course of the repair they had to paint the rear quaters which required removing the painted pinstrips on both panels. They sub contracted out the pin striping. During the first attempt there were drips off the pinstrip lines. I was repeately told that the pinstriper is the best in the Carolinas and they dont understand why it dosnt look better, Fast foward, we are now on the sixth repair attempt. Whole sections of strips were not painted. They even admit that the quality of strip does not match that of the rest of the car.

When I first saw the damage on my 03 GMC EnvoyXL, I was furious that someone would hit my vehicle in my neighborhood and did not leave a note or anything to apologize for the incident. A hit and run had broken me. I thought there was no way it could be fixed. But, thanks to the guys at BAKERS Collision Express located in Irmo, SC. They proved me wrong. It took longer than expected which i figured things would need to be replace due to the damage. With patience comes great things. And with that being said BAKERS was worth the wait. I picked up my vehicle today and I must say my vehicle never looked that good. It was like it was never touched. Down right SEXY! LOL. The guys did an outstanding job at 160% efficiency. With their professionalism I highly recommend them to everyone in the US population.

Needed my mirror replaced. Mallory got someone to fix it for me and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Mallory even cleaned the mirror off for me :)
