I went there because of Andrea. She always cuts my hair perfectly and she listens to me concerning how I want my hair to look. Shes really good and shes nice.

They are not color experts at all. I literally left the same way then how I walked in but with less money. I needed to add some black color to my hair since I had too much light highlights. They said they added some black color using the hat/cap technique, waited 20 minutes, and after cleaning it up, it literally looked the same as before. So she tried again but using a different method (aluminum), waited again 20 minutes, washed the hair, and guess what ..... it still looked the same exact way as the beginning. It didn’t seem like they knew what solutions to give me or how to implement it. She also didn’t knew how to do the little holes using the cap/hat and so my scalp got pinched hard several times. It looked like she was new and in training which is fine we all start somewhere but don’t call yourself ‘Hair Color Experts’ and charge like one if y’all don’t have the expertise of it. I ended up paying and leaving since it didn’t look like they knew of a solution. Definitely don’t recommend.

Mona is the best! She took on my bleach hair disaster that another hairstylist damaged like a champ and turned it into AMAZING! Not only does the color look good but the health status of my hair is literally out of this world. People compliment me all the time now. I wont let anyone else touch my hair. Mona is the only person I trust. Highly recommend!

I am so secure in the safety of Hair Color Experts due to their extensive sanitizing. I love the fact they are always on time. No waiting...walk in and straight to the chair. Most of all Mona always produces the best color and cut that is consistent. I have been a customer for a few years and even though I live about 45 minutes away, I don’t mind the drive for my hair.

This place is a joke see where I had an appointment at 2 o’clock on a Friday I work my day around it and for for blonde highlights I go in there I fill out a survey of some sort which I thought was odd the lady looked at my hair asked me oh what do you need toner which I always have with bleach I said well yeah I thought that was Part of it she told me she I don’t have time to do a toner will have to reschedule well I feel like I dodged a bullet on this one ladies be careful

Very friendly. Always leave with what I ask for. They give great advice if Im unsure about anything. I brought my daughter in for a color. They were really detailed and informative about the different styles and colors. She gave us the tools to make the best decision for us. The result was perfection.

I am in love! This hair salon is a cut above. They really took the time to get to know me. They wanted to know specifics on what makes me happy and what I dont like when I get haircuts, both in the cut as well as in the overall experience. My cut is awesome, Mona really understands hair and how different types of hair need different types of cutting. My color is amazing. Just overall awesomeness. I was struggling to find a new salon and am glad I gave this place a try. Ill be returning and am looking forward to my next appt!

Ive been in League City, TX less than a year and have been searching for an experienced stylist that really understands how to cut and color fine hair.Ive finally found Mona, she is the greatest! . She is a Board Certified Colorist and really goes above and beyond to please the client. She gave me a free color consultation prior to my hair color appointment and a price quote. She really listened to what I wanted and I couldnt be more pleased. Her prices are great too!The salon is very clean and modern, the staff very friendly. Wonderful place love the staff and the job they do.

This was my second time to the Salon. The first time was for a haircut and very detailed conversation with my issues concerning for color. I showed for my appointment on the July 19, 2019. Angela began the color process. Everything seem to be going accordingly. Rinsed my hair and began to blow dry my hair. Everything looked great to me while I was at the shop. The other stylist even made a comment about how great it looked. Angela had my hair almost dried and she stopped drying my the normal way. She patted the top down and blow dried it flat. I thought it was kind of weird at the time. I know now she did not want me to see the line in my hair between the roots and the rest of my hair. Two obvious different colors. I thought I was seeing things until I asked my husband and my best friend. I probably should have called the salon and spoken to Angela but I think she already knew this and had let me walk out of the salon with her acknowledgment. I don’t like conflict or confrontation. So I decided to write this review. I really hoped I had found a confident hair color expert but that is not the case.

This by far has been my favorite place! Ive dyed my hair a few times before but it has never come out as nicely as when I came here. They matched the right shade a vibrant green that I wanted and it looks amazing! The stylist that did it (Angela) was extremely thorough and tedious when it came to sectioning my hair for both the lightening and coloring process. Everyone who works here is friendly as well. I would absolutely recommend coming here!

Been going to HCE for over a year now. Love the hometown feel. Angela, Mona and Perry are fun to visit every month. Angela does my hair and I enjoy my visits. She listens to what i want and when asked gives suggestions. They are not pushy with upselling or product sales and I like that. I like that they have extended hours into the evenings on Thursdays. This is beneficial for people who work full time jobs during the week and have busy weekends! For me its worth the drive to West League City and dealing with the traffic.

If you are not satisfied go directly to the top to the ABCH. That is exactly what I did by calling the American Board of Certified Hair Colorist and making a formal complaint. They took the issues I had very seriously as their reputation is on the line. Certified she maybe but qualified and professional she definitely is not.NOTE: The prices have increased and the hours reduced.REPLY TO OWNER(s)As a former client I am allowed to write a review at any time rather it is good or bad. I started using Yelp this year in which I did copy and paste my reviews from Google to Yelp. Now both sites have reviews. If my reviews were not up to Google and Yelp LEGAL standards they would not be posted.What is interesting as a former client of 3 years and who came in every 4 to 5 weeks to get my hair done is the blame is being put on me.A professional should always take the responsibility for anything that happens within the salon or to the client.Yes, I had an allergic reaction. A professional would have done a patch test first to ensure I was not allergic. Yes, I was upset when I called the salon but I never yelled at any employees. I asked that the stylist call me back ASAP. Instead I received a call from her partner (her husband). I spoke with him regarding the situation in a professional manner and he stated that he knew nothing about the hair process but would pass the message along to the stylist.However, it took 3 days for her to call me back. The stylist blamed me a loyal long time client over a new employee. They should have shown me the same loyalty but they did not.Shame on you!!!This entire story has been blown out of proportion on their end.I have spoken my peace and this is the truth.The End.

I gave this place a try because it was close to my house and my barber was booked. I was please with my first cut, but when I came back the second time yesterday, it just wasnt the same. Thats unfortunate because the ladies here are very friendly and professional. I think my hair and style request may be to challenging.
