I agree; they are always so honest and never try to throw on extra work just to make a buck. They only fix what needs to be fixed and they always ask first and tell you about how many miles you could go before this breaks or becomes an issue or no, this needs to be repaired right now or your car is fine and needs nothing except the oil change --- very honest.

Very pleasant, honest, and usually will give you a higher estimate than repairs actually end up being. I have been taking vehicles there for years and highly recommend. Here is a story to share how honest they are: My teen daughter was driving home at night on the highway when her car started chugging and ended up dying on her. I had a tow-truck take her car to Holmen Auto Service after hours. When I called them the next morning they said they had only just looked at it briefly, but appears the fuel pump is bad and would cost several hundred dollars to replace. I told them to go ahead with the repair. They called me back later and said that after they were able to spend more time with the car, found that there is nothing wrong with the fuel pump, but that the car had just run out of gas! So they had already been given permission to go ahead with an expensive car repair, but were SO HONEST that they didnt do the unnecessary repair but only charged me for a few gallons of gas and a brief service visit. Great place to take a car!

This place doesnt deserve a star, holmen auto has terrible service their hack mechanics who take zero responsibility when they screw something up, just warning you DO NOT GO HERE, my experience: took my car to Holmen to have them install an interlock system, dropped it off, and got a call couple hours later, Matt tried sugar coating the problem telling me that my traction control module just wasnt walking up so I went down to the shop to see whats actually going on, they initially liked to me by telling me they would only splice into 1 wire,the ignition wire,I looked he at least had 15 wires he was splicing into. anyway my car wouldnt come out of park and he couldnt figure it out, of course. so I told them to tow my car to a trusted nearby dealership, their diagnosis was that Matt definitely soldered my esp traction control module(TCM) incorrectly, and fried the esp(TCM) its a $3000 repair, they dont take responsibility, and have told me that it was nothing matt did and the part just went out by itself, of course they are liars and I have that on record, Matt is an insufferable human being stay

Place it quick and easy, I went In for a break job, and they charged me a reasonable price, all around stealer service.
