My wife and I have been looking for a new Optometrist for several years now. We did a lot of research and found that many recommendations were for the Dorfzaun Eye Group. So we gave them a try.What an eye opening experience! Sorry couldnt resist. Dr. Dofzaun and his staff were amazing from the time we scheduled our appointments on the phone all the way through the eye exam.They were very caring and thorough, making sure everything they were saying was completely understood. We cant say enough good things about them.By the way there are over 23 Optometrists closer to our house. The care and professionalism we received from Dr. Dorfzaun and his staff makes it well worth the trip.

I have an extremely strong astigmatism and am very far-sighted. 30 years of eye doctors, and this facility has given me the best experience of any Ive been to. The doctors are very knowledgable and interested to help their patients see the best possible. The staff is fantastic.

Dr.Dorfzaun is a most excellent physician and it is clear in everything that he does he has a passion for his work. The office staff is, for the most part, absolutely top-notch. The ladies at the desk are so patient and polite, and Dawn in the contact lens department is absolutely the best! She is always ready to answer any questions we might have thoroughly and to our understanding and is always smiling and sweet. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone. You will always walk into a very welcoming environment and scheduling is a breeze. My only complaint would have to be Estelle. She is absolutely hateful and nasty to everyone and we have witnessed her several times speaking to her fellow co-workers hatefully right in front of patients! She is constantly dripping with an aura of superiority and cant be bothered to answer any questions that are asked of her. I find it hard to believe such a wonderful doctor tolerates such blatantly unprofessional behavior.

This place offers top notch service. My visit was excellent from the moment I walked in. The front desk staff was very polite and professional and stayed on point throughout the entire visit. Dr.Lam is great! He is very patient and knowledgeable. Well deserving of a 5 star .

Never got to see a doctor just because the front desk person was so rude. I couldnt stay on the phone with her for another minute.Your receptionist will definitely ruin your business.

Ive been going to Dr. Dorfzaun since 1978 and his office was a little hole-in-the- wall tucked in the back of the shopping center where he had his last office. He is very knowledgeable in his field. Not only can he catch eye problems, but he can also catch medical problems before they get out of control. Hes treated my husband and all six of our children. Now hes working on my grandchildren! If THAT doesnt say something about the guy, I dont know what will! Dr. Dorfzaun and his wife Helene are the epitome of kindness and business savvy. I cant begin to count how many people I have told about his practice. I can say, however, that our family will continue to go to his practice......I am not looking forward to the day when he retires because I know I will ever find a replacement like him. Oh yeah, and about his staff....what a great bunch of people! Always smiling! And they have been there for several years which tells me that they like their work environment. That means a lot to me!

Dr. Hester is the BEST optometrist that Ive ever had! She clearly enjoys engaging with each patient and takes a personal interest in helping them obtain the best vision possible. My vision improved by at least 2 lines on the chart after her refraction for new contact lenses. Ill definitely be back!Thanks very much, Dr. Hester!!Jim W

Very good. Dr Lam is very good to deal with, answered all my questions in a very personable, professional and patient manner. AJ in fitting as well, very good to work with and Im happy I came here. I would say some more smiling from the reception desk would be a bit more inviting first impression but maybe just an off day for them.

I have been a patient at Dorfzuan for almost four years. I have referred friends to them. I went to order some contacts from 1800 Contacts and I couldnt get them because I need another prescription. So, I call for an appointment. It was moved twice, because the doctors wife had a baby. I completely understand. However, they made no effort to get me in any sooner than Thanksgiving. I told her that I didnt have any contacts and I needed to get in sooner, even with a different doctor. I told the receptionist that I guess I would go to another eye doctor and she said, OK.

I had a hard time to get a pair of prescription progressive eyeglasses which will not cause a headache until I visited this Eye Group where I received friendly customer service; where I obtained clear sight from Doctor’s professional exams; where I met the Optician: Patty!She patiently helped me with choosing frames. I kept going back and forth between different frames, but she did not make me feel rushed or under pressure. Thanks to Patty’s accurate measurements and calculations, I had her filled three prescription progressive glasses and one of them was a pair of progressive sunglasses and all of them are fit so well. Thanks to you all!

Dr. Dorfzaun is the best of the best. I used to go to walmart, but will never go back. He is very professional and has the most courteous staff. The selection of glasses are great and very stylish. I am a walking advertisement for him and send everyone I know to go there!

Dr. Hester and the staff are great. They are on time - which is hugely important to me. Dr. Hester is always willing to discuss issues and answer questions related to my eye health. Even though I had lasix surgery several years ago and havent had any major changes in my eyesight, shes always helpful to suggest ways I can still make use of and maximize the benefits from our eye insurance.

Dr. Dorfzaun is a patient and knowledgeable doctor. I have a unique condition and specific treatment is required. He was highly recommended for my keratoconus lens fitting. Since Ive had a great experience, my whole family goes there.

Always greeted with smiles and and hellos as if you are old friends.( which they really are) I do not have any hesitation about calling the office with problems or questions. I have been to other eye doctors, but I feel like Dr. Dorfzaun and his practice are the best ever. Dr. Dorfzaun takes so much time with his patients and had been recommended to me by a friend. That friend had an eye problem that required Dr. Dorfzaun to send him to a specialist. The specialist indicated that most ophthalmologists would never have discovered his problem. I feel very confident in Dr. Dorfzaun. His staff is extremely pleasant, efficient, and caring.

Dr. Dorfzaun has been my ophthalmologist since I was a girl. As a young married woman, when a over enthusiastic pet scratched my cornea, he met me and my husband on a Sunday afternoon in his tennis outfit right off the court to help me in my emergency situation. So far the Dorfzaun Eye Group has provided excellent care and service for my parents, my husband’s parents, my generation, and my children grew up under their care. Best eye care in the metro Atlanta area.

Dr. Dorfzaun is awesome. My insurance doesnt really cover his services but I would never consider going to anyone else. I tell all my friends that he is eye doctor to go to. He checks everything. I feel like they would do whatever they could to help me, and they have taken care of all of my families needs.

Very disappointed in the office staff. When I was in the office for my last appointment they stated that my prescription had not changed much but to come back when it started to change to have it rechecked and that everything would be fine. A few weeks ago I called to make an appointment and they stated that I was all set to come into the office to have my eyes rechecked.Now less than 24 hours before my appointment I receive a call stating that I am not do for an exam. I told them what I was told at the office during my last visit. And the response was, was this told you by our office? Again I reiterated what was stated to me during my last visit. I was told that my insurance did not cover the visit as i have to wait until April. I asked why I was not told this when I scheduled my appointment weeks ago and they verified my insurance. The response was I dont know but you can by new glasses and then come back in 6 weeks pay again and get an adjustment.Does not make a lot of sense to me. I have been a patient here for almost 10 years. And my parents and brother 20. I guess it is time to look for a new eye doctor and stop referring people here.

Dr. Hester and her staff are wonderful and so friendly! They have been so kind and helpful in getting the perfect contacts for me! I couldnt have asked for a better eye care group than the Dorfzaun Group! Now I can throw away those pesky reading glasses!!! Im so glad I chose them for my eye care needs.

After calling this place to reschedule our appointments, both manager and receptionist were totally unapproachable and rude (rudely hanging up and refusing to follow up with their patients). We are not going to this place again that cares more about rescheduling fee than accommodating their regular patients.

Ive been seeing Dr. Dorfzaun since I was in elementary school. He has always been excellent, helpful, and thorough.

While I highly recommend the eye exams, I equally strongly recommend customers consider buying their glasses elsewhere.First, I chose some frames from a rack of $130 frames, only to be informed that they were $150. Then I was told that once my lenses arrived I would be notified and it would take only 20 minutes or so to cut the lenses when I brought in my frames (I had used the non-perscription sunglass frames to drive home after dilation). I brought my frames in three days after I received notification that my lenses were ready, and was informed that it would take another day to prepare the lenses. They were not ready the next day. I was then informed that they would be ready the following day and that I would be called to notify me. No call. I waited a second day - no call. I called in to learn that my glasses were finally ready for pickup. When I arrived, the glasses were ready, but I was informed that the non-perscription lenses, which I had asked them to keep for me, had been thrown out.In short, a most unprofessional performance in the eye glasses department.Again, I highly recommend Dr. Dorfzaun on the eye exam part of the business. Considering filling your perscription elseswhere.
