17 year old son went in for an oil change and was told he had a severe leak, the car was less then 6 months old so we took it to the dealer to confirm this leak that was to be hundreds of dollars to fix and there was absolutely nothing wrong with his car. To take advantage of a young kid who is trying to take good care of his car is an absolute disgrace and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I have to say Alex and the guys were amazing! I bought a brand new exhaust and the muffler had an issue a few days in. I stopped to see if they could diagnose the issue and they did one better by replacing it on the spot. I greatly appreciated it.

I always had great experience visiting Midas, but ever since Alex took over it’s 10 times better. I’ve always been happy, but his knowledge is beyond amazing and costumer service A+ and he’s very honest. Prices are very fair and it’s much cleaner too. Wow. I had a terrible and costly experience at this location. They couldnt figure out what was wrong with my no brakes so they started throwing costly parts such as brake booster and master cylinder on it. One week later the car was not fixed. They towed it to another Midas to.see if the other shop could fix. Over a week later they say it might be better to go to Ford dealer as they dont have equipment. But, they made me pay for booster and master cylinder. Ford fixed right away. Two months of calls and complaints and BBB filing has got me no where. They refuse to even consider a full or partial refund of parts that were not needed. Everyone be careful as they use excuse the parts they replaced were near the end of life cycle. Funny, those parts did not fix the brakes. Buyer beware. I am retired and a disabled vet. This was a lot of money that they forced me to pay or they would not release my car to Ford.

I had an appointment at noon for oil change and brakes. 1:15 and my car had not yet been taken back to the garage. I left as they were no where near getting my car in. Please dont waste your time.

The team at Mentor Midas took the headache of installing coilover suspension off my shoulders when I couldnt quite get them on at home. Alex was able to work me into the schedule and get my suspension installed within just a few hours - making short work of what would be days on jackstands in my hands. Would definitely recommend these guys!

Cannot recommend these guys enough!!! They were originally recommended to us by a local from the area and I wish I had a way to contact that guy because he has my heartfelt thanks. The people at this shop are incredibly diligent, hard-working, knowledgeable, and their prices are more than fair. They have taken such great care of our vehicles, making sure they explain every step of the way and always, always check before they do something extra while explaining why they think it is necessary and how it would affect us if left untreated. I recently asked them to look at a vehicle I was interested in buying and they not only saved me from throwing my money away on a scam but gave me sound advise and counsel on where to look, what to look out for, and how to protect myself in the future from dirty dealers. I particularly want to praise the manager for how he runs the store and treats his customers, even over-hearing how he talks to other customers, he is always conscientious, polite, and explains everything in way that is easy to understand. If the home office ever reads this, I hope you know that this store is a shining example of your company and has set the standard all mechanics should strive to meet.

Good deal on a oil change and tire rotations. Pretty speedy. You may wait a little longer but its like a $20 savings compared to quicky change places. Also after so many oil changes you get a free one. 😁👍

I went there about a month ago and I didn’t understand what was wrong with my car. I took it in, my first time at Midas and I’m thinking they fixed my car paying $500 but I drove off the lot and my car was the same as when I took it to them. However, they did reimburse me for my towing fee.

I had questions concerning the work done on my car. I sent texts, emails.. to the manager.Never had the courtesy to reply. Haven’t been back since..

I felt like I overpaid on parts.

Had first taken my car to Conrads who quoted around $3,600 to replace entire catalytic converter and muffler assembly. I searched online for places that specialized in mufflers and decided to try midas for a free quote. They got me in at the last few hours of the day and walked me out to the bay and showed me that only the back muffler needed replaced but could only be purchased through dealership. Told me because of this that they would let me order it and bring it in to be installed. They were very honest and very thorough. They installed my muffler for a very affordable price. The muffler itself cost me $630 and with labor it was still under $800 vs. Conrads $3,600 to replace entire assembly. Midas also does oil changes and tire rotations. Im definitely changing over to Midas for my future car maintenance needs and Im already recommending them to family and friends.

Two stars for getting the job done on time and having a good deal on a full synthetic oil change.Zero stars for a ridiculously long wait in the lobby for someone to check my car in and check me out during pick up. I understand that people are working on cars but I could see at least one person through the window on their phone and even then, someone should still come out as soon as a customer walks in, especially if someone has an appointment.Even when I came to pick up my car, there was literally zero customer service. No greeting of any sort. Was just handed my keys and folded up receipts with grease stains on them. I literally witnessed the guy at the desk crease the reciepts with greasy hands.When I got home, I looked through the receipt and saw there was a note from the tech that said my pinion was leaking. This should have been told to me while I was there. Maybe I would have let Midas actually fix it if they told me about it and explained to me whats involved and what it means. Literally a perfect opportunity to upsell me on an actual fix I needed, wasted due to a lack of customer service.

We’re very new to the area after moving here in November, which also meant saying goodbye to a close family friend mechanic that our family has known for decades. His mechanical help was unparalleled, and we were absolutely spoiled by his assistance and care. After moving, we were anxious about potential car issues as we have had terrible luck with other local mechanics in the past when ours was too busy – so much that we are generally dumfounded by the incompetence of commercial mechanics: imagine going to different doctors for a persistent cough and 9 out of 10 prescribed you leeches to get rid of the ghosts in your blood.Sure enough, shortly after moving our car troubles started with a jarring metal-on-metal sound coming from around a rear tire. A local addressed us while we were discussing it, and we consider ourselves incredibly lucky that he directed us to Midas. We have had to contact them 2 more times since then, and their service has been above and beyond anything I ever expected. The prices are great and fair, the mechanics are incredibly knowledgeable and thorough – often providing demonstrations so that it is clear why a certain part needs to be worked on. The manager has been incredibly helpful, going far above and beyond the level of assistance I ever expected from a store like this. They even had great advice when we were shopping to replace our worst car, and they basically saved us from an expensive trap from a shady dealership.The point I wanted to make is this – this Midas location has provided the same level of care and service as that family friend we have known for decades. They are incontestably some of the best mechanics I have encountered, period.

Stopped in for license plate bulbs to be changed. I had the bulbs already so they didnt charge me and had it done in under 5 minutes!!! Great service and very helpful people !!!

Sold me a “new” tire that was leaking air Then they had the nerve to tell me that the tire needed replaced soon. The brand “new” tire they had JUST put on... I don’t know why/how they would say my brand new tire needed changed soon Seems very fishy to me The guy was talking 1,000 mph w his sales pitch. I would never go to these guys again Don’t recommend ..

They did not tighten my daughters oil pan cover and it flew off on the freeway. Still have yet to get it replaced so I havent used them for an oil change since. Modas in lakewood on w 117th put tires on her car and they did a gr8 job

Made an appt for an oil change. They took my car back at the exact time I was scheduled. After they looked over my vehicle, they called me back to the garage to show me possible things that I might want to have worked on my car. I explained I was not interested at this time and they were not pushy at all! They actually gave me a written estimate of all the details and the charges and said that they would price match anyone, which made me feel very comfortable in my decision making. The waiting room was quite nice. The TV was a large screen and at a comfortable sound level. Free coffee was available. And the girl at the desk made very easy conversation. I will definitely be returning and referring my friends!

A part of our exhaust system Was needing replacement. to buy the entire OEM part was going to cost around $800 without labor. Instead of replacing the entire piece, They were able to cut the damaged part out of it and weld in a new piece and I walked out of there at about $170! They definitely were looking for the more affordable fix for me. I really appreciate that and would highly recommend them!

Decent place to get work done. I try to do everything myself but when its too much or I dont feel like it I come here. They have reasonable prices and everyone is super friendly. The coffee is OK. 😂

I was a walk in with a flat tire. They were busy, but took care of my problem pretty fast and did a tire rotation. No charge for fixing the flat. Lady at the desk pleasant. Been coming here ~10 years. Havent had any complaints. Prices for different services seem fair, reasonable.

Got me in the same day for an oil change, it does take a while because they do an inspection of your car. Prices are reasonable for work you need done. No high pressure sales, like some other places

I brought my Jeep in along with a lift kit i got online. They worked with me very well & had it installed in 7 hours. It’s only been a few hours since i picked it up but it seems to be a professional install. everything looks and feels good. also, the waiting room is nice and has coffee if you want. overall wonderful atmosphere. and everybody whom i worked with were nice and helpful

Excellent experience from start to finish. Dennis was professional, efficient, and honest. His team in the bays were great as well. In the hour and a half I was there to have my front rotors, calipers, and pads replaced/repaired Dennis and his crew managed to take care of three other clients as well. I drove away impressed, satisfied, and most importantly safe.

When I thought I had a leak in my tire I just walked in, no appointment. They checked all four tires for me and filled them with air. Good news...no leak. Best news...it was free!! I love this place!

I have used them for several years for oil changes etc. Always had good service with minimal upselling. Lately there has been a management change. Up selling has greatly increased. Also the quality of work has dropped. Over torquing of lug nuts has resulted in several stripped wheel studs.

I’m a frequently unlucky person when it comes to cars and Midas is always there to help out. The service is fantastic and they always get me in and out in a reasonable time!

The mechanics are really great. Its a chain shop, but they give that trusty corner shop mechanic feel to the place (where you feel like a valued customer). I can really depend on these guys to be reasonable.

My wife had an issue and called corporate due to the elyria midas telling us differently do it and called corporate and consumer number nuremous times they said I got calls back and I never did. HORRIBLE customer services never thought this company would do this.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! I had these amatuers fix my exhaust that was on the verge of falling off. They informed me that they also needed to replace a piece of pipe as well. These morons charged me 400 dollars for a four inch piece of pipe and a couple screws!!! My car now backfires and also rattles!!! Ha-Ha, you idiots! They also welded a piece of metal that hangs down and now smacks into anything I try and drive over. Well done! Do yourself a favor and take your car to a reputable place! I hope you guys sleep well at night knowing you rip off your customers. I tell every person I know not to take their cars here! Beware!

This location is wonderful. I was driving home on Mentor Ave when a steel plate from under my gas tank started dragging on the road. I pulled in and they put it on the lift and cut off the plate no charge. I will come back when I need service - Sherry and Joe are the best!!!!!

Thank you to Daniel at Mentor Midas. I was concerned about a tire message that kept coming up my dashboard. Daniel put the car on the rack and checked everything including the sensors. Nothing was wrong and he was able to explain to me that sometimes sensors go off if just one tire is slightly different that the others. So now I am able to get back on the road to head to New England without any worries. I was even offered a fresh pot of coffee and a comfortable waiting room and no charge for just checking the tires. Outstanding customer service.

I came in for a routine oil change and it was the quickest service Ive ever experienced! Dan and his team are very efficient and customer-oriented. One of the guys working on my car even drove it up to the front door so I would have to walk to it. Things like that are what make people become loyal customers to a business. I highly recommend going to this location!

I talked to Randy on a Monday and he was willing to do the work that day. Unfortunately, I had a previous appointment so we set it up for Thursday the same week. The replacement of the muffler and exhaust system took 1hr 20 min, Very professional and courteous staff. Would not hesitate to recommend!

The mechanics there are great. I appreciate being shown the car under the lift so I can see problems for myself. They also showed me how to change an air filter on my own. The manager Daniel is super. Will make it my go-to place from now on.

I have been going to this Midas for years for all maintenance on my car. They are very reasonably priced and have great customer service. They always get me in and out quick and I love that they always seem like they want to help and are not just trying to make money off of their customers!

I called this place and they said inspection was free. I took the car there and they looked at it. They said there was a lot to be fixed. It would cost around five or six hundred dollars to fix for new springs and an evap thing. They said I also need a new headlight which would cost $75. My headlight works when I turn on the AC for some reason, so it was not the headlight that is the problem. It is electrical, not the headlight. They mis-diagnosed that. I went to get the paperwork for the work that needed done and they said I owe them $85 for looking at it. I told them I called ahead of time and they told me it was free. I even recorded the call and played it back to him. I have the recording. Thank God for that app. He told me to just take the car and he refused to give me the paperwork for the work order. Seemed very rude. Not friendly at all and looked mad. On my way out, I saw a flyer that read, Leave us a review! So here I am. Youre welcome

Our rear brake line broke on our 1977 Dodge Midas RV while we were enroute to Buffalo, NY. We travel for our work and had to be there that same night. TJ was awesome, he diagnosed the problem and had us back on the road in 2 hrs. Thanks again for your expert help!

Just bad. They overcharge and take money off if you think of going elsewhere. Barely keep in contact. Workers in store have zero idea whats going on if you call in. When I didnt have the money to fix my car, the mechanic offered me what a junkyard would pay in order to keep it for himself. Uneducated lot, I would say. Stand clear.

Manager tried to play tricks . Told me no longer had 100.00 brake special for front brakes. Had own parts charge me 100.00 to do them. TV promo came on saying 99.99 per axle with pads already had mine still trying charge 100.00 was told no longer available

Great work but prices are to high for me

The one star is for Terry the mechanic. They had my car from November 25th through December 11th for an alternator and some minor repairs.The whole time the car was in their possession I was solely responsible for paying for my rental. I was also responsible for a tow ($175)that was their fault because they didnt fix a part that was recommended on the original estimate the part caught on fire twice and when I receive my car back on Decemberon11th there was $2,100 worth of damage to the body of my vehicle. I talk to the DM Paul and he refused to give me any refund of any sort.

They did an excellent job on my front end alignment and showed me how to check certain things on my car I recommend this place
