The experience that we had at Lakeside Toyota was great. We went there because they had the biggest selection of Toyota 4 runners, it was an hour from our home. After looking at the selection we decided that we wanted to special order one exactly like we wanted. Salesman Rudy was the best! We ordered what we wanted, came in a lot quicker than we thought, zero miles, and absolutely beautiful. When we went back to pick it up, it was in its own special bay, shined up and ready to go. Rudy had everything ready to go within an hour or so we were walking out the door. Wonderful experience!

As with any car deal, please be careful. Check. Check and check some more. I purchased a used car from Lakeside in March of this year. In general, my experience was typical but not awful. Single woman shopping. Salesmen were dismissive. But, that is to be expected and, again, they were not horrible. I negotiated for the price I wanted to pay and we made the deal, after several hours. Fast forward four months and I take the car to a car wash. When going through the drying section of the car wash, my back windshield was sucked out of my car. After speaking with glass specialists, they let me know there was something wrong with my glass when this happened. I didnt check the car well enough before I purchased it. Even when salespeople are decent to you, check the car. the Carfax doesnt tell everything and Lakeside certainly want going to be honest about it. So, do your due diligence, people. Lakeside, along with others, are their jobs. Selling cars but not caring about what you may go through after the sale.

Great car buying experience. Probably the easiest Ive ever had. Well worth the drive from Florida (7 hours round trip) to buy a car from Lakeside Toyota. Drove from Baton Rouge to Metairie to buy a car after speaking with a sales person and letting them know we were on the way. After arriving, we were told the car had sold. If nothing else, a courtesy call to let us know it had sold would have been appreciated.

I want to edit my review, after I left a negative review. I spoke with the Sales Manager Troy Campise. After speaking with him, he was very accommodating. He made me feel more as a valuable customer. I was turned off by the first sale. However, after speaking with Troy, I had a better understanding of why the sale went the way it did. I want to take back what I had previously said about a negative buying experience. I have bought every Toyota I ever owned from Lakeside. So, give them a chance, just dont be afraid. insist what you are looking for. I should have pushed more. My main issue was the color of the car. As far as quality, everything is fine. I think most of the issue was with me and how I did not insist on looking at other colors. Mostly, I would still go back to Lakeside and I would suggest anyone to do the same. Thank You.

If I can give this place zero stars, I would. So unprofessional. I set up an appointment to get my car looked at as I thought my transmission was giving me problems. My car keeps shutting off and it’s not changing gears like it’s supposed to. I set up my appointment on a Friday, and they told me they couldn’t get to my car til Monday. I decided to leave it til Monday, since I didn’t feel comfortable driving it. Tina in services called me with the results, or so I thought. She told me that my car was low on oil, which I already knew and was going to get that taken care of. They took it upon themselves and changed it, and told me that I had too many hands under my hood so they cannot tell me what’s wrong with my car. What? Not true. The only time someone was under my hood is when I needed an oil change, a battery, and battery terminals. No one except a specialized transmission tech can get to my transmission, which is why I took it to Toyota. I told her this and asked her why can’t they tell me what’s wrong with my transmission? This problem has caused me and my two one year old daughters to be stuck in the middle of the street. She lied and said it’s because I needed an oil change. The light recently came on. My car has been shutting off before that light came on. She said that she would waive the diagnostic fee but I would still have to pay for the oil change, something that I did not ask them to do. Why are you all lying to your customers and refusing to diagnose a vehicle that I have scheduled and paid for you all to do? This service department is very inconsiderate and lazy and I will never come to this location again. What a waste of time.

Terrible Service Department. Look, I ran a high-end vehicle service and repair shop for a few years so I know good service and generally cut shops slack. But not when they lie to me. Service advisor Jean Paul Buisson (1) refused to honor pricing on a Lakeside Toyota mailer saying that it was a misprint and Im not going to lose money on this battery so this was a clear bait and switch, (2) lied about his battery price, (3) hung up on me after I asked about the mailer pricing, and (4) quoted a firm price for work and then charged $100 more when completed. Just a terrible way to run a shop so watch out. This is how you lose customers.

Every time I come here theres always something that jacks up the price or causes them to take so long. Last time it was maintenance that cost me north of $1400. This last time I go in at 10am for an oil change and a check up & was told it would take a couple of hours. I dont get a phone call or anything, so when I go to pick up the car theyre closed and idk when theyll give back my car.

Wardell Royal is the kind of car salesperson you want to buy a car from. He answered ALL of my detailed questions and treated me like an intelligent, capable human being. He was also very thorough in showing me all of the bells and whistles on my new ride. Not only did he not pressure me, but he also offered some lower-priced, similar vehicles available immediately, as opposed to waiting a few days for the configuration I wanted. Wardell also had no issue staying after closing time to finish our business when I put a deposit on the vehicle. The back office could move a bit faster for me (appraisal of trade-in, payment), but I am accustomed to a much faster-paced workplace myself.

I leased my 2019 Toyota RAV4 from Lakeside and though I live on the north shore I will only go there for my service appointments. I just really know I’m getting quality service there, and they usually go above and beyond what is required. I’m not saying that parts aren’t somewhat “pricey”, but to me that’s at any dealership and for convenience I’m not going to squabble over a few dollars when something needs to be done. But that’s just me. Anyway, I’m very happy with Lakeside Toyota and will continue crossing the causeway for my service!👍

I have bought every Automobile from Lakesde Toyota since they opened for business! Excellent Facility,excellent Staff and always the best price!!

The new showroom and Service Dept are nice but the Service Mgrs seem so displaced from the techs! I dont know that this was a good idea. Having access to techs so that customers can understand diagnoses and plans of remedy is paramount to trust. With the new Service Dept being so far away from the actual shops it just seems disassociated and more like a money machine.

My experience was great. My sales guy Bob was knowledgeable and not pushy.Most of the employees were wearing masks so it felt like a fairly safe environment. Would have appreciated it if everyone wore them inside.But all n all, I would recommend this dealership.

This review applies to the Service and Parts Departments. I have used Lakesides Service Department for all service I have had performed on my car for the last 4 or so years. They have honored any coupons I have presented. They have advised me about any repairs I need without pushing them on me - for example, they tell me when I need a new engine air filter and or AC air filter, but I never get a sense of resentment from their service advisers if I opt to change those for myself. Although I generally do not wait while having my car worked on, their new waiting space is a big improvement. When I last went in December 2020, there was tons of space to allow for social distancing. There were fancy display cars to look at near some of the available seating. They even had a high end espresso machine. If you had to wait at the service station while your service was being performed, these would definitely make the wait a lot more convenient. As to the Parts Department, the few times I have used them they have what I needed in stock, gotten it to me fast, and been pleasant in doing so.

So grateful for Dave’s awesome communication and attention and keeping me updated throughout the day. He also cashed me out at the end of the day which I’m sure wasn’t even his job. However, it seems that since they moved to the new building, service took much longer than usual. It took almost 9 hours for a tire rotation and an oil change. Hopefully they go back to whatever they were doing before because that was much quicker and a more pleasant experience overall. Although the new seating is nice and Covid friendly, I do not suggest waiting there if you can avoid it!

I’m not quite sure how to rate this bc so many things need their own score.Tina was amazing!! She was very professional. She went out of her way to help me get a key fob made. The gentlemen who told me to have my car towed in, that it would get worked on if I had it in by 3, decided to tell me (once I caught a ride from my house to the dealership in the tow truck Before 3) that my car wouldn’t be looked at until the next day. I was in shock, angry, stressed, and in tears. Tina called me over and made a few calls to get the job done. She was also on the phone with another customer making sure that he had what he needed. Tina deserves 5+ stars.The gentlemen, -1 stars for his rude attitude and the way that he spoke to me.Toyota, ill give 1 star for the outrageously priced key fob that I bought. $615 is An absolutely absurdprice to pay for a key in this day in age.Did I mention how grateful I am for Tina?

Not a very friendly environment @ Lakeside Toyota. I was not very pleased with the sale man however I’d gotten the car that I interested in buying and the price was reasonable expect they haven’t mentioned that the car has marks on the car’s profile. Overall, it was an okay shopping experience at lakeside Toyota.
