I would choose 0 stars if that was an option. We were talked into buying an Electrolux washer and dryer, which makes me think they must have received some large incentive from the company. They barely let me look at another brand. There were problems with both the washer and dryer from the day of installation. Home Appliance’s repairman was here at least 8 times in the first year and that included months when they could not come due to the pandemic. A beautiful comforter I washed was burned in the dryer. They claimed to have fixed all the issues each time they came and Jeff insisted they were the best repair people in the business. Jeff not only did not stand behind the product, he was extremely nasty and hung up on me. To this day, the washer and dryer both do not operate properly. I wouldn’t buy a can opener from them. FYI, Electrolux also did not stand behind the product.

In 2016, I purchased a Blomberg refrigerator and a 5 year service contract. During the five years, I had service on the refrigerator 4 times: eventually the entire brain had to be replaced, which was probably the reason for the first problem which occurred within one month of owning the refrigerator and all subsequent issues! And having service on it in a few weeks AGAIN. And because of a lemon, I am unable to continue with New Leaf for servicing. When I called Home Appliance the woman I spoke to indicated there was no other company from whom I could get a service contract. She appeared nonchalant and uncaring about my predicament. Nothing was suggested or offered to help me get coverage for a product I purchased from them.

BEWARE OF JEFF. He is the absolute rudest person I have ever met. Avoid him at all costs if you can. He was extremely nasty and showed no remorse. Go somewhere else.THERE IS NO RETURN POLICY!!!! MAKE SURE YOU ARE 100% SOLD BEFORE YOU BUY IT. They will not make you aware of this.

We purchased all new appliances from Home back in 2015. They were very good to deal with. Worked with Thomas, their Sales Mgr. Recently, we had to replace the Microwave. We had insurance thru New Leaf that was sold to us by Home with the original purchase of the appliances. We got back a reimbursement that fully covered the cost of a new microwave. We ordered the new microwave over the phone with Thomas, it was easy & quick. As for delivery & installation, it was very professional & efficient. They did call Wed evening around 5pm to give us a time window for next day delivery and did come on the earlier side of the window. We were notified to let us know the truck would be arriving in about 15 min.

Ive been using Home.Appliance since 2001. Although I feel that I am a loyal customer, I also comparison shop to get the best prices. I check local stores, bix box retailers and internet prices. I was looking for a fridge for my garage and found a model I liked and found the lowest internet price. I went to see Mike at Home, but didnt tell him I had a price in mind or that I had been shopping around. I gave him the model number and he came back with a price better than I had found and it was delivered and set up within 3 days. I highly recommend.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! In October I started shopping around for a built in refrigerator/freezer. When I spoke with the original salesperson Thomas I had no problem. Jeff, the despicable owner took over negotiations with me and since I wanted to finance any built in purchase from wherever I was going to purchase @ 0% interest, he gave me the phone # to Synchrony bank, told me about their great 0% financing for 12 or 18 months, and that he had a Thermador built in unit on the showroom floor that would fit flush into my space. I told him I was in negotiations with Plessers in Babylon, as well as several other stores as I wanted to replace our then current Sub Zero and wasnt sure which I was going to purchase or from which store. I figured it wouldnt hurt to get the line of credit since at zero percent, Id use it wherever I was going to purchase from. I asked Jeff to send me the proposal for his Thermador so Id have the info needed in print while negotiating with the other stores. I received the paperwork in a PDF & thought that was it. I called the store back as I had a question about the condenser in the Thermador and Jeff asked if I had been approved by Synchrony Bank for the credit line. I said that I was. He asked me for the credit card # which I refused to give him and was very clear with him that I had not decided on the Sub Zero for the extra $2000.00 yet from a different store. He then pulled his sales rule 101....Fear of loss. Said if I didnt put down a deposit then and there it could be sold, as refrigerators are scarce due to the Pandemic. I refused, and once again said that I hadnt decided what I was purchasing, or from which store, and I said go ahead and sell it. I had NO further contact with him or his store and then received a phone call from Jeff on New Years Eve stating The Thermador you ordered was just delivered to the store, so lets set up the delivery date. I was beyond shocked, had already bought a Sub Zero which was delivered, installed and working beautifully in our kitchen. When I repeated that I did not order the Thermador and wasnt interested in it, Jeff unprofessionally said You did order it and if you dont want it youll be charged a restocking fee. I said, yet again, I purchased nothing from you he insisted that I did, nastily said good luck, then hung up.The FINAL RESULT was that he gained access to my credit card in October through Synchrony Bank and charged my card the full purchase price of $7500.00 to my card!!!!I contacted the Synchony Fraud Department yesterday 1/2/2021 who informed me that a case was opened and they would take care of it! PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF FROM DEALING WITH AN EXTREMELY DEVIOUS AND TRUTH CHALLENGED OWNER OF THIS APPLIANCE STORE...Im truly shocked hes still in business, obviously desperate for sales, and how he gained access to a credit card that I did not provide ANY information for shows the serious security breach with Synchrony Bank.I know this review is rediculously long, but if it helps one person its worth it. The legal fees alone to straighten this out would cost as much as the refrigerator....Im grateful I wont have the expense of an outside attorney and this will be resolved, as well as charges pressed to this owner and the chain of security breaches. PLEASE GO TO PLESSERS, APPLIANCE WORLD, PC RICHARDS, or any other small reputable company. This one should be out of business.BTW....If your asking how I couldnt know I was charged the full amount of a refrigerator in October I didnt order.....Synchrony Bank admitted that my actual credit card, statements, and all mailed correspondence with me were returned to them because it went to a PO Box which I never provided. So since October I never heard from Jeff....NO SURPRISE....nor did I receive anything from the Synchrony Bank. I TRULY had no idea I was charged for anything. Both the store, its owner and the bank are a true risk to deal with. I hope this helps someone whos planning to finance a purchase. If I could give a Zero Star rating, I would.Happy and HEALTHY 2021 to all!!

I was in need of a new air conditioner and wanted to stay away from the so-called “big box” appliance stores because I’ve never had any success with their delivery and installation services.I was recommended to Home Appliance by a relative and was very impressed with ordering my air conditioner over the phone during the pandemic.We received our new air conditioner two weeks later and was even more impressed that the installers took such care to make sure everything was level and done the right way.However, when the installers plugged in the air conditioner to see if it worked, it caused a big “pop” and sparked, which tripped my circuit breaker. The installer suggested we reach out to an electrician to see exactly what caused this to happen.The following day, we had our electrician come to see what had happened and it turns out Home Appliance sent us a faulty air conditioner, which blew out our outlet and the circuit breaker. The cost of the repair was $300.We should of known that something was wrong with this unit when it was delivered because the box it came in wasnt in great condition.After the installation, we reached out to Jeff, who is supposedly the owner and is by far the rushiest and most nasty customer service representative I’ve ever spoke to.After speaking to a different employee, they agreed to send us a new unit, but they were “out of stock” on this particular unit, so we had to wait a full week in the heat for the next delivery date.A week later, the installers came to swap out the air conditioner and was relieved that the new air conditioner was in perfect working condition, however we were dumbfounded to see that the installers forgot to replace the insulation around the air conditioner.How does that even happen? How do you leave someone’s air conditioner not fully insulated? That’s the equivalent of leaving a window open during the summer.Anyway, after everything was back to working normally, we decided to reach back out to Jeff to tell him we should compensated for the $300 electricians bill, because the faulty unit that was sent to us was the reason we were in this whole mess.That’s when everything went down to toilet and I decided to share my experience.Jeff and Michelle, who is another employee at Home Appliance couldn’t have been any more disrespectful to us. They were beyond nasty, rushy, and extremely unprofessional. They were saying things that no one should say to a customer.Who acts like that to a paying customer?I understand that people have changed during this pandemic, but thats no excuse to act like they did. Thats not the way you run a great company.When we were shopping around at first, everyone at Home Appliance was so nice, helpful and accommodating, but once they have your money, they don’t want to be bothered by you.I’ve decided to take my business elsewhere.Totally unprofessional.Stay away from this company!

Just moved into Oceanside, decided to give a local some business. We purchased an electric fireplace, and a sectional. Fantastic customer service. The quality on both are unmatched. You can tell the difference from a big box store. They have a customer for life.

To you Jeff your mannerism on how you talk to a customer the way you did to me as a owner of a company you lack compassion and understanding, don’t care your in business for thirty years I was only telling you that these guys who speak no English was telling me a whole different story about my ac unit . I didn’t drop a few hundred in your store I dropped over 3,000, you dare to speak to me the way you did . When you become widowed you talk to me about life and how your life will change and trust me it doesn’t get easier . The only one who saved this deal is Don he’s a sweetheart, you on the other hand learn customer service . I will never shop at your establishment again . I’m surprised you lasted this long .

Ive only had positive experiences here. Weve purchased our gas stove (Frigidaire - gas range with warming drawer), as well as our TV (Toshiba, passive 3D) at Home Appliance Co. They are accommodating, willing to answer any questions, and helpful even after the purchase. They arent too pushy, especially for a local business, and are willing to show you every option available. They are also very honest, for example, when we purchased the TV, they recommended that we have our contractor, who was already doing work in our house, to mount the TV to save us the money we would have spent on having one of their guys do it. We are thrilled with Home Appliance Co., and will be back to make future purchases.

Stay away from this horrible excuse for an appliance store. They are very nice when they are trying to get the sale but after that it’s all down hill. They will also over bill you for things that are supposed to be included in the price and then lie about and say it wasn’t included and bill you extra for it. Don’t expect any type of service either. Even though Jeff talks about how great his service is, it’s deplorable. Home appliance delivered a stove that was supposed to be brand new and cost almost $10,000 to my home that was scratched up and looked like it was a used product. I had to fight with Jeff for weeks to get it replaced and it was only when I called American Express and stopped the charge that he miraculously said Thermador was coming with a new stove. This would have never happened at a reputable place. Please learn a lesson from me and go to a reputable place like Best Buy or PC Richard and Son.

I had the worst experience and am still suffering because I did not do my homework and believed that a neighborhood business would be honest and fair! What a mistake. I went to Home Appliance to buy kitchen appliances last year and was told by the owner that Electrolux was the best. I should have known better after the owner Jeff talked me into a Magic Chef washing machine which lasted only a year!! This company steers customers to certain brands-not thinking of customer first but thinking of lining their pockets!! This is not the worst part-after they talked me into buying Electrolux applainces-they also talked me into an Extended Warranty-which is the biggest scam that they promote! They told me if I purchase it-I wouldnt have to worry for 10 years and everything would be covered!! As soon as I needed it-it took me a whole day to get someone on the phone and they only use Wind appliance repair from hicksville which gets the worst reviews and is known to rip people off. I could not get anappointment for over a week and this is when my refrigerator smells from gas! After reading the reviews of how they rip people off-I am going to call a private appliance repair with a good reputation. I asked Michele at home appliance to refund me my money for Extended Warranty and she said NO!! I will have to dispute this with media and consumer Affairs because this is a huge scam. they are all horrible there! Years agao when they were in lincoln Shopping Center-they were so nice. this is a different operation now-dont be fooled!!
