Wife was talked into spending over 200 dollars for a pair of.75 reading glasses for my daughter. Picked them up,the tiny area for bifocal is smaller than a fingernail. She is supposed to wear them for bookwork only. She has tried for 2 days and not working. Lady kept claiming this is what eye Dr wanted her to have no line bifocal with no power on the top half. She didnt bother to even tell her the frames are 150 dollars until she got daughter all happy about them thought that they were insurance company approved nope.

Fantastic service, best ever! Dr. Jensen was awesome and her staff is very friendly and helpful. Great teamwork. Gabby was my tech and she did an excellent job with a picky customer. Id give 10 stars!

Very good optometrist, friendly staff. Rachel is a keeper, she assisted me with getting contacts ordered, I had my eye exam done elsewhere, I wasnt pleased with the location, so I chose to try Bard Optical. Im glad that I did. This is what customer service should be like. Im sure Ill shop there again.

Was NOT impressed with the office in LaSalle, IL. The doctor was very unprofessional and his process of an eye exam was dreadful. I have never been thru this experience before at any other place that I have gone in the past. I have been back to that office 3 times now in the past month, and my glasses STILL arent right. My next pair of glasses will be done some where else, for sure. If there were any negative stars, this place would get it. Paying an outrageous price for glasses and still not tight.....😡

I shopped around for new prescription glasses in town (Peoria), and chose to get them from Bard optical despite its higher total cost compared with others because I wanted to support locally-owned businesses. I picked-out the standard, non-designer frames. When I received them, the lenses were ok but the frame qualities sub-par. They came without cleaning cloths or soft bags and in very plain generic cases that are so made-in-china cheap. I expected a Bard Optical marking on them at least for what the glasses sold for. Staff was nice but thin, causing longer waits for service. But the facility was nice and clean.

The doctor was great. Unfortunately nothing else was. After assuring me the check up was covered by my insurance, I left the office only to be inundated with bills from Bard. I contested each one and they promised me they would get it taken care of since it was a mistake. After I received my last bill, OVER A YEAR AFTER THE APPOINTMENT, I called Bard yet again. I spoke to someone who was going to look into the issue further. After a week of hearing nothing from them, I assumed it had been taken care of. NOPE! I got another bill, this one threatening turning me into the credit bureau if not paid. I called AGAIN. They said, oh, they found out my insurance did not cover the bill and I must pay it (after a year of this). When I initially went in for my appointment, I had just switched over to my husbands insurance, which they had trouble bringing up. They finally did and all was well. They are now saying I wasnt on my husbands insurance at the time, which I was. I plan to get my husbands insurance company involved, but really, HAVE I NOT PAID ENOUGH dealing with this? But yeah, if you like being hassled, reassured in vain, and threatened with further action through no fault of you own, go to Bard.

I wish I could tell you how the Dr. was, but I never got that far. I had made an appointment several days before, and showed up early in order to fill out paperwork. My paperwork was done before the appointment time. There were no other customers in the store, so I figured I would be seen quite quickly.Nope.Nearly half an hour past my appointment time, in an empty store I still had not been seen. So I left.If I was a walk-in, I would accept that. If the store had a couple other customers, I would accept that. But I cant accept that in an empty store with an appointment.

Dr. Jensen was fantastic! The office staff got me checked in and seeing the doctor in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend this office now that Dr. Jensen is the main doctor.

To start off with I would like to acknowledge Kimberly, and Dr. Mark. Both did an excellent job of performing their duties. However after being notified that my glasses were in I came to Bard Optical once again. This time the employee did not tell me her name and she was very rude she did not offer to clean my glasses or to fit my glasses however she did clean my wifes glasses she was gone for 15 minutes very odd behavior and my God my wifes glasses were returned smudged and not cleaned. So I managed to get a hold of Jennifer Bohan the district manager for the store. After speaking with her I did not feel that the problem was being addressed effectively. Then I called the Corporate office to speak with Mick Hall, and I was told that he is not taking calls right now after he sent me an email soliciting my response to a customer service at The Bard Optical in East Peoria! So I left a message on the phone with Mick secretary and I also social media on Facebook wrote my Mick Hall, I have yet to receive a response from the man. at this point I have to say that customer service at Bard Optical does not meet the requirements that my insurance demands so I am going to contact my insurance Humana Gold Plus. They will receive a copy of everything that I have done and said to everyone involved at Bard Optical. its the lack of response from the corporate officers that has made me put this at two stars. Where is the concern for the patient this is a health care issue. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I wish I could give them a zero. They claimed my contacts were discontinued. Then put me in a new pair of contacts. Within days I had a severe eye infection in both eyes. I had clearly reacted to the new contacts or solution in them. I had to go to an ophthalmologist and use eye drops for over two weeks. I had several dr appts. This is going to cost quite a bit and Bard does not care at all. Nothing offered to help offset all of this cost. Oh and on top of this I was able through the real eye dr to order my original brand. These people lied to me to get me to buy a more expensive brand and I suffered. They are awful. We called and they did not care one bit.

I had my sons eye check up at this location before his school starts.Huge disappointment! Doctor did not perform thorough check up, she ran through it very quickly. After two months, I am noticing that he is struggling through reading and he has problems with sight. We did check up and paid full amount for nothing!
