Ive had the pleasure of renting here with my husband for about 1 year now. Unfortunately it has come time for us to leave the state so we have to move out. Weve seen so many new faces when we walk into the office but when we walked in to move out, the manager on duty by the name of Wilver, was amazing. Such excellent customer service and just a nice person to chat with overall. I will highly recommend Gude to my peers and make sure that they ask for Wilver!

I came in to look for a 10×30 unit. Unfortunately they did not anything available, but the manager on site by the name of Wilver was amazing. His charismatic character made me feel like he actually cared about my needs and wants. A down to earth man who has amazing people skills. Ill be coming back to rent out a unit because of him.

I do NOT recommend! Just 2 months after using this storage facility the rent increased! Now in less than one year the rent has increase twice- over $50! When I called in, they said this is standard and to expect an increase every 5 months. Well since mine increased 2 months in its concerning. Save your money and look else where. There are also rats in the storage units.

The prices are horrible and they won’t even help you if your things get damaged. If I could I would give it a 0 . The Assistant Manager Natasha and Greg are super great that is the only reason why most of us are still here. Natasha does an outstanding job. But if it was not for her this place wouldn’t be standing. But still it’s a horrible place I wouldn’t Recommended.

I’m still renting a spot for my truck but I received a email letting me know the rent will increase next month I just have 4 months renting there this is not fear I just a new costumer

I would give it zero if i could. The place is dirty, not well run and GROSSLY overpriced. You can rent a unit which is clean, climate controlled, and well located for far less money. They start out at a low rate for a very short time and soon you are paying nearly double. Despite repeated calls to talk to the management, none were returned. DON’T RENT HERE

Dusty drive-up units. Rate increase notices in your mailbox every few months. Cheaper than its big box competitors, but you get what you pay for.

This is my first time renting a unit and Natasha, the Assistant Manager was very friendly and helpful. It’s a great place especially for local short term use.

Management said they were gonna fix this, but it’s been over a month. Back areas of units are piled with random junk and the area is used by patrons as a dumping ground.Way too many trailers and large contractor trucks parked in areas too close to storage units, making it difficult to bring The lot needs to be more discerning of parked vehicles and keep them separate from the storage units.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Oure items now consist of rat/mice droppings all over them. We used this facility for a hold over while we move to our new home and now we have to deal with mice droppings all over our items. Management did not care. Their reply was well, that is why you have insurance. So you can go and file a claim with them. I will never rent from any of their facilities again.

Ive been leasing here for years now and Gude self storage is the best bang for your buck. Its not a climate controlled storage but its a much better value for short or long term rental. The staff is very helpful and attentive to needs and concerns. Dont be fooled into paying more money per month for new flashy buildings, your not living in there your stuff is:)

Rented this unit on SundayReturned on Monday found someone elses lock on itWas told it would be taken care of the next day- TuesdayReturned Tuesday- still locked- I cut the lock and found someone elses stuffIn my unit. The guy shows up and insisted that it is his even though themanager told him it was not and that his was # 2644.I decided to leave my number with the manager and asked for a call when it was handled.Returned today (Wed) after hearing nothing and this time found 3 locks on my unit.I have left several messages today trying get this resolved.I continue to hear nothing.After a few months the gentleman who had his stuff in my unit movedout and I came to see if my stuff was inside, perhaps behind his things.It was not. My stuff disappeared. No one know what happened to it.At one point the manager told me to call the police- which I did.They asked me why I called them.

The best service and pleasant personality to work with

Yesterday, I had the pleasure to be processed by the most courteous and helpful staff in closing my account/storage unit. As a Senior Citizen, the two gentleman were most accommodating in a professional and courteous way. Their knowledge and well mannered approach to the job took me by surprise and made my experience such a relief. Even in these trying times for our society, their concern for safety and cleanliness of the facility took precedence for those they was servicing. In my opinion, Gude Self Storage in Rockville MD is a safe and convenient storage option.

Started out ok but it is a lousy unit, no temperature etc. control and the price is now out of site. Find a nicer cheaper unit

I have leased here at Gude self-storage for many years, and so far, I am very happy with the premises and their professional and attentive management.

Horrible experience! Rude staff, you can`t reach them over the phone - they never pick up. Moreover, additional costs are being added to the bill without any notice or letting us know in advance. We tried multiple times to contact management but never received a call back. I`m definitely moving out of this facility. I can`t be more disappointed. Would not recommend it to anyone.

The least expensive place around and just fine. My unit stays nice and dry. Not climate controlled.

I dealt with the Assistant Manager, Richard Lamb, he was very helpful in getting the size determination correct. Even in these weird times? Richard was unflappably professional. Enjoyed chatting with Richard through the process. A+!

Richard Lamb was so incredible and efficient during our recent rental experience. He provided us with everything we needed to be successful and we are grateful this unit has been the perfect fit for my brother to store his belongings.

I have had a unit with Gude Storage for 4 years. I have had 3 different units. each time I down sized, the staff worked with me. I never felt like it had to be done in one day. I was able to get it moved over a few days. The staff work with you, if you explain what you have going on. I have been able to pull my car in and go through the unit, and it not be a problem.( During the down sizing) The price is right!Ive only had 2 problems, and after speaking with Yvonne, the issue was fixed.Yvonne is one of the kindest people. She is the kinda person, who cares about the customer.

This is the best storage facility that I have ever had to deal with. It was very easy and straight forward to rent the unit. The prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The best part is there was no gimmicks and trying to oversell me stuff. With other facilities they always wanted (hard sale style) to sell me locks or insurance! Thanks Yvonne!

Great hours. Jeffery and Yvonne are easy to work with and with our schedule should things unexpectedly arise. They negotiated very reasonable prices and packages. We even had 5 units at one time. Currently have one.😊

I had a great experience as I walked in to the Gude Self Storage located at 851 E.Gude Dr., Rockville, MD 20850. Mr. Jefferey Dandor Dr. the general manager on duty helped me to go through all the necessary documents and explained carefully the terms and conditions of the contract. The transaction went through smoothly and I will highly recommend this office for future storage needs!

Highly recommend the staff and service. They provide nothing but the best service in a very genuine way. The thing that keeps me from a higher rating is the monthly rate increases. Excellent introductory offers but the rates are increased too frequently after that.

Needed the back door of our unit fixed and they put it off for weeks, without giving a specific date. Once they sent someone to repair the door, it was done very quickly. Otherwise its a good location, the units are clean and spacious, and the service was friendly.

Prices seem reasonable, and the gentleman who assisted me with the rental documents was fast, courteous and professional. So far, so good!

This is by far the worst place.

Gude Self Storage caters to landscaping businesses. If you dont want your items to get full of grass and other lawn debris you do not want to store your items there. They also have an unfair policy of not refunding your payment if you move out early in the month. I even called to let them know I was moving out. My auto payment was charged and they would not credit back the difference.

Had a move in date set and confirmed with the manager the day prior to moving in. On the day of move-in, the manager never showed up and nobody was on-site to let us in. We waited for an hour and left with our trailer still filled. Left several messages and never received any response. There are plenty of other storage options in the area, I would recommend going to one of those.

As a business we use and have used Self Storage Plus for a while now. The management team are always professional and the facilities are clean. I recommend the facility for all your personal and business needs.

Staff are nice, but prices are very very high for a small space. Hours of access are limited. No bathrooms. The worst aspect of the place for me are the extremely small entrance/exit doors to the inside storage units. Very difficult to move things in and out. Moreover, the doors dont stay open, and there are no available doorstops.

Was shopping for storage in Rockville area when I saw Gude self storage with a sign Hot weather cool prices . So I went to check them out and to my surprise prices were indeed reasonable and all the units were drive up and clean -The manager in charge was great at explaining everything and very professional and knows what customer service meant .Will gladly recommend friends and family .
