A life saver! This IKEA was literally a life saver for us. We needed to update our furniture in the house and we could not find anything remotely modern in Austin (other than Copenhagen - $$$$). Then our prayers were answered within a month when IKEA came to Round Rock! Hallelujah! We bought furniture for every room and been happy with it for nearly 15 years now. We are looking to update our kitchen this year and IKEA is our first choice once again. They have the best selection of modern kitchens in my opinion. All the prices are right there for you to see. They have an online planning tool, so you can design your kitchen and see how much the cabinets would cost. They also offer design help where IKEA staff will help you place the cabinets into your space. The only thing I would wish for is that they would offer more cabinet widths varieties. The smallest one they offer is 12” wide and we would lose quite a bit of valuable kitchen storage space because instead of a 9” cabinet, for example, we need to put in fillets. That’s about the only complaint so far (we are still looking and designing). Love IKEA, thank you fir being here for us!
Incredible service. Showed up in an absolute monsoon, backed the car into a delivery spot, and put it in park. Within 3 minutes I had a nice employee opening the trunk, putting our table in, closing the truck and ravishing goodbye with a smile. A+
**this review is only on the plants, I love the furniture and other items Ikea puts out***I bought a Dracaena a few weeks ago from the RR Ikea and it quickly started dying. I was confused because I hadnt over watered it and it started to decline rapidly. Today I went to replant it and found that the pot has HUNDREDS of worms all throughout the pot and in the big planter I set it into. I was HORRIFIED. Please be very careful before buying any plants here.
Great curbside pickup, albeit the app could do better following Targets lead. Nice to see all staff masked.
Usually VERY busy, but went at opening and not crowded. One complaint is there are never enough lines open (probably bc of worker shortage), so be prepared to wait. Otherwise great experience with good products.
Put a mislabeled sink in the clearance section to screw people over. You come to Ikea with your measurements and pick up something that says those measurements. I live south and the Round Rock Ikea is still closer to me than the one closer to San Antonio. 08/23 I found a beautiful sink in clearance and it said it was the Rattviken 32inch showroom model, which matched my measurements so I took it home. It never left my car because it was extremely heavy. Called our handyman friend to come install it but he looked at it and said it was not 32 inches, measured it and its actually 40, which would put the sink going OVER my toilet. I have a small bathroom. Given I live in South Austin, work full time, and am doing school with my son, and this sink was very very heavy, I cant just drop everything and go back to Ikea right away, it did take me two weeks (09/05) to be able to go back with someone who was available to help me carry it into the store (because it stayed in my trunk the whole time) and although it was Ikeas error mislabeling and placing it in the clearance section that way, they refused to take it back. Actually, the girl was just the messenger, the manager didnt even come and talk to me or hear anything out face to face. I think in this case store credit shouldve been given and they shouldve taken the sink back. They didnt. So I asked for the plumbing parts (because the sink did not come with them), so that maybe I can sell it and get my money back. Then they gave me the wrong plumbing parts. I wont be giving Ikea my money anymore. I just recently purchased a queen size bed with storage drawers, a full size bed, a shoe cabinet, two cube storage shelves, a bathroom cabinet, and a bunch of other random stuff in the past month and the same day I went and got this sink. These purchases have been planned out a long time and I saved my money a long time to get all this. Im done spending money at this place.
Awesome experience... Nice palce to visit and shop .. have plenty of things to buy for homeWe can find things ranging from dollar 1 to max we can affordYou can always find something that you wanted for a home...
This was my first time going in Ikea and I must say I love how they had the rooms set up. Great place to shop for small rooms but fit a lot in it. The prices was very very reasonable. Great place to check out for all your Home needs🥰👍
Very clean, nice and the personal was helpful. The only downside was many of the large items we needed werent updated correct on the website or in store inventory. We wanted beds, mattresses and a kitchen table. We had to go with our 2 and 3rd choices once back to pull from the rack because inventory wasnt correct.
It’s IKEA, easy to spend hours lost here. Good thing there’s 2 cafes to rest and refuel at.
Great place to walk inside if raining but showing will power from buying something you feel you could use or never seen before you liked. Good prices, quality and the eating area has great selections.
So IKEA is amazing! Lots of stuff to buy. Ive bought a lot of items at IKEA and theyve all lasted for a long time. The only thing - dont go on weekends, it gets incredibly busy. I usually go after 7/8pm on a weekday
IKEA stuff are all good quality at great prices. By good quality I mean well designed: beautiful and work great, well constructed probably by environmentally sound means. I have IKEA stuff thats over thirty years old and still work great: armchair, dining table, cork trivets, etc.I also love the cafeteria where the food is typically IKEA: taste great and great prices.
Huge variety and selection of furniture and decor. Make sure you have at least 2 hours to walk around the the entire store. Phone service is not good in the store so expect poor reception. You wont need your phone since there is a lot to see. Food is available halfway through the store and by the checkout area. Their warranty is amazing. You can return items even after a year. The bad side to ikea is that furniture doesnt last long however the prices are just perfect.
Great stuff. Really enjoy this store as we live in an rv full time. Would have given a 5 star but they did not have their Swedish meatballs.
Impossible to get answers from anyone regarding warranties over the phone. Waited over 1 hour on hold on 2 separate occasions and they told me to the store. My issue was specifically with a HAUGSVÄR mattress which has 25 year warranty however keep in mind you NEED the receipt (which I was able to eventually get) and the mattress cannot have any stains. Unfortunately my mattress had a stain (unsure what it was from due to the mattress being used in a guest bedroom). Although I was not trying to claim the stain I was trying to claim a manufacturer defect they did nothing to help. My suggestion is if you buy a mattress from IKEA keep your receipt, make sure to use a mattress protector and make sure you live near an IKEA because the warranty process is done in store only. I live about 40 minutes away and will just avoid ever purchasing a mattress from IKEA. I’ve attached pictures and just being transparent the mattress is 4 years old but it was kept in a guest bedroom so it was probably used in total less than 1/2 of those 4 years. The bulging and damaged springs were on one side of the mattress as well as the bottom.
I have always loved ikea, giving 4 stars because one has to meander through the entire store to get to the restaurant or warehouse to purchase goods.
I could care less about all the stuff they sell but my wife loves it. But the restaurant- simply amazing! Id go every day if I could.
I love Ikea. Great products, good prices and lots of variety. I cant go there without buying something. Im a teacher and go there every year for furniture and supplies for my classroom. Love it!
Interesting shopping experience! Good selection of wide variety of home goods. Displays give good ideas. Hard to understand how to buy something off the floor and setup of store makes you walk ALOT 🚶♀️ and feels like a maze.
Love it!! Modern unique design, which aare not too expensive, great selection of goods. Specially things for organizing & decorating your home can be find cheaper.
Love this store now that I found out how to take the short cuts to what I need. They should make those short cuts more noticeable for first timers. The best time to go here is doing the week…less people and the lines are shorter.
It never fails to amaze me how I walk in there and always have a moment where Im lost. However, I do love how this place is all about giving ideas (a visual) into how your own home could look. I always end up purchasing something (big or small) on my way out.
Went to get my daughter some bar stools for her new apartment. Love this store. Prices seemed to have gone up a lot. And a large section they were changing stuff and had curtains up to block it. Never been there when they did that.
Ive lived in the Austin/Round Rock area for over 40 years but this is only my second time to shop inside IKEA. My first visit was right after they opened just to see what they were all about. This will likely be my last visit for another few years. Its not that they dont have a lot of really cool stuff for inexpensive prices. The shear size of the store plus the inability to walk directly to the section of interest is impossible. You are forced to navigate through the serpentine maze of various departments, even before ever getting the opportunity to get a shopping cart. Again, I love the products and prices but think theres plenty room for improvement in the way shopping carts are placed and distributed. Maybe Ill stick to shopping online at this store...
I have always loved Ikea and have never had a bad experience until as of recent. The commercials advertise you have 365 days to return a product with the slogan “It’s okay to change your mind”. Come to find out it’s only for unopened unused items which was a surprise to me because I’ve done several returns close to 365 days that were USED. I had rented a Uhaul and drove from another city to return my couch within the supposed return policy and Brett the manager at returns did not do anything to accommodate or do a onetime exception for the misunderstanding after I had waited over 45 minutes for him to come talk with me. Brett the manager and Mandi the associate at returns were very rude and mean. I was very disappointed and will not return to Ikea again due to this horrible experience.
I love this place! First of all, I find their expo to be a great inspiration. Second of all, you can test everything out. The prices are ok too, quite often you can find very reasonably priced pieces.Even their cafe is quite good - you can find seafood and vegetarian options with very affordable prices.Quite a lot of parking space, so parking should not be an issue. My only complaint is that the store is far away from my place - but thats very subjective concern :)Overall I do recommend visiting and exploring IKEA - Im sure there is something for everyone in store!
Had never been before. Really cool store. Great stuff, fair prices and gave me a ton of ideas for my home too
Frickin love this place amazing and unique store
Its an IKEA! Frankly, Ive been to multiple IKEAs in the US and the experience is essentially exactly the same. (Not a fault per sey, just a matter of fact!) The staff are very helpful and polite, and the furniture is affordable considering the quality and appearance of most items.
They have everything you want for your house.Great Prices...Best Hot Cinnamon Rolls ever!A Great Big Store.Plan on being there at least 3 or 4 hours to see it all.
Underwhelmed. Its been years since I have been. I remembered great deals on poor quality furniture mostly made of particle board but fashionable. When did particle board with self assembly cost so much? I guess before Wayfair and dozens of other options, this was the way to go if you didnt want to pony up for solid wood, but I would rather shop from my computer and have it arrive at my door than meander a warehouse.
Good location, but isnt in the best condition. Some of the furniture is messy but I cant complain too much. I do wish it had more workers to help. If you go past 7 pm it feels like youre locked inside one of those mirror rooms with no escape.
Gotta say even though I was not the customer, my visit was overall, very pleasant. Very friendly staff. As like other IKEA, prices are very affordable. Keep up the great work.
I have shopped here a couple times and normally the experience is fine. Other than sometimes they will show they have something in stock when they dont. However, last night I ordered 4 chairs and a shelf online. Paid for it and everything. Drive 30 minutes to the store and come to find out they couldnt find the chairs. So I only get the shelf. No call or anything to make sure I wanted to make the drive for just the shelf. Now I have to wait several days for my money back and wasted my time and gas. No offer to make anything right for the inconvenience. Just get told sorry I wasnt notified because they were really busy.
Poor selection. Nearly every item I have went into the store to purchase is out of stock. Try to order online, no delivery options available. Ive shopped at Ikea in Seattle, Carson, Orange County. Round Rock is way below each of those. Its nice to have an Ikea in the area, just dont expect everything you see online to actually be available there.
You can spend an entire day here. Its addictive to be in the show room and planning what are the Best options for your house/department. The prices are fair and you can find almost anything.
This IKEA is very close to Austin compared to other one in Kyle,Texas. The shop is very big and would take atleast have a day to have an entire tour of the shop. Its gonna be very long walk as well so be prepared and hydrated to take a stroll. As IKEA brand implies, the furniture are of very good quality but most of them are to be self assembled( instructions are attached). Also happen to know that IKEA assistance shall be available over call/in person in case of any difficulty in assembling the furniture. ( Call service is free but in person is charged).
EDIT: Using Ikea delivery wasnt a happy experience. Delivery service contacted me via auto phone and narrowed delivery to four hours not 12 as originally stated. The delivery men were in and out fast, no problems, they did good. I was given about five minute alert by auto phone delivery was imminent. Had I not been home Id missed the truck. Miss the delivery and you pay for a second attempt. I had attempted to contact Ikea using the phone number given and encouraged to call for assistance. A waste of hold time, talk aint going to happen. Its all about Ikea and you could just drop dead. Never say never, but I cant imagine ever buying anything from Ikea I cant carry or drag to my vehicle. Even then Ill think twice. Enjoy...!
Very organized, easy to maneuver through and AMAZING competitive prices! Amazon has similar items but the price point is always four times higher! I love love love IKEA!!! It has transformed thefragrantfarmhouse!!!This is a picture of my little pantry that needed some serious help! And after my ikea trip!
It was my first time at IKEA and was amazing! You can find everything for your home ❤️
Very very very understaffed. They were redoing large portions of the store.
The restaurant here is actually really good! The salmon salad and chocolate cake is amazing. Of course there is more to see but the food is good.
Great selection at cheap prices. However, dont lose your receipt! They dont allow returns at all without a receipt, no matter how recent the purchase. You can, however, call an 800 number if you know all the details of the transaction and get it back. The door lady wont tell you this, though.
As long as you have a game plan no relationships will end today! You can browse a little but know what youre going for so you arent trapped wandering forever. Also I wish their restaurant was open they have the most BOMB meat balls. Love them.
My car was keyed up by another customer and I followed their security protocol all for nothing. The security team sucks and they have no cameras in their parking lot and the insurance is no help at all. I would not recommend anyone shop their if you like your vehicle and belongings. GHETTO!
Restaurant was tasty and friendly and efficient. Stock is rather uninspired and uninteresting at the moment.
This store is an adventure, so wear your walking shoes. My kids had so much fun in the store they asked to go back. They have two different places to eat at inside the place in the middle of the store is a little bit more on the pricey side. The one in the front of the store has a selection for kids like hot dogs and slushes. It takes about two hours to truly walk throughout this store. It’s a short yer time if you already know what your looking for.
Love this place. This is my and my wife favorite place to shop for the furniture, home decor you name it. It has huge selections with a resonable and affordable price.
The products have immense variety, I was able to find everything I needed and the staff helped me a lot.
Especially like all the new ideas you see when shopping. Food was okay but the sitting was what I was after at this point.
I love this Ikea. Friendly staff and their kid center make it easy to shop here. I can drop my son at their in store hour long daycare and go pick up what I need. I really enjoyed finding inspiration for my kitchen remodel here and will continue to come back to this Ikea.
Ikea has done a really good job of adapting their space to make it easy to keep a safe distance from others and still enjoy browsing the product displays.
Jenny is amazing! so helpful and kind. this is a great store with very helpful, attentive staff.
First time visiting this furniture store. Was amazed of all the furniture in one store. The set up of the store presents you with different ideas of how items will look in a room. From kitchen to bathroom. Am getting ready to buy a new home and will be coming back here for ideas and furnishings. 5 🌟s
Setting aside the obvious - that being the stuff sold here is relatively nice at an affordable price. This is a great date destination. There are so many stimulating environments that present countless subjects for discussion. I have many memories from different times associated with exploring the wilds of Ikea - and I dont think my experience is unique. If you go make sure to stop at the café and try the pink cakes and the lemon cakes. I would go for just these two items alone. They make my tastebuds explode.
Its ikea! What can be bad about a place that shows you unique ways to set up your bedroom? As I was walking through the rooms, someone said ikea should come to my house and design my bedroom!I felt the same way! Its so easy in Ikea... so much harder at home :)
Love the store, don’t get me wrong. But if you’re thinking about ordering anything, don’t. I’ve been rescheduled 4 different times, left on hold for 30 minutes (still never got ahold of them so I hung up), paid $50 for shipping, and still don’t actually know when my order is coming. Why promise your online service is better when it’s not? I should’ve just driven the hour and a half to pick my order up myself but Jesus y’all.
A very useful place for me and my family. But the safety is questionable… There are sanitizing stations, but you see them very rarely, and there no “no-touch” policy or something like that, so it is a covid warehouse. And lastly, it is in a very remote location. If it were more close to the city it would more successful.
Overall, being in Ikea stores stresses me out, theyre way to huge. However, the staff is amazing! Theyre so friendly and helpful, especially when picking out cabinets. They make the trip to the store worth it.
Made a large pick up order which needed a lift to get up the 3rd floor of a house I am furnishing. After I drove all the way up, had my order loaded up - got it up the lift and paid someone to assemble I come back the next day to see almost half of my items were missing. The lift had already been returned and this became a huge issue. I was upset to say the least. IKEA made things right for the mistake, and I think that is a true way to judge a business. It was a major inconvenience but they did what they could and I appreciate this.
Ive never been to a place with so many things out of stock. Patio chairs must be a hot item right now.
Very busy place most of the time I cant find items or they are out of stock
The store layout is easy to maneuver and find what you need/where to go.
Awesome store! I love the way the showroom is set up to give ideas!
Absolutely love shopping here. Great products and ridiculously reasonable prices. 👌
We enjoy shopping here. Love the prices on items and we always bwalk out with more than we came for. A little trouble bat checkout and the cashier at self checkout seemed bothered.
One could say that not all IKEA stores are the same but they are all very similar in many aspects and sometimes one can appreciate the consistency. Furnished an entire 2 bedroom apartment here and all for under $1,000 you really cannot beat its quality at the price point. Also love the cafe and concessions!
Wife loves this place and I hate their carts haha. Cant go wrong with the affordable options and different ideas this place has to offer.
Ikea is a place where I can stay all day. Its so beautiful, clean, family-friendly, and organized. The food in the cafe was delicious! We stayed for hours because its the kind of place that makes your dreams come true.
Lots of room to roam. Innovative, unique items. Love IKEA!
Very well organized and not very busy most days. Less one star for the kitchen cabinets we ordered kept getting delayed and redesigned.
Lots to look at because the store is huge. If youre looking for fine furniture this isnt the place for you. Its functional furniture and decor and most furniture is a project to put together on your own. Thats the downside for me.
First single story Ikea Ive been to. Once you learn the slightly different layout its just as good as any other Ikea.
Staffs are so kind and helpful ☺ smooth experience of the refund process.
Great as always! I was actually struck by the fact that the employees were in such a good mood while having to work Christmas eve. If you dont get to hear it often, youre appreciated!
My wife loves this place. It makes her happy. I get stuck with having to assemble everything, but it is what it is.
This place is great, everything you need for your house or apartment is here. The restaurant is nice, but the menu on the weekends is very limited. I personally like the meatball plate with veggies. I had a great time not only for shopping, but also the walk is quite an exercise. Not only you get what you need, but also you get some exercise as well. I reccomend this place.
The first time we did furniture delivery through ikea was a breeze and very convenient as it was sent to us next-day. The next time was not as good an experience; this was a smaller package delivery that took about a month to arrive in Austin. When received, one of our items was broken and we were missing 4 items as well. We were not contacted nor refunded for the missing items. I stayed on hold for 15min on the customer service line before being hung up on without answer; second time for about 20 min before getting transferred to someone else. Your only other options for getting customer service are the online chat line, which is always It looks like my friends are busy assisting other customers, or going in-person. Now I know not to order online again as it is hit or miss.
I found some awesome kitchen stuff, but I dont think I will be going back. I dont like mazes like that. Are we at the exit yet, nope keep walking the maze.
Got a lot of good stuff. Wear your Fitbit. You will easily make your 10k steps and will likely be ready for a nap when you leave.
Everything we wanted was out of stock. Every. Single. Thing.
Round Rock Ikea is difficult to get to get to. Not the Ikea location to go if youre easily irritated. Kinda run down, reminds me of an At Home vibe.
Love this store and purchased a lot of items including furniture and kitchen & bathroom items. I like their cafeteria where there are kids zone and free coffee for members and food there are nice!
Jenny in home organization was super helpful in taking me to exactly what I was looking for.
Cashier is incapable of letting you know that you got the wrong product, even though he clearly puts the number of it in the cupon.Very unprofessional customer service. Took about 20 min to hear from them. When I asked if there was any chance of them getting the correct package exchanged at home, instead of saying something like Im sorry, it is not out policy, or, for that you would have to pay a fee; the woman said was it our fault?.
Ordered online for a click & collect pick up and the process was seamless & very efficient!! It was a major closet remodel with over 46 boxes and had to go in and grab a few last minute adds. Ron was such a huge help helping me load and rework all of the boxes, ensuring they all fit! It was a lot of work, but he knew I drove a long way and wasn’t giving up on getting it all in my SUV! Thank you, Ron at Round Rock Ikea!!!!
Ikea is good, I dont need to right a review for that. The disappointing part of this Ikea was that there were very few associates on floor to help answer questions and a lot of things were out of stockDrove 30 mins to come back dissatisfied wasnt great
Ikea has not refunded my $145 for a Click and Collect order I placed over 2 months (placed on 6/4 and cancelled on 6/6/21 because all the parts didnt come in). Ive called multiple times spending a lot of time on hold and giving the same information to the Reps and no credit as of yet. Tonight I called again, waiting over half an hour for a Rep and Donna finally came to the line and immediately hangs up on me before I had a chance to give her my case number! I have only one recommendation to ever! lesson learned, I will never order something unless all pieces are in. If something goes wrong, they resist giving you a credit but theyre very prompt in charging your credit card.
