Excellent place. Cars where both the youngest and cheapest cars I could find! Extremely satisfied with their service and help with last minute items. Hope to go there again when Im ready for a new car in 5-10 years. Highly recommend!
Des Plaines location transferred my title while I was on a test drive, before I’d signed anything or said I wanted it. When I said I didn’t he got upset & said there was nothing he could do, I’d have to go to the DMV. He’s also mentioned said a refund would take 8 weeks but when I called corporate they said 4. Very unprofessional & still waiting for a $200 check from them 3 months later that the regional manager said I’d get.

Horrible! I purchased a vehicle in the middle of June and what a horrible experience! The salesman Steve was extremely unorganized. So now we are over a month past and my previous loan on my trade in still has not been paid off. I’ve called the store every week to ask the status of my previous loan pay off. Tim with their finance department said corporate was behind. But that I had nothing to worry about. After a week of my loan still not being paid off I called and left Tim a detailed voice message. He NEVER called back!So now a week later I called back again and Steve the original sales representative answered the phone. I explained to him that I needed to speak to finance. He asked what the problem was. After explaining it to him he raised his voice and said “What’s the problem?” “Your loan will be paid off” “Don’t pay the required payment!” “The loan is now in our name!” Which is not true! Then I was hung up on.So here we are more than a month has past and my previous loan has not been paid. I’ve had to pay two car payments for a vehicle I no longer own.Finally, this morning I was able to get a hold of Tim who said it should have been paid by now. I asked for a corporate contact. Which I was not given. Tim said he would call me back in an hour...Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY! Pay the extra money and go to a dealership where your treated like a human. This place is far from being professional. In fact they should not be in business.Extremely unhappy with the entire experience.
I’m not able to give zero stars so had to put one. Purchased a car from Hertz car sales in Schaumburg three days ago. The car is hesitating to start. Looked in my paperwork and I’ve noticed wrong odometer reading was put on my paperwork. I believe that was deliberate and fraudulent. Attempted to contact the dealership today, Mr. Scheimer who sold me the car is not available to talk to me now. Not friendly and helpful like before the sale. Referred me to someone else there and I never received a call back. All the negative reviews on here are for a reason. Think before you purchase here, they are not honest.
Got a car for my daughter good service, no negotiation and friendly knowledgeable. I like them better than carmax better cars good deal with extra warranty. Definitely will buy from them again.
I went to this location to see a car, there was a notice on the door that they would not take walk-ins that you would have to schedule an appointment over the phone. There was no notice of this online, and when I tried calling I was put on hold until they hung up on me. When trying to call back they would just immediately hang up the phone.
I want to share my disappointment with this dealership. I put my trust in them to be HONEST. They falsely listed a vehicle. They not only lied about the type of vehicle in a listening, they led me to believe I was purchasing a luxe versus the lower end model the entire time until I called them out on their honesty. We wasted 3 hours of our time being led to buy what we thought and was the luxury model. I asked the general manager to call me back as my credit took a hit with inquiries due to their negligence. I’ve given them almost a week to contact me. NO CALL BACK!!! And to top it off they still have not corrected the listing. They are trying to lie to others to “lure” them in to buy something else or get them to fall for their lack of honesty. I don’t deal with dishonest businesses. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

Originally I was excited to have purchased my 2017 Sonata from this establishment. The car itself operates very smoothly and I haven’t had any issues with the car. The issue is with the title and documentation process. I am in tears at this point. I have tried 3 times to get my title and refrigeration completed at my local BMV, however each and every time I am told the documents I was given were missing something or inaccurate. I purchased the car on 6/4/2020 and in today 7/22/2020 I have been told once again by the BMV that the documentation I have had an error. I live in IN and purchased the car in IL. When I purchased the car I paid the taxes and was advised that the dealer would file the title work. I checked on myBMV.IN.org faithfully so I could do a transfer of my old plate to this new vehicle. Oddly, this 2017 Sonata wasn’t showing up. I went to the BMV and they advised there has not been anything sent to the state with the vehicle VIN # that I purchased. I called Hertz and was told the corporate office never filed it. Okay, so at that point they sent me a FedEx overnight copy of the Title documents. Cool, so I went to the BMV again and they tell me since I paid taxes at the time of purchase I would need an ST-556 form. So, I left again with nothing accomplished. Call Hertz and they email me the form to sign since they forgot to have me sign it when I first purchased the car. Okay, I go to the BMV a 3rd time! I am told the dealer name on the ST-556 form and the title work are different and they need a one in the same affidavit! The form has HCS Schaumburg and the title has The Hertz Corporation. I tried to explain that they are the same, but they need documentation. I called Hertz crying and the manager Tim said to me the Corp office is closed and can’t get me the document until Monday, which is 2 days away. He also said I should have told them the names are the same. He was very nonchalant and showed no empathy. I am beyond frustrated and I just want this to all be over with! I will never purchase from Hertz again in any capacity.
Absolutely terrible. As a elite member of Hertz the service and condition of the car I received was unacceptable. Staff obviously not happy with their job. Mundane attitude and a complete disinterest in the customer.The car was dirty, touch points were all sticky, and windows were all dirty. I will never rent from this location again.
I spent a lot of time searching for a used car and went to many used car dealers during this time. I eventually ended up with Hertz Car Sales in Schaumburg and found the car I wanted, for the price I wanted. The team exceeded all expectations. Not only were they not trying to rip me off like 90% of the others, but they stayed after business hours and picked me up from the train station to make it all work. 8 months later, I am still extremely happy with the car I got. I always tell all my friends to go there.
After being there once before, with no luck getting the car I wanted. I went back, sadly the car I wanted was being sold right as we walked in. Stephanie, showed us two other cars, she was amazing. The best car sales person Ive ever met. While we waited, she stayed with us and talked with him. The manager came by when she went to eat her dinner, we were there after closing. Tim, the finance manager got is the most amazing deal. Everyone there was so nice. Id recommend this place to anyone.
No pressure, friendly, and professional experience. Stephanie was helpful and knowledgeable and let me take a couple of test drives. No pressure to upsell into a more expensive car, but seemed happy to show me other cars if I still wasnt sure. Purchase process was quick and easy -- no haggling required.EDIT: We just bought our second car here and had the same positive experience as before. We had an appointment with Jim, who was friendly, informative, low-pressure, and transparent with the pricing and process.
Stephanie was excellent! She made our car buying experience a breeze, from initial phone call until we drove off the lot. I could not thank her enough! Our whole experience was the best by a mile compared to two other places weve been to. I highly recommend, and in the future if the need arises I will be back!

I sent my wife out to buy a Car. She cameback so happy I was amazed. She had a fabulous sales person Jim Scheiner who went above and beyond the call of duty. He was personable, polite, honest and so knowledgeble about the car I was looking at. Within 2 hours everything was accomplished. She was so happy and couldnt believe how well she was treated by Jim. Tomas Lozano and his support team were excellent while I was there. Tomas was extremely friendly and helpful while I tested and signed all papers. He called me a few days later to ensure everything was working well and I told him about two minor issues, for which he granted assistance and his team repaired them the next day. Overall, I recommend the patience from Tomas and his team.
I only go to hertz for cars now. Dealerships are a joke. The salesman here was extremely nice, didn’t harass us like dealerships do, and even gave us a ride home (since the car we wanted ended being removed from their system).

Buying a car from Hertz was a great experience! We got a great deal on a newer car, the sales people there are very friendly and helpful, and you do not feel the pressure from them as you do in other dealerships. I am very happy with the car we purchased and Stephanie Z is a wonderful sales person!

Tomas was so helpful. My mom didnt know much English and I was so glad he knew spanish. He explained everything to my mom that way I didnt have to translate. I purchased the car less than a year ago and had nothing but problems. Their certification and warranty is a joke. I think if it starts then it passes the certification test. In less than a years time Ive had to get the tires re-balanced then replaced and no the transmission. They wont warranty my car or even help because Im over the 12000 mile limit. It seems to me that they indeed sold a lemon and could care less. Lesson learned. Go somewhere else!
A seemingly nice group of men sold me a very horrible car. It has broken down three times in four months. Warranty is horrible. When I called to explain my frustrations, I recieved some very disappointing customer service. The man kept comparing me to his wife and how he would have told her this is just her Irish coming out. I am extremely doubtful that wouldve been said to a man. They gave me the run around. My husband called and suddenly they apologized for our troubles and offered us a couple hundred on the massive amount of money we have had to put back into the car. This was a lie though. When the mechanic tried to call back to get that agreement, they put him on hold and switched lines on him for almost an hour. Disgraceful professionalism, disappointing human nature, and an all around horrible experience. Go somewhere else.
Confirmed the car I was interested in was still there that morning, they assured me it was. Went there a couple hours later and they then informed me it was sold yesterday and sometimes they dont update their computers. The lady who helped was rude and it seemed like helping customers was a burden to her and like the last thing she wanted to be doing.
YOU DONT GET SECOND KEYS TO VEHICLES!!!! Rosa promised my husband a second key to his car during the negotiation of the purchase only to find out 6 months later that they do not provide spare keys. Spoke to the Manager and he decided to argue that she never said such a thing and that my husband was a liar even though he was not privy to the conversation had by his salesperson. This is totally bait and switch and something like this has ruined the whole car buying experience for us. Please DONOT purchase from these people as they are liars and crooks and I will be writing the Attorney Generals Office ASAP as they should cover the cost of a new key!!
LEMONS FOR SALE! Spread the word. Dont purchase from here! They advertise protection,but its extremely limited. Someone shouldnt have to purchase premium coverage to feel secure in making a car purchase. How about HERTZ sell quality cars? I havent had the car two months and Im already having issues!!? Aaron,and the rest of the crooked crew are extra nice when youre purchasing. However,once you drive off the lot your S.O.L. Aaron basically told me this in so many words. For the price of the car and the warranty you can buy NEW. Save yourself the headache and frustration.

I went today with my family to shop for a car.i wanna share my experience with this guy JIM SCHEINER .His very professional and accomodating to our needs,he was very patient and went above and beyond on costumer service, mind you we just came from toyota elgin last night and the guys there are not even half as humble and nice as Jim. His very sincere and not pushy just to sell.& earn money.He listen to our needs and wants and tried to accomodate us.He made us feel we have choices and his willing to help,He lays out everything for us and all our options .He made #Hertz reputation up there so high like set a high bar standard on all other dealer or car sales.He gave us history of hertz and how hertz take only the best car they have and i feel it through his words and action.He is also concern about us and he understood that the car we wanted was a little over budget on us and i cant finace until after we close the house so he knows were waiting on buying.Left without a car but with a happy heart.some people out there are still dedicated not only to the company they work at but as well as the costumers satisfaction.He even walk us out the door though we wont home without a car and means he doesnt have a sale.His amazing....Yes my experience or may i say our experience was beyond amazing.I didnt go home with a car yet because we will close our house march.god bless you and hertz.your an amazing man i hope there more people like u.God bless to you and to hertz ....thank uujuu

We are ruled by the forces of chance and coincidence.Yesterday morning I felt I was in control when I was on my way to Toyota in Schaumburg. I called before I drove there and asked specifically if they had the Uber leasing program which they assured me they did and I told them I would be on the way. Long story short--I was given the wrong information and drove from Chicago basically for nothing...well, maybe not...I noticed a big yellow Hertz sign on the way and it was literally next door and I said to myself, I will try this place out since they were on the list too. (Sudden and unexpected). I was welcomed by Larry. He got me to test drive a vehicle. He was very friendly, professional and a straight shooter from the jump, and I found that to be refreshing. After the test drive, it may have been the quickest and easiest car sale transaction in my car buying life!! The other guys Tim and Tom were very friendly as well. They werent pushy and fictitious as you tend to see a lot with Sales people.Meeting Larry was not coincidence. It was just my lucky day. He is fantastic and I recommend him to anyone looking to purchase/lease a car either for personal/Uber. Thanks for everything Larry!!! You are the BEST!!!

I bought my car on Friday July 28th. I took the car home that day with the expectation that the tail light casing and the leather imperfection would be fixed on Aug 2. I was told to come in Wednesday morning. So I took Wednesday morning off work. When I called later, they then informed me that Vince, the store manager, had misspoke, and the leather specialist does not come in until between 12-1. I was told to come in at 12:30. When I came in Vince had forgotten to order the tail light casing, and promised that he would do so. The leather specialist was 90 minutes late, and no one informed me of how long I would be waiting, or why. I then took my car for a wheel alignment, as Vince told me to do. He neglected to tell me that I would have to LEAVE MY CAR FOR 4 HOURS. So I had to pay for a cab. I called back on 8/7 later after hearing nothing in regards to the tail light casing. ( I was supposed to receive a call either Aug. 2 or 4). Neither Vince or Stephanie had ordered the part. AGAIN. I lost a day of pay, the money for a cab fare, and roughly 3 hours of my time due to pure incompetence.
Rose was very professional, straightforward and efficient. I ended up not buying the vehicle but I would definitely go back if a similar vehicle became available.
Got a used car from them and the agent helped identify all the scratches and chips on the vehicle. Really pleasant experience.

I bought a used car. I got the car fax and tested it. Two weeks later there was a noise in the front end. Turns out the car was in a front end crash and they never reported it. They just jimmy rigged the suspension.

Had an awful experience with Hertz. Purchased a car here and 4 months later we are looking to sell it because it wont start. Took it to the dealer 4 times and they couldnt fix the issue, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere as the car we purchased will likely end up at auction.
