I have been sleeping in my contacts for a while and needing glasses. So today I took the step I have been neglecting and went for my exam to at the South East Eye Specialist and Hour Glass. I was greeted with a warm welcome at the front desk and perfectly assisted with my paperwork. I was offered the option to check out glasses while awaiting my turn to go back. “Joel” assisted me with perfection. The first moment he was allowed, he acknowledged my presence looking for glasses. Joel was exceptional when it comes to customer service. My lady friend and I were both pleased. Joel deserves a raise!!!!!
I provided them with my vision coverage and the scam that they provide is this, quoting them, The exam is $150 if you use the insurance, or $89 if you self pay. Please tell me why I bothered getting vision coverage through my company if eye examiners like this are just going to create whatever pricing they do to get around ever having anyone be able to justify using vision coverage?I wont ever return to them, with or without insurance. Nothing but a scam in my opinion.
I took my 6 and 2 year old to the Capital Circle NE location, first of all, we where scheduled during lunch hours when no one was at the office so door was locked when we arrived for our appointment. They say that they see young children. But they asked if my 2 year old son was autistic since he wouldnt sit through an exam that you would do for a 5 or 6 year old. They clearly do not see young children, and then mock if you have seen a specialist before and they will claim that the specialist didnt get an accurate read because they themselves have no idea what to do with a two year old. They then told me that I have to come back once a year so my son gets used to the equipment, and that his prescription was good for 5 years. Prescriptions last at most 2 years for adults, and children can have changes within 3 to 6 months, so that was ridiculous and they where just trying to give me an excuse since they didnt know what they are doing. This office is a joke. Do yourself a favor and take your children to see Brian Sherman or Francis Skilling, they have the back ground and qualifications to see children. Eye problems can start early, even 6 months old. You are your childs best advocate.
