Five star experience at Baxter Eye Care every time. I have been going to Dr Michelle Shosa for several years now and take my children to her as well. We all love her. She’s great w all ages, isn’t pushy on getting glasses or anything else if you’re on the edge of needing Vs not needing corrective lenses, and she’s wicked sharp about what she does. She found a slight astigmatism in one of my eyes a few years back that previous optometrists had missed and the change to my prescription was very helpful. The staff are equally wonderful. Whether it’s front desk staff, or techs that help with some aspect of the exams or fittings, the folks at Baxter Eye Care have always been very friendly and easy to work with. They’re also great about informing you of rebates to help save on contacts, and have a great selection of glasses & sunglasses for adults and kids. I highly recommend this clinic for all eye health care needs for anyone of any age.

Initial visit and follow up appointment was great then the service went downhill from there. I was doing trials on a couple of powers with contacts and was told to call no appointment needed to order what power was best for me. I called and was told I was never given the power I wanted so basically calling me a liar. I was told they would have to have Dr Shosa look into it and I would get a call back that day. Well after 2 weeks of no call back I called back and the lady looked in my file and could see the power I was requesting in the notes. I said I want to order my year supply and then was told unfortunately the doctor won’t be in until next week to sign off on the prescription. I said this was to be done 2 weeks ago. Now I’m getting really mad! I asked them to order another set of trials until the doctor could sign the prescription. I went to pick up my trials and I asked to order my 1 year supply of contacts from the lady that helped me on the phone 4 days prior she could not remember our conversation from that day and told me she couldn’t order them because the doctor has not signed the prescription. Having to ask 3 different times to order my contacts is unacceptable!! I called back the next day to talk to the manager and still got the run around about ordering them. I told her I want my signed prescription so I can take my business elsewhere and she says well you will have to wait another day until the doctor is in the office. After 5 weeks I finally got my prescription and I will never be using them again. I’m in healthcare as well and if I did what they did I would have been fired!! Patient care should be the most important thing for their practice!

Dr. Baxter is professional and thoughtful in her approach to patient care. I would highly recommend her to those patients who are truly concerned for getting the best eye care available in The Woodlands.

Poor customer service! They dont take appointments, so we have to wait more than an hour! It gets crowded, no social distancing and no masks!

My experience with Dr Daniels is always great. I was somewhat surprised however that the front desk staff were not wearing masks. I thought all medical offices were required to take precautions for everyone.

Lets just say, this company takes pride in being a Christian company.. However, their attitudes and demeanor show differently; especially coming from Heather.. she has worked there for years and each year that I come in she is always unprofessional, moody and seems to be annoyed with each and every patient. I came in January and they had quoted me a price that I couldnt afford at the time. I asked the girl at the front desk if I would get charged a no show fee because I wasnt aware that my benefits had changed. I asked her if she could bill my insurance and take the amount I could afford to pay and if not was I going to be charged a fee She told me, no I couldnt be seen and not pay the full amount but they most definitely will not charge me for a no show. Today, Kim and Amanda informed me of the charge and I explained the situation and Heather (whom is always of a bipolar like attitude wouldnt let me speak to Dr. Baxter and said that was her policy. As far as I am concerned, Heather is not management.. and I have gone to this company since I was about five years old. That being said, they will lose my business and my families. Along with all else whom ask me for a recommendation with eye care. Usually, you would think a company wouldnt want to lose a patient who has been going to them for decades.. especially one that takes pride in being a christian company. My recommendation to this company is take a huge look at staff and realize all the patients she has effected and that they are losing solely based on her attitude.

Visited the Baxter practice and was seen by Dr. Shosa. The initial exam was comprehensive, a bit more involved than my previous provider. Shosa took time to assess my current frame/lens combo and explained that they were not necessarily the optimal choice due to distance from eyes, placement, size of lenses etc.Additionally she was active after the exam with Mr. Dustin (thank you Sir) to show me frames that could hopefully achieve a better corrected vision result than what I am currently using.Looking forward to seeing how my new frame/lens combo works.Initial impressions of the Baxter practice are very positive and recommended.

Everyone is so helpful and accommodating. We were given the best care. Picking glasses out was so easy and both of my children were taken care of at the same time for both the exam and to order glasses. It was AMAZING!

Initially: Great experience with the appointment and doctor. I was seen within 5 minutes of arrival and it was quick and easy ordering my lenses for my glasses. Very quick and efficient.The only reason I give them a 3 is because they told me my lenses would be done in a week and its going on 3 weeks and I still havent heard back. I called last week and they said it would definitely be back by Monday (today) but nobody has called. This is week 3 now and still no word. I dont mind the wait but I would appreciate someone reaching out to me with an update instead of me having to call each time asking what the status is.

My 5 year old son went for his annual check up today. He has ASD. The staff and Dr. Daniels were extremely patient with him. I really appreciated that. I totally recommend this place and Dr. Daniels. My niece began to see her after our first visit and she loves her, too!

Start to finish, my experience at Baxter Eye Care was excellent. My benefits were looked up on the spot and clearly explained to me as they related to my needs. All their equipment was modern... no more puffs of air in the eye! 😊. The techs and front desk ladies were really friendly. And Dr Shosa was awesome. Super friendly, sharp, and clearly at the top of her game. She detected a slight astigmatism the last time I saw her and following up this year which had been missed by a prior eye doctor I’d seen, saw that it had worsened a little, and knew *exactly* the type of contact lenses that would be best, feel most similar to what I’d been using, and was super thorough on explaining how to put them in, care for them, etc. But best of all, she was phenomenal at suggesting eye glass frames that would compliment the shape of my face. I normally struggle to find frames I like, but she quickly was able to help me find a couple of frames that looked great and suggested a pair of sunglasses that she thought would look on me, too. Honestly, I would have NEVER picked up those sunglasses on my own as the style was a little different than what I was used to... but I gave them a try and sure enough... they turned out to look really cool/good on my face. I bought them on the spot!! Upon checkout, her staff was also great about letting me know what rebates were available, which saved me a few hundred bucks. Overall, fab experience at Baxter Eye and I recommend them to anyone!

I went in for an eye exam to be paid by my vision insurance. Some box was checked that turned the eye exam into a medical issue to be paid by my health insurance. Since my deductable has not been met, they wanted to charge me $209. I was furious. This seems fraudulent to me. I did not pay the bill. Please charge my vision insurance and email copies of my prescription for regular glasses and reading glasses. You have my email address.

I have reached the age where I am having some vision problems. No one likes hearing that issues are developing, especially age related issues. Even though I dont like hearing it, Dr. Daniels was extremely good about diagnosing and following up to make sure that I take care of my sight. I appreciate her straight forward manner. It is hard to say I loved it but I feel like I am getting good vision care.
