I cant say enough about the service department at Bettenhausen. The employees make you feel welcome, direct you to the proper associate to address your needs, and arrange the needed service promptly. I had to leave my car to be repaired and they kindly offered a drop off and pick up service. Bill and Larry, the drivers who chauffeured were pleasant and professional. Ricco, the service representative, scheduled the appointment, kept me up to date on the repair, and checked on my satisfaction with the service. This is definitely a dealership that cares about its customers and does what it takes to keep you coming back!

Id forgot to check the operating hours for the Service Department on weekends and pulled up Saturday after theyd closed for the day. Instead of telling me they were closed and to come back another day, they were kind enough to let me in, give me a quick diagnosis and schedule me for service the following Monday. My Monday appointment with smoothly and way quicker than I was expecting. Each time I visit Bettenhausen, I get an even better understanding of what it means to receive great customer care from a car dealership - I cant imagine going anywhere else and settling for less! Gustavo was absolutely amazing! He called me on a Monday evening (after I visited another dealer who said that I couldnt use the documentation I had for income verification - Im self-employed). Gustavo was very clear, direct about what could be done and communicated along the way. Within less than 24 hours I was in Bettenhausen signing my paperwork and driving away in my new truck. He literally moved me through the entire process by phone and then had me in and out the dealership in less than an hour.

The sales experience has always been awesome. This was my fourth vehicle I have purchased. Those always got 5 stars, but this time an overall 4 star rating was based on the delivery of my new vehicle. On my past purchases a delivery specialist presented the vehicle and went over the features of the vehicle and helped with Bluetooth setup etc. Luckily I am tech savvy and had no issues. But I think about someone who is not as tech savvy how they would feel. I hope this is something Bettenhausen will focus on because I think this personal attention makes the customer feel appreciated for their business.

From the beginning of our journey to purchase a new 4-door Jeep Rubicon 392, he was very helpful, convivial, and knowledgeable. He dedicated generous amounts of his time to sit down with us and help us build the Jeep of our dreams. He was transparent with costs, trade-in values and other details. Once we ordered our 392 he maintained open communication with us to keep us informed of the Jeeps status. This made the experience exciting. Once the Jeep arrived, Jeremy was very helpful in getting us through the paperwork, the trade-in of our previous Jeep, and other administrative details. I brought my car here in October for an issue with the clutch. They filled the fluid, couldnt find the leak. Called me after they were done to let me know I owed 167.00 for fluid. Did not call me to get the approval first. 9 months later and all the fluid leaked out again, so filling it didnt fix it and they should reimburse me my money.

Great dealer, good customer service but during a pandemic the sales people should really wear a mask and wear it properly. While i waited for the vehicle to get serviced one of the sales person was walking around with no mask coughing and sneezing. No regards to ones health. Bettenhausen of Tinley Park should really do a better job at enforcing their employees to wear a mask. I know they are uncomfortable and annoying but for the safety of yourself and others please wear a mask. Especially when there are customers in the waiting area.

Bettenhausen Automotive is a fantastic organization. From a purchase/sales perspective, and especially the service department the dealer provides is among the best I have experienced. They make every effort to make sure the client is Satisfied. I had a couple of warranty issues where Chrysler was slow to respond, but the staff of the dealership quickly intervened, and based on the facts, helped to speed resolution. Great car shopping experience! Dreaded shopping for a new car, but Bettenhausen really impressed me by the great customer service (Anthony Bauer) who understood the tow package details we wanted in our Dodge Durango. No high pressure sales pitches but honest sales people who want to make sure we get what we want. I highly recommend and will definitely want to go to Bettenhausen for our next car!

My boyfriend and I came to look at cars at this location today (9.9.21). As we exited from inside the dealership an employee with a yellow shirt was walking out as well. I passed her trying to get back to our car. She was smoking with another co worker near the customer parking which I found a tad unprofessional to begin with. As we got into our car we look in the rear view mirror and see the lady with the yellow shirt lean against our car as she smoked. This was extremely awkward and unprofessional knowing its costumer parking area. I expected much more from a jeep dealership. Ill be purchasing elsewhere if this is how customers are treated.

Received my part and was overcharged on my credit card. Brought this to the attention of Dave in their parts department. He argued that the part cost more than he thought and charged me more due to that. They did not ask my permission to charge more, just sent the part and charged my card. Believe it or not, Dave told me that they are allowed to charge up to 15% more than they quote! These guys could take a lesson from other successful customer-centric online stores. They definitely need it.

I admit I was skeptical at first, but when she showed me the numbers, I was wanting to do it. I left away happy getting into a newer Renegade with a lot of upgrades at a lesser monthly payment. Got to the dealer and the salesman informed me, he cannot give appraisal because the vehicle I’m looking for is 3 to 4 months out. Did they just wasted my time on a Holliday weekend. Last Saturday we purchased a used 2014 Grand Caravan, from Bettenhausen Dodge.The as we drove the vehicle we purchased, we were completely surprised and unaware to learn that it uses e85 fuel.During the entire time Mr.Smith never revealed that it is an alternative fuel (E-85) vehicle.If he had we could have made a more intelligent decision as to whether we wanted to purchase a vehicle. There are limitations to where we can actually purchase e85 gas Yes we can use other gas, but that should have been revealed: before we purchased the vehicle.In addition the e85 decal that is normally (supposed to be displayed) on the back of a vehicle that uses such fuel, was missing. However they were able to put a dealer decal on the vehicle once we bought it; but the e85 decal was not there.While we were still at the dealership and just closing the deal, the porter placed the plates on the vehicle. My son took a picture, so we would have record of license plates.The photo proves there is no decal indicating that its an e85 vehicle.This would have definitely changed the negotiation, and I think he knew that.The fact he you omitted telling us that this was an e85 vehicle; is a deceptive sales practice.So what is the remedy?We can return a vehicle.OR you can we negotiate the sale price. We are not pleased at all with this. We have emailed him twice and him to please contact us as soon as possible, to discuss this matter. HE NEVER HAS!

I recently purchased a 2020 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T and at this dealer they really screw you over. I have excellent credit close to 800 and they said they could only approve through Chrysler Capital for 7.04%. We asked them to just go through Chrysler in the beginning but they interested on trying a FEW banks before them. I later received a letter from Bettenhausen and they had over 10 attempts with running my credit through different banks. The reason this dealership charges so much on interest is because thats how their salesman make extra commission. I tried calling the salesman and the manager multiple times but still no answer. And at the very end they ask you to inspect the car to see if there are any problems but they do this in such low light that the car looks perfect. I brought the car home and really checked it out under bright light and I found 4 paint chips on my front bumper hood and fenders. The car still only has about 50 miles on it and I bought it from them with about 38. I later purchased a 2020 Toyota Camry XSE. Schaumburg Toyota gave me the car at 0% interest for 60 months with $0 down. This is after I had another car (2020 Charger) in my name. Now tell me, if they didnt screw me over, how did I qualify for 0% after purchasing a $50,000 charger a week a prior to buying the Camry. I am very disappointed with my purchase and the way thus dealership operates. I will never do business with this dealership again and before you go there you may want to reconsider your visit.

I took my 2012 Charger SRT here on 06/17/21 at 11:00 am for an appointment that I had waited 2 weeks in advance for. I get there and the service advisor Daniel writes up my Charger. It’s having some transmission issues that I wanted looked into and a recall on the air bags. I dropped it off and left it there for them to work on, Daniel tells me “give us a few days, as transmission concerns may take some time.”. I understood this, I work as a service advisor myself at a car dealer so I get it. All day Thursday goes by, no word yet. All day Friday goes by and no word on it yet. All day Saturday goes by, still no word. I finally called at 12:15pm today (06/21) to see what is going on and the woman says I will get a call back in 15 minutes. Almost 2 hours goes by and I receive a text message stating that the car still has not been looked at. I ask “will it at least get looked at by tomorrow?” (6/22). Daniel replies back saying “probably not, there are three cars ahead of yours with transmission problems.” So I call Jack Phelan Dodge and ask how soon I would be able to get the car looked at. They gave me an appointment for this coming Thursday 6/24 and specified that they would make sure the car got seen and wasn’t just sitting on their lot for almost 5 days without being touched, like it had been at Bettenhausen. Daniel from Bettenhausen claimed that they keep the SRT vehicles inside the shop overnight (I assume this is because of the high theft rate of SRT vehicles) but when the car was given back to me with nothing being done, it was completely filthy. I’ve had many good experiences with Bettenhausen on my old 2006 Charger SRT8, so I continued to use them even though Jack Phelan is closer to me. Why did I schedule an appointment 2 weeks in advance just for my car to sit there for another 5 days with zero progress? Definitely won’t be returning here.

Hasnt even been a year since I bought a brand new Ram Rebel and this truck has given me so many issues. The radio has been replaced once and constantly needs to be serviced. Even better is that my exhaust pipe is hanging off and then take it in to get serviced then they tellMe that it has a crack in it and supposedly fix my exhaust but yet I walk out again and it hanging off once again. Cant wait to get rid of this truck thought that the new dodge trucks were reliable... but guess not

This has always been our favorite dealership to work with. Very clean and normally very pleasant.First few experiences: Highly disappointed. We took our car for oil change and tire rotation and when we picked the car up there was Tork scratches on 2 of the rims. The service representative even said that’s not right I can’t believe they did that. We spoke with Jackie from service who was a bit irritated to have to work with us to get it fixed. She said come in Thursday 9am we will have it fixed by end of day. We do not live close and she did not give us a rental so we spent all day with our kids walking around trying to enjoy the outdoors for the day make the best out of it. We called at 3pm to see if it was fixed since we had been in the heat all day. She said no. She called an hour later said it’s done pick your car up. We went to pick it up and looked like nothing was done other than they cleaned the rim. We spoke with a manager of service and he said he didn’t even see the rim guy come in today. Told us come next Thursday we will get ya a rental and have it all set up for you so it is smooth and we apologize for the disservice. We showed up today and nothing was set up. The service representative Dean said he had heard something about it and seemed very frustrated to even have to deal with us. He was even grunting a bit. They finally gave us a rental but a much older model of our car which I feel is a huge disservice being that we even told them we are in the market to get a new car. Our car was automatic everything and this one is not. We would think they would at least give us something of a newer model.

I will say that I will never return to Bettenhausen again. I initially reached out to you Jamie back in the Spring 2020 explaining I would be in the market for a Wrangler come August when my lease was up. You never responded back to me until I reached out to Micah, the Sales Director. Then, it was like pulling teeth trying to get your attention in helping me.I found another dealer that was willing to help with everything based on a recommendation from my coworker. They are over an hour away from where I live but it was well worth the drive.Then, I make all the final steps at turning my lease in. I contacted Bettenhausen. I made an appointment to turn in my 2017 Grand Cherokee. When I arrive, I see my name on the prompter for a sales appointment to buy a 2020 Wrangler. I spoke with the receptionist and was told the salesman would be out to help me. I waited around for 15 minutes. There was no one in the showroom but plenty of sales people on their phones or computers. Finally, a gentleman named Mike Rowe came out and asked if I was being helped. I apologized to him ahead of time but I literally went off. Your dealership has shown no interest in helping me even when I went thru all of the appropriate steps.I have and will continue to tell people to look elsewhere for both sales and service. Your service department literally takes over 2-3 hours for an oil change even with an appointment. This is absolutely ridiculous.I certainly hope you guys take this email to heart. Because in this day and age, all we have is our reputation and integrity - Bettenhausen has neither.

Took my van in 7-12 my radio was not working and the lights on top for the doors one was out got it back 7-27 the radio still has static and the screen is still dim now the right turn signal on the inside dont work and my dimmer switch dont work and the lights on top for the doors still dont work took it back 8-2 got it back 8-20 but not just one light is out but the other light blinks then come on the radio still has static the top lights still dont work they said they put in a new cluster both times so whats wrong that they not fix the problem

Bad experience! Ive never published a review, but this one warrants it. I purchased a used certified 2016 RAM 1500 that experienced a check engine light and a Throttle Control light with a tremendous loss of power no more than 1k miles (within first week) after purchase. The vehicle came with a 3k mile warranty. My family and I were on spring break with my family in the south when this happened. After seeking several RAM dealerships, I found one that had limited capacity to look at it. The repairs needed are extensive with parts that may be on national backorder (still undetermined). I have been told that repairs can take up to a month to complete. My family and I were forced to abandon our vehicle in Alabama and return home from spring break in a rental car. I called Bettenhausen to take the vehicle back and cancel the finance; the response was a soft no. I havent even made my first payment or registered the vehicle in my state. I asked Bettenhausen to help pay or share the expenses of the rental vehicle and the shipment of my vehicle once its fixed; again, it was a soft no. I have called and left multiple voicemails over three days to John Haristick, the salesperson, and have not received a call back. At this point, it definitely feels like he is avoiding me. I understand vehicles breakdown and the knowledge of this was out of anyones control, but how a dealership reacts and supports you is what defines their values. They say theyll work with you but its all just sales tactics. In the end, they just want to sell without building relationships.

Every car buying experience should be like Bettenhausen. No sales pressure, no haggling, just one price. The Wrangler came in within the time frame they told us, and it is exactly what we ordered. I highly recommend this company and specifically Nick P as your sales manager.
