Awesome place! Great staff. Met with a smile.Was in and out of there fast!. The gentleman that helped me was great and his customer skills was top notch! I wish I would have remembered his name. I highly recommend this place!
Dont even waste your time. I had a trailer reserved for months and the day before my move, they called to tell me they only have a smaller one available and to call them...but left no direct line or name. I was on hold a collective 52 minutes over 3 calls and STILL never spoke to anyone at the location - they had their phones forwarded to the national line.I decided to take the smaller one, show up the next day...only when I get there to take the smaller one, they wont let me rent it because it was reserved (ironic, isnt it?)Fortunately, the guy behind the counter was pretty cool and called the Highway Drive location and found what I needed. Despite his help, I can only give 1 star. Terrible experience made really good by the Highway Drive location and the guy at this one who was kind enough to push me that direction.
I wish I could give 0 stars. I bought a hitch and paid for installation. My appointment for installation was over a week away yet when I arrived I was informed the hitch was not available. After 30 minutes of waiting for a solution the manager tells me he would track it down and call me to reschedule. Four days later I heard nothing from U-HAUL so I called customer service. After an hour on hold I was finally told I had an appointment on Tuesday morning and that the hitch was available. When I arrived Tuesday morning I was told once again that there was no hitch and they would track it down and call me to reschedule. I cancelled the order. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced.
Worst experience ever, do not go here if you are looking for help. Halbert Diaz the general manager will insult you and talk down to you. And if you dont like his attitude.. and ask him to tone it down hell say we are done and leave you standing there. U-haul has lots of locations, you dont need this clown to mess with your day. Stay away!!!
Usually they are fantastic but the last time i was there they had a complete idiot that kept sending me that had no idea how to do his job ...communicate and should NEVER been allowed to deal with customers .and after charging my card 3 times put an alert out when i went to use uhaul the next time ..when i called customer service they were professional and knowledgeable as ALL other times i have used uhaul for over 20 years
Had a good experience here renting a trailer and purchasing a ball hitch. They had some technical difficulties with the rental, so the owner (Hal) comped my dolly and moving blankets. Thanks guys!
The truck was in good shape. Very reasonable. Helpful staff. Was able to do a across Tucson move two bedroom condo for 55 bucks and one large 26-ft truck.
Attempted calling this location to get information on a rental. The phone system is full of menu options that take you to a national call center, not to a local employee that can answer your questions.
The GM needs to learn how to assist a customer rather than ignore. We had an appointment to come in and have some work installed and gave no assistance to try and help. Blamed others! I have used U-HAUL before and will never go back here. Had to shuffle thru the mail instead of looking.
Waited by the propane fill for 20 minutes after talking to a employee in the store. Not a good place for propane.
DO NOT PAY FOR TRAILER HITCH INSTALLATION HERE!! THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND NOT EVEN INSTALL IT.
Rented a trailer for the day to get rid of some items. Friendly and quick service. I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with Uhaul (different locations) in the past, but they have the corner on the trailer rental market. This location was great.
Yall I needed a lighting kit installed on my towing hitch asap, and you know who got it done?Hal. Hal and his team got it done. I have never said shut up and take my money because that is not a funny way to show people you appreciate their work, but these folks made it happen for me, and trust me they have earned your business.

The WORST Customer service ever ... GM gave me a a great price so i wouldnt rent from another location.. My cards got charged an outrageous amount.. Went in the counter person made it right reversed payment... Come to find out the next day he NEVER completed the transaction... My card got charged ... had 2 additional pending amounts from them ... Had to go back AGAIN and the GM took care of me and was super unhelpful.. he said ill refund the money now and your new balance is___ .... The money still is not on my account!! NEVER NEVER go to this locationFreeway and St. Marys is the one you want to go to!!

I am in tears as I write this because I cannot tell you how kind the GM at UHAUL Hal Diaz (located at Oracle and Wetmore in Tucson) was to my family. We caught COVID-19 & to be honest we (my husband&I) have NEVER been sicker in our lives. NOTHING could of prepared us for this virus. Physically & Emotionally I could barely crawl to the bathroom let alone try and climb onto my husbands 600DR dirt bike that we had strapped down to a rental trailer we had rented prior to falling sick.trailer to return it. My husband who is type 2 diabetic was in worse shape then me and ended up on the ICU. He attempted to kick start that big bike, mind you that if you add on the fact that the record breaking endless days of 100+ degree weather, with a high fever, breathing through a mask he nearly fainted just walking TO the bike there was NO WAY he could have kick started it to back it off the trailer. Days & days went by nearly killing us both. 23+ days after our return date I finally had the energy to answer one of the non stop calls. It was Hal. I told him our situation before he could even speak & said how sorry we were and would try to get the trailer there within 24 hours. I am tearing up as I type this part: Hal says to me: Do you want me to come help you & pick it up from you? I will come help you move the bike & pick up the trailer from you right now if you want me too? We can get it figured out. Slightly annoyed I answer,How much will that cost me on top of everything else we owe? Dont you have our card on file? You have been charging it so your getting paid.” Hal says,No No No maam. There would be no charge at all I would come in my own personal truck & help you how ever I can. One of my coworkers had told me that you & your husband were sick due to COVID-19 & I am not calling about the money or about needing the trailer back its nothing like that. I am calling to offer you help however I can. I dont want to keep charging you for a trailer your not using & cant return because your sick thats not right. Can I help you guys? I was & AM still BLOWN away. Understandably as of late everyone has treated us like lepers & I cannot say how thankful we are & touched by that offer of assistance. To keep it short with his help we got the trailer returned and I owed Uhaul a little Under $1,000 that Hal went to his leadership and called us 2 days later to say that UHaul was refunding almost all of our money. They have restored my faith!!!
Be sure to get the name of the person you spoke to. If you call to pay your bill. I had an employee gather all my info, give the whole spiel and nothing came out of my account. You call back asking to speak to a manager the employee hangs up on you. You call back and you can’t even get a call back from the manager. Pretty scary when someone has your account information and says your payment went through and you can’t even verify why that employee did what she did or even if you actually spoke to an employee.
I usually dont have any problems with U-Haul services but it depends on the location. And I believe this is one of the bad ones since the employees dont want to spend time for you. In my case, they didnt tell me if I return the truck after hour there is a $20 charge, so please be aware if it. Also the truck they gave me, the right mirror was loose and was not able to stay in the angle I wanted it to stay, and when I asked them to change the truck they told me there was no other one available.
I made a major move across country and this uhaul location gave great customer service. Both my father and I went in on two separate occasions to get supplies and discuss reservations and Hal helped both of us. He was super friendly, helpful, and offered great deals. Additionally the truck was super reliable. I used it to travel across country with no problems or worries. I would definitely recommend using them.
I been use the uhaul here since 2013 there are the best people in Tucson hal the manager is very helpful and kind he need an raise for all he does for uhaul customers I planing an a move to ft Meyers fla and will be use this place then

I cant say enough how wonderful Hal was. Check in was painless and super quick. We got a discount and accommodations for our special circumstances. I highly recommend this location. I wont go anywhere else.
Avoid this place. While trying checking out I was told that the credit card machine was not working, and the cashier asked me to give her my card so she could do it behind the counter. I refused to give her my card. Their machine kept freezing, and in the end, it would not clear my purchased off the card readout screen. (I had seen the last customers info when I started my transaction and thought nothing of it at first.) After several failed attempts, I asked them to cancel the sale and show me proof or the cancellation. At this point, I was accused of having a possible stolen card. According to them, if I had just given them my card for them to handle behind the counter, all would have been well. I do not think they realize that the reason why we have swipe machines and cards with chips is so that we do not have to give our card to shady people behind counters. Well, at this point, it became clear that if anyone was the crook, it was not me. I recorded the entire event because I found it all so hard to believe that me not giving them my card and asking them to cancel the transaction would make them call me the criminal.
Bad service and bad policies. Take your business elsewhere.
I always have a great experience here. All of the employees are very knowledgeable and polite. The manager and the employees have always gone above and beyond. I would definitely recommend going to this store.
Providing excellent customer service is hard to find in Tucson. We’ve experienced that as we were rudely helped by an associate at this U-Haul location. Karl Vahsteins, provides POOR customer service and was very impatient and rude when we were trying to pick a truck to move all of our things to phx. The owner and other associates were kind. But associated like him should go back to training to get a sense of what excellent customer service really is. Very disappointing and would not recommend getting help from this guy.

Do not use this company. It has been 8+ hours across a two-day period and these people still dont have the hitch for my car. We had made a reservation a week prior for a hitch installation. They moved our appointment back 3 hours without informing us and then told us when we arrived that they did not have the hitch and it wouldnt be here till the next day. Come the next day, it still isnt here and we have been waiting for 5 hours now. These people are incompetent and clearly unable to do the jobs they are paid to do. If I could give them no stars, I would. Again, do not use this company. They are just here to overcharge you for jobs they cant do correctly.
After an error was made at an alternate uHaul location, I was sent up to Tucson to have a hitch and wiring kit installed on my jeep. I was told by the manager at the other location that they were transferring my reservation to the Tucson location, Tucson was expecting me, and that as long as I arrived by 6pm that my hitch could be installed. Sadly for both the Tucson office and myself, none of this was communicated to Tucson uHaul. After my four week old and I arrived at 5:30, I was informed that the hitch technician was gone for the day and that none of my information had been communicated or transferred to them. After explaining my communication with the Sierra Vista office as well as telling them that I drove an hour and a half to their location because I was leaving the next day to move to Texas— Chris (who is a phenomenal asset to uHaul) reached out to Jason, the hitch professional who was already home for the day, to ask him to come back and help me out. Jason agreed. Chris, Daniel, and Jason are fantastic employees and people. They took a terrible experience and turned it into a positive one by going above and beyond for their customer. We move every two years with the military and uHaul has my business for life because of these wonderful gentlemen.Thank you so much for all your help, guys!
I made a reservation to rent a van over the phone; super easy and quick. When we headed over to pick up the van, Hal, processed the paperwork quickly and threw out some solid jokes. Definitely a good experience!
Parking lot is small, but the shop was well stocked and the employees were nice enough. Didnt rent, but they seemed to have lots of trucks available. They also have propane refills with pay at the pump, which is a great deal and very convenient.
Horrible experience. I ended up getting charged for their free month of storage rental. The manager including their staff have absolutely no clue what is wrong with their system. I have stopped by the store five times to try to get this resolved but it keeps going in circles. No customer should ever keep following up multiple times about an easy fix. This place needs help. I even called their customer service department and they keep rerouting me to the store manager who is also clueless. To make matters worse, they were able to reverse the charge and they automatically charged me the same amount the following day...it has been a nightmare. If you are considering getting storage at this location look elsewhere...their system is not working accurately and you will have problems with your bank account. Save yourself some time and money and go somewhere else.

Im sorry but this is a shame when you would think your stuff would be safe at uhaul. I am vary disappointed in uhauls business the promise they keep are false. We replaced a lock on our storage unit to keep someone out that had the old key to our lock when we replaced it. That person came to the uhaul location where our storage was located and they got them to remove the lock from our storage unit. I am very disappointed in uhauls services. I cant come back after knowing they take off locks when they say in there policies that they cant remove locks. When I ask why did you guys take off the lock we got no response back.

This place is a lesson on total lack of customer service. We attempted to rent a tow dolly for a trip to Idaho, We showed up a few days early to make sure there would be no problem fitting the trailer to our vehicle. A Mr. Luna took a look at our RV and informed us we had no hitch and explained it would take weeks to order one. He eventually called over his manger who actually looked under the vehicle and informed Mr. Luna that there was indeed a factory fitted hitch.. The the aptly named Mr. Luna then attempted to test the connector for brake lights, etc, but didnt have the smarts to realize you dont get a ground when you clip on to a piece of fiberglass and informed us the connector wasnt functional. Then Mr. Luna attempted to insert a bar into the hitch with no success. He informed us it was all rusted out (it wasnt just dirty) and told us he would bring in his grinder and grind it down so it would fit. I suggested that if he ground off the paint, the bar would rust to the hitch. He agreed. The rest of the morning was downhill from there.We then went to Tucson Trailer and were fixed up with a bar and ball in ten minutes.All good till this evening when I received a call that the dolly we had booked 30 days ago and secured with a credit card, was not going to be available tomorrow at any location near my home. Instead we were told to pick it up at a location half way to Mexico involving over 50 miles of driving and two hours of our valuable time.I called customer service (an oxymoron if I ever heard one) to find a better solution. Stephanie, their traffic manager in Phoenix, told me this often happens and You Haul makes NO guarantee about pick up location or time of availability. Stephanie was both ignorant, obnoxious and had no concept of service. I explained that we need the dolly delivered to a closer location and her reply was Its not our policy I explained that the $40 discount offered wont even cover gas and certainly wont compensate for the time lost on our last day in town.After this astounding experience with You Haul, I wouldnt trust ANY equipment they would now offer us. We are going back to Tucson Trailer and will purchase a new one from people that absolutely know their business.Steer clear of You Haul in Arizona if at all possible. They dont even know the meaning of the word service...
The absolute worse moving experience of my life. Its been 2 months since we moved and are still trying to get issues resolved. We are passed from person to person, place to place by the Assistant manager at this Tucson location, he never follows through on what he says hes going to do. The manager is never available to speak with. U Haul customer service just keeps sending them messages to contact me. Their regional boss, Jamie, just passed me back to the store manager who is unavailable, again. I would never recommend this I haul facility or any u haul for that matter. I usually deal with the u haul on Ina Road and they have always been wonderful but had to use this facility because they had the truck I had reserved. What a nightmare dealing with these people....

AWFUL AWFUL experience that is ongoing and not resolved due to the lack of transparency, communication, and competence of Hal the GM. DO NOT ORDER A UBOX THROUGH THIS STORE OR UHAUL IN GENERAL. We ordered a UBox back in April of this year, to be shipped with all of our belongings. The box arrived on its correct ETA except - it was not our box. That box was supposed to stay in Tucson. Our box was finally located, still sitting in Tucson. Hal was full of apologies, saying the box would get shipped immediately, we would definitely be refunded for everything right away, etc. etc. etc. Between then (June 3) and now (June 26), I have been charged 2 additional fees, and Hal has no idea why, cant find the charge in his system, and has done nothing to reverse the charge. The last time I was able to get in touch with Hal - which is nearly impossible and I had to have a customer service rep call the store to connect me - he said that our box would arrive July 24... and guess what, no box. We just got an email today saying our box will arrive JULY 15 - which is 42 days later than it was supposed to arrive - AND THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED $1778 ON JULY 10 FOR SHIPPING! We have already paid $1902 for shipping! I have spent several hours on the phone with customer service and am having to escalate this to corporate since Hal seems to have forgotten about our situation and has been out of communication, despite saying he would call me and take care of this. HORRIBLE experience, still not resolved, we have so much of our stuff in that box!! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!! TOTAL INCOMPETENCE!!

At first glance I would totally agree with most reviews that I see. But great customer service is what makes the difference between a bad experience and an awesome experience.I went in on a Saturday after 5 pm thinking they would be closed. I was greeted by a friendly outgoing professional smile with a great attitude. Something completely different from my first experience that same morning by another employee. The man who assisted me that evening I believe was Halberto Diaz the assistant manager in this location.This man was not only polite and professional but also showed an eagerness to help in a sympathetic manner. He did not rush the service and took his time in showing all available options. I was picking up an auto transport and Halberto went through all the features and safety precautions. This was probably one of the most pleasant and professional experiences that I’ve encountered in a long time. Definitely going back to do business with him.
TL;DR - this location fails dramatically at communication.Wasted several hours out of my day all because this location cannot answer their phones. Thanks to this mistake and failure to call me back, I had to go out of my way to retrieve my materials, and pay much more in fuel and mileage.
I regret renting a unit here. I think i had the backup staff, and they were terrible- both lack of experience, and just general customer service.I ordered a unit online because I was running behind. I purchased a lock online to have waiting on monday. Sounds easy - was not.Monday is finally here, time to move! Well guess what, I was unable to get into my unit. Walk in, no employees in the building. She comes in mayybe 15 seconds later with a giant cloud of vape coming from the back room looking at her cell phone. The employee was unable to check me in, so a supervisor came to help. But i can hear him guiding her through the software Just put John Just type 1234 for the gate code, because we never shut it anyways ohh and i have to pick up the kids so im trying to get out before 6, youll be fine right? - she is clearly overwhelmed and struggling. and i told him im in a hurrySo he leaves before the paperwork is done. you would think if they were just putting john for everything that it would have finished. but no. So we walk to the unit, she takes 1 lock off, but theres another one on there also, she cant figure it out. Goes back to look, and just doesnt come back.I left a message with the only other employee that i have to go, to start moving and if he could make sure that the unit is accessible on tuesday morning. he agreesTuesday morning arrives, guess who cant get into their storage. ME. Because the lock was still there, because no one knew that it needed to be removed. SO I tell them my story, the employee said she would go tell the manager, I told her i was going to be bring a load back and if she could have the lock or a new unit by the time i got back. She said they would try.I get back and guess who cant get in. me again. I had to go find the manager and he gives me that oh its this guy look. He tells me to meet him there. I do, he didnt bring what he needed. I have to wait again. he brings a drill and drills the lock out to reveal another customers stuff in the unit!!!!! it wasnt until this point in my day that they offer another unit for me.They didnt offer to take care of me in any way. I got another unit the same day from silverbell storage...and what a different experience! I told them about what happened at uhaul, and the new storage people offered to let me use their moving truck for free so i could move my house in the few hours i had left instead of using my pickup. And they had a gate that closed, and security cameras, and employees that dont vape in the freaking building.So now Im asking myself why in the world i even rented from uhaul to begin with.

Hal was wonderful! Put a hitch did my wires on my 2010 Prius 3 and rented me a trailer to take to Maine a 5 by 8 enclosed within a 4-Hour window!

Made the reservation on line for 10 footer truck was conform ten minus later get call that they do not have that but they offer 15 for more price then we got there there was 8 10footer was in lot the we got the car the gas tank was on almost full however we drove for 41 mile for return had to fill up the tank took 12.2 Gallon and the i show them the before and after picture the refuse to make a adjustment and all those 10 footer still were there next time i take my business to home depot
