Update 02 July 2021: picked up the car today for the final time. I got paired with a gentleman that goes by “Morris”. He kept me up to date on everything they were doing and personally made sure my issues were resolved. I wish I got paired with him sooner and I highly suggest asking for him if you have any issues. Dude deserves a raise/promotion. The only reason I changed from a one start to a 3 star is Morris. Had I had him from the get go I’m sure it would be 5.Update 24 June 2021: After returning for the 3rd time for the above issues, after being called and told my vehicle was ready for pickup, my vehicle was not out of the service center. Luckily I was able to find an employee before they left to help find my vehicle. He was a super nice dude and able to find my vehicle. When inspecting the camera area I noticed they chipped my paint and tried to cover it up with what I assume is a touch up kit? Also the camera seemed to be peeling away from an adhesive strip I guess is used for mounting. They gave me the option to keep the loaner so I didnt have to bring it back as they also noticed the issues. Ill update the rating/review as this is continuing on.Horrible experience. Took the car in for a right repeater replacement and water leaking into the vehicle. When I picked it up, the camera was mounted with about a quarter inch gap, dirt stains on the headliner near the C pillar and two dents around the camera that was replace. I pointed this out and the manager agreed it was unacceptable and said they would fix it. It is been a week and I picked up my vehicle. Dents are gone but the camera still has a gap, the headliner is stained, the headliner is soaked (it was raining out), and my seats are absolutely filthy. Experiences are probably not like this for everyone as my first experience with the service center I have zero confidence for any future repairs/fixes I need. I will update should they reach out and fix the issues.
Service center is good. I have had 3 different repairs done here after buying used from Tesla. Everyone I have dealt with was very kind and knowledgeable. Only wish I didnt have to go so much for service, but thats not this locations fault.
We just took delivery of our Model Y, and it was delivered in outstanding condition. Genesis, our sales advisor, was terrific, and always responsive to my emails during the 10 weeks we waited for our car. Our car was delivered to our home by Paul, and he was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, too. All in all, Ive had a positive experience dealing with Tesla. However, Genesis went on maternity leave last week, and none of the three managers she referred me to for any assistance would return my emails, phone calls, or texts, so Ive downgraded my rating by one star.
I purchased a new car here. The salesman/advisor was excellent throughout the process and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the companys mostly online communications and support was pretty awful. Without the advisor it would have been a really bad experience.
Morris customer service was absolutely incredible. He immediately provided a loan vehicle upon inspection of my cars damage, arranged for a body shop to repair my car as quickly as possible, called me daily with detailed updates on the progress, and he even cleaned my car before my arrival after service was complete. This has been the best customer service experience I have ever had, and I will continue to go to Morris with any future service needs. If anyone from Tesla is reading this, please make sure Morris is well compensated for his outstanding customer service.
Had my car service by Tesla at this location couple of issues were not fixed and now have a software glitch that almost left me stranded 1:40 from my home the next day after picking up my car from the service center. Lucky I researched Reddit to get me out otherwise my car would have stayed in “Car Off” mode and I would have needed to be towed. No one from service center calls back and next appointment is 3 weeks away. Really unhappy model X owner.
Several weeks ago (07/17/21) my daughter got in a hit and run. As she sat and waited for him to get out of the car to exchange insurance info, the man who hit her, backed up, drove around her, flashed her a peace sign and took off. Luckily she was able to get a video of him driving off. We set up a service date to get the collision damage repaired at the Tyco Tysons Corner location— we included pictures and details. We chose the earliest date which was 08/10/21. I waited a week for confirmation -nothing. I messaged asking for a confirmation for the collision repair. They finally confirmed. Now it’s two days before I’m to drop it off and I get a message saying that they don’t do collision repairs at the Tyco location. Why didn’t they say at the beginning. Why is there a collision option for the Tyco location. When I went back to respond to their message, the whole thing disappeared. So now I don’t have a record to file a complaint correctly. Also the collision option disappeared. I’m starting to think I’m out of my mind-how was I able to set it up in the first place. It’s Saturday and now I have to find a body shop that’s able to take our car ASAP. It’s so inconsiderate and inconvenient. Tesla I’m so disappointed! Thanks for nothing.
Great service for a local test drive. Easy in and out process and very helpful local staff
Staff was super helpful in getting me access to a 7-seat Model Y to measure a bunch of the interior dimensions to figure out if I could fit 2 car seats and 2 dogs into the back of the car. I was able to confirm everyone would fit... Leading to putting in an order for the car!
Tried for weeks to communicate with my advisor Amro, and nothing. Delivery location changed multiple times without my permission. Not a good experience.
This place is amazing. They can answer all of your questions, and concerns in one spot. All the employees are very knowledgeable, and passionate about the job. The test drive is a must and how they walk you through the features of the car is amazing. Power walls and solar systems are on display and there are people there that have this system deployed in their home on staff! This was enough to make me want to buy a tesla for my next car.
Immensely helpful staff that ensured my pick up on delivery day when the Tesla support line failed to come through. Major props to Alina! No one picks up the phone (and the voicemail is full) so definitely stop by in person for assistance.
Excellent service department. Always quick to respond to any question.
Great dealership. Went for my appointment to test drive a car. Was shown the basics and was on my way in 5 minutes. Came back expecting the typical salesmans pressure and was met with nothing of the sort. Saleswoman was very knowledgeable when answering questions and when my brother and I said we were going to think about it, she happily said well if you are thinking of buying well be here to help you. And we went on our way. Spent about a half hour looking over other models and trim packages in the lot and wasnt bothered either. Highly recommend that if Tesla is a car youre thinking of trying out, spend your time at the Tysons Corner dealership. Truly blew my mind.
Great experience at this dealership. We had an incredibly knowledgeable sales person that could explain all the tech in the Model y performance we tested including full self driving mode.Highly recommend it.
Easy to find. Good organization. Helpful staff. Underwhelming cars. Neither the 3 or the Y have is any real thrill. Had been looking forward to getting a Tesla since they announced the 3. Bottom line: not worth it.
I have ordered Tesla, and waited for 3 month, they have delivered wrong car, which they offered me a month ago, after coming back home, I realize it was different car (which they tried to dump to me), I call them and I kindly asked them to check, and the Delivery Manager confirmed, later they sent email confirming that they made mistake, however offered no solution. I requested them that I needed a car I ordered, so the Sales associate told me I could return not later then 2 days . However same day the manager of Tesla called to my nephew ( bus I was not available) and told him they are taking the car back, because we told them it is not what we order, and he also told him if we do not give the car now, Tesla will call the police ( to which we have recorded evidence), to which my Nephew said you do what you like to do. They also told him they know where the car is, and they went to the location, they opened the door with their own keys and they took the car. I later, emailed them, asking how did they know my location, and why would they take the car even I am rightful owner, I made all the payments, but instead they gave me something else, in addition to it, they track my location without my authorization, and on top of that they stole my car. They have violated several privacy and consumer rights in violation of privacy laws, to which I am initiating my lawyers to launch a formal lawsuit against TESLA. Thank you
Kris is sales is the guy to go see, even when he’s out of town he’s on top of it and super helpful with my purchase of my first Tesla!
Horrible service. Nobody ever pick up the phone. The voicemail is full. Nobody calls back. Been waiting for service appointment for a month to find out that they don’t even provide the loaner when raking your car for a day or two.
What is wrong with this locations phone? I had a very simple question about purchasing an accessory for my car and tried every single option on the pre-recorded message trying to get through over the course of a few hours and every single one of them apparently routed my call to someone who views is philosophically opposed to answering phone calls and treats this responsibility as optional seeing as they couldnt be bothered to do pick up a single time. I called enough times to comfortably rule out the unlikely possibility that every single employee capable of taking a call was busy at the time, so I can only conclude that this was the product of pure laziness or astonishing levels of apathy towards customer service activities. This was also the case for several other locations in the area, both stores and service centers, indicating that the general unwillingness to treat their very high paying customers with enough respect that they at least pick up their phones at 3pm on a Tuesday is a widespread issue in the company. It is not unreasonable to expect excellent service after spending $60,000 on a product, yet Tesla seemingly does not believe they are obligated to provide even the most baseline level of support to its customers. I love my car and the company really is incredible at designing and building these vehicles, but the service is amongst the worst of any company I have ever experienced in my entire life. It is a serious issue plaguing this company that needs to be addressed. Get it together.
Easy contact free drop off. Once you drop off the keys they send you an Uber credit for the day.
Have not visited in person, but I absolutely regret making this store my delivery location for my online order.I have called several times, left multiple voice mails, sent several emails. Have not received a single reply, meanwhile I’m dealing alone and unafraid with the dysfunctional and deeply frustrating delivery process for Teslas. I have only once talked to a living person at this location, and that individual was beyond unhelpful. This is hands down the single worst customer service experience I have had. If you are considering ordering a Tesla, go through the Richmond store. I ended up getting so tired of getting jerked around at Tysons that I called Richmond and had a terrific SA answer my questions and help me out.Corporate Tesla needs to do something to improve this location.
Everyone is mega nice. Test drive went super smooth. Great to get to know the vehicles more.
They dont answer the phone and they do you wrong with financing. They need to have their license revoked! Terrible company!
So far, the worst customer experience I have had dealin with a car. You cannot reach this location by phone, email, etc. Literally nothing works. I have been trying to get help regarding my purchase.Their phone tree is broken. I wish I had gone with another company, I am afraid of what happens if something actually goes wrong with my car etc.
Not warm and fuzzy. Not a great customer service model. Not any worse than any other car dealership, it just isnt sleezy. It is nicely appointed. No receptionist, no bad coffee, nothing. Its an empty room. If you love Tesla, you dont care cuz you are on the app trying to book an appointment anyway cuz there are no humans needed.
Horrible experience with the agent Paul (thats the name he told me). I reserved test drive for model Y online, and once he noticed that I had test-driver 2 years ago with model 3, his face changed completely and judged me why I didnt move forward 2 years. He said he can only give me 10 minutes test drive and theres no car available... Funny, any non brain-died can understand he dont want me to test drive it. I did amount of research and Id say Im 90 percent about to order it after the test drive. But Paul made up the 10 percent. Feels kinda depressed about teslas sales force and start to worring about the after-sale service. Maybe tesla dont even care cuz the current wait list is long enough lol
I had a flat tire while driving on the BWI Parkway. Cant say enough about the service from towing to the repair at this Tesla dealer. Im impressed with the whole experience!!
Tesla rocks, but I got cold feet when I saw my potential car insurance bill. When I grow up and have disposable income, maybe. In the meantime, the other cars will do.
Staff was friendly and have no complaints about them. It’s the place which I think needs lots of improvements. For starters, there’s no complimentary drinks or coffee; waiting area is clean but lacks of amenities you would find in other dealers such as desks for people who need to work while waiting for their cars. Also, waiting area is literally next to where cars are being fixed and it’s quite noisy. I’m a little bit disappointed at Tesla, had bigger expectations.
Customer service is useless. I order a car, and it does not show in my account anymore even though the order is valid. Now I cannot track the order or see any of my old orders. Its a frustrating experience! No one in this center is capable of resolving the issue.
The staff were very professional and courteous.
This Tesla dealership has awful customer service. They never answer the phone or any emails! We reserved a model Y and paid the $100 deposit. Was trying to close the deal on getting the car but its impossible to get in touch with them! Their phone just has automated prompts and no matter which channel you go it takes you to voicemail. I left multiple voicemails and sent a formal email to their sales department. Over a month later they never returned the call or email.
Not a very good experience at all. I purchased my vehicle here, at which it was hours late due to detailing. When I received it, car was just at 50% charge. I thought this must be a one off day for them.Took the car recently for indicator repair and general diagnostics. Didnt get any notifications on the car status and it was a day late on its estimated time of repair (again, no contact about that). When I received the car, this time they gave it to me with 33% charge (luckily I live in the vicinity), and the car was filthy...Attempted to call and file a complaint but they didnt answer the phone and their voicemail is full! Go figure! At least the indicator works now...the only reason for the additional star.
Great dealership experience. Very friendly staff and well organized.
I’ve had the worst experience dealing with the Tesla in Tysons that I’ve ever had buying a vehicle. We went to the Tesla dealership five times trying to acquire the vehicle that we already put the deposit down for and they said it was available only for them to continue to not let us attend the vehicle we were paying for the vehicle in cash not financed through their bank and every time we came I feel like because we were black and her tattoos we got the runaround today was the final straw my husband showed up after he received an email with Tuesday’s date on it after we were assured that the car will be ready today only for them to tell us that the car wasn’t ready because they couldn’t do Virginia inspection on the weekends after they told us to come back when we were there on Friday. We live 2 1/2 hours away from the Tesla in Tysons Garden already paid $140 for an Uber to go and pick the vehicle up only for him to send him back home in Uber. The staff was extremely rude and acted like because we were black they didn’t want our money I don’t recommend ever buying a car directly from Tesla if you can find it online at a third-party that’s where you should buy it
The only employee that could be bothered to greet me was Kris and he did a fantastic job. If it wasn’t for him I would’ve walked out.
I would give them negative stars. First, during the buying process there was little to no communication from the salesman. He basically fell off the planet, not answering emails or his phone. We ended up with some random person who was trying to help us in between his own customers. At delivery another random person dropped the car off at my house, which I understand bc of the pandemic, but wow no text or anything to tell me its delivered?! My kid looked out the window and told me it was here. I had to Google how to unlock the vehicle. Weeks later, I decided to call the DMV to determine why its taking so long just to transfer plates. They tell me Tesla did not transfer plates but did apply for new plates. How is that possible when I signed DMV documents that are marked for plate transfer. I cant get Tesla on the phone for an explanation and it looks like I might have to pay again to get this straight. Ill never go through this again.
What a great place for a test drive. Cant hurt to try out the stuff right? The cars are unbelievably quick. It is as people say, nothing like driving a gas car. Even a very powerful gas car doesnt give you that same immediate jump off the line or immediate response from the throttle. The people working at Tesla were unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable. They were also extremely low pressure. Not once was I asked to buy. You dont really buy a car there actually, they only help you in finding out what type of car you might like and then if you choose to buy new you typically do it from your living room couch at home or at your computer. It was such a good time that if my parents were visiting from out of town, I would want to take them here for a test drive. I do believe Ill buy a Tesla in the next year or so but anyone whos even curious should come in and do a test drive. It was such a fun day and such a great memory.
This place could actually make more money if they had better customer service. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked when I planned on buying a car, and since it wasnt today they told me to just come back sometime later in the week because they were too busy. Guess Ill be going to another Tesla dealership.
Great to talk to in store, but they didnt pick up the phone when I called
If you want to test drive a car they make you set an appointment on their time, and they dont get back to you right away if your polite. Go to any other premium luxury high end dealer and you will be treated much better and wont need to make an appointment to look and test drive a car. Mercedes EQ, Porsche, Audi and BMW have electric cars coming, will wait for those models, due to poor customer service on Teslas end.
Purchased 2020 Model YOn delivery day, Service Technician, Paul P., did an amazing job answering questions and constantly cleaning up the car from factory leftovers. (Yes, it was fresh off the delivery truck, so there was still tape residue on panels and some tape caught under trim, but Paul took care of everything). The paperwork was easy. I did a trade-in of my previous car and transferred the plates, which they installed as soon as I confirmed that I was accepting the vehicle.Staff was super friendly and courteous.
Customer service is horrible!!! Call no answer. Really making me reconsider buying this car that I already waited weeks for. I may just cancel my order and go with another luxury car who put their customers first. Customer service is everything.
VERY AWEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have been calling for 3 days now and left voicemails to get a call back and I have still not heard back from them. They delayed the delivery of my car because it wasnt up to standards. Then when did get it the windshield wipers didnt work. Now I get an email saying that they never got the car inspected so I have to go do that in order to get my registration! This is the worst dealership I have ever done business with! I really wish zero stars was an option!
Model 3 owner here - Amazing customer service, and good people working here. I’m very critical and these guys were great, communicative, and genuine. Great hires and training.
Nishil is a fantastic Tesla resource. Because of him I drove an hour from home to make my purchase at this Tesla Store. Thank you Nishil for going above and beyond in customer service to make me feel appreciated and happy with a very easy order process. Well done.
My husband and I are looking at a model S as our next car purchase. Went in today to try to see and test drive a model S. The front desk receptionist asked us what we were doing and we told her we wanted to look at the model S. She said “when are you planning on purchasing?” We say in the summer. She says “that’s months away, why are you here today?”... because we had time and wanted to try test driving and properly think about our options? She told us they were busy and to come back on a weekday. We cannot do that because of busy scheduling so my husband is operating or having clinic every weekday until 6-7 PM. We can’t come see any cars together unless it’s the weekend. We took time out of our day to do this and felt we were basically told to leave. I left feeling snubbed and embarrassed.
The poor customer service rendered by Amanda was the reason it was the experience wasnt 5 star.
Customer service way below expectations non professional nor dedicated to even convince me to buy no actitud nor enthusiastic person
I loved it. It was the perfect experience. Kris was extremely knowledgeable, answered my questions patiently, and met me where I was in the process. Kudos...this was amazing and I will be back to buy my Model 3!
Probably the worse customer service on the planet, but cant beat the cars.
Everything is automated! For my service appointment I dropped off my car before the service center opened; did all communication through apps, phonecalls and txts; and picked up the car after hours, using Tesla-sponsored Uber credits to get around in the mean time.
Scheduled an appointment to get my car looked at since my left mirror cap popped off while driving. Sent them a picture since I figured the cap was defective but they responded with an invoice of 190 for the part without first seeing the car in person. Waited 30 minutes to have Morris from service to look at it and eventually declined to buy the part after he looked at it and said the Tesla could not possibly be at fault and that I’m just going to have to pay for it. No option for a goodwill repair at all for such a freak occurrence. Will not be coming to this service center anymore since they do not care about Tesla owners here.
@Tesla @elonmusk @TeslaService a big #thankyou to Marco Solar at Tyco Rd Tesla Service. Marco works day and night to take care of his customers! Thx so much.
I love the customer service, they replaced my car fob battery for free ♥️ awesome service!
Very unresponsive to user requests from Call. Impossible to connect with anyone on this store through phone.
Did a 30 minute test drive. Great service and covid policies.
The staff at the Tesla shop were awesome and very helpful. Some of the Tesla behind-the-scenes components from corporate wear less so. Overall happy with my experience and the car
Lets say they are becoming too lazy to diagnose for issues. I was willing to pay extra just to find out my theory was correct on a issue which later they corrected. Use to be good service and I never had to remind them the issues.
Customer service is lacking for the amount of money being spent, can never get anyone on the phone for assistance, order was screwed up ! Horrible experience
Very attentive, good service under difficult cercumstancis do to covid.
I absolutely love my Tesla and love being apart of the Tesla family.... but this specific location has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life on a purchase of this magnitude. I purchased my vehicle April 14, 2020 and it has been 7 months without me receiving my vehicle registration or license plate. I have called numerous times each month, emailed my sales rep, submitted app service request, spoke with reps on the phone and still have nothing. Christian Torres (service tech) along with several others have promised me to resolve this issue. I even received a FedEx tracking number. The package was never shipped, only a label generated. Half the time I call this location no one answers the phone and there voicemail is full. This has just been a overall terrible service experience. It’s disheartening because I truly believe in this company and there potential as a automaker.
Great and fast. Ran out of fuel ⛽ and they were there to refuel me in no time
Love my Tesla! Love this extremely innovative company!
Best test drive experience ever.
Benjamin Wells is the reason why I bought my Tesla.I first spoke with him while killing time 7 months ago. I placed an order for a model 3 but wasn’t quite ready yet. I cancelled the order and came back in last week and he sold me my 2019 Model S. I’ve never met someone so passionate for the brand as Ben. He literally knows everything Tesla....I mean everything. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if 5 years from now he’s working in Palo Alto alongside Elon Musk.Thank you!!
Great place, great staff. Boubakar was extremely helpful through my decision making process. I look forward to ordering my car in the next month or two. I hear a lot of complaints with Tesla Service as a whole but I get the feeling those complaints are coming from people who cannot be pleased. If it turns out service really is lacking perhaps I will apply to work there and see what I can do to improve it rather than complain. For now. 5 stars for the folks at Tyco Road.
Amazing vehicles. Helpful staff
We had an appt to receive our Tesla and had to wait quite a while to be helped. But, Tony was fantastic once we were able to see our new car. He helped us inspect all the details of the car and answered all of our questions with honesty and enthusiasm. So even though we had to wait a while, Tony made it a positive experience for us.
Great service. Large service location. Easy to find.
Awesome cars! The sales people were incredibly nice and not pushy.
Great showroom with extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. No pushy sales types here anywhere, just noticed folks who love the stuff they sell. Parking can be a challenge and do NOT park across from the other stores and walnut over. They will tow you. We did. Not their fault that they need more parking space for being awesome!
I purchased a Tesla M3 from EJ, great personality and wonderful sales rep. He was helpful and patient throughout the whole process. Completely different experience from your conventional car buying experience.Called back in for some follow up questions and spoke with Archer. He answered all my questions just as asked. He went into vivid detail explaining the process and how everything should play out.All that is left to do is wait for the vehicle to arrive. Looking forward to it!
Is ZERO STARS AN OPTION? The Tyson’s Corner Service center is HORRIBLE! I was in DC on business from Indiana and my car gave me a service message and so I took it to the nearest service location, which is in Vienna. They kept it for four days before even touching it. They offered me a rental to get back to Indiana for work, which was appreciated as well as offered to ship my vehicle back to Indiana once fixed. There was no updates for several days and no diagnosis of what was wrong. More than a week later, they text and say my car is ready and reneged on shipping it to me as well as threatened to start charging me for storage fees and the rental if not picked up in 6 days. THEY WANTED ME TO DRIVE 12 HOURS FROM INDIANAPOLIS! This place has zero customer service and I don’t know how others ever found it quality. THE WORST SERVICE CENTER EVER!!!
I based my rating from my experience visiting the Tesla service center on Tyco Rd. I went in last Friday for a test drive and when I entered the showroom I was immediately greeted by Fernando, a Tesla advisor. He helped set me up with the test drive which only took a few minutes and he made me feel welcome and at ease. He introduced me to a few of his co-workers which were friendly as well.Fernando was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the cars. After the test drive he showed me more of the cars features and answered all my questions. I never felt any pressure to buy and discussed and explained all the different options with me.I was very happy to have had Fernando help me that day and ended up ordering a new Tesla. If youre in the market for a new Tesla at the Tysons corner location look for Fernando as you wont be disappointed.
Great! The advisor there who helped us test drive our car was very helpful and accommodating
Pretty great experience with service advisor Paul. Dropped off my Y for a couple of trim repairs and had previously kindly requested a loaner car when scheduling my Appt through the app because I have 3 kids. Tesla wouldnt confirm they would have one for me but when I arrived 30 minutes early Paul called me and said they had a Model S for me to use while my vehicle was being serviced. Only frustration was the vehicle took an extra day and Tesla is notorious about not keeping you up to date on the status of your vehicle. I was never told it would be late until after they had closed already the day my app said it would be ready. Thank you again for providing me a loaner and keeping my good faith in the company as a first time Tesla owner
The attention from the ladies at the front desk to have a service appointment was awful!
The staff were very helpful, not pushy, and were able to answer all our questions. I find it amazing though that they just hand you the keys to a Tesla to test-drive it. Very interesting.
Lovely place ...lovely employee
Cant ever get through to anyone on the phone. Had to make the drive over just to see if they had a paint repair kit in stock. They didnt, so would be nice if someone would pick up the phone, it would have saved me the drive. I called at least 5 or 6 times and no answer.
