Started out a decent experience, but the salesman became too concerned with trying to make a sale than listening to the customer. Came in looking for a Kia Soul specifically and said we were looking for a certain payment range. While I’m 100% understanding that it’s not always possible to get the desired payment range, we were assured we could get close. Ended up being substantially more. When we politely declined, the salesman got up and went back to financing. He came back with an offer for a Kia Rio that we didn’t ask for and we instantly declined. When we declined, the salesman acted offended, “But why, it’s a new car?”I get that you work to make a sale at a dealership, however at no point do you need to so rudely question a customer at your establishment, especially when we came in and advised we were looking for something specific from the beginning. They attempted to bait and switch with something entirely different from what we were looking for. That’s not how you make a sale. We didn’t fuss, we just left. Please respect your potential customers in the future.I had a similar experience with this location some years ago. Ended up buying from Southern Kia in greenbrier, which was a PERFECT experience. Won’t be coming back here for any of my car buying needs again.

Please stay away. Kia - Lynnhaven held my vehicle for almost 6 months on a simple overheat issue that shouldve taken less than a couple days to fix. They were rude, blatant liars, unhelpful, unapologetic, and non-empathetic. They then returned it to me filthy and physically damaged; with no talks about making it right in any way.Theres too much that happened in the last 6 months to write on here, but here are the highlights - Kia told me the parts were on back order, then I found the parts myself weeks later and had to provide Kia with the ordering information (youd think theyd be able to find the information themselves). Then they destroyed my engine with their poor work practices, and the cycle repeated itself. I had to find the ordering information myself after months of being told it was unavailable. Turns out it was available the whole time. They just didnt have the correct part number.Again, they kept my vehicle for about 6 months. Much of this time was spent in a rental vehicle and hotel (since I was originally visiting for 3 months) which I paid out of pocket with no offers to reimburse me from Kia while my vehicle sits idly by. Kia did nothing to expedite the process.Please see the pictures of the condition Kia returned my vehicle in. Greasy hand prints everywhere, including the back seat (which they had no business being in) and a footprint on the back door panel (as if they were laying down or napping in my vehicle). Disgusting. Not to mention the physical damage and stolen parts. The radiator cap that was returned to me was not the pressure bleeding radiator cap I had originally, and my two front floor mats are missing. The front and rear bumper suffered from tooling damage and somehow the rear bumper now has a sizeable dent. Same with the front left wheel. Looks like tooling damage.Sorry for the lengthy review. Please stay away from Kia. At the very least, stay away from Kia Lynnhaven. Ive spoken to friends and read many forums after my experience. Turns out this is not an uncommon theme. Stick to a more dependable brand.**Update** About 2 weeks has passed and Ive been getting an intermittent check engine light. I finally got the opportunity to pull the code, and its throttle related. Likely a faulty installation. More money out of my pocket... Theres no chance of me going back to the dealership to have them potentially break, steal, or lose something else.If anyone reading this knows of an attorney who specializes in these cases, Im looking and interested. Please leave the info on this post. Itll probably help some others who have had issues with this dealership as well. Thanks in advance.

Ive changed my 4 star review to 5!Wow wow wow! RT Ives is AMAZING! Hes been my point person a couple of times now and its always been a great experience. If youre like me and dont particularly enjoy taking your car in-- only to wonder the entire time what news lies ahead (anxiety much?)-- RT does a good job of taking the sting out of the dreaded mechanic experience. He does a great job of liaising between me (the customer) and mechanics. His communication and knowledge always puts me at ease and this is HUGE as this is the foundation of building trust.There are a lot of options out there for consumers. KIAs service department alone has won me over as a repeat customer. I know when I drop my car off I am in good hands and this is how I like to do business.Ive been with them for 8 years and when it comes time to upgrade, this is where Ill make my purchase. Absolutely garbage service, and gave me a DANGEROUS vehicle back that my kids ride in 😡It took 5 days and four different people before somebody took the time to research the part needed to repair a fuel leak AFTER I left the vehicle with them.THEN, the technician who serviced my brakes while it was in the shop didn’t take the time to torque the lug nuts. Several days later the car starts shaking and wobbling WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR. After jacking it, we discovered the nuts had backed off so much that the tires could be moved in any direction by hand. If you want an easy lawsuit, this is the place for you. If you want any kind of quality service, GO ANYWHERE ELSE. What a sham.

The service department is the slowest place I have ever been. A simple oil change took them 8 hours to complete even with a scheduled an appointment. Good thing I don’t need a new car, at that rate it would take them years to sell it to me.

I called to explain that I have to go.out of town for work next week and that our car is less than 500 miles from the do date for an oil change. Since I am taking the car it would have been well over the recommended mileage by the time I got back. He was very understanding and was able to fit us into the already full schedule before I have to leave. Thanks RT!!

I dropped my car off on August 18th for a diagnostic on a sound my car was making as well as work related to a recall on my 2018 Kia stinger. The diagnostic revealed an issue with my steering that required parts to be ordered and a claim to my insurance. The claim was approved in a VERY timely manner, despite the service desk having contact with the claims agent without keeping me in the loop (even though I asked to be included in all emails and correspondence). I was assured that once the claim was completed that fixing the car would not be a problem but the overall process has thus far been a nightmare.As soon as the claim was PAID it seemed as if all contact became non existent, I had to call and show up to the dealership on multiple occasions, to get any information on where the part was, and when my car was going to be fixed. The service desk gave me multiple estimated dates for the part to be delivered, which all came and went with no contact, unless I initiated it. Not to mention the phone tag I had to play between service and parts as if they couldn’t speak to each other or my service rep and contact me with information. I was met with nonchalant guesses about the part for several weeks, and was just informed (after showing up to the dealership again), it has just arrived this morning October 7th, nearly 2 months after I dropped the car off. The reason for the delay was that Kia the manufacturer of my vehicle, lost the part that was ordered, they admitted they lost the part last week even though the original projected date for it to arrive was in September.I implored the dealership to offer service to me in the way of a loner vehicle and was told to handle it with my insurance, even after they lost my part, had piss poor contact with me and have offered nothing but apologies and reassurance, words that have little value in comparison to how I’ve been treated. I’ve not been offered anything that shows that they care, no services or discounts, after weeks of shrugged shoulders, unanswered questions, and overall frustration. I spoke to the director of the dealership today and she assured me that Kia has never lost a part and that they pride themselves on good customer service, but my overall experience has been horrible. The parts manager Brian was the bright spot throughout all of this ordeal as I genuinely felt he was doing all that he could do, I only wish that he could have done things earlier. I will not come here to have my vehicle serviced ever again and I am seriously considering getting another vehicle since the KIA manufacturer cares so little about the clients who purchase their products.

Car shopping lately has not been fun and other dealerships customer service skills were lacking. I came here today because they seemed to have the most inventory in the area. I’m so glad I did ! Brad was so nice and went ABOVE & BEYOND today for me. The sales manager whom I forgot his name, I’m sorry. He came up introduced himself and he was so nice and polite and was able to get me where I needed to be ! They were polite, kind and very fast! I am so glad I came here ! Thank y’all again !!!

I have nothing bad to say regarding the service that I received this past weekend or any other time that Ive had my car at Lynnhaven Southern Kia. Wes (Service Specialist) and friends :) are helpful, polite, and honest. Its always or at least it can be tricky as a woman when having your car serviced, but Wes has never made me feel that I was being taken advantage of. I was also very happy that they valued my time. I was in and out in 1.5 hours.

Brad White hooked me up! We got a Kia Sorento and made the process as easy as could be. There were moments that we had to wait, but in the meantime he met us on our level and we talked about skiing and food (things we love) that made the time go by very quickly. Between Cornelius who got us started and took us on the test drive, to Carl making sure everything was carried through smoothly, the team is overall great. Highly recommend Southern, and we’ll be back in the future!

WORST DEALERSHIP IVE EVER BEEN TO!To start off their inventory was horrible.David was the so called salesman we dealt with. He constantly lied to our faces about the dumbest things possible. Example: Kia was bought 4 months ago, so we have to charge you for certain thing. I fact checked him. Kia was bought out in 1998. Thats the petty part of this review.I was in attempting to take apart of one of Kias Lease Deals. The deal was a 2021 Kia Forte LXS lease for 36 months. 2,799 due at signing. With all that it would be $189 a month. And I am aware that doesnt include taxes and fees and such. However, they said in order to get that deal I needed to put down $6,000 for a monthly payment of $391!! The more we negotiated the more of his and the Managers incompetency came out. We ended leaving saying they are way far from realistic. We went to Southern Greenbrier Kia and had amazing service. We took the same deal to them and was out the door in a little under 4 hours at $279 a month with $2000 down. Long story short, avoid this Kia. They lie and try to steal your money.

Dont bother making a service appointment on their website. It apparently doesnt work, they know it doesnt work, and they continue to leave it up. Took time off work during a very busy week, drove all the way over here only to find out they have no record of my appointment despite me having received an emailed confirmation. I was probably a little short with the service reps, which I am sorry about. Taking time off work for no reason is a big deal though... but thats not their fault.

I am not a customer here...not will I be. My mother purchased a vehicle. Between issues with the vehicle.. having to wait, for a long time, for parts to arrive... had to turn around and take it back... then had to wait for parts(different issue). But the best part of all this is the customer service in the service department. (I hope you can feel the sarcasm oooz from customer service). I dont think the man knows what polite or customer service voice is. Hes short and condescending. A true boomer who acts like it. Great way to get and keep customers. I will never buy a vehicle from here.

My 20 y/o daughter called to tell me that RT(service advisor) said her transmission was bad in her 2015 Kia. I didnt believe him, and thought they were taking advantage of her. I called the shop and acted like a complete a$$. Turned out that RT and the service department replaced the transmission and fixed the car for under $100. They took care of my daughter and I was wrong about them. If every repair shop was this honest, non of us would automatically think that mechanics are trying to take advantage. I am a grown man though, and I can admit when I was wrong, and I was. RT and the service department at Southern Lynnhaven took care of my daughter. I live in Missouri and my little girl (20) is a new Sailor in the US Navy. They were honest, fair, and I completely misjudged them. Thank You to all of the Moms and Dads who work in that shop. You deserve a medal, and certainly didnt deserve what I said to you all. Sorry, and Thank You for your honesty.
