Wanted to purchase a vehicle with my own money. Not borrowed through them. They did not want to let me do that. Insisted I finance through their program.I understand that it doesnt help you much when people pay for things themselves...but I would have cleared a used inventory spot off your lot. Sometimes people have a very specific way they want to purchase something. The pushing is part of your job, so I get it...some manager tells you what exactly to do to meet sales metrics. But it left me with a sour taste in my mouth.They were friendly though...so I suppose that does count for something.

My daughter just informed me of the service she received from them. She not only waited in her car for a long time, 20 mins??? The lady came out later and told her to wait again--40 mins later.She diligently goes there for her service, first time shes experienced this type of shut down. Instead of them telling you that the WIFI is down earlier, so she can plan the rest of her day, NO! They made her wait.She went to Jiffy Lube...:)

I bought a Mazda CX-5 at the ending of 2020. I had a hard time in getting my handicap license plate from the DMV. That was when all business was closed from the pandemic, so the satellite city hall told me not to make an appointment at that time because they were to busy doing relicensing of drivers licenses. So I went back to Cutter Mazda Waipahu, and talked to Emmanuel, a salesman there. Although he was not my salesman, he kindly helped me to get my handicap license from the DMV. I want to really thank Emmanuel for all the help. When I am ready to buy another car, I will gladly see him because of the outstanding service that I received from him.

As a salesperson for King INFINITI of Honolulu for the last 3 years, I often would call the respective manufactures dealership in regards to service-related questions posed to me by my clients who are interested in purchasing a pre-owned vehicle. It is not common to get helpful information and assistance from employees of other dealerships but today, I spoke with Levi in the service department. As today is a holiday, you wouldnt normally expect any excitement from anyone who would have to work, as Im sure like anybody else they would want to be home enjoying a 3-day weekend with their family. Levi, aka Mr. Aloha, greeted me with enthusiasm, which transferred to me through the phone instantly. He was very informative in answering all the questions that I had and was very forth coming with providing any information that he thought would be helpful in sharing with my client. He also went out of his way to look up information on the pre-owned Mazda that we have for sale at INFINITI of Honolulu that my client was interested in, which helped me out a ton! I know working in a dealership that many of your efforts go unrecognized and unappreciated, so I just wanted to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude for his awesome service! I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to get a car. I was pleasantly surprised with the great customer service and how above and beyond the workers went to make my experience nothing short of amazing!Unfortunately, I work long hours and I dont finish work until 8 at night. But I was In the market to get a new car and Ive heard great things from friends and coworkers about this dealership, so I decided to try my luck and go after work. I called them to tell them my situation and they were more than happy to accommodate me. I showed up to the dealership at 8:15 at night and was greeted by a few workers. I was interested in looking at a 4Runner they had on site, and for people who finished work about 30 minutes ago, they all seemed very patient. I worked with a guy named Matt and another one named Nohili. They showed me the ins and outs of the 4Runner and recommended I take it for a drive. But, I wasnt sold right away, I wanted to know my options. They walked me around the lot and the new 2020 Mazdas really caught my eye. Im the type of person who needs to know everything there is to know about a car before I buy it, so they ended pulling out about 6 or seven cars before I was able to settle on two potential buys. I wouldve never known they closed at 8, these workers seriously didnt seem to care that I had kept them at the dealership til 12:30 ... and even then, I told them I still needed to think it over.I thought for sure, if I came back, no one would want to work with me. But to my surprise, I came back the next night and I was greeted again with warm smiles and aloha. Even though I had some time to think it over, I still couldnt decide if I wanted to get the Cx-5 or the Mazda 6. The workers again, walked me through the ins and outs of the cars and pulled out a bunch of colors for me to look at. I ended up decide to take the Mazda 6, but not without spending 2 hours exploring the lot. Again, still surprised that not one of the workers had even the slightest bit of resentment, when this would be the second night I kept them here past midnight. I worked with Tom, the sales manager and even met the general manager Shane to work out a deal. They both were super cool and really made the time pass with great conversation. They ended up scoring me an amazing deal for a brand new car, when I really wasnt even in the market for a NEW one, I originally was gonna settle for the used Toyota.And to top it all off, since I didnt finish my deal til 12:30, they didnt have anyone onsite to detail the car, so they offered to have the car dropped off to me once it was completed the next day. (Jaw drop!!!)If you havent gotten the point of this post yet, GO CHECK THEM OUT! I promise you wont be disappointed at all!! Heres some pics of the two cars I ended up settling on before choosing the car.Ive had the car for about a week now and Im more than ecstatic with my choice. Ill definitely be returning here if I ever need to buy another car!

There is a reason I never do business with Cutter, and I should have stuck to that but I gave them another shot, and what happened? They let me down like usual.Finance manager (Kevin Grant) reaches out to me about the application I submitted for financing. He submits me in 2 cars to a ton of banks. All declined! The he text me out of the blue and says hey we got a 2012 Volvo with only 26,000 miles I submitted you for financing on it. Never seen the car and didn’t know about it until then.He tells me he would try and get it done by Monday (today). Last night I go online to see the pics of the car and show my mom, and find out it been sold.I text Kevin and when he finally replies he says he found out it had sold too. So I find another vehicle on the website I liked and text him about it.....never replies again!I love living in Hawaii, but I hate that Cutter owns so many dealerships. There is only a handful to choose from. This one by far has the worst customer service!

If you are bringing your Mazda here to get serviced, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. I recently brought a 2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata here to get serviced due to several existing problems. Primarily focusing on the A/C issue that has not been functional for 2 years now. They charged me around 170 for the diagnostic for the A/C problem. Got a call a couple days later saying I have several leaks in my A/C and will have to replace the heater component of the A/C (whatever that is) to do further diagnostic and repairs. I asked for the estimate total of the repairs and it came out to around $2600-2800. I obviously was not going to pay that much so I just asked them to order the parts for me which was about $250. I brought it to my local mechanic which didnt even need the parts and found out the problem was a bad condenser. So the local mechanic replaced the part and repaired the leaks. Now my A/C runs like new for all under $1000.

Had an amazing customer service experience with Jonathan in the service department. I felt he went above and beyond his duties as a service advisor. Jonathan was very knowledgeable and informative with what my car needed without being pushy or overbearing. He was also very understanding with my budget and accommodating with my time. My car got serviced in a timely manner as I got to enjoy their massage chair and coffee in the waiting area. Very professional and clean facility. Thank you Jonathan and to the Cutter Mazda staff for a wonderful experience. Needless to say I loved doing business with you all and we will be back!

I tried to get a person in the service center many times during the last week. I finally had to call a very nice person in the sales office and she took down the services I needed, and we set up a tentative date to bring my car in I have a safety recall on my Mazda RF that needs attention and routine maintenance. It has been days, and I have not heard from anyone at Mazda, I have no idea if that appointment date is good or not. Since I have to take the day off work ( they no longer work on the weekends) and I have to give advance notice to get time off, I cancelled my maybe appointment. Everyone in the service department is nice but this lack of follow through is an important area that needs attention.

Service dept was great. Swapped out a recalled dash board in one day. They have a shuttle to both pick you up and get you home.Plus they cleaned the interior of the car including windows. My first time at Cutter Mazda, prior to Cutter I lived in Delaware and Virginia and in those dealerships, they werent as engaged and informative on what was needed for my car at the time of maintenance. At Cutter Mazda I had Jonathan he was very friendly and listened to what I had issues with my car. He even went the extra mile removing the factory sticker I still had on my windshield in which was difficult for me to remove haha. Thanks, Jonathan! I will be going back again soon for my regular maintenance services. I hope they continue with their good services and generosity.

On my first visit it took 2 hours to figure out they did not have an airbag to perform the recall work. One month later after being called to bring in my car. I was told the dealer once again the failed and did not have the proper part to perform the recall. Eight months later I was called and told the dealer finally has the parts to perform the recall work. Brought my car in Friday, told to expect the work to be done same day and expect updates. Never got any updates and had to call to find out my car would be ready Saturday. Saturday afternoon I finally get my first update. My car is still not ready, expect the work to be done Monday... Oh and I might have to pay for extra work to facilitate the recall. Constant lies and incompetence. Save yourself trouble and never buy a Mazda.

I felt the need to warn ppl on how this business will do anything to close a deal/ to get money.Couple of days ago my friends mother called Cutter Mazda to inquire about a vehicle (mostly for my friend who is looking to buy a new car). A Car Salesman named Kevin pressured my friends mother, who is Elderly and Disabled, to be picked up FRM HER HOME and he brought her back to Cutter Mazda in Waipahu and pressured her to sign a contract for a 2016 Jeep Renegade for $20,000, $360 a month, with over 97000 miles on it! TALK ABOUT SCAMMING! AND trying to scam a UNLICENSED DISABLED ELDERLY WOMAN AND TRYING TO TAKE HER DISABILITY MONEY! My friend is her mothers PAYEE (a person that handles a Beneficiaries finances by Legal Right because beneficiary is disabled) and her, her mother, and another family member went in to cancel the contract. They were CIVIL, just wanted to Cancel the Contract even after Cutter Mazda were trying to pull a scam and the Sales Manager, Clayton Calles, REFUSED to cancel the contract even knowing my friend is her mothers Payee! He then stated he wasnt going to push Contract thru but my friend wanted a written confirmation stating that.HE KEPT REFUSING! AND as my friend went out to smoke a cig, the sales manager tried to scam her mom A 2ND TIME! Wanting her to sign another contract AND trying to get the old contract back! My friends mother told my friend what happened and my friend was very upset of how they were being treated and decided for them to all leave because there was no use trying to be CIVIL and reason with SCAMMERS & LIARS.Two days after this mistreatment, my friend recieved a letter that this Company tried to push contract thru and for $14,000??? but thank goodness it was denied but still the Sales Manager, Clayton Calles LIED and that was the very reason why my friend wanted a written confirmation that contract is cancelled.Now my friend is going thru the Better Business Bureau, trying to get a written confirmation that contract is cancelled, well now to make sure they dont try to push contract thru a 2nd time now. They will also be contacting other agencies for the mistreatment and unfairness.This is HORRIBLE and VERY UNFAIR of what my friend and her mother went/is going thru. What a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM and BEWARE of this company trying to pick up one of your loved ones from their home and trying to scam them.I RECOMMEND buying a car, and I also own a car from this car dealership, frm TONY AUTOGROUP INSTEAD!Aloha

To start. I wish I could give 0 stars. The salesman had no clue what he was doing or what deals are made of. When we told them we didn’t want to do a deal quite yet and wanted to go home and think, they kept our keys and our paperwork from us and wouldn’t let us leave. Our baby was fussy and tired and they still wouldn’t let us leave. I told them “no” about 20-30 times. Then when they finally let us go they gave us someone else’s paperwork so we had to go back and switch those out and they tried to make a deal with us and wouldn’t let us leave again and continued to harass us. They continued to call and harass us whether or not we were going to make a deal. Do not go here. They low ball you on trade in offer numbers and over price their vehicles when other dealerships have the same exact cars for a couple thousand dollars less.

Way over priced at least 10,000 dollars over msrp on most vehicles. Will make promises of finding something exactly for you but end up offering vehicles they know nothing about, for example, they offered a Chevy Silverado at less than 40,000 miles in pristine condition, went with salesman to pick it up it was at about 47,000 miles with maintenance problems and a lot of cosmetic damage including rust at a 2015. Turns out they only look out for themselves I do not recommend this dealership at all.I now have a 2019 chevy Silverado 4x4 at a 5 percent apr with not the best credit history from JN Chevrolet in Honolulu. Hopefully this helps.

Unprofessional all around. If you’re looking to buy a Mazda go the town/Ala Moana location. Their sales staff and service staff are a thousand times better. What Cutter does need to do in all locations is stop the sales staff from lingering all together outside smoking and talking and rushing customers as they pull up. It’s intimidating. Take lessons from Servco Toyota in Waipahu. They don’t have sales guys standing around like that outside. Really unprofessional and intimidating to customers.

I previously had a tire fixed at this location, and noticed that my tire was leaking from the plug. I drove there on the way home from picking up my son at the day care, and described the issue to Keoki. The guys from the service department were already gone, and I told him I could come back in the morning. He looked at the tire, and insisted that I leave the car on the lot for safety reasons. He asked if I had someone to pick us up, and I told him my wife was in a school. He offered the use of a courtesy car at no charge. That worked for me, and I was on my way once I moved over the child seat.Keiko called me the next day when it was ready. Some of the guys at the service department kept my 2 yr old entertained while I filled out the paperwork.I would have to say it was probably the best experience I have had at a car dealership. They even washed and vacuumed out the car when they were finished. Keoki and the team at Cutter Mazda Waipahu are awesome!

They tell you what you want hear then do the opposite. These guys are crooks.I paid 26k for a truck. It had a picture of a new tire- it came with that new tire but the other three are worn thin.After 2 weeks the truck developed a bad exhaust leak and then died 1hr from home. The manager Kevin called me back and gave me a complete run around on warranty issues. I paid $650 to fix myself b/c I dont care to have my children exposed to fumes blowing through the A.C..I dont expect to hear back from these guys as its been a week. The buying experience was just as bad.Unless you plan on getting a lawyer as I plan to do, go elsewhere

This dealership is by far the worst i have ever experienced.I just returned a 2008 pathfinder with 111,000 miles back to them because they couldnt find a bank to finance me although i told them right when i got there if its possible for me to get a car if my credit is bad and they assured me that i could after they seen my income.anyways i spent 6 hours there for the second time because before the pathfinder i purchased a 2010 lacrosse that i had returned to them because my loan was denied so this is the second time here in two weeks mind you i have had the lacrosse for a week only to return it but the pathfinder i had for a whole month only to find out in a tx from the sales man saying they couldnt get a bank to finance me so i need to return the car.now this is in a tx message.no apologies they didnt give me back my original paystubs that i gave them instead they gave me copies of my pay stub.they also didnt give me back the two checks i wrote for my down payment.they are very unprofessional and they do not help people with bad credit thats a lie.It is very unfair to the customer when they let u take the car home having it for a couple weeks thinking its your car only to find out your loan was denied and you need to return the car.Its a waste of the customers time and money.They get your hopes up making you think the car is yours by letting you take it home and that is so wrong.The worst part is why did it take them 30 days to find a bank when by law they have only 10 days.They only tried 3 banks and gave up my daughter got her car from cutter in pearlcity qnd they tried 12 banks until they finally got one.i should have gone there.Dont go to this dealership in waipahu they are a bunch of liars who are only thinking about how to make the company money but dont care about the customer.i will never go back there and i encourange everyone else not to come here also.I forgot to mention this but while having the pathfinder for a month i called to speak a finance manager about 3 times during the month regarding the status of my loan and all i got was there voicemail all 3 times.I left 3 messages and no one returned my call I mean how cruel is that?im trynna find out my status with this car and they left me hanging until i got a tx message saying they tried their hardest to get me financed but they were unsuccessful and i need to return the car today.May i remind you i received 3 letters from the banks that denied me only 3 so they did not try thete hardest at all.
