I love Dr. Whang’s caring and personal demeanor. He remembers me every time I go to see him and we enjoy a good visit talking about our families. He has never led me wrong in optometry care. I also appreciate his staff, especially Elizabeth who helps to find glasses for me. Great care, great services and great staff!

My family and I have seen Dr. Whang for as long as I can remember. We are happy to drive 30+ minutes one way to see him! If you are looking for an eye doctor, I highly recommend!Dr. Whang is very patient centered and works hard to help you. Also, they have strict COVID protocols in place (limiting the number of people in the office, temperature taking, etc). I felt very safe during my appointment.

I am extremely disappointed in this office and Dr. Whangs staff. My mother went here in November 2020 because her right eye had been hurting and she was having trouble seeing. He prescribed her glasses and referred her for a retina evaluation to eye consultants of nova. Funny thing is I called and they DO NOT DO RETINA EVALUATIONS. They charged her $350 for an eye exam and glasses that did not help with the fact that SHE CANT SEE OUT OF HER RIGHT EYE. My mom has trouble with English and because I couldnt go with her due to covid restrictions she decided to go here because they speak Spanish . When she tried on the glasses they prescribed her she told the receptionist she could not see still, and the girl responds with we cannot make miracles happen WHAT?! Youre an eye doctor... why couldnt she go bring out doctor whang to address my mothers concerns? Anyways since covid restrictions are a little less strict I was able to accompany her to visual health doctors of optometry and they were AMAZING. They found she had a cataract blocking the back of her eye and referred her to the correct doctor . He saw the referral doctor whang gave and even stated they dont do retina evaluations. He was also dumbfounded why she was prescribed glasses with out solving the bigger problem at hand? I hope no one goes here anymore so they can stop scamming people out of their money and providing AWFUL service.

Instead of helping me get my glasses they wouldnt bill me for 5.00 so I could get my glasses! My incurance paid 6 hundred and something dollars and they still was worried about $5.00 So I had to go all the way back home and come back

I didn’t get to meet the Dr so idk if he’s a good doctor or not. And the reason being is because the receptionist is extremely rude! I Had to walk out after waiting for an hour just to get checked in and verify my insurance. She also called my husband a liar ! Horrible place.

If you’re looking for children’s glasses, go somewhere else!We dropped our son’s frames off just before Thanksgiving to have new lenses put in. Mid-December, we received a call that the glasses were in, but had the wrong prescription. They came back in on January 15, 2021. Luckily, we took our son to the ophthalmologist the following week because she examined the lenses and discovered they were still the wrong prescription.The office staff has been unpleasant and unapologetic through this entire experience.

I called at 11.58am to book an appointment as a first time patient. The girl on the phone took my name, DOB and then put me on hold for 8.5 minutes. After that Leslie picked up and VERY unprofessionally told me to call back since they are on their break now. First of I didn’t know they close for their lunch break as I was a new patient and second why was I put on hold for AFTER getting my information? And lastly why is Leslie answered the phone if she was on her lunch break? Leslie was very rude in giving her information and her office manager’s name. Safe to say if that’s their customer service I’m glad I didn’t get to book an appointment.

I am new patient and my family kid and wife already patient with this office year ago. My experience combined was horrible. I have an appointment with the office, when arrived the receptionist told me that someone came before you earlier and can’t take you today!!!Told her are you sending me home! She said yes. Told her this is rude and i will move my wife and kid outside to other office, she said that’s fine!!My experience, even if the doctor professional or not, receptionist must behaved, responsible and have problem solving skills. Dr. Whang is very patient and thorough. His office is always clean and welcoming. He cares about his patients. I love the different styles of glasses his office offers as well. Friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend him.

My mother had to go alone to this place because of Covid, mind you her English isn’t that great. They handed her a Rx of 20/400 and didn’t explain to her what that meant..... they let her pick a $400 pair of glasses and called it a day. She went and picked them just find out she still couldn’t see! What a surprise... they took advantage of her and failed to explain from the beginning that she would not be able to see from her right eye and that she needed to see a specialist. All they cared about was the sale. And what gets me even more infuriated is they way the front desk lady says “we don’t make miracles happen” when my mom tried on her glasses and tried to explain that she she still could not see.

I took my 6 year old here to get his first real eye exam and he had a very good experience (besides getting his eyes dilated). Overall, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Dr. Whang is VERY good with kids. We will definitely be coming back for our annual exams.

The doctor is very knowledgeable, thorough and friendly. He answered all my questions. The staff is very polite and helpful with my insurance questions and ordering my glasses. I am very happy with all the precautions they are taking due to COVID and they made me feel at ease.

I’ve been going to this eye doctor for the last 3 years. They keep messing up my orders. I have to get three different pairs of glasses, and they keep mixing it up. The wrong perception with different lenses, I have to come back twice for them to get it right.

I always have an enjoyable experience at this office. The receptionists and office attendants attend to you right away. The waiting period is relatively short. Dr. Whang is efficient yet relatable. Highly recommend!

The doctor is so nice, but I came here because my insurance referred me here. I have Medicaid because I obviously cant afford much. Anyway, I was desperate need in finding a new pair of glasses but the only one that would fit my face decently was 380 dollars so I ended up getting those. Knowing that it would really hurt me but I did it anyway. They couldve referred me to a different place or anything, but obviously they wanted money so they didnt. I went home and looked online and the exact same pair is online for $200!!!!! I am incredibly upset because I feel like any doctors offices i go to doesnt care about helping but just money money money. And they refuse to refund me.

My 7 year old had his first visit to this office today and it was the worst experience for him. We were told they needed to dilate his pupils and sprayed something in his eye which burned really bad so he started to cry. Not only did the lady who spray his eye not inform us ahead of time that it would burn, but she was unsympathetic to him crying and just stood there staring at him without an apology to finish BURNING his other eye while her coworker came next to her with a laughing smirk on her face as if she was making fun of him for crying. HE IS 7 YEARS OLD LADY!Dr. Whang and Elizabeth are nice and professional all the time, but they seem to have bad luck in hiring professional people, Especially the two girls at the front desk. The office does not feel welcoming at all and none of the girls smile. We spent almost two hours in there and I didn’t see any of the staff smile, laugh or casually interact with any of the patients, especially the children. I did however see the two up front talking about other patients. How sad. We will definitely not be returning there.

They need to come up with a better schedule handler and time management tool. Waiting in the reception area for more than an hour; even though I arrived for my appointment on time. Receptionists need professional training. Ive seen Dr. Whang before. He is a great doctor

Here, here, Dr. Whang and his staff are truly awesome indeed. The only reason I am not giving them five stars is that I really would like to see them offer more extended hours either during the week or on Saturday. As great as they are, they need to let more working people have access to them! The doctor is very nice and helpful, but he needs to get rid of the receptionist. The young women at the front are very unprofessional. Under no circumstances would I want to go to any doctors office where the employees talk about patients right after they walk out of the door. These women are not in an enclosed area, so other patients can hear them. One receptionist in particular must be new, well I hope that is the excuse, because she tells patients that they are done and as they are walking out, someone else has to call them back. She doesnt acknowledge her mistakes and puts it on the patients. I watched her walk away as another employee had to explain that an exam wasnt over to a mother after just telling the woman and her daughters that they can leave. She did the same with me and shouted across the parking lot to try to call me out after I sat there waiting on paperwork for a few minutes. When I calmly stated to her that she could have handled both situations differently and explained that in both situations that I witnessed she wasnt clear with the patients, she got defensive and started mumbling under her breath.I will go somewhere else for my next exam. Professionalism is important in all business establishments, especially ones related to a persons health.

I love Dr. Whang. We always have meaningful conversations even though I know that he doesnt remember me. I like all of the receptionists except for one who got very annoyed when I opted to come back and order my glasses later.

I had to have my glasses made twice and went back to this place several times trying to get my contact prescription correct. Almost a year later of dealing with this I was referred to an optometrist by an ophthalmologist after discussing my experience. Come to find out my glasses prescription was still wrong since it wasnt adjusted for my astigmatism and I never did get the correct contact prescription which I paid out of pocket for almost a year ago. Now I have to pay out of pocket not only for more new contacts, but also have to pay out of pocket for my corrected glasses prescription.

The staff & doctor are very friendly and helpful with the insurance information and paperwork. We love all the great styles of eyewear that they have to offer. They are very prompt with our appointment that is scheduled, and very thorough with the eye exams.

This place is horrible!!! The receptionist was rude and the Dr. was not professional at all!!! He reviewed the list of medicines I was on ( because they ask you this in the forms) and started giving me advice about whether or not I should be taking it. The medicine was a fertility drug and I am under the careful eye of my reproductive endocrinologist. This medicine does not effect my eye sight in any way and the advice he gave was WRONG!! I thought this was rude and unprofessional. I came for an eye exam and to get a contact prescription not to have him give advice about my REI medicine. They are also extremely over priced!! If you have Tricare do not go here. Whatever insurance you have, DO NOT GO HERE! I paid $100 for an eye exam. Just awful!

Dr. Whang and his Staff have been, simply put, Awesome! Dr. Whang has been providing me and my children our vision care for 5 years now and we couldnt be happier! He is great with my kids and they really enjoy him working with them at thier level. The staff is incredibly friendly and supportive of all our needs especially when it comes to the challend of scheduling appointments around very hectic lives! Dr. Whangs knowledge, willingness, and ability to explain exam results and plans for corrective action is always easy to understand and feel comfortable with. I am very thankful that my family and I are patients of his.

Frames are great and tuff, but glasses aint fully medicated only a small center line check your child lenses, must.
