Walked in and was told I had to wear a mask. Told them, Goodbye! Wont be spending my time or money here. Governor Abbott has an executive order to ban masks. Theres no pandemic going on. We live in the country and dont wear masks. Havent since over 6 months ago. We cant believe how many people still wear them when we have to go to Austin. You are all controlled by the government. Should be a choice.

The Staff was very friendly and professional. The sign in went smoothly. My appointment was at 1:30 p.m. and I got there at 12:30 p.m. I used a Medical Transportation System and thats why I arrived so early.I was called back at 1:20...took all the eye tests...eye exam performed and at 2:00 p.m....I was looking at frames.So at 2:15 p.m., I was waiting for my ride back to my residence. I have been going to Innovative Eyecare for over seven years!!!

Really great first experience with Innovative Eyecare this morning. I have been going to Oak Hill Eye Care for the last 5-6 years, but after two really bad experiences with both the optics folks and for an annual exam I decided to try another practice. Really easy to make an appointment and complete new patient details online. Check-in was easy and my exam started within a few moments of my arrival. Dr. Collins was the Optometrist for my visit...she was very thorough and empathetic. And then I ordered a pair of glasses Mike Robinson who was equally awesome. So excited to have a new optometry practice for my family of 5! THANK YOU!!!

I was surprisingly able to get a same day appointment (I’m guessing because they had a cancellation) but everyone was super helpful. Dr Collins was very easy to talk to and understand and I feel like she understood my issues. I don’t remember the names of the optical techs that did my work up or that helped me pick my glasses and wrap up my visit, but they were both great. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend them.

Went to see Dr. McQueen for the first time today for some eye dryness and redness that’s been bothering me for weeks. He was so nice and his patient care was great. The tech that did my prerequisite exams and roomed me was very friendly knowledgeable. The doctor was thorough and patient. The technician that helped me with my frames and PD was very attentive and helped me with trying on and picking my frames. All around it was a pleasant experience.Generally when I go other eye doctors they seem to rush me through the exam and the process of picking out glasses. I’ve never been so comfortable getting new glasses.

The tech who tested my eyes and Dr. Thai were kind, professional, and knowledgeable. My appointment was fast but thorough.

I was refused to be seen because I would not wear a mask, despite the state of Texas and CDC stating the fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a paper mask. This was a medical eye appointment. Another patient wear a Gather mask was also thrown out. Later after the police arrived, the doctor/owner arrived and admitted the other patient, yet I was still refused. I have complied with mandates but these are no longer required, why would you exclude a fully vaccinated person? I guess refusing to give up your civil liberty is reason enough, so he it.

I had a great experience here at Innovative Eyecare. They were able to see me right after I checked in for my appointment. I didn’t have to wait that typical 10-15 minutes a lot of doctors offices make you wait once you get checked in. The gentleman that assisted me with getting new prescription glasses was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The entire staff is welcoming, and gets you in and out without the feeling of being rushed. They are also extremely clean and careful amidst this pandemic. Eye exam appointment is always very professionally handled, lots of sophisticated equipment to check the health and performance of your eyes. It makes the actual selection of prescription lenses go much faster. Everyone is also very friendly, explaining everything that is going on. This is probably my 8th year going to them for my annual checks, they are awesome!

I was from out of town and needed emergency help with a chronic eye condition. They were incredibly gracious and accommodating, and got me an appt on short notice. They have the latest technology and were very professional. I also appreciated that they were respectful of Covid protection protocol, including getting me into a treatment room in a timely manner so I was not left exposed in the waiting room. The support staff were friendly snd efficient. I recommend them highly. If I lived in Austin I would definitely choose them as my provider.

Ive been to a lot of Optometrists and Dr. Shelly Collins is the best! She takes time, is thorough and really listens to your concerns and is very patient. She allowed me to try a few different contact brands for 2 weeks and then I was able to make an informed choice. They have fast service for ordering contacts and another bonus is they are open on Saturdays!

I have been a customer for several years and until today, have been pleased. I need to see an eye doctor to have my eye examined due to an acute issue. It would be considered an office visit and I will pay out of pocket. The representative refused to even give me an estimate...even a general idea...as to the cost. I would be at their mercy to charge me anything they want. Ridiculous. What if the say it’s thousands of dollars. I’d be on the hook. I’ll never return. Such a shame they choose to do business this way.

Despite wearing safety goggles, my husband had a sliver of metal land in his eye. He met with Dr. McQueen, who was able to quickly remove it. Dr. McQueen and his staff were very kind and professional. We have a high deductible plan, and the fees were very reasonable. Highly recommend!!edited to add: 1 year after my husbands debacle, our 7 year old daughter got something stuck in her eye that was causing a lot of irritation and pain. We couldnt see anything and a saline eye rinse didnt help, so we brought her to Dr. McQueen. He saved the day again and dislodged a big speck of dirt that was stuck high up in her upper lid. It took less than 5 minutes- we are so happy with Dr. McQueen and his friendly staff!

Ive been going for 3-4 years. Excellent service. Staff are helpful in person and over the phone so its easy to book appointments and get answers. They accept a variety of insurance plans so thats been super convenient! In my case, contacts are reasonably priced and I order in bulk a few times per year.

Ive seen them for progressive lenses, reading glasses and computer glasses. Dr. McQueen is great. I always feel theyre willing to spend all the time thats needed to make sure I get the right prescription and answer any questions I have. Dr. McQueen tested me for the computer glasses at the distance I had measured to my screens at home using his computer screens -- how cool is that! All the staff is friendly and on top of things.
