The service was Amazing. The doctor took her time to explain to me the pictures of my eyes step by step. She was listening to my concerns and she answer all my questions. The staff in the front was Amazing and very helpful when I was trying different frames for my new pair of glasses. Great experience since I enter the door everyone was great!! Thank You
Friendly staff that has been working here for decades. A wide assortment of frames/sunglasses, many exam rooms, high tech equipment for exams, and a showroom fish tank to gaze into while you wait. Theyll handle all the vision AND medical insurance claims related to your glasses/contacts/sunglasses and any eye issues you may encounter during exam. Highly recommended!
First time here. The check in process was smooth! Vision Wellness exam was through and quick. Dr Lemanski was kind and very passionate. Will definitely recommend.
Just had my annual eye exam and they were very efficient in getting through the process. The staff is very pleasant and always helpful. Dr Lemanski was great and very nice!
Always an amazing and joyful experience. Thank you. You have never disappointed. My Family Love when it is exam time.
I have been going to Parmer Eye Care since I first moved to Austin when I was 18 years old. Im now 38 and continue to be a loyal patient of theirs. I dont know why it took me 20 years to write this review (Partly due to my lack of computer literacy...and when I first started to use Parmer Eye Care, I didnt own a car, TV, or computer, as I was a young and broke college kid).Having said all that, I typically visit Dr. Sundra Lemanski and occasionally have the opportunity to work with Garin Wootton. All of the staff is super friendly. Its people like Tanya Martin who make me feel like family when I come in for my annual exam.Last week, was the first Ive visited the office in almost two years (partly because of the pandemic and also due to being laid off twice over the past 18 months). One of the lenses fell out of my only pair of glasses so I brought them up the road of Parmer Lane to see if they could help. I left the glasses with a gal behind the desk, and without pulling up my account, she said that she would have Garin take a look once he returned to the office. Within the hour, I received a call from P.E.C. to let me know that my glasses were fixed. Wow! They did all this on the spot and with a lobby full of socially respectful patients. Its this type of friendly, personable, and professional service that keeps me a loyal client and keeps me from purchasing my glasses and contacts online. They have a wide variety of frames onsite, but they can order just about anything on the market. The same is true with contacts (which I typically prefer over my glasses). In my opinion, theres not substitute for the level of service Ive received from Parmer Eye Cares over the past two decades.
Very friendly and professional. Jessica was great when doing the eye test and Desiree was a great help picking out glasses frames. Dr. S. Explained everything very well, friendly and professional. Great place to do business with.
Wonderful! Prompt service. I felt the Dr was very knowledgeable, and the whole staff was friendly. Their rates can’t be beat! I’ll be taking my family here going forward.
Satisfied customer!! All the ladies were super nice. I was explained everything about my eyes and what I needed to do to keep my eyes healthy.
Excellent service both from the support staff & Doctors! Highly recommend! Very knowledgeable, listens & treats every patient with their full attention.
These folks are amazing. Dr. Lemanski met me after 10pm on a weekend at the clinic to treat an emergency eye situation I had (always wear your safety goggles, children...). She cheerfully met me after hours and quickly treated the problem. I was sent home with good care instructions and a follow-up appointment for the next day (yes, theyre open Saturdays!). Everyone was super professional and my emergency situation was taken care of competently. Perhaps best of all, I was billed a VERY reasonable amount. I cant imagine what an ER trip would have cost and they wouldnt have been able to treat my problem anyway!
Best eye doctor in Austin Area! I have a pleasure to be in same group with Dr. Lemanski. She and her team are professional, friendly and super helpful. I highly recommend!Review update: I finally went to get my exe exam done. From the moment I stepped it I was greeted by friendly stuff members. They took my information and asked me to fill out new patience form. In 5 mins I was asked to come in to start the process. Kaitlyn had used 4 types of high end equipment to check my eye, by scanning, checking for a bright light, etc. The process was very thorough. I have never done some of the tests. Than Dr. Lemanski took a look at my results and explained me everything going on with my eyes. I spend a lot of time on screens and was little worried. But everything was ok. She than instead of diluting my eyes to check the back of it took a picture of it using another high end equipment. I was able to look at the structure of my eye which was amazing. Our eyes are so complex similar to how galaxy looks. Overall it was a great experience.
Everyone was very friendly and explained things very well. Ill be happy to continue to return for our families eye care needs!
I love Dr. Lamanski, and the thoroughness that she provides when you go in and see her. They have the latest in equipment, so you feel like you’re getting the best of both worlds with both the technology of determining the right corrective eye wear for you, but also awesome customer service! They go out of their way with making sure what your receiving from them fits right and feels right and suits your needs. She never tries to sell you anything you don’t want or need. Highly recommend her and Parmer Eye Care for all your vision needs!!
Dr Lemanski was very kind and passionate about her job and service to me, the client. The staff were all nice and made you feel comfortable. I would highly recommend going here for your eye needs. They also have top of the line equipment they use for the best results.
Dr. Lemanski answered all of my questions and explained things clearly, professionally, and amicably. I highly recommend this optometrist.
I visited parmer eye Care on March 5th 2021. I had scheduled two appointments for that day one for my daughter and the other for myself. the staff was kind, courteous, and professional. they were very helpful with the process of selecting glasses and billing. However, I found Dr Marissa Soong to be both condescending and callous during the actual exam. During the exam I mentioned I was taking a form of vitamin A, (Isotretinoin) and that it could result in dryness in my eye. she totally dismissed this claim and said she had never heard of that before. during the exam I remarked that ocular tonometry was useful in determining if someone is at risk for glaucoma.... and she replied that I must be confused.I have been going to eye exams since I was 12. I am 46 now. this was one of the more unpleasant experiences. I will return to parmer eye care but I will not have an exam with dr marissa soong. she lacks the professionalism and demeanor I have come to expect from others in her field.
Good experience with nice workers. I was charged a weird $40 fee ($25 with my insurance, but still) for some photos taken of my eyes that I was not aware of and nobody told me about. This is a big reason for my 4-star instead of 5-star because you absolutely need to consult your patient if you are going to be adding on hidden fees. However, once I brought it up with them that I was not aware of this fee they waived it for me no problem. Glasses are a little expensive for my taste, but after several broken glasses over the years I’m due for some high quality ones and I feel that this place offers the best. Thank you Parmer Eye Care!
These people were friendly, efficient, and professional at their work. Thank you!
Best eye exam I have ever had. Dr. Soong was very thorough and the staff as well. Appointment starting on time always a plus.
They charge you $39 dollars for some pictures they take to the back of your eye, and then $90 more for a contact lenses fit, which means they give you one pair of contacts to try them out, i feel scammed every time i come here. I have insurance but i pay so much every time i come here! Plus even if I have an app they always make me wait for the doctor for so long, today i was in the room waiting for 30 minutes only for the doctor to come see me, i understand that an emergency can happen but at least come and let me know when it does! I dont recommend this place!
Called to schedule a routine exam. Was told by an associate my insurance would not pay for it since I had an exam in December 2019. I tried to explain to the associate my insurance follows a calendar year system and the benefits start over again on January 1st. But she would not listen. And I called my insurance company to confirm I was eligible and didnt have to wait until December 2020.Been going there for 8 years, but no more. Try listening to the customer. Very disappointing.
All of the staff are super helpful. The office is well run and strictly following CoVid guidelines. I even got help picking out my glasses since it’s hard to do wearing a mask. Excited that we just found our new family eye doctor!
I called at 8am and was seen at 2:40pm that same day. Everyone in the office was a pleasure to deal with, from the first phone call to schedule, to the technician that sat me in the examination room, to the Doctor that saw me. Even though I dont wear glasses (I was seen for a minor eye injury), I noticed that they had a massive selection of different styles and brands on display.Give them a shot. They are very nice people.
Dr Lemanski and the entire staff were incredible. they did a great job with social distancing and keeping everything meticulously clean. It was a very thorough exam. I highly recommend Parmer Eye Care.
I somehow managed to get bathroom cleaner in my eye and called to see what I needed to do. They got me in same day. All the doctors are great and Customer Service is alive and thriving at Parmer Eye Care. Great experience!
Dr Brinchman is fantastic! He is truly a great eye doctor. I recommend him highly. He was the best Ive gone to and I have used Austin Eye and others. I have had glasses for over 50 years. Seen alot if Drs. The office has a great location. Plenty of parking. His nurse Desiree was very competent. Love the doc!!!
Belen, Wendy, Desiree, Lou and Dr. Soong are amazing! They take our communities safety seriously and make sure to go above and beyond with Covid precautions. If you need glasses or contacts this is the place to go! I will be a lifelong client.
Nice, thorough exam and a very friendly staff!
So i have been here before and i was already not a fan of the front desk ladies, but because of them i will not be coming back to this office and will take my services elsewhere. Unfortunately, my medical insurance with my employer had to get cancel so i was fully are that i would be self pay. I asked about how much the service would cost and the lady i spoke to when i made the appointment, told me that it would just have to depend on the services that were going to be provided but she didnt have a correct amount to give me. I had informed her, that due to unforeseen circumstances, that i would only be able to make a partial payment(just had to do this at the dentist) and she said wait and see what the Dr. said first. I work in medical myself(Oncology), and i have NEVER turned away a patient who couldnt make a full payment but as long as something was paid toward that service for that day; they were able to be seen. I had to go over the insurance part with three different ladies and when i got pulled back i let her know how much i could pay today and pay the rest next Friday. My eye has been red and itching and i suspect it is allergies, but just wanted to make sure it isnt an infection since it has been hurting slightly when i wear my contacts. She went out to talk to someone and told me i had two options, pay the full $75 or reschedule for when i had the money. She didnt try to work with me, didnt really seem to care either way, and i find the fact that i took off work to come to this appointment but couldnt even be seen; a complete waste of time when i should have been told this information over the phone. I understand that you run a business, but it really isnt a good look when you arent willing to work with your patients at all. Also, the front desk ladies need to work on their professionalism and mannerisms when they are dealing with someone in a tough situation and show a little compassion. Luckily, i was able to find another Dr. who doesnt mind doing split payments but they wont be able to see me until next week. I just hope i really dont have an eye infection that got refused to be treated.
Staff was kind and good at what they do. The optometrist was straight forward and informative.
Very helpful and i was in and out pretty quickly!
First time there today for an eye exam. The Girls upfront were quick to assist me in getting all the paperwork done (Excellent Customer Service!). Desiree was kind, funny, and attentive when preparing information for doctor. She explained each step of the procedure in detail and with care. Dr. Sandra was exceptional in her approach to inform me about what was going on regarding any stigmatism, any corrective measures needed for my vision, and even gave me options on lens and frames to fit my personal needs. The Girls were a phenomenal team with world-class service.:) 5 stars!
Very friendly staff and they even fixed my old glasses for me
Very professional friendly and knowledgeable
What a great place. Our insurance sent us here and I doubt my husband or I will use another optometrist or eyeglass store again. Dr. Lemanski really makes you at ease and answers all of your questions. The whole staff is knowledgeable, attentive and personable.
Very pleased with Dr Garvin. She answered all my questions in a way that I could understand. I would recommend her to all my family and friends. Very satisfied!
Really professional. Wonderful staff. My wife and I have always been treated very well there. Dr. Lemanski is excellent.
Really incredible doctors and staff. Dr. Garvin is the best, very knowledgeable and helpful on how to improve eye health. Nice friendly office staff and they put me under digital heat which made my poor allergy eyes much better!
I had a BLAST at this office. The entire staff is energetic, welcoming and genuine. I enjoyed myself the entire time as the assistants joked with me and listened to my silliness. I felt so comfortable there and I almost didn’t want to leave because I felt like we connected. I could see myself getting drinks with them all. That being said, they were very knowledgeable and professional so it was not off putting. They seem adaptable and can handle anyone. The doctor I saw was a step-in from Tyler, Tx. He was great, kind and thorough. He was patient with me when I would ask if he could go back and try the other lenses again because it was sometimes tricky for me to tell if there was a difference. He was also really good at explaining how to put on and take off contacts as it was my first time!!! He made me feel like a pro and gave me the information needed to feel like “I got this”!Though this was just my first time, I highly recommend it if this is the experience I will get each time. I have a feeling I will as they seemed down to earth, honest, caring professionals.
All staff was phenomenal and professional. They explained everything in my exam in a great way that was very easy to understand. They had the latest technology and everything was very streamlined. Would recommend !
Dr. Lemanski and her staff are amazing! Ive been going to Dr. Lemanski for 3 years now. She is thorough, thoughtful and so so knowledgeable. This past year, I had a little eye emergency and she got me in the next day! And that was in the middle of COVID! BEST, BEST Eye Doctor!!
Dr. Lemanski is an exceptional eye doctor! She is professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We are very happy with her services. Her staff is great and efficient. After many years of going to different eye doctors, we have finally found our family eye doctor!
UPDATE! I would like to thank the office manager Garin for taking the time to make my experience better.I have been going to them for several years. They gone down hill! They NEVER answer the phone, they close the office randomly. I have driven over to pick up my very expensive glasses 2x only to find them close. Today was the second time, it’s so frustrating!! I’m not sure when I’ll get my glasses. So if you want horrible customer service, this is the place.
I am absolutely thrilled with the care and service I have received here. I recommend it most highly.
Awesome from start to finish. Went due to a slowly worsening case of awful night driving. Lindsay was delightful, as was the doctor. They dont do the weird blow-air-into-your-eyes thing that I remember hating back in the day. And they took a 360 degree picture of my entire eyeball (which was oddly comfortable to do). And best of all, prices were right in line with expectations.Absolutely my one stop shop for eyewear /vision needs. Great service and cutting edge tech. 👍
I never knew I was having a bad experience going to the optometrist until I came here and had a great one! The staff is amazing and Dr. Garvin was the most thorough eye doctor I have ever had. I highly recommend Parmer Eye Care! Next level eye care!
Wonderful service. Very friendly, professional and helpful.
It was my first time at parmer eye care. It was a good experience overall. They were all friendly. My doctor was super nice and super helpful and explained ever step since this was my first eye care experience. I definitely recommend them!
I highly recommend Parmer Eye Care to anyone looking for high-quality eye care. It has a great selection of frames, fantastic prices and an exceptional team. They are always friendly and welcoming and strive to make you feel as comfortable as possible during your visit.
The optometrist said, The glands in your eyes are atrophying. It must be because youve stared at an iPad since you were a child. I laughed because the way she said it was so rude. Im too old to have had Ipads in my childhood. I was a child in the 90s. The 1st Ipad came out in 2010. I said, Maybe I sat a little to close to the TV, like my mother always warned me. She said in a rude tone, No way! Of course not. Thats not it. TVs dont produce the same intensity as those Ipads. She talked in a condescending tone the rest of the appointment. Theyre alright for what they do. That type of treatment is uncalled for. One of the women working upfront overheard the optometrist. She was really trying to help and provide great customer service to me. I hope she doesnt treat them like that too.
Great experience. Extremely nice people!!
I took my 11 year-old-daughter in to have her eyes checked for the first time. The exam was quick and thorough. Each procedure was explained before it was done. Both my daughter and myself were made to feel calm and comfortable the entire visit. Staff members were professional yet friendly. Convenient location. Would have no issues recommending to anyone.
Did annual regular checkup for me and my family here. I was just happy with them butMy disappointment was their WiFi, I planned to work from there while waiting for my family checkup, but no one there knows the WiFi password, but they proudly mentioned that they have free WiFi, without correct password it’s waste, I finally had to take off for half day from work
Parmer Eye Care is great! I had received a direct shot of brake cleaner in my right eye. I called them all freaked out because I had blurry vision. Once I got there I had immediate attention and my eye will be fine. Dr Lemanski could see exactly where the spray hit my eye. I highly recommend them!Shane.
This was a great experience at Parmer Eye Care! The receptionists were super friendly and helpful. They were most understanding when I was almost ten minutes late due to traffic. The eye exam was as smooth as can be, with no issues. They dont even have to dilate your eyes with drops! The big eye scanning machine can do that!Saw some complaints about lots of questions, but they explained every question they had and why it was important to know. I had no idea the cyst removed years ago near my eye could have cause vision issues (Luckily it didnt!). And again, their at this point your doctor, so yeah theyre going to have some questions. Nothing was invasive, and they were totally understanding when I told them not only was I currently were old contacts (broke my glasses) but that the glasses were out of date as was my prescription. As for picking frames themselves, the store stayed open about a good half hour longer while I was being picky about frames. The staff were even trying to help me pick out frames! Not something that you usually get as eye places tend to be super busy! Will definitely come back here for my next visit.
THIS PLACE ROCKS!! I cant say enough good about Parmer eye care. They are fast, friendly and very knowledgeable on what will best suit each individual patient. I would highly recommend them!
Small shop but big on service. Lots of frames to choose from and a convenient location for eye exams. Bought several pairs of glasses here with no complaints. Friendly and thorough.
It has been two weeks now and my glasses is not ready to pick up yet. I have to call the office to check my glassess status but the rep said that the lab broke the frame and they had to order another frame. If you want to get your glasses for faster return time, do not go here!!!
I chose Parmer Eye Care pretty much at random from the list my insurance had and I am extremely happy I did. I was able to get an appointment quickly and the registration process was easy albeit kind of lengthy but most medical registrations are. The staff here are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient. I would highly recommend Parmer Eye Care if you are looking for a place that makes you feel welcome and appreciated as a customer both on the phone and the minute you step foot in the door.
Honestly, best experience Ive ever had at an optical office! They have all the new tech that skips the most uncomfortable parts: the pressure air puffs, dilation drops, etc. Staff is so friendly and patient and they got me the cheapest years supply of contacts Ive ever had with no compromises!
Great team at Parmer Eye Care. Dr. Lamanski and team were great.
The optometrists here are quick and professional. They let you know if anything is going be an extra charge and make sure to go over your visit cost. Their frames are a bit expensive, but have a few ones available that arent too bad. I will definitely be a patient/customer here for a long time!
A long time and satisfied customer, however rating two star now hopefully to get their attention. The two star rating is for the front desk employees only. They greet you politely with either no smile or seemingly fake smile. You feel unwelcome in short. You dare not ask questions or they will make you feel stupid. We like to go back so we hope that the front desk staff gets retrained on proper customer service.
My eye doctor was a great doctor i was very impressed with the service i got. Only complaint is i used my insurance and they took a picture of my eye. The eye doctor ask me if i wanted to go over the picture with him of course i was like yes. But come to find out that cost money not provided by insurance. To my surprise i had to pay 30 something dollard at my checkout for that. So i will never go back back i felt like i got scam on that. I thought it was just included in my exam. Not the eye doctor fault. I think its more of a company way to scam people
I went to my regular medical Doctors office and was loaded down with different antibiotics, but my eye condition continued to worsen and it looked really bad. My wife managed to make contact with Dr. Lamenski even though the business was closed as it was a holiday. The next morning, the staff called me instead of waiting for me to call, to schedule an appointment time for me that morning. I arrived and they were busy but Dr. Lamenski saw me right away and did a very in depth examination. Much more than I had at the previous medical practitioner. It was found I did not have a serious eye infection after all and that the antibiotics were unnecessary. Doctor Lamenski took photos of my eye and showed me where a blood vessel had broken and explained more about how the redness, which was a blood pattern, was not one of infection. Ive always said when using a professional, use one who specializes and use the best. If I had listened to my own advice, I would have seen Dr. Lamenski first and that would have saved me time and the money wasted on medication for a condition I did not have. It is very apparent that she cares about her patients. Wait, Im not through yet. As I was preparing to leave I complained about the glasses I had gotten from an eyeglass place at the mall. Office staff inspected my glasses, removed the too small plastic nose pieces, and put on larger silicone nose pieces. Now my glasses fit. Sometimes we need to stop, step back, take a breath, and realize how blessed our life truly is.
I’ve been going here for a few years. I’ve never been unsatisfied with anything. In the past I have picked my contacts order up at the office. But this time I decided to go ahead and have them delivered to my house. I received a text a few days after my appt that said they were ready for pick-up at the office. So I responded something like, thanks but I had them delivered and wasn’t sure why they were there. Who knows, maybe I just thought I had them delivered. It’s possible. Then a very sweet woman shows up at my front door with my contacts! That’s just crazy customer service. Wow.
Deception!! - I went in for my annual check up . The front staff started the checkup by taking pictures of my eyes with fancy gadgets. They used a gadget to take a picture of my eye interiors which had a bright bang flash. After taking the pictures, they took me to Doctors room and told me that if Dr were to review these pictures it would cost $39, the other option covered by insurance is to dilate the pupil with a eye drop which would add another 20 minutes of my time and light sensitivity for 5 hours. My question : why wasnt i told about the hidden charge before taking photos of my eye interiors? I wasnt even told about these two options. What is the need for this deception trick?
I had my first experience at Parmer Eye Care last week, after not having been to an eye appointment in about 3 years. I was delighted with how quickly I was called back, and how quickly the doctor came in. Dr. Khanh was friendly, outgoing, extremely informative, and had a great personality. She taught me tons of new things I had no idea about. The staff there was very helpful and informative and seemed to enjoy their job. I am so glad I found this place!!!
My family has been using Parmer Eye Care for 15 years now. Dr. Lemanski is the best Doctor for us.. The staff is very helpful and professional. We would give an A++ for their services. We highly recommend them!
Everyone was great and so professional. I really liked this office a lot.
The front desk is not welcoming and professional (I may be referring to some and not all). It seems like they are not interested in attending to you. Asked several particulars and yet I have to fill up a patient form with most entries the same question asked earlier. In general first impression is really bad but I heard tech and Dr are good. However, it gave me a reason to drop by 2 other eye care along parmer.
I have been here several times and never have had any real issues. The front desk ladies arent the friendliest but I do know the older lady has been with the company for the longest and she always seems to be that way when Im in here. The eye assistants on the other hand, always seem to be upbeat and friendly. While I was waiting, a man came in and yelled to be checked in before he got charged a no-show fee for being stuck in traffic. I, myself was stuck in traffic and had to call to inform them I would be late and didnt want that fee. The nice eye assistant, explained their policy and said they are willing to work with patients within reason but it was mainly for people who actually didnt show up for their appointments. All in all, the visit went well and I will continue to come here.
The staff was great, the doctor (Dr Lemanski) was funny, engaging, knowledge and clear in explanation on the exam. I didnt have to wait very long for the doctor and never felt rushed. They also have tons of frames to choose from and their prices arent very expensive at all. Im glad I found their office.
I have been using Parmer Eye Care since 1998! Most of the staff is still the same. That says a lot about a business. Doc L is knowledgeable and stays up to date on all the latest in eye care and eye wear. The staff is uber friendly. I have no desire to go anywhere else for my eye care.
Dr Lemansky and her team at Parker Eye Care are the top in the area. They are highly experienced and professional and go the extra mile for their clients. I appreciate them every time I go in.
Ive been coming here for years. Dr. Khanh is funny, cool, and very professional. She knows her stuff! I had a spot on the back of my eye. She worked quickly with a specialist to have it checked out. It ended up just being a harmless freckle, but she was adamant about ruling out anything bad. She is always trying to help me out. She explains what my insurance can and cannot help with. She is AMAZING, and I will never want to go to another doctor.
Dr. Lemanski and her team are truly the best. My lipiflow treatment was like going to a spa. Great service! Hot coffee from Tezpresso, a weighted blanket, relaxing chair. Lindsey went above and beyond to make it an experience, not an appointment. Been coming here for years and can’t imagine getting this care and expertise anywhere else.
My experience at Parmer Eye Care was great. Dr. Khann and everyone I spoke with was very friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful. My eye exam was smooth & efficient, and everything was explained to me very clearly. If Im still in the Austin area, I will very likely return for my next pair of contacts/glasses.
My wife and I have been with Parmer Eye Care since 2001! Dr. Lemanski is patient and thorough with her evaluation -- I have very picky vision requirements and conditions. Her staff has always been skilled and friendly with getting our lenses made and re-made if needed. I highly recommend Parmer Eye Care and Dr. Lemanski!
Had an Excellent Visit.. staff was friendly, doctor was thorough.. very fast in getting insurance information and convenient store hours.. Highly recommend them as Your EyeCare provider
I was seeking 2nd opinion from Parmer Eye Care on glasses which didnt seem right from another eye care provider. I was delighted with appointment made for next morning. I did sit in waiting room for 20+ minutes but when it was my turn with Dr. Lemanski, I was not rushed at all. She was friendly, explained all steps in process, offered options, and very thorough. The staff was very helpful and promptly led me through checkout process. I recommend them to anyone wanting state-of-art care by expert clinicians.
Can get an appointment quickly. Friendly. Good care. They have that machine that takes a picture of your eyes so you dont have to be dialated. Convenient.
We had a great experience at Parmer eye care. Dr. Catherine Albrecht is simply awesome
No waiting time!!! I went to check and got to know that one of my eyes got infection. Right diagnose by the Doctor, good job Doctor!!!. . Got samples too from the doctor since the eye drops were expensive for infections. Doctor and co-workers are very friendly. My blurred eyes got cured within 3 weeks time and got the right glasses. Thank you Parmer eye care at W Parmer Lane Austin 78717.
Rude checkin clerk. Didn’t see her as we were 4 minutes late, and that is after she put our phone on hold for 5 minutes. Avoid this place, as they don’t work with people, but are ego maniacal.
They were very knowledgeable with the insurance I carry and the doctor answered all questions I had. The staff was extremely friendly and I had a pleasant experience overall.
*Please reconsider if youre considering coming in w/a Groupon because your prescription order may not be prioritized like other patients.Ill preface saying I rarely leave reviews, let alone a bad one.Busy office but VERY FRIENDLY staff. I was initially very happy to come here on a Groupon deal. But after receiving my eyeglasses almost 6 WEEKS (Jan 23, 2019) after my first appointment (on Dec 7th) when initially told itd be 10-14 days. Honestly, Im less upset about how long it took but whats most upsetting & disappointing is that eyeglass order was continuously ignored. I came in for additional appointments for contacts and picking up on Dec 17, Dec 24, Jan 2nd and they never confirmed or assured my glasses were still in process. I had to ask every single time, are my glasses in? and Id get the same reply, Theyre not in but they should be in next week at most by Friday. Finally on Jan 2nd appointment I refused to leave without an answer of WHEN I would get my glasses. The receptionist made a phony call to some lab, while I was standing there (I know it was phony because there was NO VOICE on the other line vs I could hear voices when the phone actually rang). Anyways, she gets me to leave because she promises shell find out by the end of the day and give me a call. She then leaves me a voicemail later saying the lab unfortunately couldnt get my frame, so theyll send in another order and itll take another 2 weeks. No apology given. Im not even asking for a genuine apology, just no apology whatsoever. Basically, NO ONE bothered to actually check on my order the first time it surpassed 10-14 days and subsequent appointments I came in for. I wanted to talk to a manager that day, yet was given a business card to call Garrin because hes conveniently not in (they lack an urgency to resolve a patient’s concerns).I left him a voicemail and have yet to hear back. Went into office again Jan 22 and was told I should leave an email or possibly catch him in the mornings. Convenient. Certainly this was their chance to win an upset customer/ patient back. However, lack of effort equals loss of money and reputation. Wont be recommending this place.
I went to Parmer Eye Care for the first time last year and had my eyes examined by Dr. Sundra Lemanski. I had no doubt whatsoever that I would return this year. She is very comfortable to be with, takes her time and does a thorough exam, explaining as she goes along. The staff is equally as wonderful. I will highly recommend this office!
Ive been using Parmer Eye Care for two years now. Ive seen both Dr. Lemanski and Dr. Khanh, and both were very professional and helpful. The staff is very friendly and willing to help however they can. Ive had a couple of issues with insurance, and they were persistent in following up and ensuring I received the benefits from my insurance as I was supposed to. Additionally, when I was first trying out contacts again (after many years of not wearing contacts), they were very flexible in working with me to find the right pair. I ended up trying 3 different trial lenses to find something that would really work. I highly recommend them!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all the questions i asked with complete knowledge. Dr. Khanh was a true professional...
Showed up for my appt at 3 to then be told the dr is running several patients behind and he will not have time to see me before he leaves ... I didnt receive a phone call to notify me. I made an appt with a different office.
Ive gone to many different places around the country for glasses and count my experience at Parmer Eye Care as the best Ive had. I learned more in my time with Dr. Khanh about my eyes and eye health than I ever had before. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make the entire experience as pleasant as possible. Thanks, Parmer Eye Care!
Very disappointed. This came up as a surprise to us - we brought the Groupon coupon at $66 for an eye exam and that claims to offer $175 in discount towards lens and frame package. After the preliminary exam; the lady handed us a laminated copy of readout. We didnt read this obviously as we just thought another copy of documents that she wanted us to show the doctor. We got to know about this document that claims to pay if the doctor $39 if the doctor review the Optomap routine wellness photo. We wouldnt have ever opted for it if we know that were paying for it neither she didnt mention. I started reading two lines of the document and the doctor was in already. Doctor did ask if i would like to review the Optomap - she didnt even mention that this means i was paying for it.I paid $66 through Groupon and $39 for this that ended up at $105 while many other standard eye exams are costing $75. The frames are very costly and not many options to choose from....i asked if i can use the credit ($175) towards the lens so i can get a frame from outside...Nope...they dont like it either.....total Rip off!! You dont know you are getting into a mess after all this...
Had an emergency eye issue and they squeezed me in immediately. Also managed to find me an appointment the next day for a needed follow up. I cant thank them enough for taking care of me so well.
The team at Parmer Eye Care is great and Dr. Lemanski turns a routine procedure in to a fun visit. I highly recommend the place for any optical needs in a great atmosphere with good people at a good value.
It had been quite a while (10-15) years since I had glasses but knew I needed them for my nearsightedness. As my age progresses, I have noticed that its hard to read things close up now as well. My job is looking at a computer 70% of the time and I had been having a lot of eye strain. I dont have insurance so I searched for a Groupon. PEC was offering one and had great reviews so I thought Id give it a shot. IM SO HAPPY I DID! A lot of places treat customers with Groupons differently than others but PEC did not. Even though I was a new customer AND had a Groupon, my service experience could not have been better. It was great not having those drops that cause dilation and blurriness. They have Optomap technology which is a bit of an additional charge but WELL worth it. I told the doctor about my last experience with an eye exam and glasses which was not a good one. I dont think my prescription was correct because I got a headache every time I took my glasses off and my vision was very blurry. Dr. Lumanski patiently listened while giving me the exam and was very pleasant. She eased my anxiety. My favorite part of the experience was Tanya. She explained the process of selecting frames (even gave her opinion on the ones I picked out) and then sat down with me to go over the various options that could be done to the lenses. Based on my budget, I selected Progressive Transition lenses. She explained about an anti-glare option that she herself has and highly suggests but I declined because it wasnt in my budget. A few days after the exam, she emailed me to say she had a coupon from the manufacturer of the anti-glare and added it to my lenses at no additional charge. Who does that in this day and age???I got my glasses and the prescription was perfect but it took a little getting used to the Progressive part. I wore them for a day and they were squeezing my head behind my ears to the point I had to take them off periodically. I emailed Tanya to ask about that and she said that wasnt normal and to come on in and get them adjusted. The whole process took 5 minutes and now they are perfect. My fiance continually tells me how sexy I look in my glasses and everyone else loves them too. I just want to say thank you to the whole team at Parmer Eye Care! If you need glasses or contacts, schedule a consultation with these gals today!
Everyone is always friendly and willing to help.
The best optometrists in the Austin area. I have been going to Parmer Eye care for over ten years and will not go anywhere else.
Acceptable service, only problem is they run about an hour behind schedule on every visit do far.
