In fact, some of the services costed almost the same as other outside mechanic shops! Got a free car wash coupon which is nice. Recommend their service and will be back. Cant believe I was running so far to dealerships outside the city while they are so close to me!

Called in asking for inventory on a Sienna.Recently moved, now no longer walking distance to the T. Dad needs a car to commute to work and we wanted to get a family vehicle.They had one that would be built a month later, gave me cost over the phone, roughly 1-2k above MSRP with 500-750 in rebate depending on purchasing time.Went down the place a deposit on the car. They printed out the cost and wrote on the paper.A couple of weeks later, the car is built and I went to finish the paperwork for financing. Cost paper shown to me no longer has writing on it, and rebate is gone. I didn’t keep a copy; so couldn’t argue it.Still bought the car, but lost the rebate amount.Left a bad taste, but not much can be done. Needed the vehicle.Would likely buy a future car elsewhere, and take pictures of the cost paper.A big positive was that they had the car in stock and it delivered at the time frame they said it would, and the financing and paperwork was efficient.Will be picking up the car this week.

Terrible experience. I’m not sure why they rush more people in than they can handle. I had a 12:00PM appointment for an oil change but my car wasn’t touched for 2 hours. It’s only when I was called to schedule an appointment with Toyota of Braintree (which I recommend instead of them and will patronize in the future despite having moved much closer to Herb Chambers) that they finally took my car in. From there it took another hour for them to service my car. They also didn’t perform other services I needed. Very displeased with my experience and would neither come back nor recommend.
I have been coming to Herb Chambers Toyota for service fo 20 years. During this period I have put 230,000 miles on a Sequoia that lasted 11 years and I am in my ninth year with Highlander Hybrid that has 130,000 miles on it and will last many more years. No one touches these cars except for Herb Chambers service technicians, even for tires and batteries. I trust the service department completely. They are honest and they are always looking out for my interests. They tell me when something needs to be fixed immediately and they advise me about things that both of us will need to keep an eye on. In twenty years, neither vehicle has broken down on the road. My most recent service experience was great. In addition to completing a normal servicing, they found a tiny leak in the air conditioning system and fixed it. My final point is that your Toyota will last for a long time if you get it serviced by Toyota service technicians according to the recommended schedule.

I was lucky enough to have Sean as my agent when I my Prius towed into the Service department. Someone had stolen the catalytic converter from my car! Sean helped us through the long process with an insurance company that was not cooperative and very slow. Sean kept in contact with me with every issue as frustrating as it must have been for him. He was always a gentleman and a sympathetic ear. I’m very grateful for his help.
Wasted my time driving four hours round trip to get there. I set up a test drive for 10AM only to find that another salesperson set up a test drive with a very interested customer returning to consider the vehicle for a second time...right before my appointment. I understand that there are no holds on vehicles, but as a courtesy I think a good business would tell me I need to get there sooner if I really want the vehicle. Better, more straightforward communication would be nice.Two stars only because the sales rep I did speak with was very friendly, understanding and not pressuring at all.

When i bought my new 0 miles vehicle Toyota told me u can use 5 times service and 5 times u can change oil. Total 25k everything is free.Today i went to toyota but didnt chance my oil. They told me we chance only 2 times every 10k. But all vehicles must change oil after 5k miles.She say u want change oil you must pay 69.9$ for oil change!!!
Truly wonderful! I wasn’t sure about buying a car from a dealership but as soon as I walked in, everyone was friendly and took the time to explain the features of the car I was interested in. I visited them a few times and never felt rushed to make a decision. If you want to enjoy your car purchase experience, I would highly recommend them!
We were pleased to arrive soon after a flat tire and have the tire replaced, rebalanced, and a full point check up done within 2 1/2 hours. Although most staff were on summer vacation, Sean and the other staff were cheerful and helpful.
Had a Rav4 in for oil change, and they also found a factory recall for the car and did that also. Very convenient, and they kept me informed and made the pickup easy.

Extremely frustrating experience at Herb Chambers Toyota in Allston. Brought our Camry in 3 times for diagnosis within several months- each time different problems were diagnosed, despite no change in the car function or warning lights between visits. We spent thousands to have zero improvement, money down the toilet. Even the customer service rep conceded it was likely due to the cars faulty computer generating codes, but that their advice was to follow along regardless. Not a reliable evaluation. Got a shoulder shrug when asked what to do about it. Wont be returning to Herb Chambers Toyota of Allston.

This dealership has the worst customer service EVER! I walked in no body even acknowledged me. There was only one couple in the store so it was not busy at all! I asked one of the workers that was sitting down talking to a coworker if I should wait for someone or walk around, he barely even looked at me and told me to find some someone on the floor the other representatives continued having conversation with each other without asking if I needed any assistance. When I finally got help the guy barely spent two minutes with me and went to sit back down at his desk on his cellphone! I Will definitely NEVER buy anything here . This dealership literally deserves NO STARS AT ALL

I have gone here multiple times now and still have not had a single good experience. Decided I’m never going back after my most recent visit. I had an appt, showed up, and was told to come back the next morning. Came back very early, dropped off the car and hung out around Allston for about 7 hours just to have them tell me that my car hasn’t even been worked on yet and that I would have to come back another time, again…. I’m not coming back. Poor communication, rude manager, high prices, overcrowded.
It was a painful process.Salesman was nice but not knowledgeable about hybrid cars whatsoever. We could not trust anything he said after misleading us about basic mechanical components of the car and about key aspects of the financing. He was not interested in finding out the answers to our questions and just said whatever came to his mind. He tried to convince us that it was completely normal that the licence plate was installed crooked because the car was hybrid and that hybrid cars do not go faster then 25 mph on electric mode.The add ons were not installed when we went to get the car (at this point, it was not even a suprise) and we had to come back (and waste 5 hours of our time) for them to install what we paid for in our contract. That being said, we had a great experience with that service.Overall would not recommend this dealership.

3hours 45mins for an oilchange appointment and tire rotation. My appointment was for 7:30am which I arrived on time for. I didn’t just show up in the middle of a busy day. Was told 1.5-2hrs when I arrived. At 2hrs45min hours I checked to see if they were done and was told 5-10minute and that they were wrapping up. When I checked again at 3hr30min to see If my car was ready, because I was still not notified, the customer service rep says to me, “you look ready to go” and began printing out my paperwork. The car was done and nobody tried to contact me. I was sitting in there waiting room. No explication for the delays or reason for not contacting me when the car was ready. 10minutes standing in the garage after dealing with the person inside and finally my car was returns to me. Hard to rate the quality of work when the task is so simple....take oil out-out new oil in-unscrew oil filter-screw on new oil filter-complete-1star. If I needed a repair I could consider more stars based on the quality of work. If I dropped in unannounced and they squeezed me in of course additional stars, even if the customer service was lacking. Treat people nice and they will return.45min-1hr for appointment oil changes/tire rotation at the surrounding Boston area PepBoys. Previous 2 oil changes were done there. That is where I will be returning to.
Broke a cardinal rule involving childHad my car serviced to remedy a recall. As part of the service they removed my 8-month old daughter’s car seat. Then reinstalled it - INCORRECTLY. My daughter was exposed to an unsecured car seat - they failed to lock the seat belt when securing the car seat. Thankfully I noticed it before any harm. I will not visit this dealership again and I would suggest being vigilant if you do use this dealership for service.
Great service experience. We bought our car at Herb Chambers and brought it for service today. I only called yesterday and they had lots of slots yesterday or today (and I assume later in the week) but I had my choice. We dropped it off and waited there- they had water, coffee, snacks etc and we were done and out in 40 mins with an emailed report in my in box. Everyone was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend them for service even if you didnt buy your car here.
Awesome experience here buying a used Audi.First off, Dean and Emil stayed well past closing to complete the sale for me. I knew exactly what I wanted and was given free reign to test drive my car for as long as needed. Later Dean drove 2+ hours away to help me register my car out of state! I have always had good friendly service here, even if the news is bad. I have had some minor disputes over work on occasion but they have always handled them in a courteous fashion and resolved to my satisfaction.
Yesterday, my tire blow out on our new 2021 RAV4. Thankfully, a tow truck was one car behind me (thank God) and stopped to help me put on the replacement. He took less then 20 minutes to remove the ruined tire and put on replacement tire. I was told at Pep Boy in Everett that I could not purchase a tire as my car is all wheel drive (AWD) and putting a tire that was not the same as others with the same trek would mess up the AWD. I was told I needed to bring it to Toyota in order to get a wheel and possible alignment. I scheduled the earliest appointment for next day as it was later in the evening for the service. I arrived at 7am and its past 9am with no update. To note, this is just to place the new tire and with no alignment and its been past 2 hours. The tire alone cost $203. I asked for an update and the manager is looking into it but we are going into half an hour now pending an update to put in one tire. I continue to hear clients complain and unfortunately I would have to agree. Company needs to fortify there output of service to keep their customers. If I could I would go to my long time mechanic...
The service was impecable but... I do have a suggestion. It would be nice, if after spending over $300 dollars on maintenance you could hand over the car to your clients, washed and vacuumed instead of handing out a coupon to Scrub a Dub. I have had several luxury cars in the past, and I understand that my Rav 4 does not fall into this category, but it would be a very nice touch to your loyal customers.

Sold me a bad car. It is currently at another Herb Chambers being fixed since they aren’t capable of fixing it. My sales guy was Ahamad. Stay away from them if you don’t want to get played for your money. They literally sold me a car with all bad parts and a broken backup camera. Dishonest, deceptive, liars. I am currently about to go through the lawsuit process and thankfully, I have evidence through text messages but wow, who would have ever thought this would happen, especially at an Herb Chambers.

They inspected my car and changed the oil. They also charged me over $200 to replace a belt that they said was causing my car to squeal on startup. That did not fix the problem.

Service provider was very helpful. Had an appointment: arrived 15 minutes early. Wait time was a bit overwhelming to get the state inspection done. Was patient with everything.Helpful staff was most courteous. Social distancing not a problem in the waiting room. One suggestion: Place lysol towels in waiting room for customers to use when needed.Thank you.

I previously have had excellent interactions here when buying my car and scheduling service here. However, today I was charged almost $400 to renew my ToyotaCare, which was framed as mandatory. I was asked to sign a contract that I was not allowed to read, nor was I given a copy to know what I had signed for. When I realized the mistake when picking up my car, the clerk said I could be refunded easily, but the salesperson said it was impossible. After I left, I left a message for the service manager, and promptly received a call from the salesperson who claimed he didnt realize I wanted to cancel my ToyotaCare, even after telling him directly to his face that is what I wanted.The salesperson will be issuing me a refund, but apparently it must be via check, so I will not know for several weeks whether or not they have actually cancelled my ToyotaCare.Again, excellent service previously, but it was anxiety-inducing to be misled about the necessity of services and grossly overcharged for them. Next time, Ill get a $10 oil change.

I called at 5:41 p.m. on October 16th 2021 to schedule service I stayed on hold for 20 minutes until 6:01 p.m. for someone to just pick up the phone and hangs it up and when I call again obviously they are closed so the whole purpose of hanging up the phone so they dont talk to anyone.

My rating is from the sales perspective as I havent had my Piaggio long enough to service it yet. With that being said, Im anticipating the same great service then as I received during the sale. Dio was very helpful during the process and made the deal happen in minutes. No budging on the price, but they did throw in some good party favors to sweeten the deal, such as a very heavy duty chain and cover. Dio took his time to show me the ins and out of the bike during delivery, offered me helpful information on maintaining my Liberty 150 and i know hes available anytime i have follow up questions. Luckily for me, bike runs flawless, very easy to use and i havent had any questions, but i look forward to my first service appointment, and hopefully returning for another bike when Wifey is ready to join me on the road.
The Used Cars Manager is dismissive and arrogant.It was recommended that I speak with the Used Car Manager about completing an Inherent Diminished Value claim. This claim confirms that optimal repair quality has been achieved following a repair and is defined as the amount by which the resale value of a repaired vehicle has been reduced simply because the subject vehicle now has a significant damage history. — Someone hit my parked car and the bumper was replaced by their insurance.I went to the Toyota showroom at 9am in the morning. It was empty aside from two very kind employees at the front desk. I explained why I was there and the manager was called over the intercom. He came out of the men’s restroom still wiping his hands and then greeted me. I began explaining that I need help in determining the diminished value of my car for an insurance claim. He asked if I was turning my car in, as this was the only way to get the value. I said no and went to clarify my question but he began walking away. He proceeded to talk over me saying he didn’t have time for ‘this stuff’ and that they were very busy. Again, no one was in the showroom.I tried to clarify that I needed this information for the insurance claim — at least, if he could offer any advice on how to get these values, but he continued to dismiss me and waved me off.The conversation escalated without reason and the front desk ladies apologized on his behalf. My partner and I were confused on why he was so abrasive. As we were outside, one of the front desk ladies came out to apologize again on his behalf and answered my question. As simple as that.Apparently, this is considered normal behavior for him and that’s unacceptable behavior for customer service or colleague behavior.

Wont visit again!! I dealt with Sean Cho (service advisor). Extremely rude person! Any question I asked was met with an unfriendly, snide response. Almost felt like I was being yelled at. I wasnt trying to argue, simply trying to understand what needed to get done and if I could afford it. Also couldnt hear his voice through the plexiglass in between. Is it really so annoying, so difficult to repeat some minor detail because the customer couldnt hear it the first time? Besides, dont you charge us an arm and a leg in labor charges? The least you can do is respond to our questions with patience and not pressurize us into making decisions. Not that there was a line behind me.I have been to several other Toyota Service stations before and they always return my car washed. This one did not.Two stars only because my car is running better again and the staff outside in the garage was kind.

I see a weak link in the patronizing attitude of their used salesman Clyde and will refrain from future dealings in that area unless there happens to be a change in personnel. Be very careful; these people sell a LOT of cars and are not the most scrupulous. They are fast-talking salespeople who are very good at their job -- making you think they are your friends while fast-talking over details of the agreement until the next thing you know they sold you a lemon that you return within a week, but they treat it as a TRADE IN, not a return, so you dont get the full amount back. After arguing with salesman Riad Tubaishat, I was told I could consult finance director Luke Johnson; I had a civil and seemingly helpful phone call with Johnson, who sad he would follow up and determine why my car was treated as a trade-in instead of a return. No call back after a week. I have left multiple messages. Northing. These people are all about the bottom line. I should have known better. Got better customer service in EVERY way from CarMax, for bleeps sake!If you are an impressionable customer (like myself) and you decide to deal with these sharks, make sure you have a list of concerns and questions, and a level-headed companion to help out. Dont trust them. Dont expect them to give a damn about you once you have paid. I will not be returning.

Purchased my Highlander Hybrid here in 2018 and always bring it here for service. Nothing against the independent repair industry, but I always believed bringing it to the people who exclusively service Toyotas every day is my best bet. Moreover, the staff here is great. Dan, Theresa, Steve, CK and all the folks on the service floor are tremendous. I’ve only had positive experiences here. Previously had purchased a CRV from Chambers Honda around the corner and only ever had positive experiences there too. These service departments are just super friendly and accommodating which is somewhat rare these days.
