I was on the phone hoping to speak with a representative about returning a trailer 45 minutes late or so (9am). While being on the phone for over an hour i was on hold with Uhaul and received a phone call from them, while transferring to the other call i was informed that i would be charged a full additional day. After explaining that i was trying to reach out to them i was informed nothing could be done. Spoke with a manager and was told they could submit a customer complaint but that no one would be in touch with me until AFTER i would have returned the trailer and ALREADY been charged an additional day. Meaning your customer complaint process can literally never assist people with additional charges or equipment returns. Rude staff and poor customer service when you deal with people who are already being stretched thin.

Horrible customer service. Ordered a hitch plus install. Confirmed the appointment. Went in, the hitch was on back order. Nobody contacted me to tell me the hitch was back ordered. Nobody contacted me to reschedule my apt. Nobody even offered an apology. Called customer service number, explained the situation and she said “So you want to cancel or what?” No apology. No explanation. Then she hung up on me. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The big guy with the beard and glasses is so rude Im surprised to see him still working there. Ive observed him yelling at customers on several occasions. It feels like a postal post office environment there. I always get insurance in case they want to play around. Document every scratch, cigarette burn, and dirty spot I see. I also rented a truck for 24 hours and he told me if I do not bring it back in 19 hours he will charge me another $100 plus dollars. My reservation and payment was for 24 hours. To preclude that statement he told there wasnt any truck available ... I sat right there in the lobby and made a reservation. He was not happy about that. The environment in there is stressful and it rubs off on the customers. To put the.....whip cream/cherry on this particular occasion.... I drove from 348th to 320th about total 3 to 5 miles maximum and lost a quarter tank. Odd to say the least but I dont blame Uhaul for that. Best thing you can do is be polite, get insurance, document every detail and take pictures in the app.

Reserved a one-way trailer for pick-up here. Was told I had to pick it up the day after I reserved. I showed up.the next day and my trailer was missing. They had to call several other locations and barely got me a trailer over 15-30 mins away. The other trailer was in Auburn and had a larger trailer. I had to pay the difference for their screw up! Horrible and almost completely screwed me on a PCS move.

We reserved a truck at the Tacoma location and scheduled to drop off in Graham. The truck was overbooked and we were sent to this location. We were given a smaller truck than reserved and told we had to drive it back to Federal Way, which meant we had to pay the extra mileage.The truck was due back at 9am with a quarter tank of gas. We called early the day it was due asking for a little more time and were told if we dropped off by noon we wouldnt be charged additional fees. We got a call just after 11am and the voicemail stated that another family was waiting for the truck and we would be charged a late fee. The representative also said the truck would be reported as stolen. We were headed back with the truck at this point.Upon dropping it off, we waited for 10-15 minutes for a representative to check in the vehicle. My roommate went in to get help since no one was helping us and we knew someone else needed the truck. The representative checking us in told us we were supposed to have filled the trucks tank to full and told us wed have to pay the late fee. We told the representative that our paperwork said we only needed a quarter tank and someone from their location told us we had until noon without late fee. The truck was there at 11:40am.The representative told us that they lost business since the truck was late and wed have to pay the fee because of that, inspite of what we were told over the phone. He also told us not to worry about not filling up the tank and made it seem like he was doing us a favor even though we returned it as we were instructed.This has been one of the most stressful experiences! Moving is already stressful and working with this u-haul location made the process so much more stressful. I know they are busy and theres an equipment shortage, but dont tell a customer they wont be charged and then charge them. Id rather make 100 trips with a small truck than rent another u-haul after this experience.

If I could afford to move my storage unit and get away from this place I would I was told my auto pay was set up 2 months ago and this is the second time it’s late because it’s not set up and they don’t answer their phones and automatically send them to customer service and the manager admitted they do that during the day all the time

I was in need of a vehicle to pick up a desk and immediately thought to come here. There wasnt much of a wait, I was help immediately. The owner of the place (forgot his name, his name tag said owner) told me that he only had a trailer available and everything else has been reserved I was so disappointed. He advised that I go online to check out the other U-haul places to see what is available. I walked out the front door and stood in front of the storage, used my phone to research the other U-haul location. Well, this same location I was standing at just told me that there was nothing available but online shows they have quite a few vehicles available so, I went ahead and reserved it online while standing there still on their property. I walk back in and the same guy helps me, I leave with the van that I reserved. I am not sure what happened but, I was desperate and in a rush so I didnt question him. That was bad customer, not sure why I was originally turned away.

I booked an appointment a week in advance, to have a faulty wiring kit reistalled. When i called they suggested i bring it in early at 7am, i chose to bring it in at 10am. When i got there i was told the hitch guy wont be in until 11 anyway. I spent 4 hours in federal way running errands on foot to come back to my car sitting in the same spot i parked it. I cancelled my appointment and they had trouble making sure i wasnt charged. The young staff seemed inexperienced and confused when dealing with customers. They also told me the standard wiring harness was $50 when everything they advertise online is between $10-$30

Worst U-Haul location ever. Employees and Managers are incompetent people. They Never returned my phones calls and charged me for late fees on my storage units, which it should have never been charged. Talked to Manager and he is was not helpful at all. I will never rent a truck or storage unit here ever again. I hope the corporate office reads this and retrains these awful employees. Beware this location is very unprofessional. What happened to good customer service. The Uhaul in tacoma on 92nd pacific ave is Awesome the employees and managers are excellent. This is not my last rant about this location. I will make it known How awful this place is. Please beware unprofessional people here.

This 5 star is for Kenyaka! She did a wonderful job helping me with my reservation and explaining what I was getting. Everything was easy to understand and they even sent text messages to my phone for confirmation dates for a truck rental. Ive had bad experiences before but now I have no gripes about U-Haul!

Completely horrible rental experience, we reserved a truck online over 2 weeks beforehand. We go to pick it up & some extremely rude man said because we didnt place the reservation through the phone they didnt have anything. He didnt try to help us find another truck or offer any help. I dont know how name besides he was a large bald man with a tongue ring. Will definitely tell anyone who ever needs a rental to go through somwhere else.

I like this place is easy to get into. The people who work there are very knowledgeable about their products. Theres storage is inside which I really like. You need a card to be able to access the storage unit very safe. But Saturdays or packed so if you dont reserve a truck youre SOL

Terrible rental experience. Very poor service, rental unit reserved not available, very disorganized, website not working to check in uhaul and customer service is virtual non existent. We had to go someplace else to rent a storage unit and then uhaul showed wrong location to return truck.

They have a ring for service button at the propane fill station. Either it dont work or they ignore it. Every time I have rang the service request no one shows up. When I go in and wait in line they will come out to fill. Either remove the service request ringer or find a way to acknowledge the request. They seem to me understaffed on the weekends. I will go somewhere else to get tanks filled in the future.

Came to drop the truck off, no drop-off box first of all(they have a little hole in the wall after looking for 15 min and driving to another u-haul). They pre charged me for more miles then I had actually driven(dont know how Im getting my money back when i did the online return.). Called the customer support line, the lady had no idea how to help us, transferred us to the truck share line or something and sat on hold for a total of 25 min, in which no one still picked up. Dont rent from u-haul please. This is my first and only time.

I should have trusted the reviews other customers left. From the apathetic employees to the faulty vehicle (would not safely drive over 35 miles per hour) I am so dissappointed. When I brought the vehicle back to the location and notified the employees of the vehicle safety problems, they were unwilling to refund me so I could rent a safe vehicle from another location. I plan to report this location to the Better Business Bureau. I highly recommend that you choose another location or company.

Wow this business is horrible. When you call in you can not even speak to a employee at the location and when you go and talk to the people at that location in store they blame there own call center for poor business practice. Go somewhere else because this business will have no answers for you and when you call the call center they will just hang up the phone on you. LOL

UBox Moving experience was delightful. UBox Storage experience has been terrible. Every time weve pre-scheduled access to our box the store was unaware that we had scheduled a pickup. And one time they were unable to retrieve our box because the forklift was broken and would not be fixed for 3 days. Another time they marked our box as us having moved out so the next time we called to access the box they could not find any record of us having a box

Did a lot of work with U-Haul. But unfortunately I need to move on. After fueling up I put in too much needed and asked for a reimbursement from the rep who said we can’t do reimbursement but we can give you fuel credits after I said call your manager he helped me with reimbursement on my last transaction and I showed him my past contract the manager who calls himself the General Manager by the name of ‘James Pinelli’ Comes over and says “I told you I cannot give you reimbursement because we will get an audit for it and tells me that it’s written on the contract that there is no reimbursement” and I asked him to show me that on their contract and he couldn’t show me it and refused to show it to me.Unprofessional Manager on work.

We have a unit with them and over the past year we have had nothing but problems. First issue was that they wouldnt help us attach a trailer to our car that we rented from them. Second issue, I went to get stuff from our unit and water had been leaking into our unit from the ceiling for a while. A lot of my stuff was ruined and then I had to move all my stuff to a new unit with no help. Their insurance company is a joke as well. They wont refund anything without the original receipts. Then today I grabbed the wrong lock key and didnt want to drive home to grab it so I went to the office to ask them to cut the lock and to buy a new one and I was told only a locksmith can cut the lock. Total bull. I had to reload everything into my car. We are switching companies because this place is a joke.

Everything at store was pretty standard basic u-haul customer service/interaction however when I got home it showed I was charged three times on my credit card. I understand one was the actual amount and there is the standard holding one at start but three times is a bit too much to bear. The worst part was when I called customer service I was put on hold for 5 min and line dropped, second transfer and hold for 7 min and line dropped off. Finally third I got hold of someone in customer service who could not find the 3rd charge and after 20 min on mostly hold was advised it should go away in 3-5 days. When I called to rent a U-haul truck to get my business there was no hold and the process took 2 min. Funny how once they have the money there is so much inconvenience.

Wheres u-haul Ive ever used. Ive been using u-haul for years and 1000 the dollars a month. They charge me $20 for the app not working during an overnight drop off. They also did not check their trucks at night because I rented at below a quarter tank and brought it back to saying and they charged me $30 more for that Fact. They do not check their trucks because the brakes are really badd could cause an accident do not use this u-haul company the others are fine I have never had a problem before.

Was renting a 5X8 trailer today and while the staff was trouble shooting a right blinker issue my son was inadvertently locked in the car - on a 85 degree day! I immediately started to panic and cry uncontrollably. Brett jumped right into action and started to assured me that everything was going to be alright, that I needed to calm down and be strong so my son wouldnt be scared. Within what seemed like seconds the manager had tools there and began to wedge the door to unlock it. They stayed calm and focused and had the doors open in 3 minutes. I cant begin to tell you how well they handled the situation, the amazing customer service and attention. 5 stars from me. Oh and thank you Brett - although I am still teary, I have my son and that is invaluable. Thank you for the quick thinking and customer service! You have a customer for life.

I rented a truck Tuesday at 6pm returned same night at 830pm. The trouble starts then. It took them 15 hours to check in the truck thats parked right in front. They have called Wednesday afternoon about the truck. These folks want extra money. I had truck for 2.5 hours. Next time tell your workers who cant check customers in to lay off the weed.

I see a lot of 1 star reviews and I’m gonna another one. When you come to U-Haul for moving you don’t have time. If you come here you gonna lose money or watse your time on the phone with customers services. When I pick up the truck they said I have 3/4 tank gas. More than half. I return the truck with 38 miles. And pump $15 gas. And I got charge $70 for empty gas tank. I call right away they said they call me back in 15minute they will go ask who check the gas. But they never call me back. The next day I call them back. They said the charge is already in the system I have to call customer service to report a claim. Then I talk to customers service they said they call district manager and have them call me back. See all those time wasting. They said the gas tank is empty that’s impossible if the gas is is 3/4 in the beginning with 38 miles and $15 gas.

I paid 90+ dollars a month for 3 years to store my motorcycles at this location. One day on my way to work an aggressive individual approached me from the side and yelled at me get dude you cant park that bike here. He then positioned himself in front of my bike and blocked me entry. I went inside a related the incident to another employee who looked up my information on the computer and politely explained the policy on storing items that contain fluids and gave me one more day. He also told me the aggressive and belligerent individual that accosted me was in fact the assistant manager. Instead of notifying the police I tried calling the actual manager and the corporate number. I learned that this company has NO concern about the tenants of their facilities beyond collecting money. Theyre others storing cars and paint thinners etc. But if the employees are irritated or driven with a bias against a particular tenant they will act out without concern from management. Frankly speaking I dont believe your belongings are safe at a uhaul location. I am glad the incident happened the way it did. I live close to this location and there are plenty of other options for storage. And because the incident took place I learned they will post notice, then cut lock, then dispose of your property. When I was in the military I did hear if deployed service members losing their belongings to late payment and no notice evictions but I never believed it until this interaction. With the U-haul company I would say it is a classic caveat emptor situation. I would not recommend.

This is the worst place Ive ever been to make a rental! When I enter the location and I approached the front desk the employee didnt even greet me or even ask the normal how can I help you question ...I had to ask her sarcastictlly maam are you ready? if she cant even greet customers she shouldnt be working there or they should give proper training to their employees. Then They didnt wanna rent us what we needed just because my mom didnt have a credit card so I told them that we can use mine, but they refused to help us saying that the credit card didnt match with the driver license!!! What the hell?? so if my mom doesnt have a credit card we cant rent anything from this freaking place? Pathetic!!!! Im never coming back to this awful U-haul.THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!!

This location advertises 24/7 return, but won’t honor it. Arrived at 7:01 to return the vehicle, 3 employees are walking out of the store, I had already done the whole return process online. However the dropbox was not accessible and the employees refused to take two seconds to turn around and take my keys. They walked off telling me that they can’t accept the vehicle return and wouldn’t take the keys. Worst customer service I’ve ever received.

Overall the experience was good. I went there last minute with no reservation and was able to rent a truck at a reasonably decent price. My only complaint is when i returned the truck i had driven it 8 miles total and they charged me $15 for fuel. So refuel before you return.

They let employee park outside and live there. Also they use one bathroom as their personal so its always out of service. Not to mention they probably have a master key which is unsettling since they are there 24/7.

Make sure you know that truck rentals are for 24hrs!!! They ask you when they want the truck back, and charge you more if youre late even if youre within 24 hours because nobody here knows whats going on. Had to call corporate to get my situation fixed because the people at this location just stare into space when you ask them a tough question. They trying tell you whatever rules they want to tell you but do your research and know that I was lied to by three different people at this location.

The mobile phone version is too inconvenient. Took 45 minutes to check out/ in the truck. I had to check out the truck during my 4 hour rental time so I ended up paying for the slow check out process. The keys werent even in the location stated, so I had to call customer service. The mobile phone version is just you doing their job for them on your time.

These guys were horrible at every aspect of it. Rude at arrival, didnt explain anything, rude at departure heck even worse when I brought the truck back!if possible use a different U-Haul. these guys are ridiculous. (short scruffy lookin dude, white chunky guy who seems like its his first day, black kid who works outside giving you the car) u 3 need to be working in a basement somewhere far away from people.

Absolutely terrible business practices. I scheduled to rent truck a week prior to my move across country and when I arrived to pick up the truck they were scrambling around to find the keys and the truck. They had given my reserved truck away to a walk-in customer that morning but my name was still associated with the truck. They found another truck for me but it must have just been returned because they were telling customers as I was waiting in line that they were completely out of trucks . Who knows were this truck came from and if it was in ready condition to drive across country. The next morning they called me about missing keys to the truck I had originally reserved. What a nightmare!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER.I called and rented a trailer from the Uhaul on Federal Way. When we showed up to pick up the trailer, the building was locked and nobody was there to help us. We sat in the parking lot making numerous calls to Uhaul to try and figure the situation out. Finally, over an hour later, a man showed up and opened the store (which is normally supposed to be open from 9am to 6pm). The man looked very unprofessional with messy hair and sweats on. When he started to charge us full price, we asked if there was any compensation available for dealing with the inconvenience of waiting over an hour to be helped. He then became very defensive and angry that we asked such a thing. He started to yell at us and had us backing out of the store. The way he was acting almost seemed as if he was drunk. My little sister was with me and had to run to the truck because she felt scared and unsafe because this man was being extremely abrasive and threatening. We couldnt believe that somebody was being so rude and unhelpful when we were the ones that were inconvenienced by the situation.

When I called customer service for help, theyre even worst. This place is a joke. I rented a truck and cardoll. They were closed when i returned it. So i parked it right in front of the doors like instructed to do. Then a month later 2 cops show up at my front door saying that uhaul wants there truck and trailer back. I told the cops everything and told them to check there camras. I contacted the uhaul headquarters amd they said they would look into it and get back to me. Never did get back so 3 weeks later i call them back because my card had gottin a charge for $90 from uhaul. I called and asked them why they charged me for a SECOND time and they said its because i used there equipment. I talked to the manger at this store and he promised me a full refound amd to this day i have not got the refound that was 3 months ago. THEY LIER AND STEAL dont go here.

I’ve been waiting to get checked in 30 minutes and l literally have been walking the employee on how to check me in, this is not ok when I’m such a hurry and I reserved to avoid this. First truck I have to put gas in it because it has less than an 1/8 of a tank, seconds truck had a Broken drivers seat when I went to do an inspection before leaving and the third truck I had to walk around 10 minutes looking for. Never again will I come here.

Rented trailer from Seatac location (20024 Intl Blvd) and was asked if I would be willing to return trailer after use to Federal way location (35205 Enchanted Pkwy). The Seatac rep actually said “you will be doing us a huge favor by returning trailer to Federal Way location as this trailer really belongs at that facility”. I agreed as I was actually moving items from Des Moines to Federal Way and figured it was a win-win. Big mistake! After use, I attempt to return trailer to Federal Way location as agreed and that is when the nightmare started. Went inside and stood in line to be helped. I finally get to counter and the rep says “all returns are handled outside”. Ok fine, I go outside and flag someone down to help with return. The rep started return process but was unable to locate my contract because trailer was originally rented in Seatac. Rep then says “sorry I can’t help you, you will have to go inside to return”. At this point my blood pressure is slowly elevating, but I kept my cool and returned inside to speak with the original rep that sent me outside to begin with. Rep asked to see my contract and says “this is not a one-way rental contract and if you want to return trailer here we will charge you a $200 drop off fee; if you don’t want to pay $200 drop off fee, then you will need to return trailer to Seatac location”. I explained what I was told from the Seatac location and asked that she call Seatac location to confirm. Rep refused to call. At this point my blood pressure went from 0-100 real quick! I pulled my phone out and called the location myself. After being transferred around I finally reached a very helpful reservations agent. I explain the whole situation again and the reservation agent asked to speak with store rep. I handed my phone to her and miraculous the whole situation got resolved. Rep processed trailer return and handed me receipt. Rep was not apologetic about misunderstanding and simply sent me on my way without a good-bye, thanks for using U-Haul please rent again, nothing! The lack of unprofessionalism/rudeness is unbelievable. If I ever use U-Haul again (and that is a big IF) I will never set foot back at the Federal Way location.

Really nice and big facility that offers all of the services Uhaul offers. Nice selection of packing and moving supplies and the storage inside seems very secure. Of course like any Uhaul location, they have alot of their Ford Uhaul trucks for rent.

Absolutely worthless customer service. Had to make two 2-hour drives in one day because they had no equipment to move my things in after upgrading to a larger unit. I ran over closing time by a few minutes and an employee named Eric threatens to call the cops and have me arrested because I didnt want to leave with half my stuff sitting in an unlocked storage unit. His response was literally big deal.I asked for a supervisor. Eric said, If my manager comes down here, youre not gonna like it.

I rented a back in June. When I got the truck and drove to the storage unit there was a lock on the back. I called and had to drive back. I was told that I would receive a $50 credit,as of today 9/20 Im still waiting. The manager Michael said that I would receive my credit back to my card and nothing. Make sure to check EVERYTHING.

When we rented the box truck and car trailer, the computer systems were down. Since theservice desk staff didnt know how to do old fashion paperwork, we waited over an hour! If it wasnt for Nicholas (who knew how to write up paperwork) we would of been there a lot longer.

Went to top-off my propane tank for grilling season and had about 1/4 tank. The attendant filled it and charged for a full tank, but without anything to measure exactly how much was put in... I overpaid. I wont return to this U-Haul.

Supposed the storage acces is 24 hours Monday to Sunday but its not true after 7:00pm the access is DENIED!!!!!!I was drive for Three Hours and arrive 6:55pm and the access was denied!!!!

NEVER do the after hours check in or you have no way to dispute any discrepancies they may say against you. They charged us for fuel that was below the level that the truck was dropped off with but since no one was there when checking in we have to go by their word.

I made a reservation one month in advance for an outside unit. When I got there I was assigned an inside unit but it was already occupied. They didnt have another that size so I had to take two smaller ones. Then they tell me I HAVE to buy one of their locks and cant use my own. REALLY!
