Chris is THE MAN!Update: after taking my vehicle to several different shops and having numerous people look at my air conditioning and tell me different things such as I needed a new dryer, I needed a new compressor, I needed to troubleshoot the blower box, Chris put all that aside, did some troubleshooting, discovered I had a bad fan clutch, serviced my AC and it works like brand-new! Once again thank you very very much Chris!
I will never take my car anywhere else. Now called Friendswood Classic Cars, the owner Chris is honest and reputable. He and his staff always take care of me and never overcharge. You pay for high quality service and that is what you get, as well as a team of highly knowledgeable techs. I love these guys!
I was helping someone move out of public storage next door and they would not let us use the restroom and these good people here let us good peoples working here thanks again
Chris and his team are AMAZING. They are not only affordable, but exceptional at what they do, thoughtful and caring, and HONEST! If you get repairs anywhere else give them a shot and you wont ever turn back. Thank you fellas for being awesome, and I will of course be back!!!
Friendswood Classic Cars now, but they have worked on two of our cars recently and quickly diagnosed the problems, fixed them, and we have not had a problem since. Concerning the price they were below my other estimates both times and actually did more than originally ask, it does not get much better than that. I really like the fact that they are Veterans, and their customer service was awesome.
Very good mechanic shop and very reasonable prices. They were very nice and helpful.
Ran by a bunch of thugs wouldnt let them work on my lawn mower. Dont know the first thing about customer service. There in the wrong business more suitable to be running a biker bar
I was a bit hesitant at first but have been very satisfied with several repairs they have done, radiator replacement, differential pinion seal. Will be taking my daughters Honda for a transmission issue tomorrow. They are upfront and honest about the work they recommend to fix your car and why, actual price has always come close to or below estimate, and they are realistic about what needs to be done to get you back on the road. They really are Good ole Boys in a good way. Thanks for providing great work at a reasonable price, and in an honest way! Highly recommend!
Took my fiances 2005 Ford 500 here Saturday, 4/26/2014 to get a couple of back side ignition coils replaced. Awesome people and great service. These really are some good ole boys. Theyre all veterans and were fun to talk to. We brought the car in the morning and it was done by very early afternoon. They did a great job, no nonsense, quick, and very reasonable price. I have found my new mechanic for sure!
These guys have been absolutely amazing! I would recommend them to anyone. They explain any problem in detail & make sure you understand whats going on. Very honest & hard working guys here. Ill never take my car anywhere else
The owner here and all his employees are good guys. Honest and professional. Really know they’re business!! Would recommend to anyone!!
I had my car repaired here last year. They waited until they received full payment of over $2000 before telling me my vehicle wasnt fully repaired. It needed to be welded but their machine broke. I kept calling every week and excuses every time. Then Harvey hit and they were flooded. I gave them a few weeks and then saw that they were repairing vehicles again but still wouldnt get to mine. I ended up leaving a bad review on another site after giving them several chances. The owner then stated that I was lying and he had me on camera to prove it. Of course he couldnt produce the video and they never finished repairing my car. Oh, and after I left my car was making a new, not normal noise. They said it was because of a hole in the exhaust where they didnt weld it back together.
These guys are great! I have went twice to them and they fixed the issues and are extremely fair. Great service and great price as well, I normally dont write reviews but I made an exception for them!
One star is a compliment for this place. Took my vehicle in with one problem and after paying a grand for something I couldve possibly done myself for a couple hundred max, got it back in worse condition than when I left it there. Not only did the price go up in ten minutes of explaining the problem, the lack of respect and professionalism after gouging me with a worse vehicle than before, left me speechless. Im not one to write reviews (read them yes ha) but this company is tragically unqualified. So, the time it took to write this will be worth it in hopes it will maybe get to the ones who dont want to throw their money away to consider finding a place that isnt out for your money and spitting BS to you only to find out that its in worse condition than before. ABSOLUTE MONEY PIT!
I cant say enough about these guys. They really are Good Ole Boys. They diagnosed the problem and had to order the part from out of state. Once they received the part the car was ready in a couple of hours. No extra cost or hidden fees. They let us pick up the car after hours due to a scheduling conflict and let us come back the next day to settle up on the bill. Good ole fashion service. I highly recommend them.
I am a shopper when it comes to service... I am loyal once I find a shop or merchant that takes care of the problems at a fair rate- Good Ole Boys fits the bill! Chris and his crew have always been upfront and honest and more than willing to look for ways to reduce the total bill. They have never jumped to conclusions and actually go step by step to determine the problem rather than just doing all the work up front. To me, thats a business that looks out for their interest and that of their customers equally. I will continue to support this business and refer my clients to them--- Upfront, honest and reasonable.
Now called Friendswood classic cars. I have used these guys for 14 years. They are honest and not in it just for the money. Chris is the owner and everyone there (or at least the mojrity) are combat vets. Only once have I had to return for an issue that wasnt fully taken care of, not due to any fault of theres or on purpose. Took it back and it was done that day. I had to pay for a part but that was expected. They guarantee their work and seem to love the job. I have also taken them quotes from other shops and they always beat the price. 2nd amendment supporters that encourage lawful carry in the shop. Even though the name has changed they truly are good ol boys.
This Friendswood location had some serious guys that were on point with what was wrong with our truck. They offered a great price for the job and were very quick with getting the job completed. They helped a veteran family member out when he desperately needed it. I cant thank them enough.
I had a similar problem as roving pianist. Took my car in a couple of months ago because my mother had been taking her car there and was happy with the shop. I picked it up and it seemed to be doing fine, but for the next 3 months I had to go up there every 2 weeks to have the same problems fixed and I was charged every time because they kept saying that something new was wrong. Now my mom has been up there just about every 2-3 weeks for the last 3 months. She has never had the original issue resolved. Every time she goes in to tell them that the car is still having the same problems as the first time she took it in, they tell her that it might seem like that but that something else is wrong.
ABSOLUTELY Love this place :) HONEST mechanics DO exist!!! Friendly, Christian, & MILITARY friendly auto shop. This is the ONLY place Ill go to when my husbands away on USAF duty!!l The owner is an Army Veteran. Good, fair, & honest people.
I dont recommend these guys anymore. They used to be very good. They are very disorganized with no office help. They must have had a change of personnel. It took them four days to give me an estimate for a/c work on my pick up. Then, they charged me $100 for an estimate, I understand that some repair shops charge for estimates, but they should disclose it before hand.
Great customer service my car fixed right he first time.
I am unsure of how to feel about this place. I have been getting service here for the duration of my cars lifespan--the rest of my family have been here many times as well. While they do take cash discounts and have a generally nice staff and atmosphere (if youre very far-left you may feel a bit of an oppressive subtext), but the hard truth is simple: I have been many times as of late. 4 times in a year. Near 100k miles on a car that should have no problem going 150% or above that. You ask for a look through--a problem was certain. So what is the logical thing to do? Ask to give it a general inspection all around--a 100k check-up if you will.Had the brakes replaced. Nearly a grand.Anything else?Nope, I am assured there is nothing to worry about, except an oil change in a while.Cut to less than a month. Whirling sounds coming from my front left tire, though it is on both of the front tires when I brake. Vibration under the driver floor board. Damn. Gotta go back.Looks like one of your rotors is completely warped, and the other aint looking too hot.I had not driven the car particularly much, which is a good possibility of the condition. Theyve never been replaced. But have I mentioned again that they said they would look it all over the prior time?Well then, another near grand spent--and again, I implore:Can yall give it another pass? Look over everything? Anything and everything. Coolant, brake-pads, etc. Virtually, I wanted each and every liquid, solid and gas in the automobile looked at by PROFESSIONALS.Sure thing, bucko.A good man, the former manager, was a straight shooter. Back then--and I mean maybe half a decade when he was there for sure--nothing like this happened. Now, its recurring problems that spring up like the seasons change.Guess what? Another month. Month an ½ at most? My power steering is now going out.The Good in Ole Boys, may be in question. A trusted brand of car line that I drive does not age like this; it is beyond a doubt that better care from those that DO the maintenance should be available.I cant even give it 2 stars for the paltry 5% cash discount. Ive had better deals with cash at body shops.Id be worried about using your credit/debit card(s) here.Oh yeah: GREEEEEAAAAAT location. Across from a sub-par middle school. Sandwiched between a sketchy storage facility and a strip mall that has an infamously bad, shyster run Vaporsense.Avoid this place like the plague. Im serious.
Good ppl u get whatvu pay for. Not the best attitude when yelled at.
The staff at this restaurant is very knowledgeable and professional and also does a very outstanding job.
Took my Pontiac in for a tune-up and was quoted a very fair price, I left it for roughly 3 days and when I finally got the call to pick it up? I was charged nearly 1200$. How did my price shoot up so much? For something if I had the time to do myself I would have. Not to mention the owner or whoever he is is down right rude! As I was waiting to speak with him I witnessed a parts driver pull up. The owner Chris? I guess is the guys name. Mocked the poor guy and yelled at him for outting a part down to make sure he had the right paper. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU RUN A BUSINESS I will spend the extra money next time and got to FIRESTONE OR NTB. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH LIARS AND RUDE OWNERS/MANAGERS!
Chris is very knowledgeable when it comes to vehicles and the repairs needed. I have read some comments on here about him being rude, not at all it is a dry hurmor that not everyone gets. Being in this business is very stressful especially when you try and do what is best for the customer. If general knowledge was taught in school about cars and many other things we wouldnt have an entire generation on blah trying to get work done and having their little hearts broken when it isnt done for free or intsantly. In friendswood this is the shop to go to I take all my cars here including my motorcycles.
I took my truck here my GFs SUV several times, they are always fair and have great service they are also vets so thats a huge deal when your supporting our troops. Thank you GOOD-OLE-BOYS keep it up. HOOAH
Awesome service, great price and fixed right the first time. This is my new shop.
Fix our daughters AC in one day .The people that did v formeer repairs didnt connect fan motall st ror right. Did other repairs and all at reasonable prices
Such a great shop. Honest, reasonable and fast service.
Chris and his crew were awesome! Definitely recommend!
Hard working men and great job
Very rude on phone, not a good way to start out a repair
I have an old truck. Because of these guys, it still runs.
I would not recommend this place, I took my car in for a tune up, but instead they were digging around in my engine, also they wouldnt even be working on it, every time I would pull up they would all crowd around my car, it took them a week. But turns out they didnt even do a tune up. They also charged me almost 1,000 dollars for sparkplugs, and other stuff I didnt even need. Then when I finally got my car back they broke my glove box handle and my car ran even more sluggish than what it was.
Worst place ever dont bring youre car there . You will be screwed over
Very knowledgable. Good mechanics.
Chris was very knowledgeable
Wont install parts if you purchase beforehand
Great business
