Bayview Optical is the best Optometry office I have ever been to. I am 66 years old and this past December went to Bayview Optical for the first time. I was blown away by the attention to detail by every single person in that office. The exam itself was more thorough than any I had before. I’ve been wearing glasses for 63 years. The office staff took personal responsibility for me to look awesome in my new prescription glasses. I was able to take advantage of a really good transition offer. When I got my prescription I had issues with the distance portion and Dr. Blaize was super proactive to make things right. I highly recommend Bayview Optical!

Ive been a customer since Bayview Optical opened. I keep coming here after moving closer to work; its now a 35 mile drive and I make it gladly. Why? The people care. I dont get pressure-sold something I dont need. I get an honest answer about whether my eye prescription has changed significantly from my last pair of glasses for a new pair to be worth it. On top of that, with family members having immune issues and being especially susceptible to high-risk cases of COVID-19, they booked me end-of-day appointments, and called me in my car when the store was clear of other customers. This is the kind of thing that keeps me coming back!

When my insurance changed and I needed to find an in network provider, I was referred to Bayview. Every interaction with the staff at Bayview has been very pleasant - Ive interacted with Donna, Laurie, Corinne, and Dr. Blaize. Theyre very informative, knowledgeable, kind, and patient - even when youre trying on your 36th frame, lol. Corinne took her time to give advice and feedback, and helped me to find a frame I love that compliments my features. So thankful to have found a provider that takes such great care of me!

Dr Gerry Blaize really strives to take care of his patient needs. He took the time and effort to go over my history listen to my current issues with my contacts, and he suggested a new brand that has worked out perfectly. Gerry also got me hooked up with a pair of glasses which make me look like a boss! My insurance covered most of the deal so it was a huge win for me.😎

In the past I have shopped eyeglasses at the large retail chain stores because I thought I was getting a better deal - NOT TRUE, Bayview was on point with pricing and selection. I just received the glasses that I ordered when I had my exam. Let me tell you, I am blown away by how thin the lenses are and how lightweight the glasses are. My prescription is very strong and at other offices Ive been limited to thick plastic frames to fit the lenses. My new glasses are delicate and fashionable. This store is a gem. My son had an eye injury and had never been a patient here before. They fixed an insurance issue we had and saw him that same day for care. They fixed his eye and the doctor gave us his private number to call if we had any problems over the weekend. Since then I have also been a patient and love their care. Laurie helped me find the perfect frames.

They spend as much time as you need helping you pick out the perfect frames for your face shape and preference. The first impression is always when you come through the door for me. The expression on a person face tells it all. I always make sure I watch that. The Office is clean, smells good, the Staff is dressed presentable and ready to work. Also whether the staff is at the front desk or on the floor you are greeted. At Bayview this is a 100% for me with the Staff and Dr. Gerald N Blaize is the best ever he has patience, he isn’t in a rush, listen, suggests etc. I first learned of Bayview 2 years ago when I was doing my own researching, reading to find a place for my Husband to go to. Also with this COVID-19 going on it’s very hard to make appointments. I called around to so many places to check what insurance do they take etc. I finally got fed up and I thought about giving Bayview a jingle. I called them and said I would like to setup an appointment. I had no hassle at all! My appointment was set easy breezy. I must say the day of my appointment was awhile because of the three tests I had, getting my eyes dilated etc this was my first time so I understand. I can go on and on and on but if you truly care about your health like I do go to Bayview. I really should do 4 stars because they do not have a variety of glasses. At the same time they will easily give you/ your prescription for your 🤓 glasses! I am set for the rest of the year! Lol I still have to call sometimes/ guess what no problem whatsoever! At the end they treat individuals the way they want to be treated. It’s so calm/ relaxing they do not have a lot of people in their office at all!

This was a great experience the staff was warm and kind I was a walk in asking questions and the doctor saw me within 30 minutes. The doctor was very nice and knowledgeable answering all of my questions. One of the really nice things he didnt try to have me buy things I didnt need he was honorable which is so rare nowadays. I recently moved to Indianapolis because my son is deaf and they have a really good school here for him. It was an easy decision to make because I know it is what’s best for him. But I knew the process of moving and making it on my own was going to be a struggle. The day before we began our move I was surprised with a party/benefit for my son and the person who came up with this idea was Laurie. The point of the party wasn’t just to help me out financially but it was also to show me how many people love and care about us. I realized how many people are behind me supporting this decision and willing to help in whatever way they can. I was really touched that someone cares that much about me to do something like this for me. Not only did I have Laurie to thank for that but there were also several pairs of sunglasses donated from Bayview Optical for a raffle. I was really overwhelmed with all the emotions I was feeling, the fact that someone was willing to do something so thoughtful really touched my heart. There arent too many people and places that do things like this out of the kindness of their heart. She didn’t have to go out of her way, but she did because she cares and that is the type of person she is. It just goes to show what kind of employees Bayview Optical has. I will never forget that day, and I will always appreciate what Bayview Optical did.

The good people at Bayview have been taking care of my families optical needs for more than a decade. The consistent staff, the cleanliness of the store and exam facilities, and the great selection of frames are just a few reason why I so highly recommend them. Recently, due to a knee injury, I was unable to leave the house and was in bad need of new glasses. I sent Lori a message on a Sunday night and she was making a house call to me a few days later. Since Lori has been helping me pick out my frames for so long, she knew what styles I liked and brought me over many options. I also had a rash on my nose that was being irritated by glasses and she was so kind to bring me some contact lenses that I could wear while my rash healed. Lori, the whole staff and the Doctor are so kind and generous. She is always telling us to stop in to get our glasses adjusted and she is always there for us when we have a mishap or problem. I would never go anywhere else. The whole group is there for you whenever you need something. That is priceless.

I have been coming here for a three or four years and its always nice to see the same familiar and friendly faces! There is a good selection of frames and sometimes they have promotion or specials. They are eager to help pick out a pair that looks good! For contacts, I was having a hard time finding ones that were comfortable for me, but they gave me lots of options until I finally found one that works. Will be back next year!

Best optometrist office! I have been going here since before i even had to wear glasses. Crawling around on the ground waiting for my family to get fitted. This place has always made me feel like an extension of my own home. Kind, courteous, and very well educated in your eye health; they will fight to give you the best experience (and coffee, or soda, whatever your poison). For me this place is Heaven. I got my daughters glasses from Vision Works and she broke them. I got a new exactly same frame from them again and got her old lenses swapped in new frame. She couldnt see properly and crossed her both eyes. I took her back to Vision works and they said everything was perfectly fine and she needs to get used to it and that shes just a kid. Anyway I found Bayview because its closer to my work and I took her there and in a minute they figured that lenses were swapped. Left eye lens was in Right eye and vice versa. They fixed it right away. Didnt charge a dime. Were absolutely amazing about another appointment for her eye exam because the Optometrist seems so experienced and passionate about her work that I wanted to have her opinion about my daughters prescription. I am going to stick with them for rest of the time!

Great location for eye exams and glasses. Even though I live in Novi, I come here because of the service. My glasses broke today and I had to get a replacement quickly but they had closed by then. In spite of that Laurie kept the doors open for me to come and get a temp replacement. I was very happy that she went above and beyond on a Saturday. There are so many things I like about Bayview Optical: they have great hours for those who work full time, you dont have to wait weeks for an appointment, you dont have to wait long in the waiting room, the staff is very kind and helpful - they have even filled out rebate forms for me! I had gone to a chain to get my eyes examined and get new glasses. I was unhappy with the selection they had so I told them I would like to shop elsewhere. They then tried to put through the sale to my insurance company! What a rip off. When I received my glasses I found even the prescription from the other place was wrong. Bayview re-examined my eyes and fixed my lenses. They are awesome.

Dr. Blaize has been very helpful in finding the right prescription for me and trialing different lenses until finding one that works great. He also has wonderful help up front, Laurie has been extremely helpful in picking out glasses that look good.

They are very friendly and offering the best amount of care as possible. They are very family oriented and they always try their best to remember who you are. Ive been coming to Bayview Optical since I was 4 years old and I cant imagine going anywhere else.

I have been coming here with my family for many years. Dr. Blaise and Laurie, as well as their entire team, go above and beyond for their customers always! This past Labor Day weekend, however, Laurie outdid herself completely. My oldest daughter was home from Florida for the weekend and she landed after business hours and was leaving before they would be open again on Tuesday. As a 23 year old who had recently moved to Florida. She couldnt find a good eye doctor. She found someone who did the exam but it was our of the network for insurance and she would have to pay out of pocket for contacts. I emailed Laurie the prescription and the contacts came in 2 days later on Friday when she was landing it slipped my mind to pick them up and they were closed on Saturday. My daughter was desperate to get the contacts as her eyes were burning from her old ones and one contact had a rip in it. I felt horrible for forgetting to get the contacts before they closed on that Friday! I sent Laurie a message and asked what she thought we should do. Her response? Ill meet you at the office in about 30 minutes. Mind you, the office was CLOSED that Saturday but it didnt matter. Laurie met my daughter there, opened up the doors, and got her contacts to her that day. People like that are few and far between. I will never go anywhere else except Bayview for my eye care needs! This place is dynamic and the people there care immensely for each and every one of their patients!

I first came to Bayview Optical in 2010 after experiencing a disastrous experience with another office when I tried to get contacts. As a new contact wearer, the other office didnt teach me to put the contacts in nor fit me properly. Bayview fitted me with the perfect contact prescription and I could see better than with my glasses. Not only that, Laurie was such a big help, teaching me how to put them in and take care of them. Even though I no longer wear contacts, Ive remained with Bayview because the service is great, the staff is friendly, and Im always satisfied with the choices Laurie has helped me make when getting new glasses. Cant recommend Bayview highly enough!

My experience at Bayview Optical has always been great. Dr. Blaize is very knowledgeable, and has a very patient staff. Everyone is very helpful and ready to make you satisfied with your experience. They have very stylish frame choices, with a generous selection. I have absolutely no complaints. My whole family is treated by Dr. Baize and his staff and we couldnt be happier!

I like the Doctor so much. He is very thorough on his examination. But I had a very awful & hurtful experienced from there. I went to pick up my glasses & as I was waiting for it, an elderly white man walked in & greeted Laurie Hi Laurie, then he looked at me & said, Oh! You have a visitor from the other planet, I wonder if she speak the language, Laurie just looked at me & said NOTHING! I was speechless & hurtful. I couldnt understand why there are people that are so rude & no respect for others at all.I dont like Laurie, she only greet or smile or friendly to others but not me, maybe because Im from other planet like what that elderly man said.Anyway, I am Filipino woman, married to a WHITE man. I came here with a working visa & not illegal. I got my citizenship by processing the legal papers & paid money for it. I went through legal processing & went through a lot to get my status.

I have been going to Bayview Optical for a few years now. I cant say a bad thing about them. They have always made sure my glasses/contacts are perfect. When I did have an issue with my progressive lenses I talked to them and they got it corrected quickly. Here they know who you are and treat you as part of a family. You will never be a number and will get the best service possible.

I have been a client of Bayview Optical since my first pair of glasses in 2008. Dr Blaize and his staff are thorough and courteous. They have always taken the time to ensure I am a satisfied client. They have a flexible schedule, where clients who need late appointments (after 7p) can ascertain. The location is central, and if you have some specialty grocery shopping to do, Joes Produce is practically right next door!
