He is determined to fix any issues your car may be experiencing, he loves his business, and it shows. He even took the time to call and do a checkup on my car. This review will be a bit long but it is worth going into detail. Coming out of work one morning a driver cuts a red light with no hesitation and rams into me. My Maxima was about to be declared a total loss and after all the work Ive put into it, the thought of losing it outright was devastating to my heart and as a paramedic I really need the car to go to work of course. Searching for a shop to do the repairs I found Shields Auto. Meeting Richie for the first time, the welcoming he gave me and my father as we stepped in was just such a positive vibe that you are drawn into him. Like you feel he wants to hug you and you wanna hug him back. My father is a retired body shop mechanic and Richie would call him papa and even take the time to chat with him of the older shop days. So far all this was just the experience of walking in. Now for the work part. Richie took in my car and went out of his way to debate for me with the other drivers insurance to not total my car. The insurance came to an agreement and thus will pay for the repairs. During the time the car was in the shop Richie would even call to update me and keep me in the loop. Can I tell you, once I got the car back it shined as the day I bought it. Richie was so thorough in his work that not a single part of the car was left untouched, he even got me a new set of tires at a really great price, not cheap quality either. He really went above and beyond. He prides himself in his work and his shops reputation so much that after I was given the car back. There was a slight scraping sound when driving coming from the impacted side, I told Richie about it and had me bring it back and quickly fixed it without any hesitation. Remember that feeling of hugging him I mentioned above, it ended up happening! I was so happy to have this beauty back in my hands and drive it again. This man truly knows exactly and everything he is doing. I just cant thank Richie enough for his dedication as a mechanic and body man and I really recommend this shop greatly to anyone. My experience with Shields Collision was very different from any experience I have had with a business. Mr Shields immediately made me feel like I was a family member and that made me feel confident that I was in good hands. He gave me an estimate and although I was happy with the estimate, I always have to shop around to make sure Im getting the best deal. Its said Three times a charm. Had a issue with an engine replacement part that had to be replaced twice(manufacturer defect). And each time it was was replaced with no problem and no additional charge. This place warranty their parts and labor. Its good to know when you spend over $1,000.

Worked with my insurance to fix my car that was just purchased and in an unfortunate accident. Rich is great he really works for the client and really cares. He treats everyone like family. I’m not able to post pics but my car looks incredible, absolutely nothing shows that there was even an accident and my whole door was smashed in with some damage to the frame even though car was still running well. Rich keeps up with you and is super honest. Again, HE CARES!

After several days in search of a good mechanic and shop and reading countless of reviews, my husband and I came across this shop online. From the moment you walk in, the owner Richard really makes you feel like family and like you’ve known him for years. We were truly please with the service, the thoroughness, and communication Richard gave us on our car and everyone that walked into the shop. We had brought in our Mazda 5 for a check engine light problem, brakes, and a few other things that the car needed and throughout the entire time Richard kept us informed on every action he was taking with our car. He never forced any unnecessary or extra work that the car did not need. I have an 06 Charger that had a catalytic converter issue. Shields fix my Charger at a much lower rate than the dealership quoted me. The customer service was great! He also gave me a tour of the shop, and he showed me the bad parts that were replaced in my car once the work was done.
