I have been a Verizon customer for several years and have been to this Verizon location in Newport, Oregon a number of times for iPhone upgrades, technical help, etc. I recently accompanied an elderly neighbor to this location so she could upgrade to a newer iPhone. My neighbor had an old flip phone and an old iPhone whose battery had overheated due to overcharging. Ross Turner, a Verizon employee, performed the cell phone equivalent of brain surgery to transfer the necessary data, especially since my neighbors account numbers and passwords had gotten misplaced over the years. Ross was very patient, knowledgeable and courteous and in between tasks was even able to help other customers in the store. Kudos to Ross for helping my neighbor with her iPhone needs.

We had a very good experience at our local Verizon store. The young man who helped upgrade my husband to hiss first smartphone was very knowledgeable and took great care of us. His attention to detail saved us money. The store had everything we asked for on site. I appreciate that convenience so close to home. Neither my husband nor I can remember the young mans name but we came in amidst a rare coastal snowstorm and the person who helped us had just become a father for the first time. He was an incredible professional and we were very pleased. This gentlemen is definitely a 10! The only thing keeping our rating from being a five star rating was the young woman also working that day. She was loud and disruptive, bounding about the store, looking for reasons to no have to come to work or close the store early. She was a constant interruption to the many helping us. To his credit, he managed the situation beautifully. Will will use this Verizon store for all out telephone service needs UNLESS our only option is the young woman, in which case, we believe it would be worth driving the hour to Corvallis.

Great business. Trenton was very personable and spent an inordinate amount of time with us setting up our new tablet and linking it with our cell phone. He also set up a link for us with his phone and email address so as to simplify access to him with any problems or questions we encountered. Where do you find this kind of personal service in this new corporate world? I would highly recommend this business to anyone setting up a Verizon service account on the central Oregon coast.

My mother was having problems with her phone. I live in Eugene and she lives on the coast. We have insurance and extended warranty coverage on the phone so I figured theyd do some basic troubleshooting with her and if that didnt work, give her information on how to contact Verizon and setup a replacement.Instead, they did some initial troubleshooting then decided to check for liquid damage - except whoever assisted her does NOT know how to read a liquid damage indicator. They told her there was liquid damage, so when she contacted Verizon she mentioned this and they insisted it would need to go through insurance rather than a warranty replacement (a $150 deductible difference). We both knew the phone hadnt been exposed to any liquid directly or over time, so the tripped indicator didnt make sense.Since I couldnt confirm this myself damage myself, I tried contacting the store (Im the account owner). Despite being able to verify EVERYTHING about the account, the person on the phone wouldnt even tell me if they had left notes about water damage on the account, what they saw, etc. Without driving from Eugene to Newport and being there in person, he wouldnt tell me _anything_. Ridiculous.After working with Verizon directly I received a replacement, and when it came time to setup my moms new phone, I checked out her old one. As I mentioned, this store cant read a liquid damage indicator. Inspecting the indicator myself, it had NOT been tripped! There was no indication of liquid damage. This store nearly cost me a $150 deductible for a phone that didnt have water damage, and then refused to tell me anything when I called them for more information. What a waste of time and effort - this whole situation wouldve been so much smoother had I never suggested my mom walk into this store for some basic assistance.

Unfortunately, in our culture today, this is unusual, particularly for seniors. Look out Mr or Ms President, here is a young man who just might bump you from your position one day soon!Trent explained everything about my new IPhone, promotions, what to look for in my phone and changes from an I6 to my new 8, and he hooked up my Hum for me ~ outstanding service!

Service was wonderful in getting the phones and setting them up but they didnt have a case for my phone so ordered it. Since we dont get mail service at our residence (and they didnt accept P O Boxes for shipping) I had the case shipped to the store. Somehow the address was incorrect on the shipping label and it was returned by the Post Office. The Service Center would not ship another case until the other case was returned. it has been over a month, the store would not refund my money when I told them to cancel it.

Father was sold an expensive phone after being told an update was responsible for the problems with his phone. There were other deals and promotions available but he was not told about them. My dad got a great deal on a Google Pixel 2 from online. When the went to return the case he bought from this store they told him that the Google pixel 2 would be useless in five to six months or until 5g was launched. First problem: we live in a remote area that will not see 5gs for awhile Definitely not in the 5-6 months we were told.(it felt he was again pushing the much more costly Pixel 3). Second problem: he said the pixel 2 would be useless and not work at all on 5g networks. My friends phone works fine on a 5gnetwork in Los Angeles the areas where 5g was rolled out. I did literally hours of research and what I found was that a non 5g phone can and will be able to work on 5g just it will just be slower 3-4g speeds. I am no expert so I call Verizon because according the this store that my Moto z3 may not work on 5g either with the Moto mod. They tell me that non 5g phones will work they will just be slower. My dad called and got the same answer. It does not make sense that Verizon and other carriers would sell phones with installments that would be useless in 5-6 months.Verizon knows that would lead to a disaterous consequences. Who we would continue to pay for a useless phone in less than six.? Who would stay with such a company. Also common sense suggests that if it were true it would be news as thousands of phones, people, and business would be greatly inpacted.I believe the best in people so I will believe this store is just not well informed. Or they bent the truth to sell a more expensive phone. In either case I would never buy a phone from this store because they are either not well informed about the products they sell or they are dishonest. They were very nice and took time to explain so I believe that just had bad info.

Ryan Scott I would have to disagree with that because I went to the verizon store in lincoin city and they sold me a screen protector for 75 and a case for 55.I drive by my Local verizon store everytime I have a issue just to come down to Newport. I will agree with you that they do have a great staff.But the cool thing is about getting the products at the store they can put it on for you as well.
