I was gifted a Seiko watch 35 years ago by my parents. It stopped working about 20+ years ago. Over the past several years I have taken it to 7-8 jewelry stores/watch repair shops. Everyone told me that the inside mechanism could not be fixed and they couldn’t order a new one to make it work. A couple of them said they could fix it but would cost $300-400.On a long shot I tried JB Jewelers. The owner was honest with me upfront and told me that he wasn’t super optimistic but would do everything he could to try. This was 3 weeks ago. I am exhilarated you say that not only did he get a new mechanism he also got it for $90. He had to make a couple of adjustments but it is working great. I am so thankful to his determination to help me out. My dad recently had a party to celebrate his life and I was able to wear it. Don’t go anywhere else! This is a honest and trustworthy owner. I am even going to have him build a ring from scratch for my wife. It is wonderful to find someone like this in a world where it is very difficult to trust someone. Thank you all very much!!!!!

The store is located at the end of the building close to the Market Street store. Just had a battery watch put in my wifes watch. Very fast and nice. The lady up front is very, very nice and helpful. Will definitely come back again.

JB Jewlers is fabulous. We used to drive to Preston Center as my family had used a jeweler there forever. Once he passed away we needed to find a new one. So glad we found JB. They are so kind, efficient, and trustworthy! Cant say enough good things.

This place has quickly become what we think of as our family jeweler. The owner is friendly and fair, a Colombian man who speaks Spanish fluently and is quick to help. He has helped us not only with what we have bought with him, but the jewelry we bought from other places before we were introduced to his store.

Great place. All of the staff was so friendly and personable. They resized my ring for a very affordable price and when I still felt it was too big, they resized it again for free.

My husband wanted to get me a nice pair of diamond stud earrings and he had researched a handful of places only to find out that Aldemar, the owner, had the best selection and the best price of all the others. I now trust them with any of my fine jewelry. I left my wedding ring with him to fix one of the prongs that was damaged. I really wanted to try out this jewelry place, every time I would pass by when I would go to Marshalls. I was looking for a gift for my mother, for mothers day. So I took the chance to try out JB Jelwers. As I walked in the owner greeted me with joy. I wasnt sure on what kind of gift I wanted to get my mother, good thing the owners daughter was there, she was really kind and was able to help me pick out the best gift for my mother. Very disrespectful owners. Specially the daughter of the owner, who told me “ you can get out of here”. I took my gold bracelet in to get a price estimate. The owner did not inform me of what type of test he will do to the bracelet. After taking the bracelet back for a long time, he comes out and tells me his offer.Although as I looked at my bracelet, he took a chunk of it off. As if there was a hole on one side. Probably a few grams of gold gone. When I told him that “ what happened there” the owner says “ it was for testing “ then he took it back again and just straightened it. You can still see the side been taken. As I was getting frustrated and the owner was explaining, his daughter comes out saying “ sorry you didn’t like this, it’s the way we do it. Every one does it this way. You can leave now.”I was disgusted with her attitude. And I didn’t even look at her. I walk out before she opens her rude mouth again. At least the owner himself was more friendly with a smile on his face. Seemed like a very inviting person.They did not even offer to pay the damage to my bracelet, even though it was a few grams. It’s still gold. My expectations have not been met. I will stay from this place.

I have been to so many jewelry places looking for the right ring for my wife and JB Jewelers is by far the best one. I felt very welcomed as soon as I walked in and they made it very easy to shop. Review 2 of 3I waited 2.5 weeks and had not heard anything. I called the jeweler and he asked for another half a week to get something in and to come in on Tuesday and he would have a diamond for me. The diamond that he had was of way less quality than the diamond that was currently in my ring. It looked yellow in comparison to the stones that were set in the halo. I told him this was unacceptable and the same quality diamond in the right shape needed to be put in my ring. However, he was unable or unwilling, I am not sure which, to get an oval diamond that was not going to cost me another $1,000. I will admit that I did not keep my composure throughout this conversation and I at times became unprofessional. For which I did immediately apologize and then proceeded to cry. I was overly emotional at this point and the whole process had taken away the happiness that being engaged and getting your engagement ring is supposed to provide. He said to leave the ring and give him a few more days and he would find another stone.I came back a few days later to another stone that was not of the quality I was expecting. This time in the setting. While it was in the setting I could clearly see where the previous diamond had put dents in the setting since it did not fit and was never meant to be there. I agreed that he could go down in diamond size to get the quality of diamond that I was looking for. He said to give him another week or so and he would make remake the setting and get a good diamond. That it would be ready the next Tuesday.I call the next Tuesday and he says it will be in Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday afternoon at the latest. He will call when it is in. I don’t hear anything. I call on Friday and he says that it just shipped on Thursday and he just got it. Again, how would it ever have been in on Tuesday. Again, I lost my composure and while never calling the jeweler names did say that this was BS. I got hung up on. I then proceeded to get chewed out by the jeweler’s daughter saying that she didn’t appreciate how I talked to her father and I needed to calm down. Even though this whole process started by them deceiving us, continuously wasting my time coming to their shop, and repeatedly lying to me about when it would be ready. They told me to come in that day and it would be ready.The jeweler was “out” and his daughter was there to help me. She was polite and professional. They sized the ring for me and I thought all was well.

Had two rings resized up. Even though that is a small service, I was treated with warmth and high level of attention. You can tell that Aldamar loves what he does. My rings were ready very quickly, returned polished and cleaned - and they made sure my rings fit like a glove before I left. Also reminded that I can pop in anytime for a cleaning. Really never thought I would enjoy getting my rings sized... but I definitely did and will definitely be back.

Terrible service! They keep deleting the bad reviews. This place is A Scam. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. They are fake.They will rip your money. I took my 18k Gold bracelet there to sell. They cut half chain and burned it then they said it’s cheap.I told they “ you cut a piece of my 18k bracelet” and daughters owner said “ I need you to get off”THEY ARE SCAM.

Ive only been here for couple times now, but their service has been amazing! Owner is so friendly and worked hard for my engagement ring that i screwed up. They usually dont want to keep your jewelry overnight so most of their works done on the same day!! (Or theyll ask you to come back the day after, once they got the shipment) Owner does everything himself in the store, so theres no need to worry about losing your jewelry like if you bring it to brand-name jeweler. Price is also very reasonable. Owner has been so kind and patient with my complicated-self. Def will be my go to jeweler from now!!

Let me begin by saying that Aldemar is an amazing person to work with. My husband and I wanted our wedding rings to be made per our exact specifications. Problem was all our ideas were in our heads since I had picked them up from various styles/stores. Aldemar was very patient and did a wonderful job of putting all those ideas in a mold and did multiple iterations till we were completely happy with the final outcome. He is an artist and his attention to detail is marvelous. I would highly recommend him!!
