Had an indoor pocket-door problem and could not find anyone to repair so I called Custom Door & Gate to see if they could recommend anyone. Jarod, who took my call, listened to my issue patiently, then, after noting the they do not work on pocket doors, told me that he would have someone get back to me. Short while later, Clarence from Custom called and said he was on his way. After working for more than an hour - including several trips up and down ladder - Clarence had fixed my pocket-door problem. Even though they dont work on pocket doors! And then Clarence said there was no charge. Talk about great service above and beyond. Almost makes me wish for a door problem they could fix. Not enough nice things to say about Custom Door & Gate.

My garage door went offline and I wasn’t sure how to fix it. I called after hours and was able to fix the door and have it running again very fast thanks to the technician. He talked through the steps with me on the phone and waiting until I was completely sure I had fixed it. I would highly recommend their services because of their quick response and exceptional customer service!

Best company ever. Had contacted another company to look at the problem with the garage door. (Only because we wanted to have the problem fixed the same day.) The other company stated that what was needed was a new garage door. Cost $3000. Well of course, I knew that a new garage door was not necessary. Only needed the springs replaced. When I decide to replace the garage door, I will definitely contact Custom Door & Gate. This is the second time that I used them. Honest and ethical company.

I wanted to do business with these guys, but Its very hard getting anything done or moving forward with getting something done. Sales rep is nice but they keep rescheduling to come and take measurements, and they never showed up or called me back after rescheduling 2 times.I tried calling them but you have to leave a massage and get a call back hopefully sometime soon. Im not going to leave messages and chase after them, after theyve set me up with 2 appointments and never showed up.There are other companies out there that offer the same or similar services.

Wanted to buy a Clopay door through these guys. However the Sales Rep was so unresponsive I finally gave up. Took twisting her arm to get a quote and then getting her to respond to questions was even worse. Finally she just wouldnt respond at all. So I got on line and told Clopay how terrible they were and they gave me two alternate suggestions. One being Superior Overhead Door in Sanford. I am dealing with Bobby there. Hes amazing. Made an appointment with me immediately to come and measure my door so I can order it. Im in Raleigh and they do service the Raleigh area. Do yourself a favor and call them instead of Custom Door & Gate. They are a waste of time. They lost a 5k purchase due to lazy sales reps.

Excellent customer service! We reached out prior to closing on our new home, and their rep responded very quickly. We were given various options and pricing so we knew what to expect. Once we had our closing date, they were able to schedule our install quickly. The tech did a fantastic job, and was able to roll with the punches when we found the outlet didnt work as expected. Custom Door did a great job of fixing my garage door issues, with a Jack Shaft motor for my high lift (tall ceiling) garage. Another local company, that I will not name, installed the incorrect motor and drive system for my application, and didnt have any interest in fixing the issues, so I had to find a company that could deliver a solution. Custom Door installed the proper equipment and ensured my garage operated properly and safely; thanks for the great service!

I would not even give this company one star unless I had to. Go with Precision Door! Come to find out Custom Door and Gate used the cheapest materials possible and did not even install the door correctly which is why I am now having issues. They rigged the sensors to pass inspection bc they were installed incorrectly! I will never even call these people for an estimate. Save your time and $ and go with a reputable company and do it right the first time so you are not doing it again!

Custom Door just installed a new door opener rail at my home. The installer was obviously an expert. Without manufacturing unrequired repairs like some other companies he installed the new parts, made the required adjustments and went beyond what was required to complete the repair.Highly recommended.

Custom Door & Gate installed a new garage door motor for me a few years ago. A few weeks ago the spring broke on the door so I called them the next morning. They sent a tech out by noon that day and had the door fixed within an hour. They are great at installs and service!

This month (November 2019) some original equipment installed a dozen years ago (not theirs) conked out, I called Rich Bila and he had technician Erik V. out here in a blink of an eye, installed new equipment and was gone before I knew it. Our gate system has never worked so well! Thanks to Rich and Erik for A-1 service. The following review is mine from 2018: Earlier this year when I had updates done on my 10 year-old gates, I used Custom Door & Gate based on their good reviews online. I dealt with Rich Bila via email and on the phone. He was always very responsive. I recently had problems with the SOS system which the deputies, EMS and fire department use to open the gates by sounding their yelp siren. I called Rich and told him about the problem. Technician Peter Scholz was shortly on-site (when he said he would be), fixed the problem and my gates now work perfectly. Not only were Rich and Peter very professional, they were personable as well. Custom Door & Gate is a company you can depend on, which is not something always easy to find these days.

Custom Door and Gate has done work for us several times on the commercial side, and recently installed a new Clopay garage door for my residence. Ive always been 100% satisfied with their work and products. Clopay is a superior quality door mfg. You would not believe how smooth and quiet the new Clopay door opens and closes.
