Overhead Door Company of Raleigh has done several jobs for me over the last two decades. I cant think of any reason to use another garage door company within their broad service area. At least call them for an in-your-home quote. I rarely write reviews however when I experience the behavior and disregard for a customer like I experienced this Morning I need to say something about it..My business had an electronical fire several weeks agoThe fire department damaged a roll up door getting into the Building my son call the vendor overhead door to order a replacement door ., the sales person Ken provided a quote for the door an 4 other door that need to be replaced ..my son called Ken again for a quote on the 14’ roll up door.. I do have 2 vendors I do businessThe second vendor also gave us a quote for 4 shop doors that were also damaged..My son called overhead door to confirm the quote the salesman Ken ask about the other 4 doors my son said that we were going to order the 4 shop doors from our second vendor..Ken replied well we can’t help you with the 14’ door .. go somewhere else..I was disappointed with the response so I stopped byOverhead Doors office .. ask to talk with a “Manager”I was directed to Bill .. Walked in to get general quote and met with Paul who was personable, knowledgeable, and didnt try to upsell or mansplain things to me. Their rep came to my house to measure and Paul emailed me quote only 2 hours after I left showroom. Today, Austin came and took down my 25 year old wooden door, replaced with new one and was done in less than 3 hours. He was like a ninja in that you couldnt even tell hed been there based on how well he cleaned up after. Would absolutely recommend this business to anyone who needs to repair or replace their garage door(s). Thank you Overhead!

Replaced three of our doors and they look great. Everyone we dealt with was professional and Robert wore a mask the whole time. Couldnt ask for a better experience... Update Sep 2021. One of my doors had an issue and was damaged. Austin came out for the warranty fix and replaced the top portion but realized the middle portion was damaged also. He contacted his company and made sure we got the other part replaced as well. Thank you Austin for your honesty and integrity.

Very dishonest group here. I called for a quote on supplying and delivering (no installation work) a replacement panel for a 16 door that recently incurred some damage. They quoted over $400 dollars for just bringing me the panel and were quick to mention they could replace the entire door and hardware for $1,500. By the way, the panel I needed was something they normally keep in stock. Someone please explain to me how they can sell and install a new door for $1,500 (which consists of 4 panels) why $400+ is a fair price just for bringing me one panel for me to replace myself?

Overhead Door was amazing to work with. They helped put a temporary fix on our broken spring so we could still use our door while we waited for our new one to arrive. And the new door is simply stunning. Paul was great in helping us narrow down our choices. It was especially helpful in that he could send us photos of our actual house with the various styles of doors we were choosing between to get a better idea of what it would truly look like after install. Top notch service and quality craftsmanship! We couldnt be more pleased!

They did an excellent job replacing the worn out weather stripping at the bottom of the door, and were able to come out just a few days after I called to make an appointment. The door itself was over 25 years old, so they had to install a new bracket for the weather stripping. Matthew did a great job--efficient, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He also fixed a sensor problem, and lubricated the hinges and spring to make it all noticeably quieter. He also gave me advice about maintaining the spring. I was really glad I called them, since Overhead Door Co had installed the door originally. Very pleased with their quality and service.

Great experience. Receptionist not only scheduled my appointment but also sold me on the two new Liftmaster 8550s which was quick and efficient. Appointment was supposed to be for Monday morning. Technician called me the Friday before and asked if I would like him to come out Sat morning instead which worked out great for me. Installation went smooth and I am very happy with the product. Great technology and super quite operation.

Come to replace a part on the motor sent some one that had not worked on this stile motor broke my motor charged me 300 in labor to break my motor then installed a new one charged more labor left wires hanging down below the rail for the door to hang on so fixing a motor turned out to be a 800plus dallor learning experience so would not recommend to no body

I will not do business with this company again . they hold on to your credit card without notifying you that they will be holding it on file and run it without permission. If they had called me and notified me they were running the credit card I would be fine -but they chose to run it a second time without notifying me. I’ve had to cancel my credit card for security reasons.

5 years ago I had 2 door springs replaced by Overhead door of Raleigh for my mother. This week we learned the install was done incorrectly leaving out a bearing. This miss was only discovered because we were having an new garage door opener installed by the sears franchise garage door company. Overhead door stepped up and came out the next day to correct their miss. The problem however was that the garage opener install could not be completed and Overhead door ONLY wanted to fix the potentially dangerous issue they caused and not simply set the travel on the garage door opener to complete the install that identified their miss. The garage opener installer cannot return for a week and we are left in the middle. So theres certainly enough blame to pass around between the 2 companies, but Overhead Door was trusted and paid well to replace two springs. This wasn’t done and we never would have known a bearing was missing because its not something a layman would know to look for. While they were professional on the phone and didnt debate warranty time etc, because they knew they missed, they failed to fully correct the ability for the new opener to be completed. How can you trust a company to do a job you are not familiar with? And when things go wrong, will they make it right? Or only half right?So while we wait 5 more days, I sadly only can suggest that you consider another provider to solve your garage door issues.I am further responding because Overhead door emphasized in their response that they came out 5 years later at NO CHARGE. YES they did but why? BECAUSE THEY DID A FAULTY JOB THE 1ST TIME! It was not because they wanted to help us out. They were negligent in workmanship and did a shotty job the first time. If the job was done right the first time we would not have any issues and all would have gone well.

They were totally AWESOME, made the whole process so easy and convienient from start to finish in 5 days not 2 months as the other places, and did not cost us more, but we ended up with a much better quality product than before.

Excellent products and customer service! We purchased new garage doors and a new system from Overhead Garage Door of Raleigh in the summer of 2016. We worked directly with Paul at OGD and could not be happier with the product, the customer service, and the follow up after the doors were installed. In fact, I called Paul today because we knocked our sensors out of alignment and he got me on the service schedule right away and we should have it fixed within 24 hours. They have been a pleasure to work with and we will certainly come back.

I’ve used Overhead Door several times for different issues, ie lightning strike blew out the motor and most recently to replace my double garage springs. Always very professional, courteous, and reasonable! I would definitely recommend them!

A spring, cable, and pulley broke on my 35-year old garage door late on Christmas night. I called Overhead Door Company at 8:00 am on Boxing Day. They answered the phone quickly, were polite and helpful, and scheduled the repair for later in the day. Jerry arrived early, and repaired the damage in under 30 minutes. He even lubricated the hinges and left a can of lubricant. If I wanted to complain, Id say the $209 repair cost was a little expensive, but Im the kind of guy whos still upset that candy bars cost more than 5-cents (5-cent candy bars were really a thing in the 1960s). A neighbor -- who saw the before and after -- thinks I got off cheap. Im happy to have the repairs done.

I paid to get door serviced and had more issues with the door after they left.. Called them back 4 times in 3 month to get the original problem fixed & they quit taking my calls.. They still work off a non computerized system to track their customers.. Everything is still in paper folder system.. They wanted me to pay for another service call to resolve the issue. Seriously?? Get it together Overhead door.. My Builder had been using this company for 10+ years & wont use them again because of this experience..

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I had 3 door/openers installed 4 years ago and now only one works.There has NEVER been a time when all three worked. I have had them in multiple times for service and its ALWAYS more bother than its worth. The last time it took them 3 trips to get one working and they tried to bill me for three service calls. They even threatened to enlist a collection agency. AND it stopped working the day after but I did not want them out any longer, racking up additional charges.I had them in within 6 months of the installation and they insisted I pay them even though i felt I had entitlement to a warranty call.The sales guys seemed ok but installation and service has been beyond horrible. I am very sorry I ever called them. THe doors are ok the openers suck.

Had a busted spring in my overhead door, which made a creaky irritating noise every time the door closed. It was annoying, but the service tech here came and replaced the spring in under a half hour, working like a brand new door again.

Service person was very professional but this company is a total rip off, They charged me more than 250 for just changing the circuit board. I was told it would 130 but finally it was 260, I could have a got a new system installed for that amount. Find another service.
