Nice and clean, but be careful that they raise prices without notifying you in advance, and if you have them on monthly auto-pay to your credit card, they dont warn you that your card expiration date is approaching. Then they try to deduct payment, it gets rejected, and they charge you a late fee. Finally, after all this happens, you finally get a notice that your payment has been rejected. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

INFESTED WITH BUGS + NO ELECTRICITY or SECURITY FOR OVER A WEEK but wont even return calls after 2 tries! Paid over $130/month for YEARS and oriental rugs that were in perfect condition in home for 20 years- completely destroyed by MOTHS and bug infestation within 8 months of storage here!

Indoors, extremely clean, nicely temperature controlled, and safe. I was legitimately surprised by how nice it was. Im used to seeing those outdoor accessible storage units that arent temperature controlled or anything - thats not what this is :)

This is a great storage facility with truck rentals, parking spaces for rent, and different sized storage units. The store is located right across the street from the fairgrounds in Raleigh and it is easy to get to and convenient to both 40 and 440. Every time I call in with questions, I always get Jordan who is very knowledgeable, professional, and easy to talk to. 5 star service!

I came in to see about renting a new unit for my mother’s belongings as she recently moved in with us. Autumn was the nice young lady at the desk who helped me with all my questions and setup! Their units are even temperature controlled and super clean, you don’t have to worry about any weather damage for furniture, or pests coming in!

Just leased a unit today and Autumn helped me out and she was great. Very friendly and explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions.

My mom and dad got a storage there to keep extra inventory from their shop. It really is very nice there. Jordan was really nice too. He helped them get the best deal. It was a good choice to go there.

I originally gave this place a 5 star rating, but after 3 months I have some issues. Things I have brought home from two of my three units smell musty and the cardboard boxes on the back wall had obvious water damage with some of their contents being wet. Also, they have a standard practice to raise the rent after 3 months. Advertising one price knowing you have intentions of raising it soon afterwards is a dishonest business practice. Because of these two things, I am changing my rating to a 1-star. This was the original post: Ive used many storage units and I like this storage place... neat, clean, nice.

Renting at this location was very easy. They were fully transparent and they explained to me in great detail about all fees, rules, and procedures. Jordan and Jermaine were especially helpful! I rented a storage unit AND a truck. They also had a wide variety of moving supplies, like boxes, tape, and other stuff. I didnt have to go anywhere else.

Alexa was professional and kind as she helped me with my truck rental set up a rental in South Carolina, I was only calling to see if they were a drop off location and she offered to book the truck for me, instead of having to call another place, she was able to find me a truck near me and I can return to their location in Raleigh. l may need storage later on and if I do I will be going to them. More expensive to store an RV than other places, and they had no specials. The sites available were sub-par, one even had a gully, and was unusable. Plus, they wouldnt leave the office to go to the sites with me, something the other storage places would do. Thus, I had to go all the way back to the office to ask questions. Then, they wouldnt rent a site without auto withdrawal from my bank account...not a deal breaker, but certainly the last straw.

Has just been fantastic. Great location and wonderfully nice employees. I found both Drew and Hanna to be great help to me.(Addendum November 10, 2017) My 9 month experience in storage with Security was very good. Access to the unit was not a problem. Things were very safe the entire time, and there were absolutely no problems! I intend to use this business again in the Spring when I return to my summer home. I am happy to recommend them; my experience was great.

The reservation was processed quickly and all questions answered.On move in day, paperwork was simple and quick to complete. Rental price included a new lock. Storage unit was very clean and just as described.Perfect location and facility to store daughters dorm items from Meredith College until apartment lease begins.Would highly recommend for college students/parents and families. Made the process so much easier than year before.

Security Self Storage made renting a Penske moving truck a breeze. Check-in and check-out were efficient and the truck was in good condition. We ended up having to extend our reservation a few days. All we had to do was make a quick call and our truck was secured for the extra time we needed. Staff was great, Alexa was especially friendly and helpful when we returned the truck. Though it was a very short span of time, Alexa was wonderful to work with and the unit was very clean and easy to access. However, Jordan made my box buying experience enjoyable. He was extremely funny, and he was even mulitasking, renting a rental truck while helping me. My boyfriend and I are in the process of moving and needed somewhere clean and safe to store our belongings while we transition from one home to another. I have used other local storage places in the past, but Self Storage on Beryl Road in Raleigh is the best by far. The property is secure and well-lit, and the units are spacious and clean. The setup process couldnt have been easier, and the staff was wonderful. I highly recommend Self Storage in Raleigh - we are very happy with them!

He is truly an awesome worker, didnt talk down to me, made sure i was set up and made me feel very welcome to storing my stuff here!

The management is very friendly and the unit was very useful. Also, their rates were amazing, especially because I am a poor college student! I was able to get a good deal pretty last minute for a storage unit. I also like how they do an auto-pay system, for I am an out-of-state student and it makes it easier.

Hand trucks available for free use on-site as well as a small store in case you forget your packing tape at home (did that once).The folks that manage it are absolutely fantastic, and try to make sure you are happy with everything. Bonus: climate control!Close to USPS and UPS stores, for those that are shipping out goods... so its great as a warehouse as well: even has a full loading dock so you can get truck deliveries.

I would refer these people to anyone who is moving or needs a truck. Mydaughter moved this past weekend in horrible driving rain. The kind that soaks you to the skin in 10 seconds. When I returned the truck I was wet, tired and just simply ready to drop. I never gave a minutes thought to filling the gas tank. Well today Alexa called me to tell me that the tank was empty and the charge for gasoline if they filled the tank would be over $250. But she told me she would give me a chance to avoid that charge if I would pick up the truck and take it to a gas station and fill the tank. I am so appreciative and thankful. Alexa did not have to call and honestly I would not have thought about it until I saw the charge on my card which would have been too late. Thank youAlexa. Alexa is one of those people who goes the extra mile and you don’t run into that type person very often anymore. So if you want caring service at a really good price. Go see Alexa

My daughter is an out of state student at NCSU and we were looking for a reasonable rental price and location to store items she would not need until next fall. We found both at Secure Storage. It was literally 5 minutes from UT, well lit, and very clean. The rental process was simple and the staff was very helpful. They even loaned us hand trucks for the day! Secure Storage made what could have been a stressful weekend much easier!

This is the second time we have used this location. Staff is friendly, walk you through the check in process. I know my stuff is safe and secure. Gated access. Air conditioned so I know my tv wont fry in the heat. Units are clean and doors were in great mechanical shape.

I started with these guys about a year ago and have had a wonderful experience so have stayed with them which has never happened in my experience with storage facilities. And when my son needed some storage, brought him straight over where they took care of him with 5 star service.They are always pleasant and very helpful. The units are clean and well tended. Usually within a year I have had to move due to poor air conditioning or the units were getting dirty or the rent was really skyrocketing but that is not the case here. Great communication and customer service from everyone! Thank you!

I needed a place to store a newly purchased camper and they were quite helpful in getting me a spot quickly. The site appeared clean and very secure. Parking was a little challenging in the provided spot, but still spacious.Another storage facility much closer to my house became available only two days after moving in and I asked to move out. Due to the short duration of my stay, they were very accommodating and extremely flexible with the charges!!! :)Kudos to the customer service!

They were able to accommodate all our needs - climate control, well lighted for safety, 24 hour access, easy load in/out, deliveries right to our unit, e-billing and friendly knowledgeable staff.

I received a web special of one month free! Great service, really nice facility (feels brand new), and my unit was clean and easy to access. There is a loading dock and automatic doors to make it easy for my family to move items in and out of the building. Everything felt very secure, and they even gave me a free lock for my unit that is a security disc lock! This was a great experience, thank you Security Self Storage.
