Great movers - This same company moved our daughters furniture a few years ago, so we already knew they would be great for our own move!It was easy to schedule the move, the move-team showed up right on time and were friendly & very efficient in loading and unloading the truck! We thought the move would take 6-8 hours, but only ended up taking 4.5 hours. Super fast!!Easy to work with, and we highly recommended Two Men and a Truck (although our team was 4 Men)!! :-)
James and his helper were professional, careful and FAST. They did not waste time on their phone, or stand around talking like some movers do. James offered to put our furniture back together as well. We appreciate his help! If you use this company to move, make sure you ask for James, he will not let you down!Scott, our moving coordinator was SO helpful in allowing us to change our move date to coincide with multiple changes to our closing date. We are grateful for your flexibility, Scott! Finally, none of our possessions were broken or scratched, which points to the care taken when wrapping furniture and loading boxes.
I used two men a truck to move. I feel like they took full advantage of me. First, they were late. Second, I asked them if they could take a few boxes that weren’t on the estimate. They said no, even though the truck wasn’t even half full. Then he said “if you help me, I will help you, you know” I took that to mean if I paid him he would move the 5 boxes. (After speaking with a rep from Two men and a truck, I was told that wasn’t their policy and if they had room in the truck, they should’ve taken it) Third, they moved my bed frame whole instead of taking it apart. When they couldn’t get it in to the bedroom of my new apartment they left it I. The middle of my Living room floor. I asked them to take it apart and move it to my room and put it back together. They said no. That wasn’t something they could do. (That is part of the moving process. I confirmed with the Rep—that is this job). Finally, they cracked my bed frame, put a whole in the wall, and destroyed a small cabinet I had. When Two Men and. Truck called to see how my move went, I told them. The only gave me $70 for the bed frame (which is now completely cracked) and the small cabinet. They also took 100 of my bill. I don’t think it was enough but thought I should be transparent. Don’t use them. Just don’t.
I am in the middle of remodeling our home and used Two Men and a Truck to move out our furniture upstairs during that process. Jesus and Jonathan were great to deal with! They took good care of wrapping the furniture, dismantling the beds and placing the parts in a zip lock bag and attached to each bed and were good guys to have in your home. I even had a family emergency in the middle of them packing - they got it done without watching over them - which was great!I have used this franchise in the past, and will continue to do so! Highly recommend.
I am amazed and extremely pleased with our team of Jesus, Marquel and Ramon from Two Men and a Trick movers. In under 6 hours they loaded, moved and unloaded my household with a choreographed excellence. All paperwork explained, all items treated carefully, friendly to talk to and much more. I very grateful for their part in making moving just that much less stressful. Everyone involved from scheduling, financing and the move itself wasflawless. I recommend this company AND this moving team to anyone needing the best! Thank you for all you did!
This is my fourth time using Two Men and a Truck and honestly theyre the only moving company I will ever use. They are professional, dependable and always so kind. This time I was moving out of my apartment into a storage unit. The movers I had, Tony and James, and their trainees came in, packed everything up and had the whole placed moved and in the storage unit in under 2 hours. It was AMAZING and they packed my storage unit so neatly. Two Men and a Truck truly made my moving day a breeze and I cannot recommend them enough.
I am extremely pleased with my moving experience with Two Men and A Truck. The two movers, Robert Smith and Magdoleno were amazing. They were very professional, strategic and handled our furniture and other items with care and respect. If I have to move again, I am special requesting Robert Smith and Magdoleno.
I am so grateful for the three guys (Richard R., Nate, and Jupiter) First of all, I thought I was only having 2 guys, but when I they arrived, I had a bonus guy to help me move! The management team was also checking in on both the move out and move in to be sure I was taken care of. I only had a short time to prepare for this move and was so nervous. The guys were so polite and put my concerns at ease. They respected my items that were fragile and carefully wrapped everything so it was packed and delivered as I had hoped. I really enjoyed working with them, and especially appreciated all of their kindness, respect, and diligence with this move. I would like to express my gratitude for this team and wish I could give them more than 5 stars. They worked so hard, went without eating lunch just to be sure I was taken care of. Their work ethic is so appreciated. Thank you so much for taking care of me!
I paid for two guys to help my dad and I unload a uhaul into a 2-bedroom apartment. My 61 year old dad and I unloaded probably 3x as much as the professionals did. I wonder if they get paid by the hour... And on top of that, they managed to scratch up half of the large pieces of furniture they moved. At least I get to learn about refinishing wood tables now though! Pathetic. Thanks for nothing.
As everybody know - moving is stressful! But the team from Two Mean and a Truck, Edwin, Rich and Jamisha made it an easy experience. Professional, responsive & fun! I can only recommend this Company and especially this crew! Thank you so much from Betty and myself!
This was by far the best moving experience every. We has 3 movers the team lead Chris, was exceptional! If I ever have to move again --- hoping never, Id request Chris
Do not purchase the extra protection or sign anything until you have looked through every item after delivery.I recently had Two Men and a Truck move me locally with storage. The person who quoted me was pleasant and the guys who did the labor were kind and easy to work with. The actual moving part I had no issue with.During my move I was highly encouraged by management to pay an extra $500 for increased insurance. Since my things were going to be moved into storage and out that opened up extra possible damage. I felt a little pressured on that, but it made sense so I did it.After my things were delivered and I was able to go through everything I realized a few items were missing (bed frame, glass for my patio set, ladder, and a pack and play). When I filed a claim for the missing items it was denied stating I had signed receipt of my items and they held no liability. I asked to be called multiple times and all I got was an email saying they had closed my claim and since I had signed receipt of all items they had no liability. They claim to have searched for the items, but there is no where else these items could be. My home was sold and the house was emptied. There is absolutely no way anyone could go through 2700 sqft worth of house while their employees are standing there waiting to leave. I am appalled by the lack of customer service. I feel like I wasted my money on extra insurance and honestly they could have taken anything and had no recourse. Because of the way they handled this situation and my missing items I would not recommend using them unless you have a small amount of things you can keep track of. I really wish they had handled things better because the staff who moved the items did a good job and I would have potentially used them again/recommend.
Great mannerly group of hard working men.Hard job well done. Thanks
I guess theyre out of business now, since over the last two weeks, two phone calls have gone to voice mail with no calls returned, and two texts have not been answered. My TV stand has gone missing during the move and it would be have been nice if they could look for it. The move was fine otherwise, aside from a piece of my nightstand getting broken.
The men who showed up were incredible! Great guy - worked their tails off in incredibly hot weather. Well done
Summary: Poor timeliness, communication, and follow-up. Good job actually moving the furniture.Movers showed up to move us out approximately 3 hours after the given time window. They did call that morning and let me know they would be late, but they missed even their updated ETA by an hour. I was told it was because my request, originally through the Durham franchise, had been transferred to Raleigh. I dont mind it being transferred, but I feel as though this should have been handled in advance and is not an excuse for being late. They did a good job moving our stuff out of the apartment. The initial delay, however, caused a change in my plans where I could no longer drive to my destination in one day (and stay with friends) and I had to book a hotel that night. I woke up early to drive the rest of the way and meet the guys at the destination at our agreed upon time. They ended up arriving 2 hours late AFTER I had to initiate contact with them to get an update. After the move, I called to inquire about a refund on the hotel as I dont believe I should bear the cost of it when their lack of timeliness directly impacted my ability to make the drive as initially planned. I was told that it would be escalated to a manager and they would get back to me - that never happened. Only reason this review is not 1-star is because the movers, despite the lack of timeliness, had good attitudes and did a good job actually moving the furniture.Edit: Thank you for the response. I dont have any objection that the delivery was supposed to happen the next day. I am saying, however, that the initial delay in moving out of the apartment caused me (not the movers) to change plans and spend the night in a hotel. And please re-check your records, as I did call Allison back (I admit it was a month after the move) and have a conversation with her. Ill leave it here and maybe we just dont see eye to eye on this, but I maintain my rating.
I was the last job on a Friday afternoon and the two young men had great attitudes, were professional and quickly got the items moved with care.
The guys showed up on time and were super professional. They were fun to work with and kept moving all day with smiles, despite rainy conditions. All my furniture was moved without damage. They used blankets to protect all the wood. Great guys! I would definitely hire them again.
My tv was stolen from their delivery truck while in the care of their drivers. I was told by the operations manager that I would be reimbursed for the loss, however, despite multiple calls to get the information to file the official claim and be reimbursed have gone unanswered even though I paid for their insurance. Terrible way to do business. If you value your belongings and your money chose a different servicer. The response from two men’s and a truck is definitely incorrect. My service was September 8-9 of 2021. Again, further evidence that this company isn’t worth your time or money.
This is the third time in 10 years that I have used Two Men and a Truck for a local move. I moved a houseful of furniture at the end of February 2021, which was a logistically complicated move. Started at one house, dropped off furniture at a second location, and finished at a third spot. My estimator Jacob Porter was fantastic when I set up the move. He answered all my questions, was knowledgeable, and most importantly accurate with his estimation! After the move, I questioned the accuracy of my bill and called back to Jacob. With much patience, Jacob went over the charges and explained everything in detail. I was charged correctly - but he was willing to reach out to his upper management if I needed further reassurance. I am so impressed with this employee, that I just had to write a review. Every company should be so lucky to have an employee like Jacob working for them. I will use 2men again. Definitely. Move was on time, perfect, and estimation was on spot! Thanks Jesus and Jamal for your care of my heavy furniture! You all did great!
Thats crazy. I never even been to this place. What is Google talking about. And the 2 stars is staying for not hiring a great candidate for the mover position. You guys could of had one of the best employees. Instead you rejected a perfect person for the job. 6 foot 9 / 230 lbs of muscle. Your lost.
What a great experience we had with Two Men and a Truck and we couldnt recommend them more highly! Karrel, Cruz, Larry and Ian were professional, hard working and such nice guys, too! Manager, Ray, also stopped by (and Patrick from Customer Care). We felt very well taken care of!! Moving can be stressful, but it really helps to have such a competent team! Thank you so much! :)
I wish I could give this company a good review because I’ve heard great things about them but our experience was comically bad.We made a reservation for 3 guys to help us move out of our 1,600 square foot house and when they showed up there were only 2 guys and they had no tools with them. It took them 9 hours to move a 2-bed/mattress house which is terrible considering we had already broken down most of the furniture and had staged all of the boxes closest to the front door for easy pickup.Of that 9 hours, 30 minutes were spent trying to force a $2,500 stainless steel refrigerator through a door that was too narrow before realizing it would only fit if the front door of the house was removed - which they werent able to do since they didnt show up with any tools. They severely damaged our fridge on all six sides, and even shipped it completely upside down (the wheels of the refrigerator were in the air when it was coming off the truck). Once the front door was removed from the house the fridge went out with ease. It is absolutely unbelievable. The fridge looks like it was set next to a bomb that went off. They lost all 3 of our refrigerator handles (2x french door handles and 1x freezer handle) and the associated hardware and setscrews. To make matters worse, the mover upon entering our home talked us out of the warranty because he said he would “take care of our stuff.” Ive seen this same approach in other reviews on Google, so Im not sure if its the same guy coercing homeowners out of taking the warranty, or if its just a shady tactic from a company that just loves doing a mediocre job.If youre worried about COVID-19 - dont fret, because these guys dont wear masks, either.Your experience may be better than mine but ours was absolutely dreadful from start to finish. We received a call from the claims department and were told the best they said they could do for our fridge was a check for $180. They never found our refrigerator handles that they lost in the move and new refrigerator handles are $100 a piece and they lost three of them - so overall we come out in the hole on this one. To make matters even more hilarious, when the claims manager sent us the final report telling us what our check amount would be for the damage, she accidentally sent us another customers sensitive information instead of our own. This company is comically bad - the level of incompetence only seen in a Disney movie by a twirly villain with a curly mustache. Best of luck and warmest regards to anyone that decides to use them in the future.Attached are photos of the damage that was done to our refrigerator so that you can see for yourself how well this company takes care of other peoples belongings.
Andy and Ramon helped my parent move locally. They were on time, professional and very efficient. We couldn’t have been more pleased with how well they cared for their furniture and belongings. We highly recommend Andy and Ramon. The best crew we’ve dealt with in years!
If I could give them a negative review, I would! We were told by the head guy on the crew that we could trust him to move our things without harm so we did not get the extra insurance. But yet, they broke an over 100 year old hand painted family heirloom lamp, another glass lamp, put a half dollar size hole in our king size brand new mattress and STOMPED on our boxes in their truck to squeeze more boxes in. OH and left things behind that we had to pack in our vehicles to move. Tried customer service, claims department and even spoke with regional manager and what compensation they offered was pittance compared to what we spent for this local move (over $2000). PLEASE DONT USE THESE FOLKS - deplorable service from start to finish! Still fighting legal battle to resolve issue and sent email to owner without response. Movers who care HAHAHAHA and its been almost a month and NO compensation check received yet.
Christian S. and Richard R. were my movers and they did a great job!
Did not use their services. I called for a quote. The representative was very polite and he answered all of my questions.
I did not use Two Men And A Truck, but my neighbor did and before you hire this company, you need to read this..My neighbors live on the third floor, and arent home, or they must be deaf. My entire apartment is shaking, because the movers are just letting things fall down the stairs. I took a look, and a couch was being drug down the stairs, no care at all for the furniture. No wonder some reviews reflect this level of care.I told them they were making a lot of noise and being inconsiderate, and they told me to mind my own business. Thats fair, ill let them do their job. Truck 25 Raleigh 6/3/21.Everyone should be aware of this before renting with this company.
Professional and quick - the Two Guys and a Truck are great movers and I highly recommend.
The movers showed up on time and were very professional. I had furniture moved around a the house and some furniture hauled away. The experience was fantastic and the price was definitely right! Would use them again in a heartbeat!
Excellent service! This is twice I have used this company, both experiences were awesome! I would highly recommend this moving company.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE!!!! Worst part: they decided 2 days after they moved us that they did not charge enough. I would give them no stars if possible. They “miscalculated” and charged us an additional $700, or to put it in perspective, 30% more than the original charge. The crew was late both to pack and then move and unload. They left a smallish U-haul worth of things that they never packed at our old place that we had to pay to move. They unloaded at least 25 boxes in the wrong rooms, even though each box was marked. They damaged the doorbell to our new place, a new leather couch, an Adirondack chair...I could go on. They packed things from the kitchen in the same box as garage items and master bedroom items. This was at least 1/2 the boxes. Moving is stressful enough, do NOT add to it by making the mistake of hiring this company.
They were on time, friendly and did a professional job. Also, worked quickly and Efficiently. Will definitely use them again.
*update: the manager reached out and apologized profusely, in addition to handling the behavior they also refunded us an hour. At least management took care of this!!I recently moved from Raleigh, NC to Apex. Before booking the move months ago I spent time online and on the phone inventorying my entire home with the estimator. After explaining what I had the guy on the phone said it sounded like I would need two men and a truck. As experts I didn’t question them. Unfortunately when the two men arrived around 9:10, Cody and Phillip, they were extremely confused, told us they were only told about 30 boxes, and had another job to get to after us even though we had them for 5-7 hours. They took over 5 hours to pack up our house and took at least one 30 minute break talking to their female manager. They said this would not be charged to us. Once they got to the house I tried to help them unload and Cody yelled at me saying it was a liability for me to be on the ramp or truck, which I understood and asked if he could unload and I could help run stuff up to save on time. He rudely said it was their job but he couldn’t tell me not to touch my own stuff. I then replied by saying we only had two hours left and didn’t want to be charged. Cody rudely said it would be the same hourly rate and said it didn’t matter. I asked if he would just put the beds inside and we could put them back together to save time or put the boxes on the main floor alone. He said no that they would complete everything and the beds were barely even taken apart. Phillip was nice but moved slow due to a limp (he obviously couldn’t help it) and Cody was so lazy and slow taking one box at a time. His male manger ended up coming with two young men to get what they couldn’t from our old house and got it in so fast. They were wonderful and so polite. Once they left the Phillip and Cody told another smoke break around 10-15 mins. As they were taking boxes up Cody asked where they went and I told him the third floor, he rudely said “are you kidding me?” He proceeded to do this each time he had to go to the third floor and I felt so uncomfortable. As he was taking a box spring up he saw a young child in the neighborhood and screamed “Go to college kid”. Shortly after (~45 minutes) we didn’t see Phillip and assumed he was putting the bed together even though we asked them not to, as it was hot and we figured he wanted to be in the AC. Then they switched off and Cody was gone for ~45 minutes. We were so confused and annoyed at this point as to why only one person was moving box by box. After another 4 hours they were finally done around 6. Upon filling out the paperwork, Cody said “this is gonna hurt” and charged us $1575, around $400 more than we were quoted. I asked if this included breaks and he said he didn’t take any but took off 15 minutes, a blatant lie. I told them that they took a 30 min lunch and then a smoke break and Cody denied it. By then I was so exhausted and tired that I just wanted them to leave so I said whatever and signed. Because it was so hot and Phillip was nice I still ended up tipping but half of what I initially intended to give each. When we went upstairs to lay down, our beds weren’t put together and the boxes were in the middle of the rooms so you couldn’t even walk or put the mattress down. We ended up having to unpack each room in order to sleep. What were they doing during the time they disappeared?!? After calling the store three days in a row to no avail / returned calls, I have no choice but to turn to corporate to try and get a little bit of my money back that should have never been charged in the first place. Cody was the slowest, laziest mover who didn’t care about our things. God forbid if they broke something we wouldn’t be able to get ahold to file a claim.
Great experience from start to finish. I personally used this company in 2019 and have referred to many friends and colleagues since. The sales personnel is not only friendly but thorough and professional while the movers are all personable and helpful. I referred Two Men to my sister and was personally present during the service and walked away impressed again. Kudos to everyone involved with this amazing company!
Would highly recommend using Two Men & a Truck for all moving needs. Everything was smooth and easy from start to finish. Andy & Ramone are the best!
Let me start by saying the office staff setting up the appointment is by far the nicest, but the movers and managers lack a lot of professionalism. I contacted the CSR the morning of my move to ask if I would receive a call prior to arrival or would they just show up? The CSR told me she would call and ask and let me know. 20 min later I received a call that the guys couldnt make it they didnt have any gas in the truck because of the gas shortage. I then asked were you not aware of this last night? Could yo have not called to let me know so I could try to make other arrangements? Then the gentleman told me he had some guys that could come later in the afternoon so I agreed. I then received a call that the guys were on the way. So, I waited 1.5 hours no show so I call again. The gentleman says let me see where they are? The driver of the truck calls to say he is on the way there was a mix up in paper work. An hour later they arrive and the move begins. I leave to go to the new home and guys come about 1.5 hours later. Move starts.. all i asked was to hook washer and dryer up and put one bed frame together. I then see my mattress folded in half like a burrito and I ask what happen and the gentleman says oh its okay. WELL to make this short the movers leave my home door wide open furniture on front yard and I have to call to find out whats going on. I later see my washer is scratched all up my TV is cracked. I call the manager and he says oh my guys are almost done. I said well they are done because they are gone and didnt say a word. I asked how much is the bill and he said he would let me know, but later find the receipt on my kitchen counter. I knew I needed to speak with some one prior to being charged so I put a stop on my credit card. Monday Morning my card was declined 4 times because the company tried to charge with out even reaching out to me. When the card was declined it was at that time I told the lady on the other end of the phone I wasnt paying anything until someone called me about the damages etc. I was given a credit of an hour an half but now being offered 125.36 for the king mattress, tv and washer they ruined. Oh because insurance only pays .60 per lb. I could see if this was an accident of breaking something but this was because the movers just didnt care!! I would think twice about using this company for any services. I asked the movers when they were loading from the storage unit if I needed to stay and the response was NO! I was with the movers when the furniture was brought into the home and when they left without any explanation. WE all experienced logistical issues due to the gas shortage, but if there was an issue with getting to the job then someone should have reached out the night prior. I am not here to debate my experience only trying to save others for wasting their money to use your services! AS I said before I personally wouldnt use this company or recommend to anyone.
Recently had Two Men and a Truck move a bedroom set for us to a storage building. Savannah in the office was super friendly and professional. She stayed in contact with us prior to and after the move to ensure everything went smoothly. The guys arrived at the appointed time and moved everything without a hitch. They were awesome and very pleasant to work with. We would definitely recommend and will be using this company again in the future. Thank you!
Words cannot express how wonderful my experience with Two Men and a Truck was! From my initial phone call with Cecilia until the end of the move, the entire process was super easy. My movers were Joseph and Reggie and they took great care of my items. They wore masks throughout the service and never stopped hustling. I know that the world is hyper-sensitive about everything right now (just read reviews on Google;-)), but this is a top notch company who cares about their employees and their customers. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
The two movers that helped us did a phenomenal job. They move our all the major furniture of our apartment in under 3 hours and did so with no damages. The movers were fast and professional and didnt waste a minute of time getting us moved.
My family has used Two Men and a Truck for many of our moves. They have proven the right choice, yet again. Moving from Raleigh to Florida in two days, loading in two hours, unloading in ONE hour with two guys is nothing short of incredible. I will definitely recommend friends and other family to Two Men and a Truck.
This crew was amazing! We did the pre-walk through and the only way to describe what happened after that was efficient, fast and stay out the way! They were in and out in approximately 45 minutes and had everything I needed moved and in place. I could not have ask for a better experience. Outside of the heat, they were happy to be there. smiling and justwilling to help with whatever I needed. I strongly recommend this crew to anybody and will recommend Two Men and A Truck to others that have moving needs. Thank you will never be enough for the help they provided today. I need to buy all of them a championship belt because today, they were my champions!
“A Coaching Opportunity is definitely needed with their Mangers & Staff.”/The customer is not valued !!“Truck was about 30 minutes late which delayed my Driver and made him late for his next appointment. I was contacted by the office to review experience. I share that the truck was late, men was slow & did not wear mask. The lady that answered the phone said a manager would call me to discuss...Mary Harris or Richard Rivera in the Holly Springs office to review my concern. I did not receive a call from anyone. I later called about a week later and spoke with Mary Harris and was told Richard would call because she could not resolve my concern. She had limitations. There was no call from Richard. I called the next day and spoke with Mary who said she would have Richard Rivera call me. It took Richard about 3 hours to return my call. Richard then advise me that there was nothing he could....no type of compensation for my time. He did not apologize appropriately. The customer service was awful.Management did not try to retain me as a customer. Not a pleasant experience!! Will not recommend Two men and a Truck, HollySprings, North Carolina!!
Chris PL, Reggie Owens, & Tyleam loaded all my furniture and boxes from storage in an efficient and careful manner. They then moved everything to my new home in a different part of the state, unloaded my belongings, set up my furniture and cleared out the packing materials! They were quick, efficient, careful and polite! I couldn’t have had a better moving experience! Thanks Two Men and a Truck!
(Posting to right Two Men and a Truck branch). I used Two Men and Truck in late May for move into new Townhouse. What a nightmare. Some details from moving experience include 1) movers cracked my storm door when moving out, 2) I paid for packing but all my suits and dress shirts were waded up then thrown in bottom of boxes (vs. using extra boxes to hang) and 3) I waited 3 hours in empty house waiting for anyone from Two Men and Truck give me time for arrival. I called distribution center with only feedback was not usual. No apology or direction on time. My movers finally showed up with only well, we are here now. Two Men and a Truck provided a check to partially pay for cracked door but they were very clear about not being interested in addressing or compensating other issues.Ive done many moves over years without any of this mess. Recommend avoiding Two Men and Track at all costs.
The office was very easy to contact, gave accurate estimates and follow up prior to move was excellent. The movers were on time, courteous, packed well and effeicently. Nothing damaged or broken.
This was the first time I hired movers and I was truly pleased. It was a smooth experience from booking, to moving out, and moving in the new place. Anthony and Elton were very professional and did the heck out of their jobs. They were friendly and approachable and didnt need anything from me at all. All of my stuff made it safe and sound without a scratch. They were truly AWESOME!! I was a little worried about moving during Covid-19 but once they arrived all my worries went away. Thanks to everyone from Two Men and a Truck for everything 😁. I will definitely be using them again on my final move!! 10 Stars, 2 Thumbs up!!
Used this company back in 2017 and had no issues. Unfortunately that is not the case for our recent experience with them. We had three guys for our move. They seemed very nice and we have them each a good tip at the end of the move. The next day I finished emptying all the boxes and realized the box with our two xboxes and other xbox items was missing. Went back to our other house to make sure they didnt leave it there and it wasnt there. This box was the only one we didnt tape shut because we kept the xboxes out till the last minute so the kids could play them and we didnt have any tape at the house to tape it shut the morning of the move so you could clearly see what was in the box. Got in contact with the company and after two weeks of going back and forth they just sent us and email saying they would give us $24 for the items their movers stole from us. $24 for at least $1,000 worth of electronics. Make sure you dont let them talk you out of getting the extra insurance on your stuff because I guess that gives them the freedom to steal your stuff without any consequences.
I had a long distance move. Two Men and a Truck had the best prices and it was worth it! I had the team of James and Tony G and they were incredible! Professional, personable, and they worked hard! 3rd story apartment in the heat and they still crushed it! I was blown away! If I ever need movers again I would request them without question! Very glad I went with 2 Men and a Truck!
DO NOT Hire this Company!! My husband hired them for the 2nd time, first time in 2013 in another city they did a good job! However, in 2021, this Company out of Greensboro, NC did a terrible job. They were late and had to get a Rider Truck because one of there trucks was in another city! The guys were young and slender, they didn’t look like they could handle moving our full household with heavy large furniture! Four guys showed up and the lead man had only been with the company for 2 months and only 23 years old! It took 2 days because the first day, over $20 thousand dollars of Jewelry was stolen. My 18K Gold Wedding Ring, Gold Gucci Bracelet, 14K Gold college ring, another 14k Gold/Diamond ring and $20 out of my wallet. My jewelry was on the lower shelf in a nice jewelry box, of a book shelf! All movers were informed that the book case had personal items that they did not have to move, that we would move ourselves! The one mover in our bedroom took along time and was on his cell phone a lot! After about 5 hrs 2 of the guys decided to go to lunch and convinced the other 2 to go, even though the lead tried to discourage them. I decided to treat them for lunch and got my wallet, which was in my purse on the book case, I noticed $20 was missing! But I didn’t want to make a big deal of it. My husband went into the bedroom to make a personal call and noticed one of my other nice rings on the floor, I came in the bedroom and daw my other ring on the top of the book case and I asked him where he found it? He said, it was on the floor, I immediately looked for my jewelry box the ring was in, when I opened it I noticed my Wedding Ring, College Ring, Gold Bracelet and another Gold Ring were All missing, my heart sunk. I told my husband to catch them before they pulled out the driveway. He asked the lead man to have them all come back in the house! By this time they knew we had discovered something was stolen. We called the police and their supervisors, they were all searched (routinely) No body search and my jewelry was not found, we suspected the guy who was in the bedroom a long time; he became very irate and disrespectful, my husband told him to leave our home! We filed a complaint with the Company! The owner called and shared his sympathy, we asked for a meeting g with him and I took my paperwork from Kay’s jewelers showing the value of my jewelry so he could give to the insurance company! He told us he had fired 2 of the guys, one for displaying disrespectful behavior and the other he had had problems with before! We had paid the add’l $275.00 damages or loss, but was told that only applied to furniture! We found out 2 Weeks later that the insurance company denied our claim because no one was arrested! I have been heartbroken ever since, my my gave me the center (Emerald Cut Diamond 1.5ct.) over 25 years ago and my husband upgraded the ring 25 years ago with a 18 Kt Gold band and 1Kt of Princess Diamonds on the sides of the larger Diamond, it was custom made and I adored it because it was from my Mom and Husband! The owner sent me an email, after the denial of the claim and suggested I check with my homeowners insurance! We did not have a marine policy, but I had always protected my jewelry, I never thought I had to hide my valuables from people we hired ($3,275.00)to perform a service in Our Home, with us there! This company hired young, uneducated men to perform manual labor and the workers CAN NOT BE TRUSTED, they were cheaper than the more Reputable Companies!! This was a Life Lesson for Us; Remember you get what you pay for! Beware, Stand Clear and Don’t go Near☹️
Scheduled a move for 7.23.2020 and time of arrival was 9-10am. The crew was on time, introduced themselves, wore masks and informed me of the move process. After an initial walk though, the guys went to work. I didnt have to do a thing. Anything I had questions about, they answered professionally.I moved to a 3rd floor apartment, with no elevator. I thought this would be difficult for the team. They replied, Its no problem, we can handle it. And handle it, they did. Mark and Dequarius were phenomenal. I also liked that Susanna from the Operations office called me during the move and after to check to see how everything was going. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.
Absolutely the worst experience with movers Ive ever had! They were supposed to arrive between 2-3pm. I finally called them at 3:30 only to find out they were at another job but was assured that my movers were still coming. At 6:30 p. m. I was informed they went to another customers house and would not be coming! How do movers just not show up and then offer no resolution? This is completely unacceptable and the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. I will never use Two Men and A Truck and hope whoever is reading this will find another mover! I recommend Branch Out Delivery in Raleigh!
Dedrick and Jay made a difficult job easy. Thanks again! On our next move, we’re asking for Dedrick and Jay!
Our movers Timothy B and Patrick O were very professional and did an excellent job wrapping up our furniture for the move. If and when we move again we will definitely use you again because of them.
They arrived late. Scratched EVERY SINGLE PIECE of furniture we own. Not exaggerating. I have about 30 photos of damage they did to both our furniture and the house we left (including holes in the walls and scratches on the front door, which we now have to repair). Won’t even come close to giving us what it will cost to replace or repair everything. Just don’t do it. Absolutely horrendous.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Our three man crew consisted of two capable men and a guy who could barely carry his own weight. Countless times he had to put heavy items down in a hurry and damaged them in the process. Not to mention a 7 inch scratch in our brand new hardwoods. But that is not the reason your should steer clear of this company. They do not care about your personal property or your wallet. Through the gross negligence of the manager our 900lb safe was left UNSTRAPPED while the truck was driven 15 miles. The safe tipped over and crashed through our $3,000 dining table. Two men and truck offered us $167 as compensation. I am beyond angry at the management of this whole situation. Take all these bad reviews as a sign--THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT GET YOUR BUSINESS!
Ive used other moving companies and Two Men and a Truck has surpassed all other companies. On time, personable and professional. Was quoted for 5 hours and the move only took three! Amazing job and definitely will use them in the future (exclusively).
The movers were professional, fast but careful, polite and made my out of state move as stress free as possible. I have used Two Men and a Truck twice and was completely satisfied both times.
Office team was able to give me quotes and reach out to me in many different ways for my convenience. Moving team did an excellent job with furniture and were very friendly. Reasonable pricing and great service.
My family and I had an outstanding experience during our move with Two Men and A Truck. Our movers James, Shawn, and Shelton were the best. They came in focused and took good care in wrapping and packing the truck with our things. The guys worked well together and the move went extremely smooth. I have already recommended Two Men and A Truck to another friend who’s moving. Hopefully she’ll get James, Shawn, and Shelton🤗 Thank you guys for a great, stress free move!!!
This was my second move with the company. The first move was seamless. My most recent move was back in April. The guys that moved me were courteous, professional and worked extremely hard. During the move a lamp was broken. Ive moved several times in my life, and things breaking is expected. Along with that compensation is expected as well. I was paid pennies on the dollar for the lamp. The check was not enough to replace the lamp. A couple of weeks after the move the slats on 2 of our beds broke. We discovered the beds werent put together properly and a slat on 1 of the beds was not placed on at all. I had to call SEVERAL times over 3 weeks for someone to resolve the issue. I simply wanted a tech or anyone to come out and fix the beds. We were sleeping on mattresses on the floor. Eventually my husband had to figure out to fix it. We spent over a hundred dollars fixing the bed and we were reimbursed less than $30. Also, after we unpacked, I noticed a bottle of cognac was missing. It was a novelty bottle that we purchased at a duty free shop in an airport in France. So not easily replaced. We looked for the bottle for hours before we accused one of the guys of stealing it. Its a terrible position to be in to be obligated to report that someone stole something, we dont haphazardly accuse people of stealing. I mentioned the missing bottle of alcohol and I was given a long speech in a disparaging manner about how the men are not allowed to move liquids and how all of their employees go through background ckecks . I reasserted that nonetheless my item was stolen. The tone of the claims manager went from bubbly and friendly to dismissive. In the end, I was told I could report the matter to law enforcement. So they did nothing to replace the liquor. I would recommend to anyone that is considering hiring this company for a move, go with another company that has better coverage if items are lost, damaged and/or broken. Absolutely do your research on insurance reimbursement. Reimbursing for damaged items based on weight does not accurately account for value. Dont be fooled by this. This experience has made us rethink ever moving again!
Great experience, would definitely use again for another move!
We have used Two Men and a Truck 4 different times and each time the experience has been exceptional. Also, on every occasion the final cost has always been well below the original estimate. No way that I would ever consider using anyone else.
2 very respectful Men. They new exactly how to move in a timely manner so you were not charged for slow play. Quality without a doubt.
The crew that packed things, loaded them, transported them and then unload things was outstanding. They really worked hard and took good care of our things. I would recommend them to anyone who might ask. Thank you Jonah, Ty Jajuan and Shelton.Updated 31 July 2020I had to take off a couple of stars after discovering damage to several pieces of furniture including a rather large crack in the lid of a 130+ year old Steinway piano. Weve also discovered significant scratches on other pieces of furniture and the side of our refrigerator.
This is our 11th move with Two Men and a Truck. We can always count on them to be organized, positive, and on time. The Raleigh-Durham NC team is well-trained and professional.
Trenched my yard with their truck while moving my neighbor. Did not notify me of this once it happened. Had to reach out to company myself and issue still hasnt been resolved.
Movers were on time, very pleasant, and careful, but did not have the supplies needed for packing, as requested. They mentioned that they have trouble with the paperwork they receive being accurate, so they know what to bring. But supplies were brought and I was not charged for the waiting time.
Our move was made on a rainy day but our crew... Chris, Miles, and Destin... not only kept our stuff dry but maintained a positive and pleasant attitude through it all. A great job all roundCheers Ed B
Awesome experience with two men and a truck! Mark and Keea were super professional and speedy quick. Will definitely use them again in the future
Mr. Chuck and Mr. Darius were very punctual, efficient, and professional. It was amazing to see how effective just two men and truck can be and we are grateful for the help they provided to our family. We will never forget the experience. God bless them and Merry Christmas!!!
This is the best moving experience I have had. After moving several times over the past ten years I have experienced good movers. The team-Joe, Anthony and Guy-however outperformed everyone else. They were courteous, professional and genuinely good people to work with. I cannot say enough nice things about them.
I moved from VA to NC and was impressed with the professionalism of your Two Men that loaded and unloaded my belongings. They were careful and considerate from start to finish. I want to especially commend Marquis as being a star employee for your company. Myself as being a manager of around 15 employees most of my life, I could immediately recognize the qualities that Marquis possessed. Every company can benefit from having these special people on their staff. Besides having a truck and supplies, your field employees are the face of your company and you have a rare asset with curtious and knowledgeable employees out there in the trenches making it happen day after day performing hard manual labor that only a few are willing to do. I will recommend your company without hesitation to my friends and neighbors. Thanks again for a move that was as good as a move could get.
Chris and Reggie were great! They were professional, careful with our furnishings, and efficient. Thanks so much guys!
I have used Two men and Truck before and would hire them again. I have also recommended them to others. They do a great job, the people are friendly. Just good folks.
Other then the late start on the pick up day this was an amazing move. I cannot say enough about the two movers that were assigned to us, Chuck Adams and Da’quan. Two amazing guys with such great attitudes. They loaded and unloaded our belongings quickly with great care.Getting this move set up with the company initially and the follow up was also spot on. If you ever need movers this is the company to go with. Believe me I know! Being a member of the armed forces I have gone through many moves. I know a good company/crew when I see them.
From start to finish this has been an easy and wonderful experience. They came and did a walk through and gave a reasonable estimate. Moving day they sent four guys and two trucks. The guys arrived within the window of time predetermined on the contract and man did they hustle!! Within 2 hours they had our 4 bedroom home packed and loaded! Then two more hours to unload and set up our new house! These guys were amazing!! Nothing was damaged, everything was wrapped and carefully handled. They were polite and kind and fun! They went out of their way to help and really took care of us. We were originally quoted for 3 hours more than it took and so the company prorated our cost bringing us in way way way under budget!! I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend themTo everyone I know!! And the four guys specifically who moved us were the best team of movers I’ve ever encountered.
Two Men and a Truck was such a pleasure to work with. From the beginning process of getting information and pricing for my move to the final move day, the staff was professional, courteous, and helpful. Mark and Reggie moved my stuff in a timely and efficient manner. They took a lot of care to protect all my furniture and to make sure they didn’t mark the walls going up and down stairs. My move day was a breeze because of them! Thank you for such great service!
The moving experience was great. From the initial contact and appointment with Pam, the follow up with Samantha and the move itself. The guys were on time, courteous and professional. They worked with all our requests and two cats to keep them in the house.Fast, took care of the furniture and items, wrapped, padded and where ever they needed to go.They even finished earlier then expected.Great job, very happy with the move. Will highly recommend. Thanks Larry, Cruz and Karrell for a great job done.Brad and Kelly
Great reliable friendly handle the move with care..
First off, whatever they quote you, double it. Absolutely terrible experience with this company at both the local level and when contacting headquarters. I am disappointed I have to give them even one star. Two estimators came out and gave us an estimate saying we are right at the threshold of one truck but to make sure we could fit it in one truck, to rent a U-haul and pack somethings ourselves. We took Tom the estimators advice and rented a 17 U-haul and packed it to the brim. The day of the move, the movers (who had no idea who Tom was), were unable to fit everything on one truck and even filled the second truck about 1/3 of the way full. This means we not only had to pay double, we were also out the time and money of renting a U-Haul truck and loading it ourselves when everything we loaded would have been able to fit on the second truck they sent out. All of this on the day we were closing on two houses. To make matters worse, we also had to disassemble the furniture ourselves and lost a washer and dryer when they did not have the tools to unhook them (never mentioned by the estimator or movers beforehand). The movers were nice enough, but we ended up having some items broken. We signed the final cost that the movers provided us only to have our credit card changed another $700 a few days later without our permission! We contacted multiple people at the local office and would get the run around being passed from person to person or simply brushed off. We contacted corporate headquarters which was an absolute waste of time. All they said was that the local franchise had already made their decision on the issue.Save yourself the frustration, the money, and the time by going with another company.
Chris and Larry were proficient and professional! My husband and I understand that accidents happen, but we had nothing to worry about with Chris and Larry moving our furniture. They didn’t ding, scratch or hurt a thing! They were friendly, personable and even cleaned up after themselves! Thanks for the hard work and kindness guys! Well done
We used this company for a move from Raleigh, NC, to South Carolina. Both gentlemen were courteous, professional, and arrived on time, giving us a 30-minute notice before arrival. Both gentlemen worked quickly, but handled our possessions with extreme care. We could not have had asked for a better experience with a moving team. This company would receive a 10-star rating from us if it were available. Excellent experience.
The people assigned to move my belongings were professional and worked very quickly. I was very happy with the service they provided.
Sherodd, Tyrell, and Tyrez are a dynamic trio. They were very patient and polite. These young men personify your motto “Movers who care”. You could also add “not just about the items to be moved but care about the people!” Please let them know how impressed I was with them!
From estimate to final payment, Two Men and a Truck made things easy. Everything was very clearly explained and they kept to schedule in all things. Shawn and JaJaun, my movers, were great, going above and beyond, getting done in record time on both ends of the move.
Our recent move was great. We used Two Men and a Truck. We had used them before for moves within our town, but this time the move was to another town. Derrick and DaQuan arrived on our doorstep in pouring down rain. They picked up furniture and heavy boxes like they were feathers, and loaded them onto the truck. When they were finished loading, they headed out to our new destination. We still had some car packing and cleaning to do, and were unable to meet them at our new condo when they arrived, again in pouring down rain. Fortunately, our son-in-law met them. They unloaded the truck and went on their merry way. Two Men and a Truck are awesome! I would highly recommend their service, and will definitely use them again, if the need arises. Hopefully, it wont! I think we will stay right where we are.
In early February our home was severely damaged in a storm. We need a moving company to immediately pack & move our belongings to storage to save them from water damage. These jerks carelessly threw all of our stuff into 5 door tall boxes. A guitar & an inkjet printer? You bet. My college diploma was face up at the bottom of one box & smashed to a million pieces. We were promised picture frame boxes were coming for our art work. Nope. Just all thrown in boxes together with nothing in between them. Almost every piece of furniture is scratched, chipped, & damaged. We just moved back home after 3 months of construction & my wife has been crying for 2 days because everything is so damaged.
Got my two bedroom apartment moved in about an hour and a half. Quick and well organized
I have given this company plenty of time to make my situation right with no response. They dropped my dresser on the steps and tore up my wall, scratched the hardwood floors in the old and new home, and put boxes where they wanted to not where they were asked to. I sent pictures as requested and followed up with no response. Do not reply back please contact us so we can make this right as I already have!
I moved on Jan 29 2020, the moving guys were on time but still confused about what they were moving, even though my husband explained what is going to be moved. Upon arriving at my new home and paying them a nice tip, I noticed a big gash in my wall going up the stairs. Movers never bought it to my attention and cleaned up the pieces of wall on the floor. I emailed Two men and a truck about the wall damage several times. This is now almost 3 months and I still have not received a call from their vendor. I offered to get my wall repaired and send them the bill, and they stated they will only pay what their vendor would charge. SMH Im very disappointed with this company and how they have handled my case.
Account coordinators were very helpful with planning, cost estimates, and general, cost-saving tips. Movers were courteous and professional! Came in under budget and on-time! Thank you!
We were extremely happy with our experience using Two Men and a Truck. The two men that came to move our furniture were extremely nice and were eager to make sure they were doing everything to please us. Some of our furniture are past family pieces and the men treated them with extra care and precautions to assure there would be no damage in transit. Thank you Two Men!!!!!
Two Men and a Truck moved our 1300sqf house 30 miles away in less than 5 hours. Movers were extremely fast and professional. Highly recommend.
They sent 2 trucks and six guys to move our 3100 sf house. They didn’t try to skimp on labor, so they were able to pack us up in a reasonable amount of time. They were very pleasant and helpful, going above and beyond what was required. They even brought up or down to the main floor some heavy items we’re donating or selling. We won’t have to tell an organization we’re donating to, or potential buyer, that they have to carry them up or down themselves. The furniture got here unscathed, which is really what matters. So they do a good job, they’re pleasant, fast without being careless, and prompt. What more can you ask?
The team that assisted me in my move executed their work in an efficient and well-thought out manner. They were communicative and tried to be mindful of the things I told them were important to me. I appreciated the care they took with my furniture and belongings. They had a couple of large pieces of furniture that had to be carried up a flight of stairs, which made this a challenging job. The move took longer than I expected, but it was mainly due to the time they took to wrap my furniture to ensure it would be protected. I really appreciated the team and thank them for all the effort they put into ensuring I was pleased with their work!
Great movers, on time, and worked hard. We would choose them again if we needed to move.
From the very beginning of my interaction with Two Men and a Truck, I was nothing but satisfied with the service. I called multiple times to change the date of my move do to circumstances out of my control and the office staff was always more than accommodating and were so nice. They were honestly some of the nicest people Ive spoken with over the phone. Once we finally had our move, the three men that showed up were so nice! They went above and beyond to explain everything and answer all of my questions. I had my dog too and were great with her! They packed up the loose things I had left to pack very well and did everything quickly. Im not looking forward to moving again any time soon but when I do, I know I will use Two Men and a Truck!
This crew was one of the best we have ever had! Polite hard working and just good guys! I would recommend them by far if anyone is moving please ask for this crew!!!!
Hit your back button on google right now and find a different moving company. My husband and I have moved numerous times and have never had this many difficulties. We are absolutely disgusted with Two Men and a Truck (Raleigh location). Not only did they break our most valuable piece of furniture, but their resolution was offering us less than 50% of the value of the piece. We even paid extra to have the full insurance and that didn’t do a single thing to help us. It didn’t even matter the paperwork we provided to inform them the cost of the piece they broke. Additionally, the movers were so unprofessional, they were careless (multiple boxes were moved upside down, they didn’t read any of the labels on the boxes as to where to place them in each room, they dented multiple walls in our new place, they didn’t apologize about breaking our piece of furniture, they lost hardware to our media console, they were repeatedly told not to touch the screen on our flatscreen and we saw them digging their fingers into the screen - we have no idea how they didn’t damage it - I could go on.) I hope by this point, you really have hit the back button and are searching for another moving company. Oh, and they charged us an additional $75 related to COVID-19 without ever even telling us. This has been the biggest headache and is 100% not worth your time, money, or energy to deal with such a “company.” If they would have resolved our issues to our customer satisfaction, this post never would have been written.
