I’ve been a customer for about ten years although you wouldn’t know it. I am essentially a stranger each annual visit. I go mostly for the frame selection not even the prices. My wife has also been a customer. She continued to go despite service after an iritis issue was well handled but she is done with this place. My appt was 215 and I was easily on time. 15 min wait.. for the friendly and efficient aide to do the preliminaries and then I waited more than 20 mins for the doc. My exam started at 335! I picked out identical and pretty expensive frames (different only in frame color) in five minutes. From there it took 45 minutes just to get the identical order entered.. same everything. I asked to have my current pair adjusted and after a couple tries I just said ‘good enough’ but are obviously out of whack and now worse.. but after more than two hours it was more than time to go. Did I mention my wife had driven me and had her afternoon wasted (she had to excuse herself from work and was once again not impressed)? So in two weeks I’ll pick up my glasses and say farewell to AIC. Done.

Have gone to Dr Ware for years, many before joining Advanced Eye. Check in was easy and courteous. The staff was extremely friendly and explained every step. Dr Wares examination was thorough and she explained every necessary detail regarding my eyes. My wife and I highly recommend Advanced Eye Care & Surgery.

The doctors can’t be good enough to offset the front office. Called and made an appointment, and they gathered my information and specific insurance data. That was followed the next day with an emailed very detailed intake form where I could not change my misspelled first name (David is not hard to spell). That resulted in an even more detailed medical questions in yet another email. Then I was reminded three times by text in the 24 hours before the appointment. I show up early as instructed when the person at the front desk asked for $85 to pay for the exam, which my insurance covers. She said they had never taken my insurance, and would not be. Since they now have my SS number among other personal protected information, my canceling the appointment after driving there is another concern. Checked other reviews before going that said the doctors were fine but the front office THAT THEY EMPLOY was a concern. They were right. Off to find a new eye doctor. Too bad one star is as low as google reviews go, but it represents the experience this morning.

My husband walked into the office to pick out glasses. There was only one other customer in the lab. Mind you he had a run in with the lady last week when he forgot to sign-in for his eye check-up and the lady snapped at him. He just chuckled and signed-in. Today he asked the lady should he just wait and she snapped SIT DOWN!. He responded I bet you lose a lot of customers with that winning personality and he walked out.

I have been seeing Dr. Debbie for years. The office staff is always helpful and friendly, and Dr. Debbie is the consummate professional who listens to me, answers my questions, and explains in terms I can understand. She truly cares about her patients.

Im bad with names but the young lady who did the test beforehand was amazing. She was super nice and very funny,she made me feel very comfortable. She also had cute nails. Dr Ware was good also she took her time to go over all my questions. The way they bill is CrazyI have never paid for an eye exam only paid for my optmat. . But my normal doctor is book till late August. I would say ask up front what the cost would be.

The doctors are very very nice. I asked for the very first appointment in the morning so I can be at my work not to late. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment as they requested. One hour I was waiting in the lobby before the technician called me. My time with the doctor was 15 minutes.

This was the first visit with Advanced Eye Care and Dr. Javier Zamora. Everyone, repeat: everyone was so welcoming and always explained what they were doing. Dr. Zamora took his time, and because of the reason I came in, I felt heard. I highly recommend him!

My visit went very well, all the staff I interacted with were very friendly and informative. I just had a routine appointment and a new glasses prescription.The only thing I can say wasn’t amazing was the experience my boyfriend had vs mine.He said the Dr and assistant didn’t say a whole lot, where as mine were super friendly and welcoming, which isn’t a big deal. The woman that ordered his glasses didn’t make him aware of all the same information that the woman helped me had. (Color choices, if the glasses were on back order and affected the wait, and things along that line.) We only found out after I said he could’ve chose a different color and told him what I was told.Overall we both had good experiences, mine was just a bit better than his.

Doctors are good and staff are nice, but yesterday me and my wife had our eye check up and we were stunned when we where assisted by nurses not wearing a mask. I expect that a medical facility will add norms for patients security and demonstrate concern on helping reduce COVID-19 spread. Doesnt matter what the state law is, the establishment can impose they own guidelines and norms (again, especially in the medical field).We are very disturbed and unhappy with the COVID safe protocols from them. At least you should have asked the patients if they mind being attended by people not wearing masks (which didnt happen).

This is absolutely the most phenomenal state of the art optometrist office In the Round Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown area! I was greeted by a wonderful receptionist that provided a warm smile that I could see in her eyes through her COVID-19 required mask!. :-). The lobby is inviting with well designed custom architecture and a wonderful and relaxing freestanding water feature. After being brought to the exam room I was asked several questions by the medical assistant that would better prepare the doctor for my examination. It wasn’t but a few minutes later that Dr. Debbie Zamora made her way into the examination room. She was Very kind and explained in detail the possibilities of what may have caused my subconjunctival hemorrhage. Her “chair side manner is “ warm and professional. I would highly recommend without question the Advance Eye Care & Surgery Medical Office in Round Rock and especially Dr. Debbie Zamora!

This is the best Eye care center I have ever visited. They have the latest in exam equipment and are always kind and professional. Quick appointment times through an easy to use website. During my first visit post pandemic I found that their attention to safety for their staff and clients are top notch. They always take the time to explain each step in the process and have the right balance between providing information and timeliness. The waiting room is really peaceful and leaves me with a disappointment that they get me in so quick. Dr Ware is amazing. This is my go to place for all my eyecare needs.

I am very disappointed how they charge my insurance. I had an appointment for eye exam normally covered by VSP. They charged my medical insurance instead of VSP. I ended up paying $80 more. They didnt inform me about change prior to exam. I dont know what extra service they provided. We need transparency before service is provided so that I can say no and I want regular vsp exam. After the fact, I am surprised that Dr had different codes and VSP wont cover it so my medical insurance would be billed. Huh?..

Staff was very professional and courteous.I and my family have been going to Advanced Eye Care for over 20 years and couldn’t be more pleased with the Doctors. No problem with the doctors, but they up charge on contacts, so Ill be finding a new vision place. Somehow with in a two year time frame my contacts for a one-year supply have more than doubled in price from what I have paid in the four years prior. When I questioned it the staff was extremely unhelpful and couldnt even pull up my billing records from the previous year because they upgraded their system and when I called and said I have copies in front of me from previous years that Im willing to send them their reply was this is the price now. No explanation for the sudden price jump or willingness on their part to look further into the matter.

Staff is very friendly! The whole while I was very comfortable and happy with the options of glasses. However, be prepared to pay yearly for an eye exam if you do not have insurance, and even if you do have insurance be prepared to have an exam every year if you want a copy of your prescription. My advice is to get it as soon as your eye exam is over. Mine has supposedly expired in March of this year, only a year after I had an eye exam with them. Most offices can release your prescription within two year, but clearly this office is focused on the money.

Dr. Debbie Zamora was excellent. Very knowledgeable, thorough and included my 13 yr old and myself in the conversation. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the steps in place for cleaning were great. We felt very safe there.

So glad I found this place! My two year old needed an eye exam and I did so much research to find an optometrist office that accepted children his age and that I felt comfortable with. Scheduling the appointment was easy, I pre-filled out all our paperwork online, check-in was fast and friendly, everyone was efficient and on time, and Dr. Zamora was wonderful! They explained everything thoroughly, were all patient and friendly, and the office was very clean and open. So thankful that we found an optometrist for our little one for years to come!

To sum up my experience I went to Advanced Eye Care & Surgery for new glasses. I went through the eye exam and I got my glasses, but they were way to strong. So I had to go back and get them fixed. It turns out that there is a difference between reading glasses and computer glasses, but that was not brought up during my exam. They did redo the prescription, but unfortunately it was also too strong and made me nauseous to ware for more than an hour. When I brought them back this time they said I had to pay over $240 to fix them. I really wish the doctor would have just been more thorough during my initial exam.

The doctors are really nice and the staff is as well. I don’t like the process in which they see multiple children. They will not see them in the same room due to scheduling issues. So as a parent I was constantly back and forth between rooms. I thought it may be covid related but they told me that they do it normally. The only way they could apparently use the same room for the children is to schedule them in every other block meaning a patient would be seen in between your children’s visit.... really odd practice. They also charge almost twice what we normally pay for prescription glasses.

I had been going here for the last 3 years for routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, and exams for eye glasses prescriptions. I called last week to schedule an appointment just to get my contact lens prescription renewed in which I was told I MUST complete a comprehensive eye exam in addition to a contact lens fitting which set my estimated total to be around $100 even with insurance. I explained to the receptionist that I ONLY needed my contact lens prescription renewed and did not want an eye exam. She continued to say that I was required to get a comprehensive eye exam on top of the contact lens fitting... So i went on google and looked through federal and state laws around prescribing contact lenses, and sure enough, there is NOTHING about a comprehensive eye exam being required. I understand possibly this is a standard set by the office, or maybe the receptionist wasnt aware... but i ended up taking my contact lens exam online for FREE through 1800contacts. Because of the misinformation, I will not be returning to this office, even when I do need a comprehensive eye exam. I feel lied to and as if this office cares more about making extra $ than customer service.The doctors seem good, though. So if you do need a comprehensive eye exam, then yes I would recommend this place. Just beware of the costs behind everything and all that they try to add to your bill!

I have been going the advanced eye care for over 10 years. The care shown to me and my family has been amazing. The doctors are great at letting us know exactly what is going on with our eyes. When necessary we have been sent to the necessary specialist to handle special surgeries. Thank goodness the doctors knew when and where we needed to be seen. Our sight is better because of their skills and concerns.

I had not been to this group in a few years. My regular doctor was not seeing patients due to COVID19 and I definitely couldnt wait, I was having issues driving. I decided to try them again. The office is well organized, clean and very nice. The tech who did all my testing was professional, courteous and patient. She was great. The doctor was the same. There is only one reason I didnt give this review 5 stars. The doctor told me I would be given my prescription at the front desk when the exam ended. When I got there, I received two prescriptions. I was totally confused. I asked why there was two, did I need to fill two? Was it a choice, either/or? My answer? You can do whatever you want. Really? That answer was NO help to me AT ALL. Frankly I think it was dismissive, rude and sarcastic. I was taken aback and offended. Honestly, I feel the doctor should have gone over this with me in the exam. I was in a hurry to get to work or I would have pushed the issue. I would have liked to have gone back later to purchase my glasses. They seem to have a really nice selection but that last interaction left me with a really bad impression. Unfortunate because up to that point the visit had gone so well, I made up my mind to go back to their office on a regular basis.

Got a yearly eye exam from another Optometrist for over 20 years and came here 3 years ago to get a crisp answer to my vision issues. They have the state of the art diagnostic equipment and experience to do both simple exams and more complicated vision issues. I highly recommend them

It’s been a few years since i’ve had my eyes checked so I decided to come here for the first time. My experience was nothing short of wonderful. The waiting area was comfy and decorated nicely. The doctors and staff are very friendly and made my appointment a breeze. Everyone I came in contact with was kind and conversations were easy. Along with this, the sanitization precautions everyone took were great. Mask are to be worn but you are still able to try glasses on (after you try them on, you put them in a bowl so the staff can disinfect them). I highly recommend this eye care center and will be coming back in the future. I left with a smile 😊

I had an appointment today to have a recheck on an issue I had with one of my eyes. They requested that I wear a mask I was super glad to wear one. My wait was short and everyone including Dr.Warner was extremely professional, knowledgeable and very nice!! 5 stars to everyone.

Offices are clean, uncrowded, and following necessary protocols for COVID. Dr. Javier Z was his usual, professional, and personable self as was the staff.I am, however, VERY disappointed that they would not accept unopened, unused, unexpired contacts* because they were past their return date policy. (A policy, I might add, that was NEVER explained. And I have been a patient with them for YEARS!)During this pandemic, where lives are turned upside down, and normal no longer exists, they should have EMPHASIZED this policy when this order was placed and received - both of which occurred during the COVID closures. (I even paid extra to have them MAILED to my home!)*My prescription has changed and I can no longer use them.

I love Advanced Eye Care and their staff. The are very nice and I could not speak higher about Dr Debra Ware. She is just and excellent and very nice Doctor.

If you are concerned about the health and safety precautions they have in order to protect patients from COVID-19, you should inquire about their policies before making an appointment. They do require their patients to wear a mask, but that’s about it. I was disappointed that they did not consistently clean instruments before/after use (while in my presence). One assistant even tried to take out my new contacts from its packaging even though she had not washed her hands (I had). I have been a patient for ten years and have had nothing but positive experiences up until now. I’ve always trusted their competency and professionalism and have never been disappointed until recently. Honestly, I think that’s why I was too baffled to say anything or stop the exam once I got uncomfortable. I hope I don’t have a reason to regret it even more than I do now.

From optical to medical, this group has it covered. Always professional, top notch technology, and a friendly staff. They caught the early signs of glaucoma in both my eyes (in my 40s) and helped me prevent needless damage. Thank you Dr Javier Zamora!

Very accommodating to the new normal. They sanitize and clean everything, you literally can see them doing it! They answer every question from start to finish and even give advice looking out as far as the next year! I would give this place a 10 but it wont let me!

My daughter is now 20 & is still her patient! the technicians in the frame area has always been wonderful, helping us pick out frames using our insurance coverage. Great doctors and nurses, bu DO NOT BUY GLASSES FROM THESE GUYS!!!I have had glasses for twenty years, and my daughter had them for five years. We have used both regular lenses and anti-reflective lenses multiple times. So, we know how the anti-reflective (anti-glare) lenses should look like.I bought a glasses for my daughter from these guys. I paid 100 dollars more for the lenses to be anti-reflective. The glasses she got was very reflective and full of glares like a $20 cheap lenses. The optics person at Costco looked at it and also said that the lenses do not look like anti-reflective lenses. So, we went back to these guys, but they insisted that the lenses are anti-reflective. I dont think these guys are dishonest, but I can confidently say that the anti-reflective lens making skills that these guys have are the worst in the market. The basic lenses at Costco seem way better.The doctors and nurses are great here, but I will never buy glasses from these guys again.

Sad Customer Service.... After several years, we will NEVER return or give this company any more business!First, called to make an appointment, the woman said she could not find insurance coverage for my sons - I dont know who is training the phone help, but our insurance is the SAME for 18 years...I made appointment, brought my son there, to get yearly eye exam and always pay the extra for retinal eye scan (all fees out of pocket). Got done, paid, ordered 6 month supply of contact lenses (would be available for pick up in 3-4 days).Today, Tuesday I get a call... They never ordered the contact lenses, because someone in billing made a mistake in the charges, and I owe $33. So, they will not order the contact lenses (even though they drafted my credit card $130.+ for the lenses last Thursday). They Need to be paid first..... They are holding my sons contact lens prescription, that has been paid for in full hostage, because they are worried they wont get their $33.!!! I would have had to go into the office to pick up the contacts, and could have simply paid the balance then... but, they are completely rude. I have NO debt, no bills I have failed to pay, this treatment is ridiculous! They are willing to loose long standing customers, repeat customers, and lens/glasses sales because THEY made a mistake, and instead of putting the customer/patient first - they care more about $33. stupid dollars.... I have given more than that to panhandlers at street corners!Well, Even talking with Dr. Zamora - they care all about the money... OMG $33. dollars? YOU LOOSE all our future business, and I WILL tell everyone how you treated us.

I had an amazing experience here. The exam is extremely thorough and the equipment is very up-to-date. They did more tests and images of my eyes than I have ever had done before and they shared the images with me and told me what I was looking at. My prescription is sharper than its ever been and I was not pressured to purchase my glasses or contacts from the office. Everyone I encountered was extremely sweet. Overall I highly recommend this facility.

We have been going to this place a few years. I have given it many tries to ensure that this review is NOT from a one time experience. They are just bad. I have had the same insurance the entire time and everytime they want new paperwork completed- this time it’s paperwork And their new system “ipad” seems like office staff is too lazy to do their job of making my job to show up and get an exam easier not more difficult. It’s stressful already to get my eyes checked. Its more paperwork than i have filled out for surgery and cancer treatments combined. Also requiring a credit card on a paperform just reaks of identity fraud potential- sorry time to find an office with less people socializing more people helping.

I found from the beginning contact with the phone receptionist to inquire about my obtaining service that she was very pleasant and helpful. The price for an eye exam was very reasonable and lower than I expected to pay. She was able to make an appointment for me the following day! When I arrived, I was impressed by the ease of parking, the friendliness of the front desk staff, and how clean and beautiful the location was.I waited just a few minutes to visit my O.D. and she was professional, compassionate, and sincere. Everyone was Great and helpful. You are not rushed in and out of your apt they seem to care about you. They seem to have up to date equipment. I like that they show you pics of your eye and explain what they see or dont see. Everyone I talked to seem to listen and care. They dont push you into buying something just to make you money. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Im rating this office 1 star since the doctor exam was fine. My main issue is purchasing the eye glasses. I initially ordered the single vision RX eye glasses. Then, I called the office after a month and asked if I could upgrade my RX eye glasses to Progressive lenses. They told me no problem so I went to the office and returned my current glasses. We filled out some paper work along with the additional cost. I was told that I get a 20% discount on a specific item. I thought that was nice. The optician advise me that it will take 2 weeks to get an approval from my insurance and another 2 weeks for the eye glasses. I was fine with that.2 weeks came by and no call. I called the office and they told me that the approval is still pending. I didnt understand what they meant about an approval so I called my vision insurance to check the status. I explained my situation to my insurance representative if they can speed up the approval process because I am using an old RX eye glasses and Im having a hard time seeing at night while driving. The insurance representative advise me that there is no approval needed, having to upgrade to a Progressive lens is not a problem since it is a covered benefit. The doctor just need to submit a corrected claim. The representative also told me that they had spoke to the Optician and advise him that the CMS codes they provided are covered. This is when it gets sticky when I called the doctors office. I found out that the approval they are waiting on is the $76 payment from the insurance which they told me its a discount price. I could not believed that I waited 2 weeks or possibly more for a stinking $76 bucks. I told the office that I will pay the $76 upfront and they can reimburse me when they received the payment from my insurance. The office staff agreed.The office seems high end but the service is ghetto standard. I had to pay the $76 to start the order......Really???? I am so upset because they misuse the word Discount and Approval when its actually a payment confirmation from my insurance. I already paid upfront $700 knowing that they already made a profit but they need to get greedy by collecting more money from my insurance before they can start the order of my new eye glasses.I will take this as lesson learned and I am disappointed that this private practice is more concern about the $$$$ over customer experience.

Very nice atmosphere. The staff are all very nice and I never have to wait very long to be seen. I like it so much that my Wife and Daughter both go there too now. They work with your insurance and are all very professional. I highly recommend them.

Had only 1 issue with this Dr. in two visits. My appointment was not on the books when I arrived, but they were able to get me in even though they were completely booked.Thank you.Their staff were extremely friendly, knowledable and make you feel very welcomed and comfortable. I highly recommend this doctor. Facilities were clean and well staffed. Nothing but good things to say about this place.Update to previous review.Just had my one year visit.Extremely happy with this place. Highly recommended.

I have been going to Advanced Eye Care for many years now and have always had a great experience with the whole team. I see Javier Zamora and my daughter sees Debbie Zamora. They are both very professional, kind, thorough and always take time to answer any questions. The staff are all very pleasant and service is prompt.

Been going here for 10 yr.dr Ware is great. Went for my yearly contact examine the amount I was to pay when I checked in was told $180. When I checked out had to pay $407.asked if there was a mistake was told no. Have called 3 other eye care to find out what they charged they were between $190. -$216. They all agreed $407. Was a bit much for exam. Ordered contacts when CVS called to verify the prescription they wont give them the information. Very displeased this time

Dr. Debbie A Zamora was outstanding. Due to her competence, I have now 20/20 vision. Thank you Dr. Zamora. The office staff was very friendly and courteous. My overall experience was highly satisfying.

Good place and they really take good care of you but the duration of the appointment is long and you waste a lot of time just waiting.
